There's enough to spend about an hour, but after that, I forced myself to stay. The selection of games is fair, and I could get to any game I wanted to, but I can imagine when there's a large group of people, how long you'd have to wait for a machine to open up. All arcade games vary in price from $0.25-$1.00. The space is a bit cramped as well. On a busy day, people will bump into you trying to get by if you're playing a game or are trying to get to another game. The Business opened up a few weeks ago, and I'll still support this aging form of gaming. I'm hopeful this will become an enormous success, and the owner can expand to a more extensive facility in the Stroudsburg area.

In the center are most of the arcade cabinets, with many being from the 1980's-2000's. The pinball selection are mostly older machines from the 1980's-1990's. Modern options include recent gaming consoles attached to big screen TV's that line the side of the arcade. Air hockey is located in the back and they even have a few Skee-Ball machines. Most of the arcade machines were in good working order, and I enjoyed both Rampage World Tour and Spy Hunter. Party space is also available. A second location opened at the Palmer Park Mall in Easton December 2023, but it closed in August 2024. My family and I visited the Arcade Era on a recent trip to the Poconos. Both of my young sons are obsessed with arcades, so I looked online to see if there were any arcades nearby. The Arcade Era came up in a search and we all decided to visit one afternoon. Unlike the classic arcades of the 1980s, you don't need a ton of quarters to have a good time at the Arcade Era. Instead customers pay a flat rate for unlimited playtime. You can stay for an hour or the entire day; it's up to you. This arrangement is perfect for my young sons as they are still developing their video game-paying skills and could easily go through $20 in 15 minutes if they needed quarters. They would not refund our deposit even though we cancelled so far out from our date and they could have rebooked.
