Absolutely fantastic! This was my first escape room experience and Klues went above and beyond my expectations. "The Mad Scientist" was challenging fun that kept my group in high gear for a full hour. After a lot of head scratching, hard work, a bit of luck, and a ton of cool surprises, we escaped with 20 seconds to spare! The reservation was simple, the facility is clean and safe, the hostess is amazing, and the escape not only had depth, but rivaled any mystery novel (and I write mystery novels!). Such an excellent experience I highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique venture. I cannot wait to return and explore another mystery! read more

Klues Escape Room - My fellow escapees at Klues! - Escape Games Near Me - Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania

We did the moonshiners at the stroudsburg location . Honest evaluation very clever and interesting with three rooms to search for clues . However we got close to escaping but didn't quite make it out . We had fun though . I would say for teens and up. Challenging but not impossible read more

We visited the Klues Escape Room as a way to kill some time on a rainy day. This was my first escape room experience and I really enjoyed it. We did the mad scientist escape room and I was impressed by the intricate setup and difficult clues which took us 55 minutes to solve. Would definitely return in the future if I ever find myself in the area again. read more

Great way to spend a rainy afternoon with the family. They had a good selection of several rooms, with a variety of interesting themes. The room we did provided a good level of challenge and the decor and details really added to the experience. Definitely a must go for any puzzle lovers. I will say the price seemed a little steep, even for the level of quality provided. If it hadn't have been for that, I think we would have tried another room on a different day. read more

$24 a person is reasonable compared to other escape rooms. Our group of 6 did the Moonshiners escape challenge. The staff want participants to have a great time and achieve success in their escape challenge, and so they are flexible with each group. The storyline for Moonshiners escape is historical and hysterical fun! With lots of hints and teamwork, we followed the clues and achieved our goal. Next time we think we'll do the Mad Scientist room, although we understand there are two more rooms upcoming, so that leaves us more good choices. The decor in the waiting area and design of the Moonshiners escape room/s were super-duper! Wooden mind-twisting puzzles made our wait to start fun. Lockers secured personal items. Recommend participants use them, as you need all the space you can have without carrying unnecessary belongings as you try to escape. Try it out...and Good Luck! read more

We (2 adults and 3 teens) had a great time! The staff was friendly, explaining the way the escape room worked and what to do and not to do. We did 'The Moonshiners' one - good theme and just enough challenge. We didn't beat the clock, but the clues were good without giving anything away. The place is clean, with lockers for your stuff. Our session started on time.... a great value for such fun .... looking forward to going again! read more

I've done plenty of escape rooms, but this room here in Pennsylvania was GREAT!! The owners are beyond hospitable. Check in and paying was quick and starting the room was a quick as well. The game it self was great! No spoiler alert here! Other than there's a reason why it's called Klues. Bravo to this gem in the Poconos Stroudsburg area! read more

We did the Moonshine Escape Room and were able to close it out (4 person minimum). We arrived in time and they have a nice waiting area with a few games to play. Our host Mark came out almost immediately and explained the rules to us and offered us space in the locker - which is a cool offer I haven't had in other escape rooms. He created the room himself, which was cool to know. As he mentioned, the room was more mentally challenging than finding stuff like many other rooms I've been to. He was enthusiastic and helpful throughout the hour. The hints were helpful without giving away the answers. We will definitely be back to do Mad Scientist. Thank you Mark! read more

Came here w/ some friends for a belated birthday adventure. We signed up for the Mad Scientist room and were paired w/ a father and son to make 6 of us for the room. The owner was polite and check in was quick. We got the backstory and some rules and off we went. I have only done a few escape rooms but this was the most fun out of all of the, At first it felt like pandemonium w/ everyone talking all at once but once we all got into the groove, it was a ton of fun. Making sure that everyone is included in giving their two cents is key to solving the puzzle. Even though we needed some help w/ a few clues, teamwork really makes it happen. We got out of the room with about a minute and a half to spare, it was that close. After the celebratory photo, we asked a few questions about the room and the owner explained that all the contraptions are made in house. Decorations are found and props are made specifically for each room by the owner, now that's dedication. We had a lot of fun and I would for sure come back to try another room. This is great for all ages and I highly recommend KLUES. read more

