My husband and I went here for our first getaway trip together. We were both nervous about coming here based on the reviews here, TripAdvisor, etc... all I can say that it is whatever you make it to be. There were some things I'd like, and there were some things that I would do so much differently if we were to come back again. We stayed at the Garden of Eden. Pros: -Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Donna from the front desk was awesome. Their bartenders were awesome! I loved the cocktail drinks they made! -Peace and quiet, no kids, no obnoxious families... perfect! -Garden of Eden was big and spacious. -The activities were surprisingly fun. I didn't think I would enjoy paddle boating since I compete in jetski races, but it was refreshing! I don't think this place would be enjoyable during the winter because activities are limited to outdoors and it would too cold. -24 hour indoor pool. Had I known this, I wouldn't have gotten the room with the pool. There was hardly anyone at the indoor pool around midnight. -The shows... I thought they were fun. My husband and I are kinda goofy people and enjoyed them. -Horseback riding discounts- $33 per person. Very reasonable. However they do not give private or adult-only riding sessions, and we were stuck with family/kids who did nothing but make comments whenever the horses urinated throughout our trip. Like seriously... give it a rest! Con: - The majority of the hotel attendee crowd themselves. They were not friendly. Most of them are from NY/NJ and carry the stereotype "attitudes." I have several friends from NY/NJ who aren't like that, but these guys were. I literally could smell them from a mile away that my husband and I did our best to stay away from them. We witnessed a HUGE argument between two contestant groups during a movie trivia, and a boyfriend/girlfriend were actually fighting during the magic show in front of my husband and I that they left early. -Ok... so for the most part the room was clean. No mold, clean jets, no stains on sheets, bathrooms were in pristine condition, etc. However someone who had occupied the room before us had smoked in the room. I found cigarette ashes at the corner of the indoor pool. -Come on guys... you got a fridge in the hotel room, but no microwave? The only microwave I found was in the gaming room/indoor pool building. -The food. My parents who have gone here were encouraging us to get the inclusive meal and were raving about how fantastic the meals were... not even. MY HUSBAND AND I BOTH GOT SICK. It was bad enough that I had to drive to a nearby grocery store and pick up Imodium to help ease our stomachs. I wish I was making this up, but I'm not. We ate off-site and the restaurant quality is so much better than on the resort. The food quality was not that fantastic that I felt we were overcharged on this one. -Do be aware of the wildlife around. My husband and I were walking around at 1 am and came across a black rat snake near our hotel room door. A Snake found by the Garden of Eden... very fitting I suppose (I used to handle reptiles/birds of prey/snakes at a wildlife rehabilitation center for a college job, so I wasn't really bothered by it). It was gone by morning. -Garden of Eden has NO windows... privacy is great, but when morning comes, you do't realize how you both are sitting in the dark until then. And our room did NOT even have an alarm clock. It felt kind of weird, but it's not a glaring issue. -Everything is expensive here. Firewood is $7 at the gift shop, so bring your own. My husband and I got a wine bottle that normally sells for $20 at a wine store... the hotel charged $15 more for it. -Outdated technology in the room. Our BOSS speaker system hummed loudly while playing music off the iphone that we could not play music at all. The hotel really needs to fix this. Every review has the TVs covered, so I don't need to go there. Thank goodness there is WiFi since we brought our laptop to watch Netflix while sitting in the jacuzzi. -Bed was rock hard that I had back pains on my final day. My husband loves sleeping on hard surfaces and had no issues. We enjoyed it. But there are so many things we would do differently on our next visit to help limit our costs and increase our experience. read more

