This experience was pretty much what I expected it to be during Christmas week - overcrowded. Now that we've got that out of the way, I will say that this is something fun and different to do. Especially when it's freezing outside and you need a way to keep your kids occupied. The hotel is actually smaller and easier to navigate than I had expected. It's only 3 floors, so even though elevators tend to have a wait you can use the stairs to get around which is nice. It's also a short walk from rooms to activities and restaurants. Things I loved - + The cozy lobby with a roaring fireplace and gorgeous Christmas decor + The kids nook in the room that had bunk beds and a tv + The kiddie slide area at the pool + The gift shop which had a lot of great toys, a build a bear and a candy store + That the pool area has a bar. + Fun activities outside of the pool like bowling, arcade, mini golf and the magic quest scavenger hunt + Dunkin' Donuts + A cute dance party for the kids at night in the lobby Things that were meh - + The pool area was so unkempt. Chairs are packed in on top of each other. Staff needs to do a better job of clearing out old towels, life vests and garbage from chairs. It's gross to have to walk by the same old pizza box for hours. Staff can easily do better with this. + I wish they had more activities on a Saturday morning. We saw a schedule that had morning activities on some other days, like a meet and greet with the wolf and yoga. Surprised to see nothing on a Saturday. I also wish the pool opened at 8 instead of 10! + Fireside restaurant. Mediocre food and high prices are definitely not surprising here though. Overall - something fun and different, and definitely worth checking out for a change of scenery. But if you can swing going during a quiet week I'd definitely encourage to avoid crowds. read more

My 8-year-old son and I came on December 23 and stayed for one night. It's only 90 minutes from where we live in NJ, which was nice. We checked into the hotel, which was busy and crowded, but they have kiosks to make check-in faster (although annoyingly, the first wristbands we got from the kiosk didn't work, so we had to return to the front desk--you use the wristbands to unlock your room, enter the water park, make room charges, etc.). We had dinner at the buffet--totally fine, serviceable, what you'd expect at a family resort. (I've had worse food at a family resort--e.g., Legoland in upstate New York.) The room was big, but dated and not very "fancy." It was also not soundproofed well; we could hear kids running upstairs (but luckily we are good sleepers, and we got good rest). We went to the water park the next morning at 10, stayed for about two to three hours, and had a great time. It wasn't too crowded at this time, and we didn't have long waits for any of the slides--which were a nice mix of fun, slightly scary, but not TOO scary. The water in the pools was quite warm, as was the air temperature--they heat it to 84, I believe. By the time we left, it was crowded, and most chairs and loungers were taken. Tips: go early to the water park (at opening), bring snacks and drinks of your own if you want (theirs are not cheap, and consider bringing your own beach towels (the ones they provide are thin). Overall, Great Wolf Lodge is good family fun. But it's crowded and not high-end, so keep your expectations reasonable, and you will have a good time. read more

There were some positives: the water park is fun, the rooms are big, it's easy to get to, and every staff member we interacted with was helpful and super kind. There are some really good local restaurants a short drive away. The amount of up charging is somewhat predatory and puts a damper on the trip. We stayed 2 nights and really only 1 day and spent well over $1000. We mostly stuck to the basics (we had one dinner at the buffet, a minimagiquest, and about an hour of arcade time). The free events were disappointing. There were a few we were excited about (like yoga) only to find they were completely off the schedule even though they were part of the promotional and marketing materials. The free crafting events were a joke. The first was just a bin of old crayons put on the floor of the lobby with photocopied coloring sheets. The second was 30 minutes where every child was given 3 pipe cleaners and told to get creative. Everything is crowded and chaotic. It was hard to find a spot to sit in the water park. Getting food was frustrating, expensive, and disorganized. It's clear they only cater to the cabana crowd. I found more than one used bandaid in the water. The lifeguards are pretty great, though! The food is mediocre and is so absurdly overpriced. The Dunkin is such a poorly run disaster that it took us 45 minutes to get our food. I feel like I was misled about the room rate. I booked with a 30% off code and apparently only got that rate the first night. That was extremely unclear at booking. The parking expense wasn't mentioned anywhere. Looking at the bill was a gut punch after a weekend that was pretty miserable. It costs a lot to be miserable at Great Wolf Lodge. read more

This place is so nice. I went here gor a mini 2 day vacation with my husband. It was easy to check in and we got our wristbands which let us use the waterpark for 2 days and a nice room overnight. Total for the room and waterpark was $150 and another $150 for 4 meals and parking. The room we got was very nice with a hottub and a fireplace and a balcony. It was really nice to stay in and definitely worth using the tub. The waterpark was crazy busy considering we went mid march on a Wednesday-Thursday but it was still fun. Inside the park they have a few places to buy food and drinks. Inside the hotel there was an ice cream place a conviniece store a dunkin. As well as mini golf, mini bowling and gem stone searching. They had a gift shop, a restaurant and a buffet restaurant. We have paid for the buffet restyfor dinner and breakfast for 2 and it was definitely worth it. This place has lots of things to do. Yea you have to pay for more add ons but it was nice to have everything in one place. We will definitely make our way back here read more

