    False advertising of Cheesesteak
    Jordan T.

Garbage. Ordered from door dash and this place is false advertising. Look at their pictures on door dash then compare them to the reviews. Absolute garbage. Who cuts all the way through on the bread of a cheesesteak and why was there no meat in the last 3" of a 8" cheesesteak? GARBAGE

Ordered through DoorDash the food arrived still hot it was fresh and tasty I really like the cheese they use it's like a provolone/American and meat was decent not too quality but better than most places I've had. I would order here again.

This is a fun, and loud place, and the place has character! We got toasted ravioli in red pepper…read moresauce (which was basically the red pepper bisque). Delicious! I could easily eat the bisque alone. We ago got the garlic cheese curds, and the Mac n cheese which was phenomenal! Last time we came, the weekly appetizer was spinach artichoke dip, that was so good, I got a second serving as "dessert" (another day). Their regular menu is great, but I also love the rotation, to add a little more variety. It was very busy, and we mentioned we were trying to make a show later, and they took care of us, and we made it on time.

Our server was super friendly. The food came out fast, fresh, and was all pretty good. Highlight apps were the pretzel bites with the beer cheese (there was waaayyyy too much cheese dip - a soup bowl full), the roasted brussels sprouts, and a Caesar salad. Around eh table, folks had the fried chicken, the Philly cheese steak, the salmon special, and some burgers. Everything was cooked nicely and served hot and fast. They have cool swag too! Free parking across the street in the parking garage. And it was a relief to find a brew pub where we could also have our 17 year old nephew join for a meal. Still getting used to the 21+ thing in Utah.

My husband hadn't stopped talking about the Toasted Cheeser food truck since he got a bacon grilled…read morecheese sandwich from there months ago. He's been wanting me to try the sandwiches on the truck but as time got away from us, the truck was closed for the day but this sister spot was open for an hour more. We headed to Newgate mall and walked inside the Quilted Bear. Tucked away in a corner is Mama's Toasted Cheeser, complete with a large counter and sizable seating area. "Mama" met us at the counter as I perused the expansive menu. I've been to grilled cheese restaurants and food trucks but none of those compared to the variety of offerings that she had. From a classic grilled cheese sandwich to the additions of ham, bacon, turkey, crab, chicken and ranch, pickles, jalapeño, pepperoni and pizza sauce, and roast beef and bbq sauce were on the menu. But then there were also 23 "specialty" Cheeser options including peanut butter, hawaiian, gyro, taco, spinach and artichoke, and ravioli grilled cheese sandwiches?!?! I was torn between the carne asada, philly cheesesteak, and pork and mac. I asked "Mama" and she said that a fan favorite was the pork mac and so I ordered that. I've had macaroni and cheese and pulled pork on a grilled cheese sandwich before which was unsuccessful. I had high hopes that this place would be able to pull it off. We ordered our sandwiches and made them combos, which included mini fries, drink, and cookies for $4. I must say I was surprised to see packaged cookies as I was thinking that fresh cookies would be included. But the amount of fries more than made up for that. If what we had was the mini fry size, I have no idea how large the other sizes are! We got our meals to go and added a little dessert - triple chocolate cheesecake and bread pudding - which "Mama" told us she got from a local bakery. My sandwich was filled with pork and the macaroni and cheese was spilling out. There was no easy way to eat it as a handheld sandwich so I resorted to using a fork and knife. Kudos to this place for using bread that held up and didn't become soggy. It had a nice crunch to it and the sprinkled parmesan on top was a nice touch. The sandwich was very good. What impressed me most was that while the macaroni and cheese and bbq pulled pork were plentiful, there was no confusion about this being a grilled cheese sandwich. The addition of three cheeses ensured a great "cheese pull". The fries seemed undercooked, limp, and a little too greasy for me. I love a great grilled cheese sandwich and Mama's Toasted Cheeser definitely understands the art of making one. I look forward to coming back and trying more of their offerings.