When we walked to the door we was greeted with a note on the door lock stating that our room per Covid guidelines was sanitize and cleaned for our protection. When asked what that meant the house keeper couldn't tell me what they was doing different then any other normal cleaning. The outside sidewalk was cracked and missing in spots, during a recent ice and snow storm the gutters was frozen over and there was water dripping from the gutters the hole weekend which made it very slick at night coming back from dinner. Once inside the room the handle to the bathroom door was ready to fall off because the screws was loose Walking in to the bathroom we noticed a little mold in the walls of the shower and some on the wall by the toilet. By the toilet there was a wall Mount space heater that appeared to be left on to long and had burn marks on the vents where the paint had chipped off and had a strong Odor when used. Walking into the main area of the room we noticed that when the remodel of the room took place they didn't remove the old countertop above the bed and just placed the new countertop on top of the old one. One of the mirror frames was broken at the top by the table lamp and we fixed that with some tapping lol ocd kicked in and couldn't take it. The pool and fire place area was nice the pool had a little dirt in the bottom of the pool and the ladder getting in the pool could of used one more step because it was a little awkward getting in with a longer step from the last step to the bottom of the pool. Our first dinner experience wasn't the best at all. Looking over the menu we decide to get the steak and some alcohol drinks unknown to us our waiter did not handle alcohol and was told a cocktail waiter would come around to take our order so we went with water and he said he would send over the cocktail waiter so then we waited. Our salad came and went and no drinks only the water we ordered with our waiter . Our meal came and we asked if we could have our alcohol drinks yet she apologized and said he will be over shortly. We ordered medium rare steaks because we like a hot pink center in our steaks and we found out that if you are not at a steak restaurant no one can cook a steak right it's always over done so we ask for medium rare so when it comes out the steak will be medium and cooked to our liking however this did not happen when our steak showed up both steaks was completely well done no pink in the middle at all and dry my wife held her breath because she knew what was coming. When the hwaitress finally came back 5 minutes later I asked for a different steak because it was over cooked and he agreed and took my plate. About 10 minutes later my new steak arrived and the waiter took off after dropping my plate off this time my butter and sour cream was gone from my plate and my steak was over cooked again worst this time then the last. 10 minutes passed and still no cocktail waiter and no condiments for my potato I finally got the attention to the waiter and told him my steak was still not right he apologize again and asked if he wanted to take that steak back as well I said no my wife will be done eating by the time it comes back I'll just eat this one now and I also said that we still don't have any drinks. We was finishing up with our meal and the cocktail waiter finally came to our table and asked if we wanted drinks from the bar. I told him not at this time we wanted them over a hr ago and now we are done with our meal. The restaurant this hole time wasn't busy at all there was maybe 5 couples in the downstairs area and 5 to 8 couples upstairs. We left the restaurant and headed back to the room where there was once water on the sidewalk has now turned to solid ice that hasn't been treated with salt. We made it to our room slamming the door shut because the jam had moved or due to the cold shrunk some and wasn't adjusted right. So this hole time we had to slam our door to get it to latch and lock Moving on to the nightclub side due to Covid we had to order a house salad which was 8 bucks with our drinks was a pain but at no fault of the hotel. However to get drinks took 15 to 20 minutes to get waited on with a crowd size of less then 40 people at a time so that was kinda disappointed. The water was a young guy that always had a black hat with a white ny emblem or something on the front of his hat he would take an order then disappear in the back for 20 min or so from the limited amount of people in the club it was easy to pick up habits of the staff and the attitude and standoffish demeanor was noticed by other couples as well. We made the best of our remaining days there and had an overall good trip. Little improvements would go a long way like redoing the sidewalks to the rooms inspect rooms for damage or mold in rooms, keeping the gutters clear of ice and debris and Friendlier staff to make your guest feel more welcome. read more

Just got back from a two night stay at Paradise Stream and we loved it! The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room and the resort were very clean. We didn't go for the all inclusive package so we didn't eat there but the frozen drinks at the tiki bar are awesome! You can even get your frozen beverage in a pineapple!!! As for the room, ours had a circular bed which was surprisingly super comfortable! The only negative was the pillows, they looked super fluffy but flattened out right away. Even using 2 still wasn't comfortable. Definitely will be bringing my own next time. Can't wait to come back with a few other couples for another weekend! read more

