Pillow that you can see the cotton broken. Very uncomfortable to sleep on.

We needed a last minute hotel for our trip to the poconos so we chose Hotel M for a quick getaway. The hotel was fine for the weekend but the prices were definitely too high for the quality of hotel. The toilet didn't work well and flushed for long periods of time. The sink was clogged and drained really slowly. They offered room service daily and the staff works hard with the limited resources they're given. One of our towels had a hole in it and the pillows were extremely cheap because several of them were lumpy. The light in the bunk bed area flickered on and off. On a positive note, having the bunk bed separate from the king bed was fantastic. The room had a good mini fridge and a microwave. The hotel offered a decent continental breakfast and the staff that catered the breakfast was extremely sweet.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Booked our room online via hotels.com. Had a great deal running for 3 nights for a holiday day weekend. The room was booked 3 weeks ahead than our actual reservation. Called the hotel, spoke to receptionist who told us that everything was okay. Dates were correct & to just show up to the hotel. Fine. Hotel does not look like the pictures! There's a picture that states that the hotel is being renovated just to cover up this abysmal of a venue. Unpaved driveways, broken windows and key slots. Check in was okay, receptionist was very hopeful. Got to our first room, RAT DROPPINGS, STAINS & HAIR covered BOTH double beds. Stains on the wall, coffee stains on the countertops, & strong moldy smells. Crack in the bathroom door and the beds had NO BOX SPRINGS! Got to our second room, clear difference with the beds. We actually had beads with attached box springs. But, again hair and stains and moldy smell overcame the room. Went back to receptionist, we asked for a room change or change of sheets or at least deductions off the bill. Was told that the the cleaning service went home for the night, no deduction can be processed because manager is not available and that the computers are down. The absolute worst experience ever BEWARE! Unsafe environment!

    Great room!

Super pleased with our date nite room! Front desk staff is amazing and make you feel very welcomed. Overall great place and will stay again next time we are in town.

    I hate this place!

I hate this place. Absolute trash! Cigarette burns all over the comforter, the hallways are disgusting, the parking lot was not plowed whatsoever and the bed was awful! Save your money and go somewhere else.

This is my second stay at hotel m and I am more disappointed than the first. My first visit here was a last minute decision to stay at the poconos for a night and the room was cheap and available last minute. As soon as we walked in the room it had an extremely overpowering stench of body odor. My boyfriend barely has a sense of smell and it even bothered him. We got fabric refresher from the dollar general across the street and used the entire bottle on the carpet and the beds and the stench still did not go away. The bathroom wasn't clean but it wasn't the worse I've seen, it was do-able for one night. We are now here for the second time for another last minute weekend trip. The front desk lady was very nice and friendly and the room didn't smell like body odor, just slightly musty but not overpowering. Though the hallway smelled like mildew and needed to be vacuumed very badly. On the side entrance the wallpaper is peeling off and is a little moldy and again needs to be vacuumed badly. In the room there were stains on the bathroom counter and toilet. There was also hair all over the bathroom. The most horrifying part was the blood splattered on the shower ceiling. Clearly the showers aren't cleaned if there is blood in it. Also there was a blood spot on one of our towels. I can understand the room being slightly dirty because it's a fairly cheap hotel, but seeing blood twice is absolutely unacceptable. Even if they don't wipe down the shower after every guest, it should be checked for stains. As nice as the staff was I'm sorry to say that I won't be staying here again.

The hall with no elevator sign that caused me to walk around so many times lol
    Zip D.