I've heard rave reviews about Great Wolf Lodge, so I was a bit disappointed. It may have just been the location we chose that made me feel this way though. Pros: -We got a deal so we only paid a little over $200 for the night, including water park passes for both days. -You can use the water park as soon as it opens the day you check in and can stay until the park closes the day you check out. -We got a pizza from the lodge and it was actually quite good. The reusable wolf cup is $5 cheaper if you add it on with the purchase of a pizza and you can refill it as many times as you want. -My 5 year old had a really good time! -All of the staff we interacted with were very nice. Cons: -It was dirty...mold in the pools, pieces of paper towel (at least that is what I hope it was) in the pools, wet tissues everywhere...just grimey -Our room had a balcony, but it obviously wasn't cleaned from the people before us as their were chips and other unidentifiable stains on it. -There we're bugs in some of the bathrooms, possibly baby roaches? I would give Great Wolf Lodge another try, but probably not this one. read more

Not a bad experience at Great Wolf. The other water parks in the area are much bigger so I was worried it would not be as fun. Not the case at all. The size actually made it easier to find the couples and kids we were with in the trip. Good service at the bars and food stands. Hotel was kept in very good condition. Did have trouble trying to operate the tv. An instruction guide would go a long way to save customers time. The pool outdoors was relaxing and fun. Adults seem to enjoy that area while the kids were busy on the slides. Overall very fun experience. Only bad comment the bathrooms need to be kept in better shape. Paper towels and TP were not really available. The moms complained a lot about that and had to alert staff. If you have kids aged 5-10 they will absolutely love the events and shows for kids in the lobby. For the pre teens and teenagers the water parks is where it's at read more

I hate the freaking water my eyes hurt and it's blurry but the rest amazing btw no room service

I was there for the very first time with my 2 boys and wondered why I waited this long to visit! My 2 boys, 5 and 9 yo had a blast! We went there for new year day and stayed one night. The room was so cute for the kids. There's a small twin and bunk bed as well. The water park is just the right size and not bad enough to lose your kids. We brought our own breakfast and dinner. There're microwaves in the common area. They were not occupied when I was there to warm up the dinner for my boys. So no complaints there. Boys love the wave pool and spent lots of time there. There are kids events at main lobby which my kids were not a fan of lol but we are there for the water park! read more

The kids had a blast! Everyone is so nice and this place is a well oiled machine that functions well even with all the chaos. The room was nicely cleaned. We stayed one night and had the convenience of a Dunkin for breakfast. The other food options here are subpar. Also, be warned that when you book one of the newer rooms, your room can be very far from the waterpark; we were given the farthest room possible and it was difficult having 2 soaking wet toddlers walking 13 minutes to our room multiple times. read more

I stayed at Great Wolf Lodge in a Woodland Villa and this was hands down one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had, especially for over $1,700 for ONE night. First off, we were told at booking that we could check in at 11 AM to enjoy the villa experience. That was completely misleading. When we arrived, we were told check-in was actually at 4 PM, and our room wasn't even ready until 4:10 PM. So what exactly was the point? The Woodland Villa Lounge is a joke. These villas can hold up to 30 people, yet there is only ONE bathroom stall. Picture multiple groups arriving at once trying to change and use the restroom. It's chaos and completely unacceptable. At around 3:50 PM, we went back to check on the room and the lounge was EMPTY. No staff, no help, there was just a sign telling us to text a concierge. I'm sorry, but if I'm paying this kind of money, I expect actual customer service, not texting someone like it's a side business. The waterpark was absolutely disgusting. I understand weekends are busy, but this was beyond overcrowded. You could barely walk without bumping into people. The bathrooms were filthy. There's clearly no capacity control, and it shows. Food service? A complete disaster. It took OVER AN HOUR just to order basic food (chicken tenders, fries, a cup, and two bottled waters for $30). Staff were overwhelmed, orders were disorganized, and no one knew what was going on. One soda machine was broken, and the "working" one sprayed lemonade all over my hand and arm. Completely unacceptable. Inside the waterpark, people hoard chairs basically taking up 10 seats to just use 2 or 3. Lines were insane for everything. Pools were overcrowded, getting food or drinks was a mission, and the entire experience was stressful instead of enjoyable. Even the smaller details were poorly handled. The villa advertised outdoor games, but there was no ping pong net and no games available. Only TWO parking passes were given for a group of 10+ people--which makes zero sense. No complimentary lockers were offered in the lounge. The "refreshments" were a mess, and snacks of Goldfish and pretzels. That's what you give villa guests paying premium prices? The "personalized gifts" were also a joke, four green wolf ears and four pairs of sandals. We were told that our other guests could get grey wolf ears, but only if they went to the gift shop themselves. Why not just give everything upfront? The ONLY positive was that the room itself looked nice because it was brand new. That's it. Everything else? Dirty, overcrowded, disorganized, and completely not worth the money. Our bathroom door locked behind us if we closed it. We had to use a card to open the door. My credit card information was stolen, I'm assuming by an employee. Thankfully my bank stopped the charges from a local casino and Dunkin Donuts... and my kids are now sick (kind of inevitable considering it's a public space) but it just adds to our terrible experience. They advertise a QR code to "stay another night!" so I made another reservation and paid for the night only to find out the code takes you to their web page to make a new reservation so we had to move rooms, it was confusing. read more