Here's what you need to know about paradise stream. If you are coming here with the purpose of doing a lot of sight seeing, adventuring, and not spending much time in your room - this is NOT the place you should stay. If you are mostly wanting to recharge your relationship and hang out then you should book. My husband and I have had a crazy year, and we didn't have a chance to celebrate our 10 year. Our relationship has been a bit strained lately, but we have 2 kids and can't go away for more than a few days. We don't usually spend this kind of money on a place to stay, but decided that it was alright. The room was a bit run down, but everything at this place is designed for couples. The fridge is silly and small, but it works. The ice machine is in the game room, which has pool, ping pong, air hockey, and a random selection of arcade games. The outside of the buildings is VERY unattractive, but we didn't care. There was some pretty great entertainment, and the bar is pretty nice. Room service is available. We had cheesesteak and it was pretty great. The fireplace was nice, but be prepared because you're only allowed to burn duraflame type logs. They're available for purchase. Oh, I loved the pretend starlight about the jacuzzi. I also loved having our own heated (but not boiling) in suite pool. (Diana's Oasis). There is a shuttle that you can request if you want to go out to the casino. The gift shop is pretty big, and it sells "adult novelties" if you're in to that sort of thing. The WiFi is pretty good. I think that's the important stuff. Honestly, it did our relationship a world of good, but that's because we went with that purpose in mind. I am not a picky traveler/eater. I have stayed in places with crawling spiders and in the buildings I was sure would collapse in the morning. So, I thought that I could make a great experience no matter where I would end up. Last year we stayed at Cove Haven and had a great experience. This year we have decided to try their sister resort, Paradise Stream. I paid $820 for two nights in Diana's room with food included. Rooms - sheets and towels are very clean and fresh. Everything else is dirty and stale. Could not walk in the room with our bare feet as the carpet felt very dirty. The pool in the room had so much chlorine, we could stay in that room for only 5 minutes. Food - Breakfast menu consisted of a lot of carbs (breads, waffles, muffins, bagels) and bacon and pork sausages. Dinner was a little more tolerable, but you would be better of eating outside. Entertainment - cannot say anything. We were not interested, but during a dinner heard a lot of advertising comments about the boose. Grounds - they are building a new bridge and you have to go through a service door. But everything was clean and green. Basketball court was great. Overall... Will not go back. read more

I will start with the good, the champagne tower room had a small pool inside the room and that very nice we went swimming several times. This resort is on the expensive side and i really regret my choice to say there, the whole place looks like it hasn't be undated ever. Its like going back in the 60's (old school wallpaper was falling off). Because it probably hasn't been updated in 50 yrs they have some serious maintenance issues that have clearly been ignored for a very long time, that i will briefly mention below. Mold spots on the wall in the pool area, mold can grow in as little as 24 - 48 hrs so it was clearly ignored by the cleaning crew (if they even clean) and left for us when we arrived. Someone like my dad who is sensitive to mold would have been made very sick if he ever chose to stay there. The Champagne Jacuzzi hardly works, i took a long time to fill (over an hour or so) then it was draining out when we turned it on, it was a waste of time and effort for trying and after a few hrs and attempts we gave up. There were several leaks in the room, not 2 or 3 more like 4-5. There were multiple ceiling tiles that were ruined and about to fall in because of the leaks, there were 10+ ceiling tiles that were water stained from past leaks and clearly ignored. Almost everything in the room was old/ hardly worked (steam shower didn't drain very good, refrigerator was broken, sauna took forever). Cleaning was so poor it almost made us want to leave, everything was dusty and if you move anything it looks like it was never cleaned in that spot. I'm not a clean freak but it really was nasty. Overall i wouldn't waste my time again, if you are planning on staying here then save your money and time and go book a 59.99 motel room and it will probably be more value for your money. We often come to the Poconos for weekend getaways with our children. This time my husband and I wanted to get away. This was the perfect place the rooms are very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. We stayed in a lakeside villa. We didn't want to be disturbed and the housekeeping staff took the initiative to call us to see if we needed anything it was perfect because we needed extra towels. We did not go to the on-site restaurant as I read reviews that it wasn't good. But there are plenty of local mom-and-pop places nearby to go and dine. We did not take advantage of any of the activities in the resort but we will be returning and next time we will. read more

