BEST WEDDING VENUE EVER!!! My husband and I are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Lisa and the entire staff at Memory Town USA! Lisa and her team were extremely professional and made this entire process a breeze. I could not have asked for a better wedding venue! All of our family and friends were blown away with the location of the venue, tucked away in the woods with so much natural beauty. The Orchard barn was everything we could have dreamed of for our rustic country wedding day. We opted for a ceremony in the apple orchard under the most magnificent old tree!Lisa and the staff at Memory Town were extremely friendly and made sure they were there for us every step of the way. They went above and beyond for us from start to finish. 10/10 I recommend them for your special day, you will not be disappointed!

Honestly I cannot recommend Memorytown enough!!! We had our wedding there on 10/23/21 and Lori, the venue coordinator, is the most amazing human. She helped us with EVERYTHING from A to Z, and helped us make a ceremony location switch the day of due to the rain. She made sure everything was fabulous and I cannot thank her enough. It seriously brings a tear to my eye the amount of effort she put into ensuring that our day was perfect. The event staff was fabulous. They helped escort people around the property with umbrellas to ensure everyone stayed dry. Our food tasted absolutely amazing. We had our rehearsal dinner at the Tavern which has recently undergone renovations and now looks amazing! We could not be happier with choosing Memorytown for our wedding. Trust me, you will be in the best hands!

We came to Memory Town for a wedding over President's Day weekend. We are not "woodsy" people. We collect Marriott points and cringe at the thought of "camping." We prepared ourselves for the worst and what we got, was actually some of the bests. Memory Town in the winter is very quiet. The woman who checked us in, was the same woman running the wedding, banquet crew and everything else it seemed. She was every where we were. When we got to our one bedroom cabin, there was no heat. I immediately opened my Marriott app on my phone looking for the closest location. We called Reception and she sent a man over. He was well dressed and came right in and got us a complimentary log for the the fireplace with a space heater. He told us to enjoy the rehearsal dinner and would do his best to get it fixed. We were skeptical, and wondered what we would do. During the dinner, he came to us, introduced to person who not just fixed the unit but replaced the entire heater for us and set our thermostat at a perfect 72 degrees. I was so happy. While we dined at the Tavern and had some of the BEST RIBS WE HAVE EVER HAD!! We travel a lot. We are always asked where to eat when others travel and we consider ourselves a strong foodie resource. We actually had to find the chef and compliment him on the ribs. Best kept secret!!!! Overall, everything was really nice. The staff was so sweet from the banquet servers to the bartender in the tavern who I think worked 90 hours straight. The cabins were so clean and new and fun to stay in, "roughing it, lite". Weddings there really are beautiful. Rustic, simple, elegant and simple. The food was really good. If you find yourself there, get the ribs.

The Tavern By The Lake Restaurant is the Absolute Delectable Destination!!!! We came here for a family wedding and came to the bar/restaurant and were pleasantly surprised!! Melissa our bartender was so welcoming and happy to make us feel at home. We met the chef Kita and ordered The 1lb of steamed clams -served in a TO DIE FOR Garlic White Wine Sauce w/ a toasted dipping bread was something I couldn't get enough of. We couldn't part with the garlic dipping sauce so we ordered the Grilled Cajun Shrimp Skewers. The butter sauce was still looming so we had to get an extra order or bread to go!!! Midnight snack check. Will it last until midnight?? Probably NOT!!! Can't wait to get back and devour!! Thank you Melissa and Kita-can't wait to see you tomorrow.....

From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the vibrant atmosphere that felt both family-friendly and tailored to adults. The water park was a huge hit with our two girls, offering a wide array of slides that catered to all ages. Whether it was the thrilling rides or the relaxing wave pool, there was always something to keep the whole family entertained. One standout feature of our trip was the food. In previous resort experiences, we've often found ourselves disappointed by the dining options, but Kalahari shattered those expectations! The variety and quality of meals were truly exceptional. From quick snacks and Starbucks coffee, to gourmet meals at one of their multiple restaurants, every bite was delicious. It was refreshing to find such a diverse menu that pleased my wife, the kids, and me. We also appreciated the thoughtful layout of the resort. It was easy to find comfortable places to relax, and while it did take some hunting , we did manage to find a table each day. The array of jacuzzis was another bonus, with both family-friendly and 21-and-over options. Overall, our stay at Kalahari Resort Poconos was filled with fun and memorable moments. If you're looking for a place that offers a perfect blend of excitement and comfort, this is the spot!

However, the room was quite weathered - peeling furniture, urine stench, and low pressure frigid showers. As for the waterpark, there are many things to do for little ones to adults! So many options, but yet again, the water was so cold my son's lips turned blue and couldn't stay in the play structure very long. We've been to all the water parks in the area during the winter and this was definitely the coldest. Overall, the kids had a blast but don't come in the water unless you like cold showers and waterslides.