We arrived and unloaded all of our luggage at the front entrance to find out there was no storage... no big deal... packed it up and drove for 30 minutes to find a parking spot. Then we went to the water park... place was so overpopulated it can not meet standards! We watched feces fall out of a girls swimsuit onto one of the pathways... I put a chair over it as the family just left it. I went to the attendant at the front that checked wristbands because there was no one else to be found and told her, she said she would take care of it... nope... at this point everyone was walking in it and carrying it into the pool. Then my mother went and told the same lady again, she got angry and said it was being taken care of...nope! It was never taken care of. I contacted and reported it and they said it was looked into and it was not feces. I watched it happen and no employee ever came over and checked nor cleaned it up. This is the second GWL we have visited and it was a much better experience than the other (Sandusky,OH). This resort underwent a huge renovation and expansion in 2024, and it shows. Room: Our room was large, clean, and comfortable. Amenities/activities: The fact that our 4-5 year old magic wand still worked with the current devices / objects, was great. Just visit the shop to get them to re activate it (for free) if it's not working. 10 pin bowling was fun and perfect for small hands. Food: Food of course is overpriced and average quality. Bring food if you can. But it's ok in a pinch. Pool / waterpark: Of course, this is why families come here. This one is a great one. Lots of slides, plenty of seating if you loom around a bit. A nice progression of slides/pools/areas for all ages from toddlers, to big kids, to teens/adults. It was a bit crowded but what can you do about that. We would visit again, and definitely visit here rather than OH. read more

Quiet hours" don't exist at this place. It is currently midnight and the kids in the room directly above us sound like they're going to fall through the roof. They have been jumping off of their bed onto the floor making our entire room shake for hours. We let the front desk know and all they do is say they'll send security...that obviously hasn't worked. This exact thing happened during our last stay just a few months ago (we spent over $1,000 and were so upset about not being able to sleep at all but were willing to try again). After this stay, we will not be back. If you have small kids that need to go to sleep before 1am (noise stopped at 1am last time), I recommend going elsewhere. read more

Part 3 of 3 (final part!) The lodge/stay: We arrived by bus and didn't have to pay for parking or all the very many misc fees. We had early check in and the process was smooth. Room was cozy and nice/clean. But on our second night there, chicken little said it best- the sky is falling! Part of the ceiling fell in the kids bedroom area, as we came back from the waterpark and wanted to shower and have a good night in. It was very visible that our upstairs neighbors, were leaking water into our ceiling! Man I don't know what went on upstairs but you could see the water damage in the ceiling that wasn't there before. The ceiling had a darker shade that wasn't there before and the sky fell. Now luckily for us, we were nearby that area but not directly under it. We called the front desk who sent 2 guys to our room an hour later (she said we were second in line to have it checked out). An hour felt like eternity because we were all like, what now? We can't stay here or sleep here anymore! When the guys came, they looked extremely upset, shook their heads and said it was not good at all. They left, and about 10 minutes later, we got a call saying that we would be moved to another room. For our troubles, we were upgraded to a large suite with 2 bedrooms(a master with a king bed and private bathroom, and a large bedroom with 2 queen beds and plenty of walking space so much so we played manhunt/hide and seek in the dark here at night!), 2 bathrooms, 3 large TVs, a large living room/kitchenette, and on the renovated addition to the lodge. It was clear this was on a whole different level and much more renovated than the original rooms from when the lodge was first built. Also much quieter! Even the wristbands for them were different and much nicer looking and of better quality. What a difference! The stay went a lot smoother after that, and throughout the entire stay from day 1 to 4, all the housekeepers were extremely nice and brought plenty of extra towels and things we asked for in a very timely matter. As pretty private people, we had the do not disturb sign at our door and never asked for our rooms to be cleaned during our 4 day stay. We're great at cleaning after ourselves. What we were pleasantly surprised about was how much they respected that sign even though we had requested items- they put a large garbage bag hanging on the doorknob with all the items we requested. In hindsight, we probably should have taken the sign off if we requested things but they were very respectful about it and we loved that. All in all, a great July 4th weekend was spent here! Very family friendly, or even a girls trip to get away temporarily (which is what we did!). We were able to see the pool area and the ropes course from our balcony in the original room we had as well. The fireworks were 9:30pm at the pool area and we loved the fact that we could see it super clearly from our balcony instead of being in the enormous crowd at the pool deck. I would come back again, but maybe just 1-2 days instead in the future. And... maybe pick a better room even though it's more expensive. Treat yourself because you deserve it! read more

