Honestly I cannot recommend Memorytown enough!!! We had our wedding there on 10/23/21 and Lori, the venue coordinator, is the most amazing human. She helped us with EVERYTHING from A to Z, and helped us make a ceremony location switch the day of due to the rain. She made sure everything was fabulous and I cannot thank her enough. It seriously brings a tear to my eye the amount of effort she put into ensuring that our day was perfect. The event staff was fabulous. They helped escort people around the property with umbrellas to ensure everyone stayed dry. Our food tasted absolutely amazing. We had our rehearsal dinner at the Tavern which has recently undergone renovations and now looks amazing! We could not be happier with choosing Memorytown for our wedding. Trust me, you will be in the best hands!

We came to Memory Town for a wedding over President's Day weekend. We are not "woodsy" people. We collect Marriott points and cringe at the thought of "camping." We prepared ourselves for the worst and what we got, was actually some of the bests. Memory Town in the winter is very quiet. The woman who checked us in, was the same woman running the wedding, banquet crew and everything else it seemed. She was every where we were. When we got to our one bedroom cabin, there was no heat. I immediately opened my Marriott app on my phone looking for the closest location. We called Reception and she sent a man over. He was well dressed and came right in and got us a complimentary log for the the fireplace with a space heater. He told us to enjoy the rehearsal dinner and would do his best to get it fixed. We were skeptical, and wondered what we would do. During the dinner, he came to us, introduced to person who not just fixed the unit but replaced the entire heater for us and set our thermostat at a perfect 72 degrees. I was so happy. While we dined at the Tavern and had some of the BEST RIBS WE HAVE EVER HAD!! We travel a lot. We are always asked where to eat when others travel and we consider ourselves a strong foodie resource. We actually had to find the chef and compliment him on the ribs. Best kept secret!!!! Overall, everything was really nice. The staff was so sweet from the banquet servers to the bartender in the tavern who I think worked 90 hours straight. The cabins were so clean and new and fun to stay in, "roughing it, lite". Weddings there really are beautiful. Rustic, simple, elegant and simple. The food was really good. If you find yourself there, get the ribs.

The Tavern By The Lake Restaurant is the Absolute Delectable Destination!!!! We came here for a family wedding and came to the bar/restaurant and were pleasantly surprised!! Melissa our bartender was so welcoming and happy to make us feel at home. We met the chef Kita and ordered The 1lb of steamed clams -served in a TO DIE FOR Garlic White Wine Sauce w/ a toasted dipping bread was something I couldn't get enough of. We couldn't part with the garlic dipping sauce so we ordered the Grilled Cajun Shrimp Skewers. The butter sauce was still looming so we had to get an extra order or bread to go!!! Midnight snack check. Will it last until midnight?? Probably NOT!!! Can't wait to get back and devour!! Thank you Melissa and Kita-can't wait to see you tomorrow.....

From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the vibrant atmosphere that felt both family-friendly and tailored to adults. The water park was a huge hit with our two girls, offering a wide array of slides that catered to all ages. Whether it was the thrilling rides or the relaxing wave pool, there was always something to keep the whole family entertained. One standout feature of our trip was the food. In previous resort experiences, we've often found ourselves disappointed by the dining options, but Kalahari shattered those expectations! The variety and quality of meals were truly exceptional. From quick snacks and Starbucks coffee, to gourmet meals at one of their multiple restaurants, every bite was delicious. It was refreshing to find such a diverse menu that pleased my wife, the kids, and me. We also appreciated the thoughtful layout of the resort. It was easy to find comfortable places to relax, and while it did take some hunting , we did manage to find a table each day. The array of jacuzzis was another bonus, with both family-friendly and 21-and-over options. Overall, our stay at Kalahari Resort Poconos was filled with fun and memorable moments. If you're looking for a place that offers a perfect blend of excitement and comfort, this is the spot!

