We stayed in Bushkill for the weekend and upon looking for fun activities to do with the family, zipling came up. We are all beginners and have never done this before. We had a party of 8 ( including teenagers, moms, and 3 young adults).. The guys who were explaining how to use the gear wear had a lot of patience with us and didn't mind explaining multiple times. After the practice course we got the hang of it and as we kept doing it we got better, by the time we finished the course we were pros. 10/10!!! It was also great that our other family members who didn't want to participate had seating and were allowed to take pictures from below.

Most of the staff here are really great. Very helpful and encouraging. I witnessed several staff members that would make excellent future teachers, as they were patient and caring with younger (and older) patrons trying to overcome the challenging tree courses. The website, however, is not good. You need at least 2 hours to do the tree courses, so don't book a time past 2:30. Also, the site is confusing, The zip racer is currently closed, and for $70 you can do BOTH the Zip quest (zip line from several platforms to another platform) and the tree courses (there are 5 or 6). The tree courses are graduated, so you start with yellow and work your way up. Every course starts from one central location. No charge if somebody in your group just wants to watch and follow the action on the ground. :-) We checked everything out the previous day before making a reservation, just to see it before making a committment.

Lots of fun yesterday. Remember to ask for gloves. They help you maneuver the course and help as an added layer of traction if you get stuck on one of the zip lines. They help pull you to safety. Overall a fun visit. I can check this off my bucket list now.

$49/adult for rope course + 1000ft zipline. Courses: After getting set up, brief instruction tutorial provided, then head up to start on the easy courses. Each courses consist of variety of obstacles to go through between each platforms. You're tied to a safety cable with a harness and a set of carabiners at all times Green/Easy: First 2 are easy courses. Each obstacles are pretty stable (still moves around but easy to balance on) but pretty thrilling if you're afraid of heights (like me) with several short zip line segments. Not that high up in the air. Pretty good variety of obstacles. For first timers like me, I'm pretty sure it would be challenging enough to be very fun. Blue/Moderate: This course is MUCH harder and located MUCH higher up on the trees compared to the easy ones. The obstacles don't have as many cables on them so it's very unstable and feels like you'd fall off very easily. It's okay to fall since you're hooked on to the safety cables, but it still makes you cling for you life! It's very very very thrilling if you're afraid of heights. You finish up by hooking yourself onto a self-retracting lifeline and then jumping off the tree. How often do you get the chance to jump off a super tall tree!? Black/Hard: The facility closed before I had the chance to try Zipline: 1000ft long. Pretty fun. They have 2 side by side so you can race your friend! The only downside I would say is that they only have porter potties for toilet use with a porter potty hand washing station. Overall, totally worth every dollar. It's very fun and it's a great workout. Great for all ages!

Family had a great time. Little ones really wanted to go on the higher courses, but they still enjoyed themselves.

Overall the kids had a blast with the various courses as they navigated their way through but I was really shocked at how expensive this place was especially for the area! You basically pay $50 for adults (12 & Up) which far exceeds admittance into far better parks like Camebeach and Dorney Park! Guest of Fernwood receive a small discount which is nice but a more appropriate admission price would be $25

Had great time. Visited on a humid Saturday in August. Extremely friendly and courteous staff, said that they have been open for a little less than a year. Entire facility was clean, and fresh. Usually am sensitive to heights but the equipment was well taken care of, of a very high quality and gave me more than enough confidence to trust it with my life at over 30' high in the trees. Don't skip the ropes course and just do zip lines. The 5 courses are challenging but all manageable for modestly athletic people. Weight limit on course was 265lbs. Would definitely return with friends.

How old do you need to be to do these?

Did most people book ahead of time? It doesn't look like anything is available online ever. I've tried to call them a couple of times, but no answer. I'd love to bring my niece here this weekend...thanks

Review only for Treetop and Zipline Adventure…read more Pretty disappointed especially since we didn't get to finish the whole adventure. There's an optional Black course at the end that we ran out of time so we ended up having to get lowered down. Our group took longer during the obstacle course intro area which was counted towards the time. The driver even came over to see what the hold up was. So we began on the actual course late. You're packed tightly into a van and driven up to the start of the Treetop Adventure. I've done another Zipline course excursion before and it included a lot of hiking whereas this one was pretty minimal. It definitely differed in safety. There seemed to only be one size harness and no one was weighed or height measured. One of the kids in the group definitely struggled to reach things. Since we were in the back we ended up helping people. Which I don't mind, I'm all for lending a hand. But on the other excursion I did there were two employees, one in the front and one in the back and I feel like that would've streamlined the process to move quicker. It was pretty inconsistent whether the instructor was in the front, back, or middle of the group. I also wish there had been some organization with the order of the group. There was another couple where the lady had done this course multiple times before and the instructor told her to go first. But the kids/teenagers wanted to be in the front of the line. They tended to be slower which slowed down the process. The kids pushed to go first and then their families followed so we ended up being stuck in the back. And the instructor didn't really enforce things. Like at the end with the optional Black course you have to get up this tricky ladder in order to be allowed on the course. You get two tries. The teen in front of us struggled and said he wanted to stop but ended up being helped up his second try, just to be immediately let down once he got up on the initial platform. Since we were running late on time my husband and I stood at the front to try to get on this last obstacle course first but the teens ended up rushing in front of us so we were again at the end. 5 of us ended up having to be let down due to time. I wasn't a huge fan of that since she actually lowered us right into a bush and I got a bunch of bug bites. Things largely depend on the group. Things just went slowly for our's and besides the ending 3 people had to be let down by the instructor (which is pretty time consuming). Another disappointing thing were the ziplines. They were pretty short and there were also some where everyone (including the instructor) stopped short and had to pull themselves to the end. At one the instructor even stayed behind to push a younger girl to help her make it further but she also stopped short. The lady who had done the courses before said she's never seen it happen this frequently. I think the lines were too slack. There's water coolers scattered around the course but no paper cups. So bring a backpack or fanny pack with a bottle. Also the lodge lost power when we got back. And we had a longer drive back so it made for an interesting bathroom visit at the end..