We took the kids here for their birthday. VERY VERY expensive. When we first arrived the front desk lady kept asking me for the card i used. I kept telling her I used apple pay because that was their option on the website. She sat and argued with me for about 30 minutes and I ended up having a panic attack and crying. The manager finally came out and apologized and said i was totally right, there is no card for apple pay. Anyway, We bought a room to stay in with the fire place and the jacuzzi tub. Well... The jacuzzi tub didn't work & the fire place kept flickering on and off. I had to call maintenance to fix it! Which took about 1-2 hours. When i spoke to the management she said she could refund me 20 or 25% i said that would be appreciative. But i spent over $600 and only got back $65.00. Honestly this place is a rip off and should only be used for the water park. Just buy a day pass. read more

This is a review for adults without kids who were invited by their families with kids wondering whether they should join. I could find surprisingly little info on how one would fare here without kids and the answer is unequivocally "very poorly", haha. A lot of the negative reviews on here are also passionately angry, borderline unhinged, but there truly is a lot to dislike about this place nevertheless-some of it is the resorts fault, and some of it is the nature of what's on offer here. First the good: staff in and around the check-in area were all very friendly. Using a QR code to self check-in and getting a text 2 seconds later with room details was a breeze. If you bought packages though you have to go to an actual rep on a separate line. Fortunately our room was ready at 1:30. The rest of the families I was with had to wait a couple hours so we all just crammed into our room. The room itself (Family Balcony Suite) was quite nice. Clean. Good size too. Disappointing view of just a massive parking lot though. Grand Lobby is nice. The 9 hole mini golf course is decent and not too terribly priced. The WiFi works well enough, though there were a few times it severely slowed down for a few mins. Truthfully this is about where the good ends however. I see reviews from 5 months ago indicating $15/night for parking, then $20, $23... it is now $25 per night or $35 per night for valet. I live in a city and paying for parking makes sense there, desirable even, but in the Poconos mountains? $25/$35 is ridiculous, just build it into the price. The vibe in the entire resort is that of pure chaos. This is not a place to go to relax. Peace will not be found in a single public area. It is also unpleasant being around a bunch of visibly stressed parents. It took about 2 hours to regret agreeing to coming here. Towards the end of our first night one of the two abyssmally slow main elevators broke down, and as of the next morning, both were inoperable. Though both were fixed by the afternoon. I'd already decided to walk from floor 1 to 4 every time but even that is a chore between dodging kids, walking around large clusters of people during shows, and having to find what are nearly hidden staircases as the main areas staircase don't even go to the 4th floor all while dodging even more kids because they put some sort of interactive wand game right at the hallway entryways. It's seriously like they consulted children on how to design this place. Prices are high, but not too unreasonable in my opinion. There are establishments nearby and their prices reflect that. I've stayed in more remote parts of the poconos where prices were much higher. A good amount of people definitely brought their own food though as they should because if you were to create an exhibit about the tragedy of the modern American diet this could be exhibit A or B. There is a serious lack of even moderately healthy food options. A lot of fried and highly processed foods. At least they had a veggie burger though and I liked being able to order on the app. It was generally pretty timely. It's also nice that there is a full Dunkin' with normal pricing. A $3 egg and cheese is great for a resort. Alcoholic drink prices are in the ballpark of city prices. Didn't see much drinking going on though. I will say the bar at Fireside looked pleasant enough at least. The water park itself is a little depressing after dark. The severe fluorescent white old school office lighting is not a great vibe and there really isn't much theming inside. There are much nicer water parks out there, including nearby. I also love a good lazy river but this one is poorly (and barely) designed and overcrowded. Lots of afterthought energy in terms of its function as an actual lazy river rather than a depository for numerous slides, and again, chaotic. It's also disappointing how few outdoor areas there are. If I'm coming to the mountains I want to experience or feel like I'm in them at least a little bit. $125 for a whole day cabana rental is not so bad for a large group, however. The slides were also fun. Wait times at capacity are around 25 mins though. Last huge annoyance was receiving my bill after checkout and realizing I'd been charged for parking despite carpooling with another group. On the more minor annoyances side, sleeping with a wristband is uncomfortable. They should use some sort of removable rubber band for payment and room access, or even a wearable token like Princess Cruises does. Just sayin'. At least there's room service every day! That's a cost cutting measure I'm genuinely surprised they've not implemented. I'm sure this was all made a bit worse by the resort being at 100% capacity, but all in all would I come here again without having a kid of my own under any circumstance? No. Would I come back even if I had a kid? Also no. You can raise kids to be perfectly happy well adjusted adults without having to subject yourself to this. read more