We were nervous after reading reviews but had already purchased our living social voucher & decided to go. After reading about people getting sick from the food we didn't want to take that chance. We brought food with us and ate dinner at nearby Mt Airy Lodge which was just ok. When we checked in at Paradise Stream the front desk staff couldn't have been nicer! Our room was clean (believe me we checked everywhere)! The outside of the cottages are in bad need of repair, inside is very dated (70's) but well maintained & clean! We never left our room to partake in "resort activities" but we weren't there to make new friends, lol. I'm not sure what the room issue was, either the heating system or possibly mold?. Both of us became extremely congested and developed a bad headache! The bed was pretty uncomfortable for sleeping so we couldn't wait to check out! We considered leaving at 130am but didn't want to embark on a long drive in the dark! We left at 730am. Breakfast isn't ready till 830 am but it would have been nice if they had some grab & go stuff available like breakfast bars, bagels or fruit! We made the best of it, enjoyed each other's company and some relaxation. Would I go back, lol no! It was fun and fairly cheap (compared to the typical supposed charges) we had a living social voucher $179.00 for the night. Paradise stream then adds charges for tax & resort fee was $69.00 I would have been furious had we paid full price. I'd say it's worth about $100- $150.00 total for a night tops. Damaged Formica furniture, a few bugs, frayed carpeting, broken towel bars, Empty tissue holder daily, entry door which had to bang closed to lock, and clogged drains. The theme love palace could happen if you can just ignore these problems and adjust the dimmer switches to low setting. The room needs cleaning and full renovating. We paid a premium for what was shown in their ads of offerings. Total misrepresentation of these rooms. Do not stay or consider at any price the Diane's Oasis rooms. The property and its offerings for play and relaxing will not satisfy even a first timer. I stayed in 1975 and now 43 years later, I am sorry to say I will not be returning again. We went the weekend of 2/26/16 - 2/28. The room and the facility looks as though it has not been updated since 25 years ago (I went there in my 20s so I'm aware). While the room was clean (with the exception of what looked like black soot on the walls), the furniture and carpet was dirty and smelly and the shower floor seems to dip in when I stepped in... The facility (i.e., game room and any other activity areas) were mostly broke down and/or out of order. The food is more like cafeteria style then dinner - couldn't get a hot cup of coffee (the wait staff was pleasant). The only place that was okay was the entertainment area where shows took place. The pool in the room had a cover over it (they say to keep the water warm) so we were tasked with removing it and throwing it on the side. The heart shaped, Jacuzzi, I wouldn't have gotten in without completely disinfecting it. Mind you, we paid over $800 for the all inclusive which does NOT include lunch. I can go on and on, but we spent most of Saturday at the Outlet Mall in Tannersville and went to a great restaurant on the road coming back. Shame on you, Paradise Stream Resort for luring couples to this 70s facility. Shame on You!!! read more

Keep in mind, everyone needs some cheese in their life. This place is fun but if youre looking for a classy weekend away with your wife/hubby this may not be the place. The woman who took my reservation was AMAZING!!! She sold me on the experience before we even arrived. Now, granted I am somewhat of a snob when it comes to food and travel but I knew what Paradise Stream was about beforehand. We checked in and it was lengthy but due to a lot or information not inefficiency. The room was great (Champagne Suite)...just as expected, no complaints there. We came down to the main bar for drinks and the female bartender almost had to be pulled to the bar to give us a drink. Then the Bingo game was over and the place cleared out along with the staff. We would have stayed for more drinks but it was a ghost town. Even though dinner was included there was no way we were going to have mass produced steak in a cafeteria but again, I am a food snob. We proceeded to head to the casino and ate at their steakhouse ($250) and drank there all night. The following morning we had breakfast brought to the room and a phone call gave us advance warning of the delivery coming but it would have been nice to know that at check-in as we waited between 10-11am not having any clue when it would arrive. We ended up checking out on the TV so I dont have much info regarding checkout. The big shocker was the gratuity on the bill of $60+ We really dont have any idea who that was related to and we are very generous tippers but the lack of interaction was baffling as to who deserved or was getting the $60 especially since we tipped the food delivery woman also. We might go back but I think I would search long and hard in the immediate area first b/c we definitely will go back to the Casino many times. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESORT IF THATS WHAT YOU WANT TO CALL THIS. IT IS NOT LIKE THE PICTURES. Customer service is cut and dry, staff is rude and boring, the food is horrendous i got food poisoned, my wife and i purchased three days at the champagne tower, the room smelled old and musty, on the first day at dinner there was a dead fly on the salad, i told the server and he took my plate and did not change the salad for other people to eat from it, he told the manager on site, and she didnt even bothered coming to the table to apologize for this, we didn't eat the dinner and when we were leaving we saw her on her post and ask her if the waiter had told her about the incident and all she waid was "oh yeah I apologize for it" at that point we were annoyed and went to the front desk and all she said was ill waive the resort daily fee wich is 25$ per day but at that point it didn even matter, the entertainment was so boring and outdated, we went to the bar and Mr. Patrick did he wrong drink because he ran out of what we had requested he caught an actitud and was very unpleasant because of his mistake. I told the HOTEL MANAGER and he went spoke to Patrick in private and that was it. Are you kidding me??And plenty of other things that made our stay uncomfortable and we would not be returning, not next time not ever. THE WORST EXPERIENCE. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. This place is a dive. This is one of the dirtiest, overpriced places we have ever had to stay at. We were scheduled for a three night stay. We arrived at 9:00pm the first night, stayed that night as few other options existed and left the next morning at 7:45am. I don't even know where to begin, but the room seems appropriate. They are circa 1970 design style... wall to wall carpet. We were supposed to have a non smoking room. There were cigarette burns everywhere and the place reeked of cigarettes. The inside of the room was dirty and dark. We ate breakfast as I had already paid for it there in their dining room. Food was terrible. I cannot say anything good about this place. Quick addition to my previous post you have to try the Champagne towers once its a great spacious suite and the champagne jacuzzi glass is perfect for pictures with some careful placement of bubbles, but the jacuzzi tubs are deeper and much more powerful in the other rooms FYI Also they send you emails about specials we once nabbed a reservation in the champagne towers for 199 dollars inclusive .But as a note to management cutting out the free upgrade if available to members of the forever lovers club is a bad business move, it does not cost you anything and it encourages guest loyalty, and repeat bookings read more

