So I've been going here for years now and I love it. The staff is friendly and their schedules are very accommodating. The only reason I give them 4 stars is because their products and sometimes services can be a bit pricey, but with salons I feel like you get what you pay for, so I keep going back PROS: -Currently remodeled, very nice -A lot of the stylists and spa therapists are highly skilled and experienced -One of the only places that I know of that offers eye brow tinting, which I do religiously! -Convenient location -Schedules are very accommodating and they are very willing to work with you if you have to cancel -Friendly staff -You get some (only a bit, but it still counts) money off of products for buying other products and services (I think it has to accumulate) CONS: -Products are expensive, but I'm not sure how much control they have over that -The stylists costs are more expensive the more experienced they are (but I think that's typical for salons?) -Can be kind of noisy in the actual salon -Some stylists have limited availability read more

Susie S. is who I have been seeing this whole time and have no interest in changing. There is something about the relationship with your hairdresser. You stay with one for a long time and you can think of all the different milestones that have happened over the years. When I started going to her, her daughter was 8 years old. Her daughter is now 23 and my daughter is 8 years old. Blows my mind. Would I go back? Absolutely! Every 4 to 6 weeks I'm back. Wouldn't go anywhere else, ever. read more

So I decided to try this place after my hairdresser moved. The inside is very nice, but that's really the only good thing I can say. My stylist was really sweet and the cut was good, but the color of my hair wasn't changed at all. I had a picture of what I wanted. It was $125 for no change besides the haircut. Went in to get a bad bleach job fixed and just have my highlights back and expressed to not use ash anything on my hair it pulls green,they used a very strong..ash toner..and now I have pastel blue..yes pastel blue and a green hughe with all my root growth showing..manager says it will wash out after a while, so now I am in worse shape than when I originally went in 148$ later! I went to this place for the first time a couple months ago and had my hair cut and colored by a girl named Hannah Powell. I was super nervous because I have never colored my hair before. She was extremely sweet and understanding. I showed her my Pinterest inspiration and she absolutely nailed it. I ended up coming back and putting more color into it!! I already have another appointment with her to add more. I loved my experience with her so much that I asked her to do my hair for my wedding. I highly recommend this salon and Hannah, she took her time and made sure I was consistently happy and comfortable through out the whole process. I swore I wasn't going to do this because they've always been good to me, but I'm sick and tired of being the bad guy for the past 15 months because I don't want people, their elderly parents, or their children to die. The CDC mandate is that anyone who is vaccinated can choose to go without a mask, even indoors. Fine. The employees, including the one who does my hair, were all bragging about how they're NOT VACCINATED AND WON'T WEAR MASKS. Every salon in Cincinnati makes their employees show a vaccine card to come work maskless. . I was upset and brought it up, only to become public enemy number one, anyone else who tries to keep people safe and is "the asshole" because you're interfering with their good time can understand this. I took some pics of them, realized immediately it was the wrong way to handle it, and deleted them in front of my hairdresser. I got a call I was no longer welcome, and to be honest even though I'm both vaccinated and wear a mask, I don't want to be part of this when the shit hits the fan there and there's an outbreak. No one likes to be told they're being irresponsible but I'm not going to lie about something this important. Anyone going there who is not vaccinated needs to know you're taking your life in your hands. UPDATE: I received a phone call from this location yesterday telling me to never return. I contacted Deborah Celek, owner, who expressed her agreement with their behavior. I do not write untruths. There is nothing in this review that this false. They did not change their mask policy to match CDC guidelines, they're stated above, they changed it to match what I believe DeWine said or hinted was okay. At any rate, it's over and not my problem, the purpose of the review is to inform other customers. I have been going to Paragon for a while now. Originally, I chose this location because a friend of mine was working there, and I was going to have her do my hair. When she left for Texas, she recommended some other stylists working there. I settled on Jenna, and have had a great experience with her as well. She is always open to new ideas, and can tell me if an idea that I have for my style will work for me or not. The atmosphere of the salon puts you at ease instantly when you walk through the door. I haven't really had very many other services here other than cut and color, but if the staff that does these services is anything like the people I have had for cut and color- you can't go wrong. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great style! read more