Hidden charges everywhere! When we initially booked the rooms, we thought we were getting a good deal but then came all the charges. Here's some to start with 1) Resort fees- at $40 per day. You get wifi and coffee. The room coffee is atrocious! Who doesn't have phone data. One would think parking is included but it's not. 2) Parking- at $20 per day (plus tax) you have no choice since there is nothing else nearby. It's also so crowded you have to either park far away or circle and wait for someone to leave. 3) Water-- they turn off the water fountains at the park forcing you to buy or bring water. They also don't provide any in your room. So much for a resort fee. 4) Can't use the bowling as there is an extra fee for that. 5) there's not too many activities thru the day. 2 events are magi quest related (which is also another fee) The food is overpriced and over rated. I'd like to have pizza so we don't have to leave the water park. So we got 2 pies and it cost $20 per pie! They didn't even put cheese to the edge. You are paying for 25% crust! I also indulged in a drink. At $18 per drink you will definitely be staying thirsty my friends. Ok as for the water park it gets a 4 star review! There's so many kid friendly areas. From toddler slides to grown up slides they have it all. They have a splash pad and a wave pool. They have a hot tub for kids and one just for adults. They have a cool obstacle course for kids and a lazy river. They also have tube slides where parents can go with kids. I wish they did have a full family tube slides. You definitely need 3 days to explore it all. From what I saw there is enough life guards to man all the rides. It's also pretty clean. For a slow day it was very packed so we couldn't really find open chairs for towels and snacks. Definitely bring your own snacks and water unless you like over paying for those type of things. The rooms are large, clean and spacious and room service was fast the one time I asked for extra towels. But the walls are paper thin and you can hear all the kids running upstairs and through the halls. For the same price of an all inclusive in the Caribbean I'd rather go there unless it for a quick weekend getaway. read more

My family of 4 was looking forward to our 2 night stay. The hotel itself is small but gives you that cozy feeling. We enjoyed staying here just upsetting at all the hidden fees. -Parking is $21 a day! No way around it. -$39.99 a night resort fee -$26 in state and county fee a night So for our 2 nights we paid $175 in parking, fees and taxes- had no idea. The resort has a Magiquest theme. We bought the wands for our kids $90 for 2 wands (wild)! For dining they have the buffet $45 a person or fireside restaurant- that's it. Our first night we ate at fireside for dinner - the food was mediocre and expensive . Our second night we left the resort and ate at Barley Creek and it was delicious! So glad we did this! The waterpark is nice- we were there on a Friday night it was perfect the kids got on all the slides. Saturday however, was uncomfortably packed. No where to sit. People throw their towels on the chairs. Sunday was better - a lot of ppl had checked out and the waterpark was empty. Pack snacks- bags aren't checked and thank goodness for that because the food at the waterpark is $$ I also want to mention that I got to the Dunkin' Donuts at 8:30 on Saturday morning and didn't get my coffee and food until 10:05 am!!!! Horrific! Every staff member here looked miserable- from the women who checked us in to the women doing the crafts with the kids. I don't recommend doing the food packages- pack snacks. Health hazard: We just spent the day at Great Wolf and I'm horrified at the state of things. The water park is a serious health hazard. There is mold and mildew in every corner and crevice of the park. The lockers clearly haven't so much as been wiped down in years and are absolutely COVERED in white fuzzy mold, as shown in the photos attached. Especially the block of lockers to the left of the self-service rental kiosk. The drinking fountain spouts to the right of the food counter ('Buckets & Burgers') are completely covered in green mold. It's putrid. In addition, the large clear tubes that fill up with water in the dilapidated kids' water fort ('Fort Mackenzie') has a thick layer of green mold inside them on the bottom. It's all extremely unsettling. It's disturbing to know you're bathing in a cesspit of mycology all day, no matter how much chlorine is being pumped into it. Mold is one thing you don't want to mess around with when it comes to your health. Therefore, it's no exaggeration to say that place is a serious public health hazard. I woke up the day after with a sore, inflamed uvula, and white patches all over the back of my throat. Yuck! The good: The lifeguards are absolutely on point. They are clearly very well trained and take their job seriously. They're constantly doing scans and stopping unsafe behavior quickly. They do a great job at keeping everyone safe! Keep up the good work, guys! You will be nickeled and dimed for absolutely everything. It's amazing you don't get charged to use the bathroom, quite frankly. On top of paying for your stay, you will be charged $20 (plus tax) to park your car. You will also pay a Resort and/or Amenity Fee. This fee claims to include towels for the water park, however, you will be charged $15 for each towel if they're not returned. It's hard to return a towel that someone takes while you're on a waterslide and unable to supervise it 24/7. Want to keep it in a locker so you can get your towel payment back? That'll be $20. The website claims that lockers are available for a 'nominal fee'. Locker rentals are $20/day. That is not 'nominal' in 2025. There is one place to buy food inside the water park. As to be expected at any amusement park, it's expensive, which is fine. What's NOT fine is that the screen prompts you to tip before you even get your food. I spent $40 on 2 crappy meals (again, expected), and out of obligation, added an additional tip. You would think that for $45, the crummy burgers would at LEAST be correct, but they were not. Wrong # of patties, and both slathered in mayo when our one single request was "no mayo". Alas, we had already tipped when prompted, but the tip was not earned. Tipping is meant to be done after you receive good service. It's not intended to subsidize someone's salary, especially when they don't do a decent job. The place is run down and dirty as all heck. It has not been maintained, and it shows. I'm genuinely surprised that they're still in business. I visited a long time ago shortly after it opened, and it was a blast. Oh how they've let it all go down the proverbial drain. We will never be returning to this petri dish of despair. This is all to say that for the steep price you pay to bathe in mold and mildew, they could have the decency to deep clean the place once in a blue moon. I hope they one day choose to avoid an eventual inevitable public outbreak, and close the place down for a week to clean and maintain the park. A little scrubbing and paint would go a lonnng way around these parts. read more