We had a great time in the Mad Scientist escape room. We called in advance because we were a little unsure how it would work with COVID and whether we would be placed with other people. They let us know that it would just be our group of 4 people in the escape room. That was perfect for us! Even though, we were indoors, we felt very safe! Thank you for a fun time with the kids! read more

Great escape room! We had a lot of fun at this location and did the mad scientist themed room. Some really unique elements! Our group is experienced at escape rooms and found this challenging enough to stump us at times, but fairly linear and fast paced. High quality props and theme! read more

I am giving a detailed review, on balance my entire group had an excellent time. The good: the owner is great. Very friendly, makes you comfortable with the room. The escape room is clean and inviting. The design is focused on puzzles and not on searching for hidden things (there is a bit of that, but it isn't an exercise in endless searching). The bad: no free parking. You will be feeding a meter. This isn't a big deal, but it would be nice if there were some parking spots. If you aren't familiar with the area and don't have quarters ready to go then you may be in trouble. You won't find parking for free within two blocks and I didn't look farther. Once you have done the room there is no going back to it. The more escape rooms you do the more you will recognize the tropes. This room was focused on math puzzles, not puns or wordplay and I would have enjoyed a bit more of a mix. The ugly: you can ask for clues whenever you want. There is no limit on how many clues you can get. You may deprive yourself of some fun if you give up too early. You can also accidentally advance faster than you had anticipated by doing the right things for the wrong reasons. read more

Friendly staff and super fun rooms! We did the Moonshiner and weren't disappointed -- it's difficult but a fun level of difficult, and we'll be back next time we're in town to try another room. read more

Owners were courteous and professional. The first room we booked had some technical difficulties so they offered to let us do the other room free of charge. Both of the rooms were designed and furnished (very well) to match the story of each scenario. The puzzles fit into the story lines very well and did not feel like they were dropped into the room. Many of the puzzles involved triggered trap doors and are very dynamic, which added to the sense of accomplishment in finishing a given puzzle. Out of 4 or 5 different establishments I have gone to this one was among the best. The owner assured us that he would iron out the gremlins in the first room we did and I trust he will. Overall would definitely recommend over the one in Bartonsville. read more

We went here today with 4 adults and 3 kids(9,9,5). We did the 'Mad Scientist' room and had a ton of fun. This is our third time doing an escape room and would say it's probably our favorite. This room definitely makes you think and the props/clues are well thought out. Our group finished with about 3 minutes left to spare. I would recommend this location to locals and vacationers who are at the ski resorts in the area. read more

Moonshiner Room Review: Fantastic. Amazing setting. 110% awesome. My partner and I have done a dozen escape rooms at many different places and this is hands down the best room we have had the pleasure of completing. Game master was the perfect level of helpful when we needed clues. Each individual puzzle was challenging but fair, and gave a great sense of "ah-ha" once we solved it. I recommend anyone who enjoys escape rooms to give Klue's a go! read more

1st escape room for me, to celebrate my birthday. Mad Scientist was awesome, so much fun, got the adrenaline growing! The manager was super nice, outgoing and she made you feel welcomed. Love that they allow you to ask unlimited clues which was very helpful! Able to escape with a few minutes left! Can take a nice group shot at the end with "Klues" signs...nice keepsake. If you aren't sure whether to go....GO! Will return....best birthday ever! read more

I have done both rooms at this location and they are both well planned and thought out. I have done a number of rooms in other locations and I can honestly say these are the 2 best I have done. They are creative, unique, and don't make you search in ridiculous places for clues so you're not wasting time. It's definitely more of a mind exercise here. I can't wait for them to open up their other rooms. The owners are extremely nice and accommodating (the first time I went I had a group of high schoolers with me on a field trip). Highly recommend if you are looking for a unique experience. read more

We had a great experience at Klues. This is a family run business rather than a chain and the owner comes up with the rooms completely on his own. Our escape room felt very unique, full of interesting objects and unexpected twists and turns. Everything was perfectly planned and thought out. We did this as part of a bachelorette party weekend and I would strongly recommend it! SO FUN! read more

My family had a great time... I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Great staff... all smiles and great vibes

