This place is great when its not too crowded, especially with teenagers. My son has a great time, unless the play area is full of teenagers and Adults! Stay away over xmas break. We paid basically $12 for my wife, daughter, and me to go inside, but my daughter only played with the slides and other equipment. One of you can leave and come back but if you all leave you cannot come back. Not bad really if you get about two hours or more play time out of it. There is a food area that sells snack type food if you didn't bring your own. Mandatory to take shoes off but not sure why if you do not engage with the equipment. I have a degenerative condition in my right foot so next time I'm not taking my shoes off. Also, you are basically forced into the bathroom without shoes on, which I feel is extremely unsanitary. I'd leave and come back if I had to because you'll never catch me in a public bathroom with just my socks on. Staff up front was alright, kind of nice, but brisk and to the point. Inside the staff basically ignore you and don't interact with any out of line kids. Parents come to let the kids blow off steam and kind of forget to keep them following any rules, so you need to pay attention to slightly younger kids to keep them from getting hurt. Overall not bad but not all that amazing either. Staff need to be more involved and the no shoe policy is a fail if you don't use the equipment. read more

Title: Terrible Customer Service & Inaccurate Hours I am highly disappointed with the lack of professionalism and misleading information from Bee's Backyard.Before visiting on a Wednesday, I did my due diligence: I checked the official website and listened to their automated phone system. Both explicitly stated they open at 11:00 AM.When we arrived at 11:00 AM, we were turned away and told they had a private event and wouldn't open until 12:30 PM. The staff member rudely told me I "should have checked Facebook," because Facebook had the correct hours. It is completely unreasonable to expect paying customers to bypass an official website and phone line to hunt for updates on social media. If your hours are conditional on private parties, your website and automated phone system must state that.Worse than the scheduling error was the staff's attitude. The girl working was snappy, defensive, and confrontational. When I mentioned that I had called their number, she accused me of lying and claimed she had "been here all morning and the phone didn't ring." Even after I literally showed her the call log on my screen, she refused to apologize. Instead, she doubled down with, "Well, I can't help it, those are our hours."When I asked for a manager, she claimed she was a manager, before giving me the name Paul (who is apparently on vacation for a couple of weeks). If she is indeed in a management role, her complete lack of customer service skills and combative attitude is a terrible reflection of this business.All it would have taken to resolve this was a simple: "I am so sorry for the confusion and the website error, we have a private event this morning." Definitely a space intended for older children who are able to use the play yard. The toddler area is sad, filled with broken, worn out toys that don't hold any child's attention long. The place smells clean, but no employees are ever cleaning throughout the day so it's a cesspool of germs. We all caught norovirus here. It's a safe place where nobody can exit or enter unless they're buzzed in/out by employees. Overall I can see how older children could enjoy themselves for a bit here, but if you've got younger kids and/or don't want your children getting sick, I wouldn't waste my time or money here. read more

Mommy's safe haven! This place is rarely super busy and there's so much for the kids to do. They give you a bracelet with a number on it and they make sure you leave with the correct kids so you can relax that they won't be kidnapped or anything. I sit and relax at one of the many tables while the kids entertain themselves for hours. What more can a mom ask for? The snacks are cheap but the socks are not. Make sure your children and yourself are wearing socks because they are $3 a pair here. Oops. read more

Was looking for something to do with my son while visiting Scranton area and came across this place on a Google search. This is one of those indoor play gym type of venues. They also do birthday parties. The place is super clean and very spacious inside. All of the equipment seems quite new and well kept. There is a separate (safe) area just for toddlers, which is perfect for those with little ones. In addition to the play area for the "older" kids, there is a huge LEGO wall. There is ample seating for the adults and a nice, well priced concession area in the back. The staff was nice and professional and the price was perfect - $10 for kid during weekday (no time limit). My kids love this spot and so do I! It's the perfect way to get through the afternoon. I'll meet a girlfriend to chat over coffee, while our kids get their wiggles out. I know they are in a safe space- running, climbing, and being social instead of zoning out on a screen. Bee's Backyard has made that 3pm down time fun for everyone! read more

Came here with my nephews and it's an absolute disaster. There's no employees regulating any of the slides/rides, so kids are getting hurt left and right. The ice pack an employee gave us was already used or defective. The lady behind the snack bar is by herself, and struggling to keep up with the register and the food. You can't wear your shoes in here, which means everyone has no shoes on going to the bathroom, which also uses pump hand soap (holy germs). There's several employees up front doing absolutely nothing when the place is a zoo. The hot dog I got was microwaved even though there's a hot dog roller machine right there... Best part is this floor is incredibly sticky, doubt it gets cleaned very often. Not one employee has wiped down a table or sanitized a single thing while we've been here for a few hours. The chair I almost sat in was covered in old food or candy, so nasty. If you want the most amount of germs possible and your kid to get a big old egg on their head, then come here!! read more