I'm still here at Kalahari Pocono Pines…read more Day-1 We arrived Monday morning at 10 AM. Check-in was fairly easy because there was virtually no one else here yet. When I passed the check-in 2-hours later... The line was very long and the same person was working. They definitely need more people there. I went to use the ladies room after checking in and it was extremely dirty. The cleaning cart was there with no attendant. Went to the indoor waterpark which opens at 10 AM because it's raining outside. The outside was closed. It's the usual indoor waterpark nothing special. The Jacuzzi. Where can I begin? It is an indoor outdoor Jacuzzi. Meaning, you can go straight from the inside through a passageway into the outside. On the inside section.... Only 3-lame-jets were working. PACKED With kids. Outdoor section NONE of the jets were on. I asked the "lifeguard" why the Jets were not on. He said do you want them on? I asked him if he knew the difference between a Jacuzzi and a pool of hot water. He said he would turn them on ... he never did. I cannot emphasize enough, how many children were in there. From a few months old to pre-teens. Horsing around.... I scooped this one girl up that was about to drown 4-years old. She was allegedly being watched by her 12-year-old sister. Her mother was so grateful. Why is the mother not watching her own 4-year-old? I am appalled by this Jacuzzi experience. Hey Kalahari.. Do you think you can have something just for adults? Do the kids not have enough activities to enjoy? No? Do you know how "unhealthy" A Jacuzzi is for children? They have these rules for the kids in the Jacuzzi. Nobody is adhering to those rules, not even the lifeguards. What lifeguard? Jacuzzis are for adults!!!!!!!! We had the buffet for breakfast. We arrived at 11 AM. They close at 12 noon. It was $30 for adults. And $20 for kids under 12. By the time we got there It was slim Pickens. You should not charge me the same amount as everybody else who got more variety before me. Was not impressed with the buffet at all. On the upside. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. Except of course, for the lifeguard who doesn't know the difference between a Jacuzzi and a tub full of hot water. And most importantly, is not adhering to the rules setforth for children in the Jacuzzi. I saved a kid from drowning today.... He should be fired. We will be checking out tomorrow at the prescribed 11 AM. I will add to this review at that time.

We stayed in Room 10 which features a king size bed and a large soaking tub. The bed was comfortable, clean, and the bathroom was sizable. We always felt like there was a lot of space to unwind and relax when we were in our room. We were offered the Fall menu when we were there. On day 1 I had the apple crumble French toast (AMAZING) and I'm not even a big French toast guy. Your table has fresh orange juice, water, and coffee/tea when you come down and get seated. Loved this. On day 2 I had the traditional breakfast and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff was friendly and accommodating - as expected from a well run B&B. We were on site for a small gathering of gamer friends and so I also tried some of their offerings in the small cafe. I tried Italian wedding soup for lunch and got several hot tea drinks. All excellent. They have a small "snack room" near the main entrance that has popcorn, and water, coffee maker, and other small amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Overall, this was one of the most visitor-focused B&B we've had the pleasure of staying in. It sounds obvious to say that, but it his place really puts your money to work to make you enjoy your stay. Thank you!

They had the same menu all week. And the food made him sick. Then the next day I got sick. The food wasn't fresh at all. What crazy it was only 17 couple at the resort. When we came home my husband had the flu and was admitted in the hospital and I had a cold. I couldn't go to work. The room was nice but the door had a big under it. I had to put a towel behind the bottom of the door so the cold air won't come in our room. They need to put more drains in the bathroom floor. Because when we took our shower the water was all over the floor. We had to use the towels that we had to mop up the water. They only gave us two bath towels, two face clothes and one bath floor towel. No pool and No Jacuzzi towels. What do they think when you get in and out the pool and the jacuzzi. How would you dry yourself off??? So me and my husband went to spooners and picked up some towels from the pool area. Everything was in walking distance. But it was so cold that we jump in the car to drive every where. The gift shop has a little of everything. When booking a room you have an option of just the room with breakfast or dinner. Or just the room and eat of the resort. They have on restaurant on the resort put its bar food like pizza, wings, burgers, nachos and tater tots. They have two bowling lanes, two pool tables, and other games, to play and also miniature golf. They have couples games that you can play and win a necklace trophy. The grounds are lovely all year around. A great place to relax. They have live music every night. Some of the rooms and different areas need up grades. Please be mindful of the food that you are serving the guest. One thing that I did forget that was very gross. Was the manager came out of nowhere with no gloves? No sanitize. Ask on his hands to stir the food for please. After that no one wanted any food. They probably had a lot of food left over. Then that wasn't all he did when it was dinner time.He was helping serve in the dinner cause it was a little busy. He touched somebody's ribs on their plate. The manager shouldn't touched the food. No gloves or nothing on his hands. He might have been doing this for a while. And no one paid attention. But he needs to stop because people can get people can get sick.

Arrival was a bit rough as the valet lanes were completely blocked by large buses. Instead of being helpful or explaining anything, the valet was rude and told us we couldn't leave our car parked in the entry/departure lane. We were simply looking for a place to allow the bellhop to offload our vehicle but no one explained where we were meant to go. Note that the valet is complimentary which is nice. Free self park is also available on the casino lot. Luckily the check in was smooth and the folks at the desk were pleasant. On room entry, we found the room to be clean and spacious. The bathroom was especially nice given its generous size and ample stock of toiletries. The beds were comfortable as well. Drawbacks in the room include lack of mini fridge and microwave. They will provide one on request, but charge $25/day. A bit steep. The room was also frigid. When we arrived, the AC was set to 63 degrees. We of course turned it up but after each housekeeper cleaned, the thermostat was set back to sub zero temps! Final drawback was that the room did have faint odors of cigarettes despite being a non smoking room. It became less noticeable the longer we were in the room but never quite dissipated. Our favorite thing about the hotel itself was the lovely golf course view from our room and the onsite hiking trail. The trail is really lovely and well kept. It runs alongside a stream and is set back from the road nestled in the loveliest trees. So beautiful this time of year with the changing foliage. I wouldn't be opposed to future stays but would likely explore some other options in the Poconos first. The onsite restaurants were letdowns in our opinion but we did enjoy some offsite eateries nearby. I would call this an above average experience. Probably best for those folk who want to enjoy the casino!

