Made a reservation for Sunday brunch here for 11:45 AM. I was surprised when they had brunch availability on a weekend because every time I walk by this place in Bishop Arts, it is packed on weekends so maybe I just got lucky. In addition to always being packed, it looks like there's always a fun party happening here. There's always some sort of live music too. On this particular weekend day though, it wasn't too crazy and there wasn't any live music, but it was still a delightful time. As we finished out brunch however, it did seem to fill up more. The place is designed beautifully with an outdoor space that looks like a secret garden and lots of botanical vibes indoors and outdoors. The food is pretty decent, but would appreciate more standard brunch options (they have avocado toast, but lacking in items like waffles, pancakes, omelettes etc.). I had the tomato tartine with an added egg and a latte. I have previously had avocado toast here. The food is good, but not spectacular. The ambiance and service are what make this place great! read more

We've been to Paradiso twice since they reopened through Covid. First off, the food and drinks are good, and the ambiance is almost unparalleled in Dallas. If you're looking for a photogenic location for a good meal, this is the perfect place. The first time dining here was on a summer evening. We were seated in the middle of the main patio, so our table was outdoors and it was still somewhat sunny while the sun was setting. From the time we sat down until the sun set, we were bombarded constantly by large flies. The waiter did apologize a number of times, and mentioned they had candles for the tables that would deter the flies but they were all in use. The flies were so bad we did not order food until we had received a candle. The second time dining here was late fall, and we sat on the upper patio closer to the road. We were somewhat away from the main patio of the restaurant, and we experienced quite a delay in receiving our drinks. We were informed the bar was very backed up, but we also felt it was somewhat of an "out of sight out of mind" situation. Again, overall this is the place to go for photo worthy dining. All our drinks and meals were tasty. Will likely be back again, with proper preparation ahead of time! read more

I attended brunch with a friend at Paradiso for the first time. The ambiance and service was exceptional. A great spot to meet friends for drinks and to take cute pics. The food was good, but just didn't wow me. I would return, but will try a different dish next time. read more

First time at Paradiso...my husband and I came in late and decided to sit at the bar and it was definitely the best decision we could've made. Not only were all the bartenders unbelievably helpful and attentive and kind, the best part of our evening was having a chance to chat with the head chef who...was an AMAZING human. Our food was perfect (and we have pretty high standards having moved here a week ago from NYC), but the hospitality and conversation we ended up having with everyone working there, the chef being our fave) will have us coming back again and again. To boot - the decor and ambiance is also so on point. And the bar right next door is SO fun to hit up for a night cap after being full from dinner. Overall VERY fun experience. read more

I had my birthday dinner here, and it was so great! We brought in a cake, and our server took it back, put candles on it, then brought it back out for us with small plates and a knife. Food was super good too! read more

The food and drink menu was impressive. I had the octopus. It was a delish. All around great food and cool vibe.

We went to celebrate my nieces belated birthday and she really wanted to go to Paradisio for Sunday brunch. We arrived at about 12:30 and was told there would be a 45 minute wait, which was not a big deal. We went to the bar to have drinks while we waited after being told it was first come first serve on the bar seating. There were half consumed drinks and appetizers in front of two empty bar stools, so we couldn't tell if the seats were available or if people were coming back. After being completely ignored for about ten minutes or so, we decided to walk down the street and do some shopping. I like that they allow for you to leave and will text you when your table is ready, so that worked out fine. It was a beautiful day and we were sat at a table on the patio, which was great! Again, we were completely ignored for about ten minutes, until a busser brought our water and set ups. Another ten minutes or so later, our waiter, who was very nice and personable asked us if we were ready to order. We asked for menus and were told that we needed to scan the QR code, but we were not given one. "Oh, it's at the front by the host stand. Let me get that for you." Well, we waited a few minutes and when a busser came back to fill our water, we asked for the QR code. Our waiter came back, asking us if we were ready to order. We still hadn't seen the menu, but ordered mimosa (by the carafe). We were brought an open bottle of champagne and a side of oj by a random employee...great! But no glasses. I tried to get the champagne runner's attention, but he was totally oblivious. I got up to tell the host, who had seen me at least three times already and he acted like it was the first time he'd seen me! But we got glasses. Still waiting for a menu though. FINALLY got the QR code, so about thirty minutes later, we're looking at the menu. We'd been there so long, I felt pressured to order asap or we might not see our waiter for another twenty minutes. So we ordered the biscuits and gravy, pork shoulder and hash, niece got the caprese sandwich. The food is good (not great, although the french fries were exceptional). Half way through my meal, a fly landed in my mimosa, so waited quite a while before our waiter came back and got me another glass of bubbly and refilled nieces. So, our sweet waiter redeemed himself when he comped two glasses of champagne and a piece of birthday cake and did a little bday song and dance for my niece. (We saw him do this with a larger party on the patio...she wanted her song and dance too!). Pros: The place is beautiful. The patio is exceptionally beautiful. Great people watching. Our waiter was very sweet and personable, but I think he might've been a little overwhelmed. He was invisible for most of our visit. Cons: Service is the slowest in Dallas. With the pandemic, you'd think they would be going above and beyond to make people happy and bring them back. I felt ignored for the most part (I told my niece that if we ever go back, we're taking her cutest gay boyfriend with us....those are the tables that seemed to get the treatment!). I saw the manager, host, as well other servers walk by us and never acknowledged us. Being in the food and beverage service for years, it was just annoying that we walked in prepared to drop a C-note and felt ignored. There were a lot of people there waiting to get in, so hopefully the slow service was a fluke. My niece seemed to enjoy herself and that's where she wanted to go, so no regrets here. I will probably not go back because of poor service and would not recommend to my friends. It's sad that so much money was put into Paradiso and there is obviously a lack of proper training. There are so many places in Dallas where I would rather spend my money. read more