We stayed in Room 10 which features a king size bed and a large soaking tub. The bed was comfortable, clean, and the bathroom was sizable. We always felt like there was a lot of space to unwind and relax when we were in our room. We were offered the Fall menu when we were there. On day 1 I had the apple crumble French toast (AMAZING) and I'm not even a big French toast guy. Your table has fresh orange juice, water, and coffee/tea when you come down and get seated. Loved this. On day 2 I had the traditional breakfast and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff was friendly and accommodating - as expected from a well run B&B. We were on site for a small gathering of gamer friends and so I also tried some of their offerings in the small cafe. I tried Italian wedding soup for lunch and got several hot tea drinks. All excellent. They have a small "snack room" near the main entrance that has popcorn, and water, coffee maker, and other small amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Overall, this was one of the most visitor-focused B&B we've had the pleasure of staying in. It sounds obvious to say that, but it his place really puts your money to work to make you enjoy your stay. The food options were great and the property was easy to navigate. The property reminded me of a well maintained Vegas property. Arrival was a bit rough as the valet lanes were completely blocked by large buses. Instead of being helpful or explaining anything, the valet was rude and told us we couldn't leave our car parked in the entry/departure lane. We were simply looking for a place to allow the bellhop to offload our vehicle but no one explained where we were meant to go. Note that the valet is complimentary which is nice. Free self park is also available on the casino lot. Luckily the check in was smooth and the folks at the desk were pleasant. On room entry, we found the room to be clean and spacious. The bathroom was especially nice given its generous size and ample stock of toiletries. The beds were comfortable as well. Drawbacks in the room include lack of mini fridge and microwave. They will provide one on request, but charge $25/day. A bit steep. The room was also frigid. When we arrived, the AC was set to 63 degrees. We of course turned it up but after each housekeeper cleaned, the thermostat was set back to sub zero temps! Final drawback was that the room did have faint odors of cigarettes despite being a non smoking room. It became less noticeable the longer we were in the room but never quite dissipated. Our favorite thing about the hotel itself was the lovely golf course view from our room and the onsite hiking trail. The trail is really lovely and well kept. It runs alongside a stream and is set back from the road nestled in the loveliest trees. So beautiful this time of year with the changing foliage. I wouldn't be opposed to future stays but would likely explore some other options in the Poconos first. The onsite restaurants were letdowns in our opinion but we did enjoy some offsite eateries nearby. I would call this an above average experience. Probably best for those folk who want to enjoy the casino!

Booking online was easy, and check-in was simple--we just stopped by Frogtown Chophouse to pick up our keys and finished the paperwork the next morning. Our cottage was clean, in good repair, and surprisingly quiet given that the restaurant is on the property. The space is set up well for a couple or small family: a bedroom with a queen bed, a living room with a queen sleeper sofa, a small kitchenette (fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker), and even a propane fireplace that was perfect for chilly September evenings. While the fixtures and linens were a little dated, everything was tidy and comfortable, and the unit could easily sleep four. The only real downside was the low water pressure in the shower--not ideal, but not a deal-breaker either. At just over $500 for two nights, we felt it was a fair investment for the experience. The on-site restaurant, Frogtown Chophouse, is highly rated, and we enjoyed stopping in for cocktails one evening. The bartender gave us excellent local recommendations that added to our trip. We arrived Friday afternoon (October 11 2024) and stayed for three nights. This place is a little slice of heaven tucked away in the Pocono Mountains. Our room with its queen sized bed and adjoining sitting area was clean and comfy. We appreciated the small refrigerator and microwave to store and warm up our late night snacks. One tv in each room made it easy for one of us to nap and the other to "veg" out, if we wanted to! It's true the front desk is not manned twenty four hours, but you are given a number to contact in case of an emergency. And the guests are asked to observe quiet time between 10pm and 8am. This worked for us. I didn't miss the hundred room hotel with potential all night parties next door. After a day full of fun Fall festivities...quiet, peaceful and cozy is just what we needed. We are certain to visit again, perhaps in the spring or summer season. But definitely, most definitely again with the changing of the leaves.

