Over priced meat has no flavor no seasoning tahdig was hard as a rock only good thing was the bread

I've waited a long time before posting this to not do it out of anger, but it's been a month and I'm still pissed off. Not sure if the owner changed, or he promoted some donkey to manager and left town, but this place immediately became the worst restaurant in all of Southern California. This place ruined my moms birthday lunch. Place was at 10% capacity, it took the waiter 30 minutes to see us. I had to beg for water, considered asking the table next to me at one point. I asked for more bread and he kept saying he has to charge for it as if I can't afford another piece of toast...like just bring the bread dude. The waiter was the worst human being on planet earth, this man should be working on an assembly line, far away from any other human being. He fails to say that there's probably one person in the entire kitchen, drenched in sweat and backed up because they're "short staffed." I waited for one hour, never saw him once to check on us, until we LEFT WITHOUT EATING. It was an hour and a half at that point. Just go to Raffis. Or go get sushi at kabosu or yuzu instead. You're 100% going out of business, in 12 months nobody will read this, don't worry, it'll say business closed. read more

I hardly ever review businesses, I gave this restaurant one star because the Hostess is really nice, but don't waste your time or spend your money here. I wanted to make my daughter's birthday super special, made reservations for 14 people, "two weeks ahead of time". 1) We were sat in a section where it was extremely cold, colder than the patio. The vent was right above us, and it was so cold that the Pitas they brought us were cold in 5 seconds and the leaves on the appetizers were flying off the plates. 2) We asked 4 times if they could raise the temperature a bit, one of those times a manager came over to our table, agreed with us and did nothing about it. 3) Our guests were leaving before we even ordered our food, that's how uncomfortable we all felt. I approached the Hostess for the 5th time, and she said the manager was busy but I could speak to the General Manager, she came back a few minutes later, and Oh "the GM is busy, too". When she observed some of our guests were leaving she offered to move our party to the VIP (hence the one star rating). She did mention the fact that everyone they sit there "complains about the extreme cold temperatures", Hello!!!! do something about it! 4) Now we were at a pleasant temp. How was the food you ask? Well, for starters they ran our of HUMMUS and LETTUCE at 730pm, they close at 10pm and as I mentioned before we made a reservation "two weeks before the event", we did not show up unexpectedly! How do you run out of Hummus and Lettuce? I don't eat rice and they had no lettuce for my salad, but still charged me for it. 5) The waitress never replaced the cold Pitas. 6) I ordered the beef Shish kabob "Medium rare" and some pieces were well done, dry, and hard. Guests who ordered them well done, got them raw and bloody. 7) You might ask why didn't we return it? and Let me tell you, because we were starving and they took forever to serve our food. I would not return here, I would not recommend this place to anyone, Don't waster your time or money. read more

Couldn't wait to try this new restaurant and give them business during the shut downs. Staff was friendly, enthusiastic & super nice, but that is where it begins and ends. Shish Ka Bob was bland and had no char searing. It was "blah" looking and "blah" tasting. Felt like I threw away my money. Rice is coated with starch and pasty, like it was not pre-rinsed. Shirazi salad is bland and Hummus has too much tahini. Grilled vegi garnishes are skimpy. Bread looked great but was tasteless. We were most disappointed and will not return. read more

horrible restaurant ! , it used to be a good place regardless of its price that has been always too much , The food and services were good but recently everything turned to a diastee. . we used to go there every week for past 3,years or order from them but from couple of months ago we noticed decline of everything : koobieh was always under cooked Fesenjan stew salty and super sour , we had to wait and get ignored by waiters so many time . 2 weeks ago we ordered chicken it was raw we asked to re do it they refused . lastweek the waiter forgot one of our order and we had to wait so long ee didnt get it but They charged us ! and Finally tonight , we waited 2 hours to get our food ,our waitress didnt show up to explain or even refill our drinks . when we asked to talk to manager he responded so rudly, no apology or saing any kind words. Anyhow we leaft the restaurant hungry and very disappointed.at 9:15 pm .They ruined our family night and will never go back . please dont go to this place . The manager changed and so did the chef . the food is horrible , the service is super bad and its super pricy comparing with other persian restaurants around . so dont recommend this restaurant because they disrespect you and you put your money in the trash . read more

The food is very high in quality and delicious! We had a small group meeting and ate at Pardis today, in their patio, and the service and quality of the ingredients and food was truly much higher than I've seen at most restaurants. The ambience is lovely also! read more

