Great overall puzzles with flow and very helpful with clues and explanations. Forgot to ask if we could use light from phones as lighting wasn't always the best and I do not care for effect as much as enjoyment. The game masters were a little bit too picky about not solving locks by trial and error even if you have, say, 3 of 4 numbers and you that last 10 numbers on the missing number. Sure you could have the wrong position for any of the other three as they said but you could also have the positions correct. I have done this at a few other escape rooms if we couldn't find the clues for all numbers and especially if there was a time crunch. We were visiting from out of town and the kids wanted to do something fun for the evening. They love escape rooms so we chose to try out Captured LV Escape Room. Booking online was super easy and we arrived to get a quick safety update and information and off to our room - The Pirate's Chamber. We had a really good time and were able to escape with about 10 minutes left. The decor and puzzles were challenging enough to keep myself and 2 kids busy, but also still able to make progress. We had so much fun that we ended up booking another room - The Mayan Temple for later (after dinner). That room was a little bigger and a lot of fun. I think both rooms offered a great mix of puzzles and allowed for group and individual work. Perfect mix. As a tip be sure to count the ducks in the lobby in case you need an extra clue (not that you can't get one without a little fun)!! read more

My sisters and I along with my nieces, went to the escape room to celebrate a birthday. We did the casino themed one. We had a blast even the two teenagers who roll their eyes at most things had so much fun. Lol. I will definitely go back with my husband next time I'm in town and I hope that my parents will join us too for a double date. Absolutely a blast!! There are multiple rooms - haunted theatre - it's a great layout with a little bit of creepy but very organized and logical clues - I think this one is very intuitive in terms of layout and clues and is a great introduction escape room that's tricky but not impossible - Mayan temple - little more scattered and tricky when it comes to some of the clues but still lots of fun. Understandably, there are no pictures allowed inside. Everything is thought out very well. Definitely a great team activity, very friendly staff whose constantly keeping an eye and can give you clues along the way/send you messages. I think a good starter room would be the haunted as long as you're good with jump scares! Definitely want to come back and try all the rooms! They usually change one per year so be on the lookout for new rooms! read more

This is so much fun to do with friends or family! I have done the Alchemy lab and Mayan temple here, both we have escaped out of. The Alchemy Lab was tons of fun and the way to escape was fun to figure out. I do wish the room looked more like a lab since I have done a lab escape room at a different place, it definitely had less props to it (which was kinda disappointing). However, I loved the way we had to escape/ the puzzles we had to solve they were able to figure out and were fun. I do know they said they are going to retire that room, so I hope they make it look more like an Alchemy lab! The Mayan temple had tons of props and had an exciting aspect to it (I don't want to ruin the surprises). This room was definitely a lot harder to complete, we made out before the time ran out but we left a little confused. We some how managed to escape by accident since we never found one of the hints. Even the worker was shocked we made it out because it was all by luck since we guessed right (IDK how). If we didn't get lucky with one of the puzzles, we probably wouldn't have made it out of the room. Communication with your group and keeping the clue's organized is key to escape this room. I highly recommend both rooms and will try the others at some point. You can't go wrong with any room because the experience is enjoyable regardless! I would say these rooms are more for older kids not made for young children to figure out. read more

We actually went to the Allentown location of this company but I couldn't find a seperate Yelp page. We LOVED it there. This was my husband and my first time doing one and we were a bit nervous since it was just us 2 and we weren't sure if it would be too hard. It was just right. They put us in an Island theme one which was great. It was an awesome brain exercise for us both. I don't want to give anything away so I'll just say there were clever puzzles galore in the room that kept us busy. Like most escape rooms, you get an hour to complete it. I think at the time of us going there were 4 themes to choose from. Because of COVID, they don't put you in with random people. We will definitely be back...and I already booked another one in the Bethlehem location to do with friends! read more

My experience took place at the Allentown location. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room i was in was very cool. Story and clues not too hard, but not too easy either. I would definitely recommend and I would definitely return. My only gripe is it was just me and my friend (2 people). We couldn't choose which room we wanted to go in. We were forced to only do the 2 or more people room. The room I really wanted to do is for 4 or more people. That was disappointing. read more

