Disorganized and incomplete handoff from one technician to the next technician they send to work on your issue. 6. No followup. 7. No ownership or accountability. They will not own up to their mistakes. I had six years of lackluster service, many thousands of dollars wasted and I was an idiot not to fire them after the first couple of calls. I found a more responsible and competent company and my only regret is not having replaced Gemini Mechanical sooner. To show up to an appointment is perhaps worth 1.5 or 2 stars, but my unneccesary expenses due to incompetence brings the rating down to 1 star.

They came about 5:30 pm, worked about an hour, said it was fixed and charged me $232 for labor and overtime. It quit later and I called several times on Saturday. The owner, Gary Bowien, showed up about 4:30 pm.When I tried to explain the problem he said " I am the owner. I know what I'm doing !". He worked a couple of hours and said it was fixed and it had nothing to do with the water leak. He charged me again for the call. I had explained I was 82years old, disabled,in poor health and could not go without air conditioning in 102 degree weather. It quit again 30 minutes later. They gave me a quote in Spring 2016 and due to a family responsibility, it caused me to push the project to 2017. Out of five quotes he was one of two people who came back out to requote the job. He was the only contractor that sent me a quote when he said he would and showed up on time. Pat and his guys came out and removed all the old debris from my attic and installed spray foam. He even went up and above the original plan and resealed our heating ducts and foamed around our light fixtures and air vents to seal them completely. It's only been about a month so I can't yet speak to the cost savings but I can tell you that we have been able to turn our thermostat up 6 degrees and it's still pretty cold in the house. They also installed a whole house surge protector, which is something my husband has wanted for a while. We are very happy with our decision to use Attic Dr.

Pat stopped by, and I was immediately taken by how passionate he was about the foam technology - a solution I was secretly leaning toward from my own studies. What he said resonated with what I read. Plus, I loved to work with people who are passionate about what they do. Verbal agreement reached. Pat had to delay the scheduled work a couple of times due to jobs at hand, and he had a even bigger job starting right after mine. I got concerned. By the time his team got to me, they had exactly one day to finish the job. I worried if the work quality might suffer. Pat and his team showed up on time in the morning. By the time I got home from work in the afternoon, they were done. I inspected the area, not only did they vacuum the old fiberglass as agreed, and foamed the whole vaulted ceiling, sealing every nook and cranny, they also fixed a major leak in my duct work, and foamed my AC return air plenums to keep from energy loss (duct work was not in the agreement). Ernest, one of the guys climbed under both of my fake gables to reach the real ceiling above them to foam it (I didn't even know about the hidden ceiling). All three of the guys had to have pushed hard to get so much done in one day - and then some. A big smile on Pat's face told me he was proud of what they did. It's been a couple of weeks now, and for the first time since I bought the house, I felt warm air coming out of the vent during 40 degree nights outside. The air was able to reach the 72-75 range I set, and actually stopped blowing regularly throughout the night. I think Pat's foaming of the plenums helped too. How fantastic. My word of advice is be patient, do your own research about the technologies, and work with the right contractors. The ones who responded first did not have my best interest at heart - promoting solutions that were not the best for me simply because that's what they carried. Phone tagging and delays I can handle - that's part of working with people. But when you find those guys who are passionate about getting things done right, stick with them. I'd recommend Pat, Ronnie, and Ernest to everyone (I think it was Ronnie).