Check in is terrible. There's only a few people at the check in desk area , like maybe 4? They set up multiple check in kiosks to replace human representatives but you can't use the kiosk if if your name does not match your reservation name... ie: I never use my middle initial for anything but it's on my ID. I heard other ppl complaining they can't use the kiosk because they booked from A third party so they must see a live representative. So the problem is you have all these empty kiosks... the line for kiosk is also empty. Everyone is stuck waiting for a human rep! It makes more sense to only have 2-3 kiosks and have 2-3 extra humans vs 5-6 kiosks. This is not efficient and definitely not well thought out. Breakfast buffet is great! Everything is delicious and the pancake station looks fun for the kids. Definitely recommend that. Staff are super helpful and spoons are hard to find. The room we stayed in was 3054. We were the first room on the right when passing the magiquest hallway. It was noisy, we kept hearing kids running and the vibration was strong. I opened the door to look out early in the morning but the running wasn't even from our floor. It sounded like it was from the floor Above. Room was clean and very spacious. The issue we had with the room was that we like to keep a light on so it's not completely dark. The great wolf lights are not like other hotels, you can turn on the light fixture that you want to leave on for the night but when you turn off the main switch everything will turn off also. You can't have one hall way or living room light on. So we just left the tv on. The Halloween events were cute but we didn't get to do most of the events they had. read more

While the hotel ambiance is beautiful and there is an extensive interactive Magic quest theme to the hotel hallways, the comfort and cleanliness of the water park are lacking. The slimy feeling of surfaces in the baby water park area and grey/ black water lines had me feeling the ick and concerned for mold. We came on a week day when it was not very busy however, there was no staff in sight for smushed food and god knows what else on floors of walkways, bathrooms, and floating around by water park shallow regions. The staff all seemed superb, but it would have been nice to see staff in the water park area cleaning the constant mess from kids. My hotel bed standard for a kids water park were not very high to begin with but, they were so soft I felt like a hot dog a bun. The variety of slides at this park and list of other activities seem better than its water park neighbor however, I will always choose comfort and cleanliness over more. read more

Took the family and went 1st class, rented a Villa, 3-bedroom, 2-bath, 2nd floor with a giant balcony about $1200 a night. Also has 2-private parking spots and a separate check in area. After a smooth 3:30PM check in, we had somewhat of a bumpy start. Our Villa wasn't ready till 6PM and the "concierge service" turned out to be a very apologetic and annoying AI system called "Willow". Turns out its 2nd floor Villas have no lifts and a daunting staircase. Plus, the Great Wolf Lodge has no baggage handlers! However, once inside the Villa was really impressive, full kitchen, kids' room had two bunk beds, balcony has a big gas fire pit and grill, outdoor couch can seat a dozen people with views of the countryside. Indoor water park is warm and hosts an amazing assortment of pools, wave pools and water slides. Our grandchildren had a wonderful time and so did their parents. read more

One of the more run down hotel rooms I've ever had the misfortune of staying in (and I've stayed in some fairly ratty motels on road trips). The little sleeper sofa off to the side had totally mismatching cushions, and the bed it unfolded into was unusable because it was so uncomfortable. I'm talking, barely cushioned metal bar in the middle of your back uncomfortable here. Not usable. The rest of the room was dingy AF. This is a room that costs many hundreds of dollars per night, mind you. The rest of the experience involved shuffling around in overcrowded areas spending a LOT of money everywhere you turn. Put $40 on an arcade card and my kid went through it in like 20 minutes. Paid $30 for a couple orders of bland, pale tacos. Paid almost $20 for a lukewarm cheeseburger and some limp fries. Paid nearly $100 for passable buffet dinner. The Dunkin Donuts downstairs is a full-on dumpster fire, as you'll read about in other reviews here. The water slides are cool, but my advice is to eat elsewhere, get a day pass, and just skip all the incredibly overpriced activities. Not worth it at all. read more

