Us victorious in our room!
Trent O.

Very cool experience in Mount Pocono while we were up hitting the slopes in January. We were greeted by the staff, reviewed waivers and had a full debriefing of the backstory of our room, how the various types of locks and key sets work and overall strategy without spoilers. We were a group of three adults and two 12 year old girls and we completed the Trapped in '88 room with just seconds left, using the maximum of three hints. It was a very welcoming and friendly place and the staff was engaged. We had a very good time and would recommend giving it a try.

My friend had a Disco themed Bachelorette party in the Poconos, and we decided to try out this escape room (since it was on theme for retro vibes!) The employee who gave us a breakdown of what to expect was super kind, friendly, and helpful (the majority of our group has never done an escape room, so her explanations were extremely helpful!). We booked the "Trapped in '88 Room" for 9 of us. We originally tried all working together on one piece at a time, but realized that would take too long, so we split up in groups to solve puzzles (which helped us in the end!) You're also able to call the front desk for up to three clues. My group and I made it out with about a minute and a half to spare, everyone enjoyed the experience and we want to do another one soon!!

LIGHTS CAMERA ESCAPE Big Screen Escapes offers a movie set feeling with fun puzzles, riddles, and clues. Each of its three escape rooms offers a unique experience, whether you're stuck in a 1940s retro home, having fun in the rad 80s room, or confined in a secluded cabin in the woods. Super friendly staff and of your ready for a great time, this is the place to go.

Our group after we "escaped" the nuclear bomb!

Our group of 9 was looking for something fun that we could all participate in and we came across Big Screen Escapes! Let's just say we all had a blast. It was engaging, creative and so much fun at the same time. Kudos to the owner for accommodating our group and helping us out (just a little.. lol) We'll definitely be back next time to check out the other rooms.

We crushed the game with time to spare! It was a blast, the hosts were AMAZING and I would definitely recommend it.

We were split into two groups and the younger ones in our group did the Nuclear Family, older ones did Trapped in 88.

Great overall puzzles with flow and very helpful with clues and explanations. Forgot to ask if we…read morecould use light from phones as lighting wasn't always the best and I do not care for effect as much as enjoyment. The game masters were a little bit too picky about not solving locks by trial and error even if you have, say, 3 of 4 numbers and you that last 10 numbers on the missing number. Sure you could have the wrong position for any of the other three as they said but you could also have the positions correct. I have done this at a few other escape rooms if we couldn't find the clues for all numbers and especially if there was a time crunch. We got second place for Mayan Temple for the quarter and totally unexpected.

Booking online was super easy and we arrived to get a quick safety update and information and off to our room - The Pirate's Chamber. We had a really good time and were able to escape with about 10 minutes left. The decor and puzzles were challenging enough to keep myself and 2 kids busy, but also still able to make progress. We had so much fun that we ended up booking another room - The Mayan Temple for later (after dinner). That room was a little bigger and a lot of fun. I think both rooms offered a great mix of puzzles and allowed for group and individual work. Perfect mix. As a tip be sure to count the ducks in the lobby in case you need an extra clue (not that you can't get one without a little fun)!!

According to our Escape Room veteran, losing my ER virginity to 13th Hour and now having gone twice…read morewill ruin me for any other Escape Room. Had never done an ER and had no idea what to expect. I can't believe the level of attention and detail they put into these rooms. Since our veteran had done every other room, leaving ONLY the absolutely most difficult rooms left, I was kind of astounded at the complexity and probably wound up saying "oh, that's clever" or "I'm stupid" about five hundred times. We initially did a lost hiker room, and then later the new two hour room that they had recently opened up. Both were extensive, with multiple linked rooms, including "outdoor" areas (that aren't) that were immersive, with attentive staff that both sold their roles and kept the clues coming when we were confused. The two we did had horror themes, particularly the second one, that might have scared young children, but some of the easier rooms seemed to have less frightening themes. Again, I can't stress enough the level of detail put both into the clues, the experience, the sound system, the decor, it was all pretty amazing. On our first one, since there were no parties after ours, we were allowed to continue thirty minutes past our "deadline" since we hadn't quite solved it yet. I'm looking forward to doing some of the easier rooms too!

There was some cool interaction with this room for a bit in particular. Another one, Vampires. even though also dark, was setup to light up at all the right times. Vampires is probably very highly rated for escape rooms in the country and was certainly one of my favorite experiences personally. Game master and staff have escape room running down to a science. This company has been here for 7 years and they plan to change Bikers theme soon. The entrance is a bit tricky to find as the website said to go down a set of steps on the side. While this is still true, you need to go down a different flight of stairs w a blue awning instead.

They did the reservations and everything so I can't speak to that. Upon entering one from our group checked in while two of us searched the lobby for handprints to get extra clues. We all signed our waivers and then were guided back behind the curtain to enter our room. The design was great. You really felt like you were in a bar and there was a lot of detail to the decor. We had a little trouble figuring out where to start but we were able to just ask our game master for a clue when needed. It is such a fun, hands on experience. The puzzles were fun. I enjoyed the variety and that it wasn't just figuring out combinations to locks. Unfortunately we didn't escape in time, but just a few more minutes and we would have had it. The four of us all had a great time and though. This was my first experience so I didn't have a lot to compare it to. However it was great and definitely made us fans of escape rooms. We have done one other since and definitely preferred the experience here