Fantastic. Was in the neighborhood and got this for pick up, knowing the area's great Persian food. The portions were impressive, fed me for days, and it was food that I actually continually wanted to eat for days. It felt like they gave me extra special treatment and food, but I'm sure this is just their way. Got the koobideh with a salad (substantial for a side), and a side of hummus with extra flatbread, because I always assume I'll need more. Let me say I didn't need the extra, but glad I got it. Felt like a bakery in here! Would love to further support this business in the future. read more

Tonight We had the best beef and chicken kabab at Pardis restaurant. Both dishes were the best we have ever had. They have many items of Iranian and Armenian cuisine. Great choice of appetizers. The manager Mehrdad is so attentive and staff were amazing too. He visited our table couple of times to see if we were happy with our food and drinks. Everything is first rate with this place. Plenty of parking and choice of inside, patio or outside sitting. I highly recommend it. Definitely we'll go there again. read more

Let me start off with the positive instead of the negative... Although we got off to a rocky start with our waitress we ended up being very happy with her when we left. At the beginning she wasn't very attentive and also forgot that we ordered hummus so never brought it but she made it up with her good attitude and attentiveness once we brought it to her attention. The food itself was very good, I got the shish kabob skewer and it was seasoned great and came with a heap of rice. Now on to something's I noticed thus the 4 stars and not 5 - like I said the waitress said there was a big party and that's why she was distracted sometimes and had trouble picking up the speed, I empathize but I do not agree, it is not my problem that they are not hiring more people so that the guests don't run into issues, if they can't handle the volume of people they shouldn't accept any more customers for the night. Secondly, they brought me a butter knife to cut my steak with , which was very hard so I asked for a steak knife and they said they don't carry any steak knifes in the restaurant... how odd, they have so much meat and no steak knives ? Probably the worst dining experience in Glendale. The food had no flavor & meat was over cooked. My main dish (Beef Shish) came out with the wrong rice & wrong salad, while they have perfected service without a smile. I couldn't pay the bill & leave fast enough. read more

Mediocre food. No service whatsoever. Takes 15 minutes to get your order then wait 55 min(if you are lucky) to get your luleh kebab.

Food is excellent. Everything from appetizers to main course and deserts. I would recommend this for both sit down, catering, or to go. 10/10 for kabob places. read more

First time eating here, I'm a local Glendale native! Came for Lunch with another person and have to say I was very impressed with the place! The portions are large, the service was wonderful ( although) the Manager asked everyone except us how the food was during his walk around! Didn't matter anyway I would have told him it was delicious! I enjoyed everything from the dark, fresh brewed unsweetened Ice Tea to the Chicken Shish-kabob! The outdoor Patio seating was very nice and cool on a hot afternoon! The fresh baked bread with the plate of herbs ( Lemon Basil) and Onion was very nice as well! This place is so good!! My boyfriend and his dad went to eat here and brought me some food back home, I was surprised at the fact that the food was still warm when I got it. The portions are huge and the bread is so delicious. I will definitely have to give this place a visit sometime. read more

Food ordered: Starters: ikra, kashke badmjan, mast mussir Mains: trout kabob, soltani, chicken kebab, veggie kabob, red and white wine. Ambience is great, I will give them that. It's a nice little outdoor patio with a great layout. What staff they had was incredibly friendly, but they were absolutely short staffed for the volume of customers they had (some of which definitely overstayed their welcome, so not the restaurant's fault). Totally understandable and will probably hit their stride down the line. The biggest gripe has to be with the food quality which is pretty average. The pilavs (plain and baghali) were a bit bland and the mezes kind of puzzling: I have no idea what was going on with the ikra but I would absolutely stay away (it tasted budget canned). The kashke badmjan wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about. Of all the dishes the tea was the most on point (that's not a sneer, it was actually really well done). Given the ambience and staff, the hope is they'll improve the food and we'll be able to come back. Definitely worth giving another chance. read more

An absolute landmark in the Glendale community. Fantastically flavorful stews, juicy grilled meats, and amazing rice dishes. The dips and appetizers are amazing with generous portions. Delicious Armenian house wines. Incredible service that makes you feel at home. Always a good mix of young couples, family gatherings, and every other combination you can imagine. The lady in the front was extremely rude, which reduces their customer service to a 1/10. Also, their food, which I paid over $100 for, has no taste!!! The chicken barg smelled awfullll!! I ordered their luleh kabob plate to go. It was very delicious and tasty. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture. It was a very nice portion. It came with side of grilled tomato and pepper, but the best part was the in-house made bread. It was awesome. They also gave side of basil.