First my partner was told she could no longer go to the Salon because she missed two appointments. Now I've been told I can no longer go to the Salon because my hair dresser Michelle "feels" pressured by me. All I did was have a calm, candid conversation with her about not telling me that she no longer wanted to do my partner's hair but rather letting the owner of the studio take the fall. This is the most unprofessional treatment I have ever had. I would not recommend this hair salon. They obviously do not feel they need customer loyalty. read more

I came to this salon a few weeks ago. I drove a client here to get her hair done. I sat in the reception area for 2 hours and no one offered me anything to drink or acknowledged me in any way. I sat there reading a book and listening to the employees at the front desk joking, laughing & talking amongst each other like I was invisible. I got so thirsty I had to walk to Speedway to get a drink. I just read an article about how to tell if you are in a not so good hair salon and what happened to me was one of the signs. My client's hair looked very nice so that part of the visit was fine. Going into a salon for the first time can be a little intimidating so having the people skills to make someone feel welcome and comfortable is important. Not what it used to be. Poor management, and bad haircuts. I've been a paragon salon fan for years! Defended it to friends as they all stoped being clients. But I brought my son in for a perm, the wrong rods were used. When I told them it was wrong before they cut his hair she told me I was wrong. So they cut the worse haircut I have ever seen, and of course the rods were the wrong size and his hair stood straight up. But even worse the cut had massive chunks that were uneven. So instead of fixing it the manager Dee said... well we are closing soon so go away. Who does this? Not to mention I tried to explain my sons severe medical issues (he lost his intestinal yeast and is very difficult to get in and out depending on his condition). Dee was beyond rude. I called the next morning and let them know he was struggling to get past his morning treatment and running 15 min late we showed up in 20 min and she refused to let him have his appointment. Who treats kids this way. If the perm didn't take but the haircut was at least straight we would be fine. But look at the pictures... it was not anything that could be worn out in public. Dee, you are representing this salon and the owner. We feel disappointed beyond explanation for your service and the treatment you have given my son. Don't spend your money or time here. I moved to a new part of town last fall and on a whim (and going on 7 weeks without a haircut) decided to visit Paragon on Montgomery Rd. I was given an appointment with Amanda, who is sweet, talented and so much fun. I've been there 4 times so far and I am completely thrilled with the service. Everyone there is so great. A couple times I've had my younger son with me tagging along and they always offer him cocoa and make him feel comfortable and welcome. This location is going through a remodel (they'll remain open and do it gradually) and I can't wait to see the new space come together at my future visits! read more

VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! The receptionist (ASlhey) and then the manager (Dee) both refused to listen and respond appropriately to my feedback (and annoyance) about my online and phone experience. The receptionist (Ashley) put me ON HOLD WHILE I WAS TALKING so she could "escalate" me to the manager, even though I did not ask or want to be escalated which made my experience worse, not better. It was a minor annoyance, a "sorry for your experience, we'll look into it" would have handled it. Then the manager (Dee) came on the phone and not only refused to actually listen to me, she interrupted me and talked over me even after I asked her several times not to do so. It made no difference to Dee, who WOULD.NOT. LISTEN!!! She managed to turn my slight annoyance into rage. Even when I warned her that she was unnecessarily escalating the situation and that she was risking my business, she continued to interrupt and talk over me. She could write step-by-step instructions on how to totally alienate clients who want do business with her salon, as I did. I now have to find a new stylist, based solely on Dee's efforts. It's sad, because I liked my stylist there. I strongly suggest avoiding this salon. Customers are there are treated as adversaries, not valued clients. They have no idea how to resolve problems. In fact, I sent an email to them after this happened and waited a week and got no response, so here is my Yelp review. read more