We stayed in the Champagne Tower Suite and I'm sure in it's time it was really nice. The room is very dated and old feeling. For these kinds of rates and fees the rooms should be renovated. Our room was dirty upon arrival and when we mentioned it to the front desk they made a call asking someone to give our room a detailed cleaning. However when we arrived later that afternoon we found that the coffee pot which we never used was still dirty from the previous guests. We were very disappointed with the overall experience especially the room. They obviously are so focused on profit that they are overlooking the fact that they need to invest dollars to ensure they meet customer expectations. Trust me at these prices expectations were high. I could have spent half the money somewhere else and got a much nicer/cleaner room. And left much happier. read more

I read a lot of the reviews listed here before booking a stay here, and I must say I was a little bit leery based on some of the post. But since this is a place we both wanted to visit I went ahead and booked the Garden of Eden Apple Suite - All Inclusive, and was very glad I did. Check In: Was very fast and stress free, we arrived almost 2 hours before check in time and was able to go straight to our room. Room: Our room was great, the only thing I found lacking in the room was the lack of electric outlet closer to the bed. The room was clean, and didn't have any of the odor or bug problems that some complained about. And we loved the "no windows", it gave the feel that we were totally disconnected from everyone until we went outside. The private swimming pool was a little smaller than I thought it would be based on the pictures, but it proved to be just the perfect size for the two of us to enjoy a private swim. And the bed was so comfortable, I wish that I could have packed it up and brought it back home with me. Food: The breakfast buffet included with the all inclusive was awesome. I loved that they served breakfast until 11am so we didn't feel rushed to leave our little hide away in the morning. The breakfast food was really good, and plentiful. Eggs, bacon, sausage, muffins, fresh fruit and more. The dinner however didn't really wow us, that is the reason for only four stars. Out of or three night stay, two of the nights I didn't finish my meal and one of those nights I didn't eat any of it at all. The Shrimp Alfredo was just a poor excuse of a meal, stay away from that. Entertainment: Was great, we were able to really spend some quality time together playing and having fun. We rode bikes, played pool, video games, walking the scenic grounds and spent time in the bar dancing to the music of DJ Chris. I would definitely NOT recommend this resort, this place is outdated and extremely run down. It is in desperate need of a make over. Everything is decrepit, crumbling, dirty, Moldy and from 1980. This is our third time staying at these resorts and it looks the same as 22 years ago when we first stayed. No remodeling whatsoever!!Within an hour of our arrival, my husband and I were in the game room playing skee ball when all of a sudden a portion of the ceiling that was wet with mold came crumbling down. It actually hit my husband in the leg. Thankfully he didn't get hurt. A maintenance worker happen to be walking through 2 seconds later and called the front desk to tell them while he swept it up like it was a everyday occurrence. We should have known it was run down throughout the resort. That left a bad taste with us. After trying to reach manager for 35 minutes, They offered us champagne and a later check out for the ceiling issue which I would not accept they decided on taking $50 off our stay which was not enough! After that issue we went to our room & our keys did not work, spoke to girl at front desk who was rude and finally gave us new keys. Finally we enter our room, the pool area looked like it needed a cleaning around the edges, the ac is by the front door which doesn't reach the bed area and our toilet was clogged and had to call maintenance to fix it. Never again will we stay here. I will say tho the bartenders, waitresses and comedians were good but that's the only positive comment I could think of. It was our 19th anniversary and I can definitely say we will not be spending another occasion there. read more