I came here after Perryville location. This lodge has all the fun in one big building . It's less walking for the parents but can be crowed with kids running around . This time I didn't order the unlimited meal. I order Dominos, they do deliver. Easy check in and check out. I like coming here during the weekdays or days before a holiday, less congested. I save a lot by using Groupon. The arcade is kind small. Same water rides like in Perryville. There's more food selection plus a steakhouse with in the complex. I liked my room, its roomy and comfy with an out door rugged feeling . My bed is made well, hard and firm, good for my back. Plenty of parking. Really cute and fun place to spend a couple nights - I think 2 nights is good. We stayed in the Villas which are a bit pricier but very worth it in my opinion because you get a full kitchen and can prep your meals, which are healthier and less expensive. The villas also have private outdoor areas with a grill, fire pit, etc. There's a grocery store just 10 minutes up the road. The villa was gorgeous and big, with everything you would need! Water park was super cute, my 8 year old loved it! It does get crowded so get on line early to claim your chairs. Cute little activities for kids including mini golf, mini bowling, but the water park is really the main attraction. They provide towels which is nice. Everything is so easy with the wristbands they give you upon arrival. Lines for water slides moved quickly. Staff was really really great - super friendly and helpful! Some downfalls were that we needed a handicap villa and didn't get one which made it a little challenging for my Father. Gift shop makes you buy candy in designated containers instead of filling a bag and charging by weight ($13 for a cup of candy was a pass for us), and story time was just a little short film, nothing interactive. But truly overall it was such a cute experience and everyone working there was so great! We plan to go back! read more

I'm not a big fan of the remodel. While waiting for my room to be available they could not hold my trolly. So I waited in the lobby for a few hours; my teenage daughter had to watch the younger one while I watched all our belongings. Our towels got mixed up and I tried to call the front desk to replenish, from like 7:30-8:30 pm and all I kept getting was a busy signal. The next morning I had to wait on line for 15-20 mins just for them to call house cleaning for me. There were toddlers all over the halls blindly running with their wands, unfortunately we collided several times. I had to be extra careful. My daughter is older now, I don't want to come here anymore. Next time catch me at Kalihari! read more