Easily my new favorite place in Bishop Arts/Dallas! Came here for drinks at the bar, and ending up grabbing dessert and French fries as well! Blake m, our bartender, was so amazing recommending our dessert and wine pairing! Definitely will return as often as I'm in the city! read more

Food isn't that great, honestly. Not much flavor to the Veggie pizza and Amatriciana pasta. I'm not entirely sure how it has such high ratings. staff was friendly enough, but not exceptionally friendly either like some of the reviews said. I really wouldn't go out of my way to come here again. Also the drinks were below expectations. read more

This place is stunning.. absolutely fabulous. A European / Mediterranean chic indoor-outdoor villa with fantastic setup. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. To top it all off, one of the highlights of this place is their brick oven, where they make divine, fresh Mediterranean pita bread. Their cocktails are another highlight of this place. The next time you are around bishop arts district and looking for a fabulous place to hangout with your girlfriends, do not pass up on this place! read more

the spicy marg was good, the fish dip was bomb, the ambience and vibes are immaculate. Will def come back for more.

I considered this place for my own birthday but glad I didn't because we celebrated my friends birthday here and the experience wasn't the greatest. The place itself is beautiful inside and out and very spacious with a nice patio but our service could have been better. Our waiter wasn't too friendly too the point that I felt uncomfortable even asking him for anything because he seemed put off by it. When he refilled everyone's water, he somehow managed to skip the birthday girl's water and seemed annoyed that she requested her glass to be refilled. We ordered a few appetizers (the hummus was my favorite part of the meal and I recommend getting) and had to request more bread. The additional bread was placed at the other end of the table and wasn't enough so I asked again for more and a little while later, they tried clearing dishes for main dishes but I had to remind them again I didn't get my bread and to leave my appetizer plate. When I did get my bread, it was burned so I just ate the inner part. I ordered the Caprese sandwich with salad but only had a bit of it to taste and it was good. However, the salad was too salty. I thought maybe it was just concentrated on the part I took a few bites from but when I tried to eat the left overs, I realized the whole salad was salty like the salt shaker lid fell off and too much got on my salad. The waiter also seemed mad I didn't use the extra to go box I requested and mad because he had to make multiple trips for to go items for our table because he didn't provide enough the first round. My friends also didn't get their drinks they asked for twice so they finally did when they had the bus boy grab someone to help out. It seemed like maybe our waiter was having a bad day or wanting to end his shift quick but unfortunately this experience didn't leave me wanting to come back and try again. If I did come back, it would purely be because of the beautiful botanical atmosphere or because another friend wanted to go. read more

I usually love coming here but unfortunately my experience this evening was far below satisfactory. First of all it was at least 100 degrees in the restaurant. When we politely asked our waiter, Federico, to adjust the AC he looked at us like we had lost our minds. Second of all once we received our food our waiter didn't check on us once. Overall I was extremely disappointed. We were here celebrating my birthday and I was very upset at how terrible our experience was. read more

This place is racist. I have been here before with my all white family and all was decent. Went back with some POC and we had to leave. It was one thing after another. Please do not grace this restaurant with your business. I was astounded at how we were treated. We were all dressed well and polite, but we did have to leave after the 6th incident in like 10 minutes. Hostess and two servers were extremely demeaning, rude and arrogant. Disgusting. I am sad they got their way (they wanted us to leave, it was obvious) but we made the right choice. read more

I have visited Paradiso several times over the past year and have enjoyed it each time. The waiters have always been kind and eager to share their thoughts on the menu, which I love. The food has always been great and there's a wide array of options. I did not, however, appreciate the attitude of a hostess tonight. I understand that Saturday nights are busy, but if someone is attempting to dine at your establishment and comes back to claim their table, it is not much to ask for a kind interaction. She was extremely off putting and had I not enjoyed the food it would stop me from coming to this place all together. read more

