    Avocado toast with poached eggs
    Christine H.

This restaurant is located within the Ritz and I stopped in for breakfast. It is $$$$, my avocado toast with poached eggs was $38 but it is one of the best I've ever had! It was an avocado mousse so a little lighter and had a perfect balance of salt and fresh veggies. Service was phenomenal and very attentive

We had breakfast here the morning after having dinner at The Lounge. If I remember correctly, this was on Christmas Day so extra appreciation to all the staff who came into work. Even though this place is equally ritzy and within The Ritz as The Lounge, I always feel that having breakfast is a lot less pressure. The menu selection was very limited, and if I remember correctly my boyfriend got the huevos rancheros while I got the eggs benedict. Portion sizes are certainly just barely enough to fill you up, which I suppose is good if you're not a big on breakfast kind of person. Which is not me. I'm big on breakfast, big on brunch, and appreciate a good variety when it comes to both, so my tummy may have still been grumbling after I ate the last bite of eggs benny off my plate. The color and consistency of the hollandaise sauce was best in class though. The English muffins were toasted evenly to perfection, and the precision between the placement of the ham to the sprinkling of the sesame seed garnish to the small pile of potatoes with the chili on top on the side demonstrated intentional attention to detail. Service was stellar, the ambiance was clean and inviting, with minimal noise for a great way to start the day. If food quality and presentation as well as attentive service are most important to you, you'll find a five star experience here.

We had breakfast at Parallel 37 at the Ritz Carlton, and while it was a solid experience, it's definitely on the pricey side. The staff was incredibly helpful in accommodating my husband's gluten allergy, which we really appreciated. He had the huevos rancheros, and I went with scrambled eggs--both dishes were tasty, but nothing that blew us away for the cost. The flavors were good, but honestly, for the price, we expected a bit more. It's a nice spot if you're in the area, and has a cozy upscale vibe inside but we might not rush back considering the price tag.

Situated just at the edge of Nob Hill and above Union Square, along Stockton and California Streets, The Ritz-Carlton automatically makes you feel like an elite. The marble-lined lobby and dark gray lobby bar with its rectangular chandelier are luxe and moody spaces, and then further inside to the left of the entrance is Parallel 37, the hotel's restaurant that has its bar right in the middle. Sleek and sexy are just two words to describe the ambiance at Parallel 37, which is so named after the 37th parallel North line, of which Northern California touches, of which each dish on their menu is influenced by the cuisine of the countries that run along the 37th parallel. What brought me here was a specially curated dinner that a group of colleagues and I were able to enjoy a recently curated dinner hosted at Parallel 37 as a special occasion. With their full bar being able to be utilized and their private dining space behind a glass wall and door, our group were treated like VIPs. We began our evening sipping on three wines, two from Skyside, a Chardonnay and a Cabernet Sauvignon, and then Cuvee Brut from Gloria Ferrer for good measure. With mini quiches to satiate our appetites as we mingled in their vast space we managed to take it all in as our fellow guests poured in from their lobby. Our dinner began with their salad course, which was Roasted K&J Stone Fruit Salad served with seasonal chicory lettuce leaves, feta crumbles, pistachios, and topped with a shallot banyuls vinaigrette dressing. For our entrée course, we were given the option of their Seared Beef Tenderloin served with their summer truffle gratin potatoes, sautéed French green beans, blistered cherry tomatoes, and topped with truffle beef jus or we could select their Spring Onion Polenta, which was served with roasted wild mushrooms, charred asparagus tips, braised Swiss chard and topped with a pecorino hollandaise. For our dessert course, we enjoyed a Strawberry Mousse, which was served with a vanilla wafer, strawberry compote, vanilla anglaise, and lemon mint infused strawberries. Our dinner was served with just the right tenor and with extra pours of wine, everything was paired perfectly. I do have to say that both our salad and our dessert courses were the highlights of our meal, as the salad was as fresh as it was prepared thanks to the extra portions of peaches that were sourced locally and our dessert was the perfect amount that it didn't go overboard and was in the most unique shape that I have ever seen as it resembled that of an earbud holder, no kidding, but was simply refreshing, as it paired perfectly with a cup of coffee, which thankfully was provided and at The Ritz-Carlton is one of the best I've had. My entrée was plated beautifully as it was equal parts meat, potatoes and green beans. It was served with an abundance of gravy which soaked up too much of the dish, and one of my fellow diners said that their meat was too well-done for their tastes, although mine was cooked decently enough. With a solid overall experience, it saddens me that more people cannot try the dinner service at Parallel 37, as currently they are only serving breakfast seven days a week. Almost a decade and a half ago, I remember that they were the place to be for an early evening libation followed by a crafted dinner by their world renowned chef that was hired to spruce things up. As little as two years ago, Forbes Travel Guide released its list of winners for top Bay Area restaurants considered to be among the "most outstanding" businesses around the world and Parallel 37 was actually one of their picks, which makes it all the more surprising to their pivot to a breakfast only service. Once this place has the ability to reopen as a full-service restaurant, watch out, as I can only imagine their bar area bustling with customers both from the hotel and in the neighborhood, enjoying a fruity mixed concoction, and an internationally inspired menu that sticks to basics with some seasonal California twists.