The hotel is actually smaller and easier to navigate than I had expected. It's only 3 floors, so even though elevators tend to have a wait you can use the stairs to get around which is nice. It's also a short walk from rooms to activities and restaurants. Things I loved - + The cozy lobby with a roaring fireplace and gorgeous Christmas decor + The kids nook in the room that had bunk beds and a tv + The kiddie slide area at the pool + The gift shop which had a lot of great toys, a build a bear and a candy store + That the pool area has a bar. + Fun activities outside of the pool like bowling, arcade, mini golf and the magic quest scavenger hunt + Dunkin' Donuts + A cute dance party for the kids at night in the lobby Things that were meh - + The pool area was so unkempt. Chairs are packed in on top of each other. Staff needs to do a better job of clearing out old towels, life vests and garbage from chairs. It's gross to have to walk by the same old pizza box for hours. Staff can easily do better with this. + I wish they had more activities on a Saturday morning. We saw a schedule that had morning activities on some other days, like a meet and greet with the wolf and yoga. Surprised to see nothing on a Saturday. I also wish the pool opened at 8 instead of 10! + Fireside restaurant. Mediocre food and high prices are definitely not surprising here though. We checked into the hotel, which was busy and crowded, but they have kiosks to make check-in faster (although annoyingly, the first wristbands we got from the kiosk didn't work, so we had to return to the front desk--you use the wristbands to unlock your room, enter the water park, make room charges, etc.). We had dinner at the buffet--totally fine, serviceable, what you'd expect at a family resort. (I've had worse food at a family resort--e.g., Legoland in upstate New York.) The room was big, but dated and not very "fancy." It was also not soundproofed well; we could hear kids running upstairs (but luckily we are good sleepers, and we got good rest). We went to the water park the next morning at 10, stayed for about two to three hours, and had a great time. It wasn't too crowded at this time, and we didn't have long waits for any of the slides--which were a nice mix of fun, slightly scary, but not TOO scary. The water in the pools was quite warm, as was the air temperature--they heat it to 84, I believe. By the time we left, it was crowded, and most chairs and loungers were taken. Tips: go early to the water park (at opening), bring snacks and drinks of your own if you want (theirs are not cheap, and consider bringing your own beach towels (the ones they provide are thin). Overall, Great Wolf Lodge is good family fun. But it's crowded and not high-end, so keep your expectations reasonable, and you will have a good time.

After driving nearly 5 hours with three small children, we arrived at Camelback excited for a fun getaway. Check-in was at 4 PM. We got there around 6 PM and were told our room was ready, only to walk into a dirty, completely unprepared room. At that point, I had to drag my kids and luggage back downstairs and start the waiting game all over again. We didn't get into a usable room until around 8 PM. That's four hours past check-in and two hours after arrival. Our entire first day was essentially wasted. And unfortunately, it only went downhill from there. The room we were finally given had no towels, missing bedding, floors that clearly hadn't been vacuumed, and dust throughout. The next day there was no housekeeping at all. We left multiple times and came back to the same trash, the same mess, and nothing touched. To make matters worse, bugs were coming out of the HVAC system, which is honestly unacceptable at any hotel, let alone a resort charging these prices. The waterpark is the only reason this isn't a zero-star review. My kids found some enjoyment, but even that area felt dirty and poorly maintained. Staff were hit or miss, with several being inattentive and some just plain rude. Yes, it was spring break, so I expected crowds. What I didn't expect was a complete lack of preparation, cleanliness, and basic hospitality. That's the difference between an average resort and one that actually cares about guest experience. For comparison, we've stayed at Kalahari Resorts, which is larger and somehow still manages to be clean, organized, and ready for guests. Camelback didn't come close. This trip was exhausting, disappointing, and a waste of money. I would not return, and I would strongly recommend families spend their money elsewhere.

We were fortunate to have rented a condo outside the resort, but the behavior we encountered at the resort itself was very similar, plus a few additional moments we could have done without, including someone blowing their nose into their bare hand and whipping it onto the floor. My family and I are doing the 50‑state challenge, and we chose Camelback Mountain as our Pennsylvania destination. Had we realized how close it was to NYC, we likely would have picked somewhere else. The mountain is beautiful, and the resort has a lot of potential, but they were out of almost everything across the property. On‑site restaurants had limited availability, and the posted hours weren't accurate. There's also very little to do outside the resort at this time of year. That said, I recommend you get here as early as possible if you plan to rent equipment!! It's also very helpful to reserve your gear and lift tickets ahead of time. That will make the gear check out process a bit easier/faster. We arrived around 1pm, and stood in a ridiculously long line to get our gear... All in all, we spent a little over an hour and a half just waiting for our gear. We were pretty annoyed by this, so if you're looking to spend more time on the slopes, get here EARLY!!! Parking is free, but also very difficult to find the later you get here... So keep that in mind as well. They have lockers all over the premises to lock up your things. You'll have to pay to rent them and I believe the only option is to pay for the whole day. Regarding crowdedness... There were really long wait times at the ski lifts, which was very annoying and often frustrating. I get that they have upgraded systems that scan our lift tickets each time we ride, however it created a lot of chaos regarding the lines. I was not a fan. Also, the number of people who were just SITTING in the middle of the slopes, blocking the way was incredibly annoying and also dangerous. There were a LOT of people doing this... I get that it can be scary going down the slopes, especially if it's your first time, however MOVE TO THE SIDE if you're not planning on going anywhere. To end on a brighter note, we were surprised to discover that they offer night skiing here! So arriving later in the day didn't affect us too much as we continued skiing until after 7pm. As beginners, we only needed about 3-4 hours of ski time so it worked out great for us! Not sure if we would come back here or not, but we're definitely glad we tried it out at least once!