This place is AWESOME! My children and I voted this as the funnest activity we did on our 2-week vacation! This was the first Escape Room we have ever tried, but are definitely down for more in the future. It is easy to find the place since it is located on a main street in a busy shopping district. Important to know that you will need to pay for parking at the meter if you come here M-F, 9-6 so bring your change. The owner is incredibly personable, making you feel at home immediately and taking the time to explain the process. You sign a waiver, and then he explains the background to your room. We had the Mad Scientist room. Then you are locked in the room with one hour to figure out how to get out. I will not give any details about what happens in the room because I don't want to ruin it for anyone else. While you are there, you have to solve numerous puzzles and riddles that make you think, but are not too hard or too easy. Solving these puzzles allows you to use those answers to gain information to get closer to the solution. All 3 of us worked together to figure things out, including my 11 year-old, who was integral to figuring out some of the solutions, as well as my 15 year-old. The puzzles are very clever and unique. The whole time, the owner is watching and listening through cameras and able to provide assistance if you request a clue. Sometimes he would be encouraging to let us know we were on the right track, but never gave us the answer. We were so super-excited to escape with 2 minutes to spare! We felt so accomplished to make it out. The three of us talked about the room and how fun it was all the way back to the hotel (30 minutes) and I really felt we bonded as a family. All 3 of us worked equally, and it was sooooo much FUN! Klues Escape Room was worth every penny. We had such a great time, and will go out of our way to return if we are ever traveling within an hour or two of Stroudsburg. Highly recommend! read more

Second Time doing an Escape Room. This one was better by far. Did The Mad Scientist room. The puzzles were clever. Having clues on monitor was extremely helpful. Clues were timed very well, did not give away too much and were only given when needed. Guide was very friendly. Highly recommend. read more

Most. Fun. Ever. Very original. Loved the story behind the moonshiner. Accommodating hosts.

This is an AMAZING Escape Room!!! I was not sure what to expect, as my family and I have done a few escape rooms in major cities and I worried that a smaller town would not have the best to offer (my erroneous bias). But I was pleasantly surprised. This escape room was extremely challenging, fun, fast-paced, and made each of us sweat just a little bit. The clues were extremely clever, it was beautifully designed with unexpected things popping out and open and our host was the best - both respecting our stubbornness to not ask for a clue, but also helping when needed. The Mad Scientist room is notoriously challenging, we had 7 people and almost did not finish it. Thankfully Klues allows you to have as many clues as you would like which is great in a room that is very challenging. We were all screaming and laughing with joy and it was a thrill racing against the clock and bonding the whole time as we worked together. I would absolutely recommend this escape room to any - a rookie or veteran - you will LOVE IT!!! read more

This was the second time I have done an escape room but the first time I escaped! The staff was friendly and the room was fun and challenging. We had a great time on our weekend vacation highlighted by a trip to your business. The group of 4 adults had a great time trying to solve the intricate problems and solutions of the Mad Scientist Room. We would suggest your business to anyone who is interested in something different to do on a relaxing vacation to the Poconos. read more

I have been to several escape rooms and this one is far and away the best one I have ever done. This was sooo much fun. We had the Moonshiners escape room (5 of us participated) and it was very well executed. The clues really made you think, and there wasn't anything in the room that we didn't either need to know, or use. The room was a blast! There was no misdirection or misinformation given to us. The owners were extremely nice and very proud of there business. You can tell they take pride on each room they develop. We will definitely be coming here over and over again to try all the other escape rooms. read more

Probably the BEST escape room in the area. Not only are the rooms exceptionally crafted, they use some clever techniques I've never seen before. But by far the best thing about Klues is the AMAZING staff. You can tell the owners are so passionate about what they do and they put so much effort into making sure your experience is memorable. We are all escape room vets and both of these rooms rank at the top by far! Couldn't recommend it enough! read more

to start off it was my 30th birthday and I suffer from serious anxiety. I have an emotional support dog to assist me in tough situations. We called up and asked if it was ok to bring him along. The female I spoke with said she would speak to the owner and get back to me. They did and they allowed Opie to come! For that I give them 5 stars! Very cool little place and we had an awesome time. We escaped with seconds left on the clock! Great experience! Thanks guys read more