I'm confused by the negative reviews. We stumbled upon this place after leaving the Mt. Airy Casino. We had SO MUCH FUN. Parts are a little cheesy - but the rooms were great and clean. Not super brand new - but it's the MOUNTAINS. It's supposed to be a little rustic! We met funny and nice people at the bar near the pool at night. Ended up in a 2 on 2 basketball game in the indoor 1/2 court. (in bare feet ouch) We had the Lakeside Villa and seriously would like to go back. The other guests we spoke to were lovely. (diverse - like the world - all sorts of people and couples - we liked that) Anyway - we recommend it! read more

So I just have to make a review because of how much my husband and I enjoyed ourselves. We decided on a whim the night before to do something spontaneous for our one year anniversary. First off, we booked a one night stay at Paradise Stream in the Champagne Glass suite. Our one night stay included dinner that night, and breakfast in the morning. After a 5 hour drive from Hamburg, Ny; We arrived at Paradise Stream, we went up to the front desk and the man who checked us in was extremely nice. He knew what he was doing, and he was very intuitive. He talked to us, asked us about our relationship, why we're there, cracked jokes, and was just all around a very nice friendly guy. He also made sure we didn't have any questions, and if he did to just call him at the front desk. He told us his hours for that day, and for the following day as well. We also purchased two fire logs for our room, and he gave them to us at the front desk. Then we drove to our room, and when we got in; it was beautiful. I don't know what others have been complaining about, our room was very clean. All of you writing bad reviews freaked me out and I ended up purchasing bleach, Lysol, and fabric/room spray for the room.. but didnt end up needing it! I did however just swirl it around the tub, and using the Lysol wipes on a few things as a precautions. But honestly, our room was extremely clean. So, We have no issues there. Sure, it smelt a little musty. But you have a private pool, a sauna, steam shower, and a 7 foot tall champagne glass whirlpool tub.. all in your room! It's going to be moist in there! Then as we're looking around, we heard a knock on our door and a very nice lady came by and gave us two EXTRA fire logs; no charge. She also went and gave us a bag of ice. Dinner was great, steak and lobster, a huge salad buffet, soup and dessert.. also breakfast was just as amazing! Zero complaints on the food! We go back to our room, enjoyed the champagne tub, pool, sauna, and steam shower! Around 11:30pm we ordered from Spooners cafe, and had our meal delivered to our room.. again no charge. I have no idea what others have been so upset about. We very much enjoyed ourselves, and enjoyed all of the employees. Everyone was very nice, and made sure we were having a good time! In the description, it states that it is vintage decor! It clearly says, enjoy an 80s 7 Foot tall champagne glass whirlpool tub! So right there, it's all vintage decor. I know everyone experiences can be different, but I just wanted to share ours. We will be coming back again in the near future, and more than likely for a much longer stay. read more

Rooms outdated. Needs serious work. Way overpriced. More like a high end motel. Photos online are deceiving. For a real view take a look at YouTube videos from other guests. The grounds are not too bad and can go bike riding, hiking, paddle boating , etc. Found some water bugs in the room. Tiles in bathroom and pool inside room could use cleaning. Don't think I would go back again. I would rather stay at the Holiday Inn. You would think for what they charge they could put some money back into the facility. read more

Its a good trip nothing exciting but has it ememdies. Jacuzzi in room is amazing and certain activities are fun other then that nothing special. It was fun we stayed for 1 night and the only thing that i thought was bad was the food. Im not gordon ramsey or emeril but Im no stranger towards food. I ordered the wood grilled salmon more like frozen,no grill taste or marks,and not even flavored. It was bad enough my stomach turned and ordered another dish that tasted funky. For a place we are spending roughly 200 a night the food should be up to par. If u want better food there is a mini mart down the way that makes good sandwhichs, but the food was free so i guess it is what it is. Booked the ultimate sweet seduction package. Got to the room and was missing items that were included. Called front desk, got them 3 hrs later. Next day ice bucket ( which was included in package ) was removed from the room while we were out. Let front desk know and they send another. At check out we were double charged for items in package. Got a refund but not after many questioning and them insinuating theft ( not in their part ) and no answers from their employees. Do you think ur ice bucket is that great to go through the hassle? I only wanted what I paid for and not be overcharged for things I didn't. And still no apologies even after realizing a mistake in their part for one of the charges. Sitting in Paradise stream as I write this review, I am more than a Little disspoineted about my stay there, the serive ,food and rooms are a dissapointed .The rooms are terribly moldy and smelly the services for the amount of money they charge is crap, the food is the worst, I am yet to get a good cook meal , we stayed for 5 days and I regret most of it the parts that I enjoyed is the parts that me and my boyfriend made the most of. @ breakfast coffee, tea always cold @ dinner soup was always cold when you order off their menu food are almost lost in the platea, I mean maybe it's just me but I will never come back here are recommend it to anyone, read more