Beautiful decor, great food. It was a little hot, but bearable. The service was great

Come for the views and drinks NOT THE FOOD. Like the previous reviewers said, food is not great (or good even), ambiance is gorg. Obviously by looking at photos this is a gorgeous spot to be. And with that comes the expectation that the food is going to be just as amazing. However, this is not the case. The food is extremely underwhelming. We ordered the fried artichokes, beet salad, and Lamb Pappardelle. Fried artichokes were ok, but a little greasy and bland. Beat salad was extremely boring and bland. And the lamb pasta was basically just noodles with oil and lamb. It definitely needed a sauce. I ordered a side of red marina to add to it and honestly it significantly improved it. Several people at the table did the same and we all agreed adding a side of red sauce helped immensely. (Which is kind of hysterical that we needed to add a side of cold marinara to their pasta to make it good). My friend ordered the cacio e pepe, and it was SO much pepper that it tasted like someone had accidentally dumped out an entire can of pepper into the pasta. (And i LOVE pepper). It was seriously inedible. Tasted nothing like a traditional cacio e Pepe. Not even sure if there was cheese (traditionally pecorino romano) in the pasta because it was literally a cup of table pepper with butter pasta. Service was great. We had a large party of 17 or so. Marco Polo was our waiter and he was wonderful. However they added gratuity automatically for our large party--which is always their loss because I would usually tip more than the suggested gratuity. read more

I went to Paradiso last night and had a good experience. Our waiter Edward was personable and nice and he didn't a great job. We got the hummus and the artichokes for appetizers. Those two dishes were delicious. The apps were better than the main courses that came later, and I must admit I was a little disappointed by the entrees. We got a pizza (ham & cheese?) that was alright, but there was nothing special about it. I didn't really like the mussels at all, but I'm very particular about how seafood is prepared. We also got the campanelle pasta that's actually did have some good flavor. And the spiced chicken was alright as well, it was slightly dry. I was with 3 other people and we split 7 dishes together total and the bill ended up being very reasonable for what we got. So I was happy I didn't overpay for the food, because while it was good, I wasn't exactly blown away. The atmosphere really makes this place. It was very enjoyable. I'm not sure I'd go back though, the menu isn't very large but overall a very nice experience. read more

3/4 review only because of customer service. The space itself is beautiful, and creates and amazing relaxing ambience. The place is amazing, and looks tropical but the food is extremely gross. Nothing tasted good, the reason why it's only One star is because THAT ONE STAR is only for the hummus and pita, but that's all. read more

I wasn't a fan of the food at all and I usually don't do reviews. The restaurant is nice though.

Went last weekend with my mom and a few friends and this place was outstanding. The food was absolutely incredible as were the drinks, but the star of the show was our waitress, Kristin. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, gave the best suggestions to what she thought we would or would not like, and brought multiple wine tastings. When we had questions, she answered them without question and really knew her stuff. We even made multiple reservations requesting her as our server because I don't think we could get better than her. She deserves a raise, and the world. 10/10 would definitely recommend! read more

Good food. Overpriced though. The atmosphere was very unique! Would recommend for a bachelorette or special occasion for fun vibes.

Paradiso, you have hit the spot. I have enjoyed both occasions here. Both times I had no reservation, was sat quickly and had great service. Once was for dinner. We got a pizza, artichokes, and a small pasta and were beyond full and happy. Also, those three plates were $30ish dollars. 30 dollars for two people, I'd say that is a cheap date. Pizza is 12 dollars. I can spend more on a build your own pizza at Blaze than that. Nothing on the food menu is over $20 dollars... pretty...pretty...good. *Larry David voice* The second time we sat at the bar for brunch. *see pics*. Everything was yummy. Only "downside" I can remember was that my croque madam needed a steak knife to cut... but hey, I would rather have it toasted than be overly soft. Nonetheless, It was delicious. The bar had a nice view of the space and the bartender was friendly and attentive. I will be back. read more

I recommend this place! It's absolutely adorable interior and exterior! There is an amazing patio/courtyard and the ambiance is amazing! I've been here before for drinks, but I came yesterday evening for dinner and loved the service. I was with my family a group of 8 for my mothers bday and were actually planning on going to Coco's Fire and Ice which was unexpectedly closed. So we decided to go to Paradiso which was busy and pretty booked. The manager was extremely accommodating and was able to get us a table on such last minute notice and was able to help make my moms birthday great! I'm only giving 4 stars based on the food. I ordered the spaghetti pasta which others love, it just wasn't my personal favorite. The drinks however were great and I enjoyed the pizza as well. Also they have the most beautiful Christmas decorations up right now! read more
