Very cool experience in Mount Pocono while we were up hitting the slopes in January. We were greeted by the staff, reviewed waivers and had a full debriefing of the backstory of our room, how the various types of locks and key sets work and overall strategy without spoilers. We were a group of three adults and two 12 year old girls and we completed the Trapped in '88 room with just seconds left, using the maximum of three hints. It was a very welcoming and friendly place and the staff was engaged. We had a very good time and would recommend giving it a try. read more

My friend had a Disco themed Bachelorette party in the Poconos, and we decided to try out this escape room (since it was on theme for retro vibes!) The employee who gave us a breakdown of what to expect was super kind, friendly, and helpful (the majority of our group has never done an escape room, so her explanations were extremely helpful!). We booked the "Trapped in '88 Room" for 9 of us. We originally tried all working together on one piece at a time, but realized that would take too long, so we split up in groups to solve puzzles (which helped us in the end!) You're also able to call the front desk for up to three clues. My group and I made it out with about a minute and a half to spare, everyone enjoyed the experience and we want to do another one soon!! read more

Really fun rooms...we did 2 of the 3 with just two people. The 80s room has a lot of puzzles but is easier than Solitude. We came one clue away from escaping Solitude but they let us finish which was nice. Overall fun thing to do and reasonably priced. Rooms are not super elaborate but you can do them with 2 people which is nice. read more

Our group of 9 was looking for something fun that we could all participate in and we came across Big Screen Escapes! Let's just say we all had a blast. It was engaging, creative and so much fun at the same time. We did the 80s room for a girls getaway. It was so fun - esp since we grew up in the 80s. We solved 15 or 20 puzzles and made it out of the room with only 30 seconds to spare. Apparently only 60% of people actually solve the puzzle. Loved the decor, creativity and the tie in to how we grew up - everything from the goonies, video games, sports, etc. We got a discount for a future escape room but ran out of time over the weekend to go again. read more

Great escape room location. Our hostess Sarah was awesome, super friendly, gave good tips before going in. We were split into two groups and the younger ones in our group did the Nuclear Family, older ones did Trapped in 88. The rooms were very good as far as difficulty level but not too frustrating. Music in the 80s room was awesome. Sarah helped out the younger group when they needed it. We had a blast, price was good, and would definitely recommend this business! I was in Mount Pocono for a holiday family reunion trip. One of my cousins found Big Screen Escapes and wondered why not add this to the itinerary. So a bunch of the cousins and myself for a mini-family activity. No one from the older generations wanted to come with so we made this a cousin's night out. we were greeted by the host and signed waivers before we started. What initially appeared as a modest venue surprised us with its expansive escape rooms, and we dived headfirst into the 80s-themed mystery - a quest to uncover who was taking some girl out, or something. The specifics might be a blur, but the fun we had was crystal clear. First, we were given the background story to start us off. As we went deeper into the escape room, the challenge intensified. With only one clue remaining, we were on the brink of cracking the final puzzle, just two minutes away from victory. Oh well. Surprisingly, the amount of cousins in the group working together created the perfect storm of creativity. In this case, having too many chefs in the kitchen was the secret sauce for success. Or in this case almost success lol. Wish the trip came with a souvenir/trinket with the package. However, a picture of the experience was enough. If I find myself back in Mount Pocono, there's no doubt I'd return for another round. Maybe to explore a different themed room and create new memories. read more

This was a great experience. A couple people in our group were concerned about being locked in but through reassurance of owners they participated and loved it! There's not much to do in this town (mount Pocono) if the weather isn't good, so I definitely recommend passing by big screen escapes and check out their escape rooms. It's a family owned business and the owner was very nice, personable, and helpful. The activity wasn't expensive and was well worth it. I am not even sure where to begin. When you first come in, you are greeted by someone full of energy and excitement you came. Our son was excited and anxious: excited because this was his first escape room and anxious because he didn't know what to expect. Sarah took the time to make our son so relaxed and comfortable. She reassured him that he would have nothing but fun. The back story behind the rooms makes you feel like you are there (meaning the location of said rooms). We had such a fantastic time doing their Nuclear Family room that we did the Solitude room as well. The creativity in each room is amazing and so unique. Their attention to detail is on point. We can't wait to go back and try to escape their other room. This will not be the last time we go to Big Screen Escapes. 10 out of 10, I would recommend Big Screen Escapes. Not just because of the rooms, but because Sarah made it so much more fun. This is going to be one of our favorite memories. read more

My family and my brothers family love to do escape rooms. There are 9 of us total. We usually do them around the Philly area. Today we did this location. We did the 80's room. It was totally awesome! We had so much fun we decided to do the nuclear family. Both games were excellent. The 80's room was easier then toe nuclear family room. I would definitely recommend this place. read more