Now THIS is a quality escape room! Everything about the facility is fantastic, and high quality. The staff is friendly and helpful, and from the second you walk in the lobby you get excited. In the lobby they have televisions displaying scores, records, and information regarding the rooms. The rooms immerse you in the "setting," (we did the Pirate's ship,) and you feel like you are trapped. There are tons of puzzles and can see on a screen in the corner how much time is left, and ask for a clue if needed. The host is a lot of fun, and sends funny comments over the screen while the game is going. After the room, there are tons of "props" to take a photo with your group. Whether you win or lose, you will have a ball. We also were all given wristbands for participating in the game which was a nice touch. This room was definitely worth the money, and when I am back in PA I will definitely be back!! read more

This was not my first room escape adventure, but it was my first time with this particular place. I previously participated in two in Philadelphia (1 failure, 1 success) and two in NYC (1 failure, 1 success) and was excited to play one in the Lehigh Valley. Management was very accommodating and helpful when I realized I had book the wrong time and was able to adjust my reservation for me. The employees were also very patient when I arrived later than I should have. Finding the place was very easy. They are located next door to the Woolworth Building in the Main Street Commons building. Go down stairs to the lower level and look for Room #8 which will also have their name and ad displays on the storefront windows. We were a group of 10 which included three 14-year-olds and an almost 8-year-old and because of our size, we chose Alchemy Lab. I had expected our youngest to be more helpful as she's done these room escapes before, but she was immediately put off by the room itself. Without giving too much away, the premise of the room is that we'd been captured by a crazy science teacher in his lab and the lab is full of human experiments. For the record, I would not recommend younger kids for this room only because it's a little bit scary. Even the three teenagers were a little spooked in the beginning upon entering the room (they won't admit it publicly though and will vehemently deny it). I didn't find the room itself too frightening, but these guys took it one step further and had speakers that piped in ambient noise, talking, sounds, enough to subconsciously make the room even scarier and make us want to escape sooner. Unlike the other escape rooms, this place does not automatically give you clues every few minutes. You are allowed only three and it is up to the players to ask for specific help so you must choose wisely. We were so caught up in the game that some of us, at the 2-minute mark, were wondering if someone dressed up as Miles Fish was really going to storm into the room when time was up. I won't tell you if he does or not, but some of us were jokingly prepared to put up a fight -- or run and hide. Before the game started, we were told that with 10 players, we had a 29% chance of escaping. Not great odds, but the more players you have, the quicker it will be to get out -- or get further in the challenge. So many of us were solving different puzzles at the same time and if you think you can do this with the minimum number of players...good luck! Yes, that was sarcasm. This was 60 minutes of pure brain teasers and puzzles and unlike other types of challenges, this is not one you can prepare for. You only need an open mind and sense of adventure. We had a group of 6 people to try the Alchemist Lab. The room was built very well and the clues were solvable however the clues were easily obtained out of order which threw off our whole group. Jess was very kind and helpful, her clues made the room more manageable. We didn't escape on time however we had an immense amount of fun and we will be returning soon. read more

I've been to many different escape rooms and this by far is the best place! They say they're working on adding another room in a couple months (they have 3 right now and I've done all three). All rooms have great puzzles that really have you working the whole time and they are really fun and challenging. Even if you don't escape you still have a great time! Visited the Mayan Temple Room this weekend with a group of neighbors in the 40-60 year range, we had a blast. The staff were very professional in both setup and post event. This was my first time going to an escape room and I absolutely loved it. Captured LV really made me want to come back and try the other two rooms that they have. They mentioned they are making a 4th room that should be hopefully done by November. My group did the pirate chambers and that was recommended 2-5 people and we had 4 in our group. Unfortunately we had to use all of our 3 clues and we didn't escape but we were extremely close! We just had to figure out one more combination and we would have escaped! Even though we didn't escape it was the funnest 1 hr we could of possibly had. This requires excellent communication and teamwork so you would want to go with people that you can communicate well with. My friends that I went with have done one other escape room before and they said this place and this particular room was way better and more challenging and that's what made it better! We will definitely be returning to try all the other rooms and I think anyone will have a great time! The staff was very informative and extremely nice as well. read more
