It's so big, they were accommodating 3 different groups the weekend I was there. The room I stayed in had a queen size bed and 2 sets of bunk beds. I didn't get to visit other rooms to see what other layouts they had. I did hear something about a family room which accommodates families with children. For my room, the bathroom was small. They provide hotel size body wash, shampoo, and bar of soap. Definitely bring your own toiletries because what they provide was for appearances only. The bed was comfortable but I didn't sleep on their sheets. Before the retreat, everyone told me to bring a sleeping bag. The majority of my church group brought a sleeping bag and laid it on top of the bed to sleep. Which I did the same. One of the reasons for one negative star is the meal time. Breakfast was 8am to 9am, lunch was 12pm to 1pm, and dinner was 5pm to 6pm. I thought breakfast and lunch were too close together. I felt like I had to force myself to eat at lunch even though I wasn't really hungry. But if I didn't eat, I would have to wait until 5pm. Dinner at 5pm was ideal for me because that's when I eat dinner in general. However a lot of the retreat events ended 11pm. My church provides us with nighttime snacks. Definitely bring snacks with you and a gallon of water if you come here. In the cafeteria, when it's mealtime, it can get very crowded but the lines move fast since there are multiple serving stations. The food was good. They changed the menu each day. Throughout our stay, we mostly hung out at the chapel for the services. When we did small groups, we were able to find space outside or go to someone's room. The days we had free time, there were many activities here. Some people played pickleball or tennis. There was an outdoor swimming pool that was opened in the afternoon on Saturday. I didn't see anyone use the indoor swimming pool. It was a game room with air hockey and ping pong. My partner and I did the paddle boat. There was also a playground for kids. Just taking a walk around the place is a fun activity. However, the biggest downside and contribution to one less star was the goose poop. They were everywhere!! My morning walk with my partner was mostly focused on not stepping on poop. Our last night, my church had a bonfire. This place supplied the wood. Of course our guys went crazy and wanted to make the biggest fire possible. Haha. All in all, it was a nice place to have the retreat

( really too old) , bathrooms are dirty, Mold and Urine smell in all our group rooms. Doors are too old and I couldn't open easily. They all stuffings. Price is higher than other Camp sites, Foods are Good. Love the foods except everything else is falling apart. Customer service Ms. Lesley who worked at night, she answer the call but when I told her about urine smell in my room, she literally ignored me. She had attitude. I Do Not Recommend any of church groups to book on this Pinebrook organization. They need to Renovate and Fix all Campus ( Especially in Overbook and ClearBrook campus). It is almost Collapse soon building.

There is a heavy-set woman who works here, and she is consistently rude, with a foul mouth, and an unprofessional attitude. She speaks to the kids as if she's their parent -- yelling and cursing at them -- which is completely inappropriate. Tonight, she was near the snack counter, loudly yelling at one of the workers and at random children who were just skating. Even my kids asked me why she was being so rude. Honestly, I would never feel comfortable dropping my kids off here with someone like that working around young minors. It's embarrassing and completely unacceptable for an adult to act so childish and disrespectful toward children.

The staff is very accommodating and friendly but the biggest issue with this facility is they close basically at 7:30pm which is the earliest I've ever seen anywhere and it's even earlier on the weekends. Our memberships cost more than planet fitness and they manage to be open 24/7, the least the Y could do is be open until 10pm. It's insanely hard to get out of work and get there and get a work out in before they close and forget about making it to the sauna.

John was really great at making sure every member of our group felt comfortable out on the water and patiently looked after everyone since we paddled at slightly different speeds. And, bonus!, he's also a super personable guy who is fun to chat with while slowly cruising around. If you are looking to try your hand at kayaking I would highly recommend this!

My husband and I were visiting Shawnee on Delaware, and I was looking for an activity for us to…read moreenjoy that didn't involve hiking! I looked at the Shawnee Playhouse's website, and found that two shows were being offered during the dates that we'd be in Shawnee -- a children's show (no kids with us) and a headline show (The Full Monty). We decided to get tickets for the latter though we were a bit concerned about the "adult content" warnings. We purchased our tickets and selected our balcony seats on-line (for a headline show, $29/each - regular, or $26 for a senior, plus a few dollars for ticketing fees). On the day of the show, we arrived about 30 minutes before the show. The (free) parking lot was already filling up but we found a good spot. We were warmly greeted at the door, and a valet offered to take us to our seats. Some concessions were available, at reasonable prices -- water, candy, etc. We had a wonderful experience at the playhouse. Obviously, this wasn't a professional Broadway performance but we would much prefer a community play as we saw at Shawnee! As a small theater, all audience members have "good seats" and, as noted by my husband, you can actually see the expressions on the actors' faces. It truly felt like a community get-together, with old friends greeting each other at the entrance, and comparing notes about the play on the way out. The quality of the acting/singing was very good, and the show was entertaining. I look forward to returning to the Shawnee Playhouse on our next trip to the Poconos.

So here I was again, since they only have very select hours, I brought another girlfriend to paint…read moresome ceramics , we got there at exactly 12:00pm when they opened, she picked something to paint for herself to put out for the holidays, and YES I did another Christmas gift, this time for my sons girlfriend. As always Mrs,Kelly was an spectacular. Help for me and my girlfriend. This time we brought a large bottle of wine and had a nice time, but have to return to finish our project. With being open for only 4 hours just isn't enough time. I will be going with another friend on Saturday to pick another project as a gift... I won't finish todays project until I go back with my one girlfriend. I seem to like to pick ceramics that you can put a tea light candle in, so it gives it an extra effect. Here is a picture of what I was working on today, just realize not completed. And after it's fired and glazed, it comes out so much darker and shiny.