This restaurant is located in the Ritz, San Francisco. We came here for breakfast, on two different days. The breakfast was so good the first time, we wanted to go a second time before we left San Francisco. I think the eggs benedict was the best I've ever had. The egg was perfectly poached. The ham was delicious, was not over cooked and dry. The muffin was perfectly toasted. It was light and airy, like a crumpet. Tasted very fresh, like homemade. The second time, I ordered the omelets. That was very good too. The eggs were fluffy and cooked just right. I was a happy customer. My husband very much liked his breakfast, also. He ordered the French toast and an eggs benedict. The service was excellent. The staff addressed by our names and were very nice. We had a pleasant time.

We ate here two days in a row for breakfast. The service is amazing and the staff was excellent. They always remembered our name and were so polite. It really made and impression. The first day we were in a rush and I wanted the French toast but the server said it would take longer as would the pancakes. So I go the eggs benedict like my wife. They really got them out quickly and It was amazing. The next day I was able to relax and I had the French toast and boy it was yummy. Loved it. My wife got an omelet and was great as well. The server was so nice and spoke with us a bit and remembered us from the day before. Oh and don't forget the fresh squeezed J. wow.

Staff were amazing! Food was great! Place was really nice. We ordered from the food tasting menu and from the regular menu. I even got a present for my birthday with a handwritten note, cake from the servers, extra food and desert from the chef. It was such an awesome experience!

Breakfast spot inside the ritz. When you're staying at the ritz and have a food and beverage credit you have to eat there so that's what my wife and I did. The food was good it definitely tasted fresh and the service was good. Get the eggs Benedict they were delicious. This place is unbelievably over priced tho but if you're staying at the ritz you probably can afford it so no need to dock a star here. But like $14 for a bowl of fruit loops? Ouch that seems like highway robbery but such is life at the ritz one can conclude.

When I go out to dinner it is understood whatever is ordered will be shared. Whether the entrees are split or my fork goes onto your plate - we will be sharing. This makes Chef's Tastings perfect for selfish people who just don't share because everyone gets the same exact thing, the same portion, at the same time. Couple that with a wine pairing and now there is a completely effortless shared dining experience without the stress of not wanting to share or sharing too much. We had the perfect booth where we could feel like we had privacy without having privacy. Service was outstanding. Zach is as skilled with describing the menu as he is with the wines offered. The chefs made sure to make my food as gluten free as they could. I appreciate that attention to detail. Each dish that graced our table boasted technical merit, balanced flavor profiles, and a true celebration of food. There was nothing more I could want. Wait. Yes - another visit, and so I will. I invite you to do the same. Celebrate your love of food by sharing. Here. With the Chef's tasting. Fiver earned, fiver given!

Staying at the ritz which is where this place is located we were looking for a quick and good breakfast. The food and service was outstanding. Great ambience and again I can't express how good the service was.

Stopped here for a Japanese garden cocktail with my friend Patricia who lives here. This place is BOMB!! Cute guys too and awesome service!! Awesome ambience and beautiful decor!!

The service was great and the food was very flavorful! I had the 16oz Ribeye great taste (a little too much fat) and the Yukon gold whipped potatoes. The potatoes tasted amazing but the portion size was about 2 tablespoons.... booooooo! There is no reason to skimp that hard! The short rib potato pancake appetizer was amazing but the portion size was so small... booooo! Extensive wine list but no Syrah. They could have dimmed the lights slightly. For a fine dining experience they could get rid of the big tv at the bar.

    Delicious sourdough!

I was craving a refreshing craft cocktail and got one with the Green Emmanuelle. I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

Seeing that it was named one of the top 50 best bars in North American, we had to check it out! We came in a Thursday night in mid-April about 9:45 PM. They have security outside thar checks IDs & also manages the queue in case the bar gets too crowded. We had no issues getting in, but there were zero indoor seats available - both the bar & table seating. Thankfully, they have a really cozy & well-lit patio area. The waitress let us know that even the outdoor patio has table-side service, so we made ourselves comfortable on the outdoor bench & within seconds she had brought us waters & cocktail menus. Weather outside was really nice, so I'm glad we actually sat outside. Each cocktail is $20, which definitely is a little steep, but I think the creativity, quality, & prestige of being named a top 50 bar supports the price. Each part of the menu is organized by liquor ie whiskey, vodka, brandy, gin, etc. We tried 4 drinks total. I only took menu photos of the pages we ordered from but they have a lot more selections. We ordered the Kung Fu Pandan, Silky Street, Rice Rice Baby, & Tropical Gangsta. We had some favorites over others, but all were very well crafted! The drinks came out pretty quickly considering how busy it was. The only hiccup was our final drink took quite a while. Turns out the ticket machine malfunctioned & deleted orders put in & caused a back-up. The waitress was so apologetic & ended up comp-ing 2 drinks, which she definitely didn't have to but it speaks volumes to the high standards they hold themselves to & their customer service.