Okay so I passed by this place twice didn't know that it was a hotel it would have been nice if There was a light surrounding the sign so that when you are traveling in the dark attention is drawn to it. Step inside the ground was horrible to walk on my company elderly lady. She had a hard time walking on the grounds because every step she took it was a pothole uneven pavement or the asphalt had a hole. This is no good this is definitely a possible lawsuit so I think you guys might really concentrate on getting something done about that. As far as the room it was clean there was some black spot on the carpet on the floor but otherwise I can't complain very neat. However the lobby had a smell to it I can't really pointed out I would say it was on the scale of dirty carpet or dirty mop and that wasn't pleasant I was just praying that the smell is not also in my room. I see that they try to bring with painting the walls are yellow or goldish color which was cute and it worked. I must admit I had a hard time finding the elevator. I'm going to suggest that you place an elevator sign from the ceiling or hanging by the wall so that people do not walk around the building three and four times trying to find the elevator. The breakfast was okay I guess if you don't mind plain potatoes with no Peppers no onions no seasoning. Looks like someone just took a bag of sliced potatoes placed it into a warmer and call it hash browns LOL. Other than that boiled eggs on point kept fresh from contaminating anything around it which was good. The receptionist was friendly was not very knowledgeable about certain activities in the area that we were interested in it I think if you're going to be a receptionist you should know what's in the area possibly offer directions you don't have to give them have somebody print them out and make a whole bunch of copies and hand it to the customers as they request. The pool and fitness center were not something to be desired. Also I don't know if the videos going to show it but it was a spider spinning a web in the hallway. Now there's nothing drawing a spider in a hotel especially if it was just one I saw. So I'm not going to mine is a star because of a spider. Nature happens and we have to accept it besides they were here before us anyway I just happen to like spiders anyway so I took a picture The bed was very comfortable the area was quiet and I give this five star if it were applied to a hotel but it's denied it is a high-ranking 3 * 4 reasons I mentioned.

Booking online was easy, and check-in was simple--we just stopped by Frogtown Chophouse to pick up our keys and finished the paperwork the next morning. Our cottage was clean, in good repair, and surprisingly quiet given that the restaurant is on the property. The space is set up well for a couple or small family: a bedroom with a queen bed, a living room with a queen sleeper sofa, a small kitchenette (fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker), and even a propane fireplace that was perfect for chilly September evenings. While the fixtures and linens were a little dated, everything was tidy and comfortable, and the unit could easily sleep four. The only real downside was the low water pressure in the shower--not ideal, but not a deal-breaker either. At just over $500 for two nights, we felt it was a fair investment for the experience. The on-site restaurant, Frogtown Chophouse, is highly rated, and we enjoyed stopping in for cocktails one evening. The bartender gave us excellent local recommendations that added to our trip. All in all, Woodfield Manor offered exactly what we were looking for: a quiet, comfortable, and relaxing home base in the Poconos.

We arrived Friday afternoon (October 11 2024) and stayed for three nights. This place is a little slice of heaven tucked away in the Pocono Mountains. When we arrived to check in, Chuck was there to greet us. He is a wonderful, welcoming gentleman. He gave us literature about things to do and happily answered our questions. Our room with its queen sized bed and adjoining sitting area was clean and comfy. We appreciated the small refrigerator and microwave to store and warm up our late night snacks. One tv in each room made it easy for one of us to nap and the other to "veg" out, if we wanted to! It's true the front desk is not manned twenty four hours, but you are given a number to contact in case of an emergency. And the guests are asked to observe quiet time between 10pm and 8am. This worked for us. I didn't miss the hundred room hotel with potential all night parties next door. After a day full of fun Fall festivities...quiet, peaceful and cozy is just what we needed. We are certain to visit again, perhaps in the spring or summer season. But definitely, most definitely again with the changing of the leaves.

The food options were great and the property was easy to navigate. The property reminded me of a well maintained Vegas property. Arrival was a bit rough as the valet lanes were completely blocked by large buses. Instead of being helpful or explaining anything, the valet was rude and told us we couldn't leave our car parked in the entry/departure lane. We were simply looking for a place to allow the bellhop to offload our vehicle but no one explained where we were meant to go. Note that the valet is complimentary which is nice. Free self park is also available on the casino lot. Luckily the check in was smooth and the folks at the desk were pleasant. On room entry, we found the room to be clean and spacious. The bathroom was especially nice given its generous size and ample stock of toiletries. The beds were comfortable as well. Drawbacks in the room include lack of mini fridge and microwave. They will provide one on request, but charge $25/day. A bit steep. The room was also frigid. When we arrived, the AC was set to 63 degrees. We of course turned it up but after each housekeeper cleaned, the thermostat was set back to sub zero temps! Final drawback was that the room did have faint odors of cigarettes despite being a non smoking room. It became less noticeable the longer we were in the room but never quite dissipated. Our favorite thing about the hotel itself was the lovely golf course view from our room and the onsite hiking trail. The trail is really lovely and well kept. It runs alongside a stream and is set back from the road nestled in the loveliest trees. So beautiful this time of year with the changing foliage. I wouldn't be opposed to future stays but would likely explore some other options in the Poconos first. The onsite restaurants were letdowns in our opinion but we did enjoy some offsite eateries nearby. I would call this an above average experience. Probably best for those folk who want to enjoy the casino!

