We came on a Wednesday afternoon with 2 kids. The facility was very clean, staff was friendly and all precautions were taken to ensure everyone felt safe and comfortable. While there, we watched the employees clean each station as people left. The plastic wrap on the electronics was replaced, tables and chairs were sanitized. Bathrooms were very clean as well. DO NOT GO IF YOU LOOK UNDER THE AGE OF 30!!! The bowling itself is good and is not the reason behind this review. However, the shitty staff at the bar are going to test your patience especially if you look young. I was with a group of three and the bartender IDed everyone before serving. We all ordered one beer and the lady in our group wanted to order another drink 30 minutes after drinking her beer. Please note that she was not visibly intoxicated nor was she actually intoxicated. Despite this and knowing everyone in the group was of age the bartender accused my friend of supplying an underage patron with a beverage despite everyone in our group being 21. After giving my friend so much trouble for a rum and coke she eventually gave her the drink with barely any alcohol in it at all. As a bartender I pride myself on tipping well as it's the main source of income. However, if you are going to be belligerent and unprofessional to customers willing to drink and tip well, then you should find another profession. read more

Meh. I was pretty underwhelmed by my experience here. Someone really needs to fix the address listed here, since GPS took me in circles around this intersection for a while! I asked for the bumpers to be put up on our lane, but was initially refused because "We only do that for the really little kids." We tried bowling without them for half a game, and finally got the bumpers put up once I told the guy that my son, who has special needs, was going to lose it without the bumpers (we are both genuinely terrible bowlers, but we weren't there to join a league! We just wanted to try something different). The employee took out a little hook and just lifted the bumpers up...so easy! Why couldn't he have just done that when I first asked?!? It was hard to find balls in the lighter range to use, and the insides of the finger holes were rough, making for some sore hands after just a few frames. When we went, the food counter was closed (I think it was about 4pm on a Friday). There were very few other patrons there, so it was quiet, which was nice. The little arcade was cool to see, but the games weren't very appealing. I paid $6 for shoe rental for two people, and $12 for two games. (I'm not sure how much bowling usually costs, but I thought readers might appreciate this info!) read more

This is the best bowling alley in the Lehigh Valley. My friends and I have been going every Monday night for about two years. It's such a deal with Monday and Tuesday nights being $1 game nights! We almost never have to wait for a lane and the workers are so nice. The bartender is awesome and always remembers my favorite drink. Yes, it is a small bowling alley but the staff who are there work very hard for how busy it gets some nights. They usually have a special party once a month with drink specials and karaoke, so if you're ever in the mood for some fun stop on by a enjoy the entertainment! read more

Its like most bowling alleys. You know what to expect: your shoes will be kinda smelly; you'll bowl next to annoying teenagers; somebody will roll when that thing comes down to rearrange the pins and you'll have to ask the guy at the counter to fix it. We were visiting from out of town and decided to go just because the only reviews on yelp and Google referenced a really grumpy staff person and we wanted to see just how grumpy he was. We didn't actually bowl or meet the ultimate grumpster, but did do karaoke at the bar and it was a blast! It's hosted by Jim on Saturdays. Everyone made us feel at home and just had a lot of fun on stage. There's good fried food and cheap beers and the song book has a lot of ac/dc. read more

Lady at front counter was rude. Asked if we wanted to pay for the bowling shoes and I said no, then she said well you have too. So then why ask me if you're gonna make me pay for them then. I love Blue Valley Lanes! I went there last night to have my new bowling ball drilled at their Pro Shop and Jim did a fantastic job! If you ever need a ball drilled definitely go there. The price was reasonable and they take your measurements so you can be sure the ball will be perfect for you. The people behind the counter were both very friendly and let me bowl a few games for free to make sure I was happy with the way my ball was drilled. The place is clean and the lanes are well maintained. I was also impressed by the music that was being played (no rap and top 40 pop). I had a great time and I will definitely be back again. On a side note if you want to purchase food or alcohol be sure to bring cash, since those areas do not accept credit cards and it's better to withdraw funds from your own bank to avoid fees. read more

Went there on a Saturday night with my kids at 6 pm and got turned away because of league bowling night. In the 2 minutes it took us to walk in and out they turned away about 4 other families that had the same idea as us (about 15 customers). This isn't readily advertised anywhere online in 2018. If they are this poor at planning their potential busiest night of the week, I can only imagine the other things wrong with this establishment. First of all, the address on here isn't the exact address of the location. This given address took me a mile and a half away from the actually bowling alley and I had to call to get the correct address. The best thing about this place is that its pretty cheap. Around $2 for a shoe rental and just $4 per game & I'm pretty sure they have some specials going on during the week. When I entered I felt kind of out of place. The bowling alley is pretty small, maybe 20 lanes or so? Not positive, but it's small enough to notice everyone turn around and stare at you as you enter. I was waiting by the shoe rental for a few minutes before anyone actually came to help me. It was funny because the bowling alleys phone rang, a guy who worked there came and picked it up and then proceeded to sit down with some bowlers I'm assuming who were regulars. Later a woman came and finally got me settled in. The place kind of looks like it was made it 1995 and has been the same way since. Looks very dated. Now a days bowling alleys usually have some laser lights on and some good music at the least. I came with one person which was a mistake because it got very boring really fast. I would recommend coming with a group- it would be way more fun that way. If you're coming just to pass the time at little cost- this is the place for you, but don't expect much. read more