This place was horrible. It doesnt even deserve 1 star. We stayed in the Garden of eden suite and the floors were stained with stuff I dont want to say. There was hair in the pool. The fridge the bathroom. There is no logs for the fireplace. There is nothing to do here. Everything closes at 11. If you get hungry after 11 your screwed. The staff was really nasty. If you need a ride somehere on the resort, the lady that drives is really nasty. You need to call for coffee in the morning as they dont give you fresh coffee in the morning. Dinner is only an hour window. Bingo was the most exciting event and it lasts 10 minutes. This place is just a hotel, not a resort. The bed was so small. I am 5'10 and my feet hung off the bottom of the bed. You have to pay to watch a movie on your tv. Even movies that been out for years. It cost me another 900 because they said it was all inclusive. Only thing free is buffet breakfast which the sausage was raw from 830am to 11am and dinner from 7pm-8pm and no alcahol included. Room service walked in while we were sleeping with the DO NOT DISTURB in the door. I hope I helped one couple from this at least from having a bad experience. So.. this place is cute. The staff is friendly, lots of fun activities. Ok so the bad, the room 304 eden sweet was nicely set up but boy oh boy does this place need renovations. Below I have attached some photos just so that you can see. I really advise not to put wall paper in the pool area, you splash and it gets wet, messed up and you have to do it all over again.. but anyways, the mold omg it was everywhere as you can see and the smell of basement. I was actually going to request another room until I saw one of the housekeeping cleaning I looked in two of the rooms they all looked and smelled the exact same. If you're one of those people who love to have their room "cleaned" not just "picked up" than that place is definitely not for you. Also they are no microwaves in the room. I know to some that may be a little problem but to call yourself a resort and not have something as simple as a microwave is kind of sad. There is one microwave in the game room tho ‍ so I guess if you want to heat up leftovers you would def have to walk all the way down to the game room hopefully it isn't rainy or snowing. The fireplace doesn't keep the place warm it's basically there for show. The gift shop is cute they have ok things to buy, but I advise if you want to buy wood go up the road to Walmart because there 8$ for a hour and 1/2 but at wal mart it's 4 bucks for 3 hours. Just a little saving tip as well as candles and bubble bath. Stop at Walmart before you come. I had an amazing time with my fiancé it was a cool place, definitely not worth the 900$ for 3 nights not to mention the resort fee 25$ nightly. Paradise Stream was a fun little get away.The Pool and the hot tub were very nice but a lot of other things were very outdated. There should of been phone chargers close to the bed or usb chargers for the room otherwise the rooms were clean. Thank you read more

After receiving my review, a corporate manager contacted me and we spoke further about my problematic stay. They have now promised to correct any issues at my suite and have offered me a new stay to hopefully get what I paid for they first time around. I appreciate the great customer service from this corporate officer. I will be writing anther review once I have stayed again, hopefully it will be a 180 from my last. read more