I HATE THIS PLACE.! We booked a week in advance and immediately received an e mail telling us we had to pay for parking.mind you , you have to pay parking for each day / 25$ each day / We got here and it took over a hour to check in . There was a line out the door and only 2 people at the desk . They for got to give me a room number and when I called I was put hold for 30 minutes and I had to go back in and wait all over again for a room number they forgot . They also forgot our parking pass and all the package vouchers we paid for . They also don't have microwaves in rooms . So every one who paid for breakfast and had to walk it back to the room had to line up in a HALL WAY to heat up the food they paid for on a shared microwave for the whole floor. We ordered pizza for dinner and it was lost or stolen in the time it took to get down to the front desk. They only leave you one small bag for the ice machine and there are no spare bags by the machine so I had to use a towel to bring my ice back or face walking down to the front which is extremely far from our room or back to the room for the bucket . I went to take a shower this morning and there was no soap in the bathroom and they loaded the dispensers with shampoo only, no conditioner or body wash. I'm stuck here another day and am debating on weather or not we're gona leave early. Im livid and and debating on weather or not I'm gona go down for a refund.. cause I really want to leave. . This weekend was so stressful it caused a number of fights in our family when this was supposed to be a family fun weekend... also the deposit goes by day ex; if u stay one night u pay 100$ deposit , if u stay 2 nights its 200$ deposit . So after a bill for 657$ for the room / plus 25$ a day for parking / plus a fluctuating deposit of 200$ / plus all sorts of hidden fees/ plus a breakfast package / I have to walk to a hall way microwave to heat up coffee at 7:00 am .... While all the resorts will bang you for an over priced "resort fee", that is digestible. Now you want to squeeze for parking per day?! Kalahari & Camel Back it's still free. The great wolf lodge in Poconos was a pure and utter DISASTER and a true disappointment for my daughter's 8th birthday getaway. I'm not even sure where to begin. I booked a kid cabin room a full week and 2 days in advance. The morning of my reservation I received a text stating that we were being downgraded to a den room due to maintenance issues and would receive free vouchers for activities, early and late check in to make up for the change. Which I replied with being unhappy about as I specifically got the room I chose because I needed the extra kid bed. They replied and told me I could keep my room and not to worry! Okay fine, not a good start already. Upon arrival we went into the front lobby where there is crowds of people throughout, checking in, waiting on lines, free dance party, kids running all over bubbles or frost flying around that burns your nose when they spray it. The chaos was a bad sign to begin with, the check in at 8pm wasn't too bad but the walk to the room after check in was about 10 minutes. This was after we find out we pay 25$ additional for parking a night, even though we're staying at the hotel, and not even get a valet to park the car no no I had to drop the kids and go find parking myself that took 30 minutes of searching for a space that was at least a half-quarter mile from lobby where I had to walk back alone in the dark, freezing cold. This is absurd, the frustration from parking was enough to make me want to leave, so we get our wristbands and get through the chaos to walk through to our room after our long walk to find it and shocker! the bands don't open the door. So we had to walk all the way back to the front desks to get new bands to finally get into our room. the room, cute for kids. Otherwise it had dirty floors, old furniture.oddly set up, loud noises. bathroom sink wasn't in the bathroom, no toothpaste, lotion available to use and no mirror in the bathroom. The room was apparently near a laundry room which went all the way from 5am to 12am with a horrendous humming vibrating noise that I ended up calling maintenance later on for because it was outraging and keeping us all awake. already off to a very bad start. The first morning we wake up and head to breakfast which may have been the only thing we actually all enjoyed, I mean it's hard to mess up well liked breakfast foods on a buffet. the alcoholic drinks offered at breakfast are additional, but overpriced and not strong! The line to get into breakfast was a 45-60 min wait, this is with not one single complimentary tea or coffee so you're waiting in lines, amongst crowds of people all before you've even touched tea and don't even think about heading to dunkin donuts because you'll wait there for just as long for one cup of coffee, that is if the coffee machine is working (nope it was broken) with one worker at the main floor Dunkin you get nowhere at all. To have any tea or coffee during my stay I paid well over 5$ a cup for basic tea bag and milk. The lines to any and all activities including the water park were all an hour or more wait time. Everywhere was chaotic, we couldn't even get my birthday girl a cup of hot cocoa they offered free because the line was so dang long we waited and finally told 10 mins to closing that we weren't able to get any, then told to buy some at Dunkin, everything and I mean everything is extra, it's all a money grab, this place is predatory on charging and it should be illegal!! They will rape your wallet. We stayed 2 nights and spent well over 1500.00 for the most miserable getaway we've EVER had. The water park itself is full of mold and disgusting, the lockers had white mold going over the doors and handles, the water fountains were covered in mold and the entire park was a walking health hazard. BROWN rings around all pools and rivers and just a Petri dish of bacteria it should be shut down by health inspectors honestly. It's bizarre how anyone allow their kids to be here, I got mine out after the miserable waiting everywhere in the park and put them right into the bathtub!! It cost LOADS to be miserable at GWL I wouldn't reclined this place to anyone, not even an enemy. I can't express enough how miserable it was and it takes a lot to make us miserable ! I wouldn't go back even if all expenses were paid for but we all know they charge for everything and anything they possibly can get $ for, I'm quite literally surprised that the sugar packets were free that's how predatory this place is !! read more

Dear Great Wolf Lodge Poconos Team, I visited on February 1, 2025, from 4:00 PM to closing at 8:00 PM, and I wanted to share my experience. There were a couple of issues during my visit. The locker room was extremely cold, which made changing very uncomfortable, especially in the winter. A lifeguard checked the water temperature and assured me it was fine, but half of the water park was closed due to an accident, which was disappointing. Some areas for improvement: * The guest Wi-Fi needs to be faster. * The day pass wristband station was closed, which made the check-in process inconvenient. * When booking a day pass online, we still had to check in at the hotel's front desk, waiting in line with hotel guests at 4:00 PM. A separate check-in area for day-pass visitors would make the process smoother. * Consider making day passes more affordable, offering both full-day and half-day options at better rates. There were a few things that took place that made my stay less enjoyable. First off, when we arrived, our room wasn't available. They offered us bowling or miniature golf, we accepted bowling, which was in use every time we went, so we were unable to take advantage of that. When we finally received access to the room the cleaning person left a garbage bag behind, which we threw in the garbage. We quickly learned that the sink was stopped up. The maintenance man came to repair. But that was short lived because it ended up draining slowly again and the toilet was filling with water when we flushed and about to run over. We had a total of 8 people in the room and was only provided with a total of 2 rolls of tissue per bathroom and the 2 of them was at the half way point upon arrival. The additional blanket in the room that's supposed to be used for the pullout sofa was stained with what appeared to be semen. We called guest services to advise and request another blanket, they never came to the room. We went down to obtain a blanket and complain about our experience and was offered a 2pm check out. There was a clump of hair left in the shower stuck to the shower curtain. I felt like the establishment as a whole took no pride in the establishment. We were offered the buffet as a compensation and that was probably the best experience. I would be remiss to mention that one of the water slides had a pool with a filter at the end that was covered with band aids. Who is cleaning this place. It was sad and frankly, I was embarrassed. Finally, I received my final bill to see that I was charged $79.50 for the towels that are provided in the water park. We expressly asked the clerk if we could take them to our room and was told yes. We were never informed that the towels needed to be brought back to the water park. The fee was removed after holding the telephone line for 50 minutes to speak with someone. read more