The hotel is actually smaller and easier to navigate than I had expected. It's only 3 floors, so even though elevators tend to have a wait you can use the stairs to get around which is nice. It's also a short walk from rooms to activities and restaurants. Things I loved - + The cozy lobby with a roaring fireplace and gorgeous Christmas decor + The kids nook in the room that had bunk beds and a tv + The kiddie slide area at the pool + The gift shop which had a lot of great toys, a build a bear and a candy store + That the pool area has a bar. + Fun activities outside of the pool like bowling, arcade, mini golf and the magic quest scavenger hunt + Dunkin' Donuts + A cute dance party for the kids at night in the lobby Things that were meh - + The pool area was so unkempt. Chairs are packed in on top of each other. Staff needs to do a better job of clearing out old towels, life vests and garbage from chairs. It's gross to have to walk by the same old pizza box for hours. Staff can easily do better with this. + I wish they had more activities on a Saturday morning. We saw a schedule that had morning activities on some other days, like a meet and greet with the wolf and yoga. Surprised to see nothing on a Saturday. I also wish the pool opened at 8 instead of 10! + Fireside restaurant. Mediocre food and high prices are definitely not surprising here though. Overall - something fun and different, and definitely worth checking out for a change of scenery. But if you can swing going during a quiet week I'd definitely encourage to avoid crowds.

We checked into the hotel, which was busy and crowded, but they have kiosks to make check-in faster (although annoyingly, the first wristbands we got from the kiosk didn't work, so we had to return to the front desk--you use the wristbands to unlock your room, enter the water park, make room charges, etc.). We had dinner at the buffet--totally fine, serviceable, what you'd expect at a family resort. (I've had worse food at a family resort--e.g., Legoland in upstate New York.) The room was big, but dated and not very "fancy." It was also not soundproofed well; we could hear kids running upstairs (but luckily we are good sleepers, and we got good rest). We went to the water park the next morning at 10, stayed for about two to three hours, and had a great time. It wasn't too crowded at this time, and we didn't have long waits for any of the slides--which were a nice mix of fun, slightly scary, but not TOO scary. The water in the pools was quite warm, as was the air temperature--they heat it to 84, I believe. By the time we left, it was crowded, and most chairs and loungers were taken. Tips: go early to the water park (at opening), bring snacks and drinks of your own if you want (theirs are not cheap, and consider bringing your own beach towels (the ones they provide are thin). Overall, Great Wolf Lodge is good family fun. But it's crowded and not high-end, so keep your expectations reasonable, and you will have a good time.

After driving nearly 5 hours with three small children, we arrived at Camelback excited for a fun getaway. Check-in was at 4 PM. We got there around 6 PM and were told our room was ready, only to walk into a dirty, completely unprepared room. At that point, I had to drag my kids and luggage back downstairs and start the waiting game all over again. We didn't get into a usable room until around 8 PM. That's four hours past check-in and two hours after arrival. Our entire first day was essentially wasted. And unfortunately, it only went downhill from there. The room we were finally given had no towels, missing bedding, floors that clearly hadn't been vacuumed, and dust throughout. The next day there was no housekeeping at all. We left multiple times and came back to the same trash, the same mess, and nothing touched. To make matters worse, bugs were coming out of the HVAC system, which is honestly unacceptable at any hotel, let alone a resort charging these prices. The waterpark is the only reason this isn't a zero-star review. My kids found some enjoyment, but even that area felt dirty and poorly maintained. Staff were hit or miss, with several being inattentive and some just plain rude. Yes, it was spring break, so I expected crowds. What I didn't expect was a complete lack of preparation, cleanliness, and basic hospitality. That's the difference between an average resort and one that actually cares about guest experience. For comparison, we've stayed at Kalahari Resorts, which is larger and somehow still manages to be clean, organized, and ready for guests. Camelback didn't come close. This trip was exhausting, disappointing, and a waste of money. I would not return, and I would strongly recommend families spend their money elsewhere.