FIRST and Foremost i am actually being generous in my REVIEW...I Have been coming to the Poconos for years and wanted to take someone Special for a Night away at what this place considers a LOVE RESORT. I chose a "premium" room the "champagne Towers" ...for $467/ for a One night stay ...this was SHAMEFUL and embarrassing. Room was not even worth half that amount . Upon arrival I was given a room , immediately when opening the door I was greeted with a horrible stench of mildew and wet carpet. Then we proceeded to look at the small heated pool which looked filthy and needed a change of filters. As walking upstairs opening the door of the bathroom It had maintenance supplies like nails, bulbs, and extra door hinges laying in boxes on the floor . Oh , and I forgot to mention the fact the toilet was FULL of feces literally and god knows how long It been backed up. After this traumatic experience we had RAN out there went back to the main lobby and told them ..they didn't seem all that suprised n simply stated "sorry about that " and that we would be upgraded to a better "Champagne Tower Suite" ...and It must be a housekeeping error. With complete disappointment we take another key to the next room. Driving all the way from NYC , tried to give It another chance. After getting to the next room and opening the door, the same funk hit me and although this room was a TAD bit cleaner , this time the heated pool seemed to smell really bad and walking upstairs the champagne jacuzzi had scum all over the side of It . I completely understand THAT this place is supposed to have a retro feel to It and a 70s vibe I'm ASSUMING... but cleanliness should not be compromised AT ALL. For almost 500/ a night I could of been in a penthouse not this type of jazzed up smelly cabin. The whole place is eerie and cannot imagine how couples could find this remotely romantic or let alone get in the MOOD to make things happen. Completely shocked how the pictures looked nothing like what you walk into . Ended up going all the way back Home the same night , what a waste of Gas and 4hrs of my LIFE driving back and forth ! read more

I had a great time at paradise stream with my fiancé. We stayed at the Diana's Oasis room with an in room swimming pool! We were so excited for that and the jacuzzi. It was her birthday and I took her there because we never been to an in room swimming pool just for us! Everything were clean but the bathroom shower should have a door so the water doesn't go out to the bathroom floor. The door to open into our room was very hard to get in because it wouldn't open easily. I had to push the door hard for us to get inside. The TV should be replaced to a HD TV with HD channels because everyone loves to watch TV in high definition. The swimming pool was warm of course but they should have the lights to dim like the one in the bedroom for the pool. There was one light switch which I didn't understand and it said STAR LIGHT which I tried to turn it off and on, I didn't see anything go on and off. Didn't know what light was that for. Anyways, we played basketball, racquetball, mini golf, and walked around the lake as there were many activities to do there while we were there. Overall, the staff were friendly and nice and you get to keep your room key as a souvenir! read more

I couldn't figure out for the first few hours why there are soo many negative reviews about Paradise Stream but as we continued our stay it became very clear. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. The front desk staff is very unprofessional. Expect to be greeted with a smile? Forget it! When you ask for something..they turn from uninviting to flat out rude. Management takes a very long time to address any concerns..your basically given the run around and told the manager is busy. To be fair my issue was finally addressed after our entire 2nd and final night was ruined. Theres no compensation for driving 5 hours on my only vacation of the year to be treated horribly. I think the only people in the whole resort that knows anything about decent service are the ladies in the gift shop. There are a number of other things regarding the rooms I could go into detail about but I will just say if you are reading this and have seen other negative comments about the rooms they are unfortunately true. Management should definitely start paying closer attentiom to the front desk and do some maintance checks on the rooms. Oh..and the mold.... read more

We had the champagne tower suite room 420 and it was beautiful . Don't let the other dramatic reviews stop you from going . It's very nice, quiet , and the staff was super friendly ... we didn't try out the food or the bar cuz we weren't old enough to drink . They have celebrities sometimes which is cool . We were very excited when we found a deal for this resort through Groupon that promised in-room champagne & chocolates. When we got there the resort said the champagne & chocolates were an additional charge (over $100!). Plus, they charged us $40/day additional for "resort fees" on top of our reservations & taxes. The resort had a strange smell throughout- inside and outside. Wifi and cell service were very poor. All indoor areas were all much too hot- the restaurant, arcade, guest rooms, the lounge, etc, even with the AC on in the room, it was very difficult to sleep. The room had no windows and was very, very dark despite a bunch of lights. The outdoor pool and bar we were so excited for were closed despite the 90 degree weather and we were unable to use the archery range or tennis courts because there was no equipment or instructions on how to get them. The nature trail was closed with caution tape, and the horse-back riding that we were looking forward to was also an additional charge. The food was good overall, except for our first night there we were both sick, the only thing we had eaten in common was clam chowder, so we assumed it was the cause. We also were not informed until our last meal at the resort that the all-inclusive food was not limited to one order- we could have sampled everything in small portions if we'd wanted. Bummer. The staff was okay. In most cases, they were polite enough, but they weren't friendly, were often discussing their personal matters, on their phones, or had no idea how to help us. The social director and the maid were the only friendly staff members we encountered. Skip it. Find someplace more fun. read more