Booking online was easy, and check-in was simple--we just stopped by Frogtown Chophouse to pick up our keys and finished the paperwork the next morning. Our cottage was clean, in good repair, and surprisingly quiet given that the restaurant is on the property. The space is set up well for a couple or small family: a bedroom with a queen bed, a living room with a queen sleeper sofa, a small kitchenette (fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker), and even a propane fireplace that was perfect for chilly September evenings. While the fixtures and linens were a little dated, everything was tidy and comfortable, and the unit could easily sleep four. The only real downside was the low water pressure in the shower--not ideal, but not a deal-breaker either. At just over $500 for two nights, we felt it was a fair investment for the experience. One tv in each room made it easy for one of us to nap and the other to "veg" out, if we wanted to! It's true the front desk is not manned twenty four hours, but you are given a number to contact in case of an emergency. And the guests are asked to observe quiet time between 10pm and 8am. This worked for us. I didn't miss the hundred room hotel with potential all night parties next door. After a day full of fun Fall festivities...quiet, peaceful and cozy is just what we needed. We are certain to visit again, perhaps in the spring or summer season. But definitely, most definitely again with the changing of the leaves.

This was by far the laziest housekeeping people we've ever encountered in our lives -- instead of taking the requested dirty towels away and replacing them, they left everything on the ground and just dumped a pile of towels on the sink. Additionally, they barely made the beds -- the sofa bed was ignored while the main mattress' sheets were all touching the ground. Only the kids bunks got remade properly. We passed other rooms and it looked like they actually made the beds, so we probably got assigned the world's laziest person. Food: buffet food is meh. Restaurant food a step up. Stick with dunkin' for breakfast. Ice cream not bad, soft serve is large portions. Mirror maze was basically all broken. Only 2 things really worked when we went in, by the next day only one worked. Pay dirt (mining gemstones/fossils) was a high value activity for my kids - extra worth when you have the 25% discount. Water park is tiny and cold (there's a few small hot tubs), but has a lazy river; slushies standard ICEE brand, mini golf is sad (only like 7 holes maybe). Kids had a ton of fun at the candlestick bowling -- there's a bunch of game modes to try. Only worth if you get the unlimited. Magiquest was 4-6 hours of running around fun and defeating monsters. Wands and attachments are all upcharges from standard. Mostly can only access up and down with elevators so when one is out of order it takes forever. We didn't experience anything outdoors bc of rain.

The hotel is actually smaller and easier to navigate than I had expected. It's only 3 floors, so even though elevators tend to have a wait you can use the stairs to get around which is nice. It's also a short walk from rooms to activities and restaurants. Things I loved - + The cozy lobby with a roaring fireplace and gorgeous Christmas decor + The kids nook in the room that had bunk beds and a tv + The kiddie slide area at the pool + The gift shop which had a lot of great toys, a build a bear and a candy store + That the pool area has a bar. + Fun activities outside of the pool like bowling, arcade, mini golf and the magic quest scavenger hunt + Dunkin' Donuts + A cute dance party for the kids at night in the lobby Things that were meh - + The pool area was so unkempt. Chairs are packed in on top of each other. Staff needs to do a better job of clearing out old towels, life vests and garbage from chairs. It's gross to have to walk by the same old pizza box for hours. Staff can easily do better with this. + I wish they had more activities on a Saturday morning. We saw a schedule that had morning activities on some other days, like a meet and greet with the wolf and yoga. Surprised to see nothing on a Saturday. I also wish the pool opened at 8 instead of 10! + Fireside restaurant. Mediocre food and high prices are definitely not surprising here though. Overall - something fun and different, and definitely worth checking out for a change of scenery. But if you can swing going during a quiet week I'd definitely encourage to avoid crowds.

After waiting approximately an hour and a half, our room was not ready until nearly 6:00 PM. On Saturday, we spent the day at the indoor waterpark and rented Cabana 1. The highlight of our trip was our waiter, Andre, who provided exceptional service and was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the day. Unfortunately, the rest of the weekend took a turn for the worse. Later that afternoon, my daughter began feeling unwell and developed a fever. I went to the resort gift shop looking for children's Tylenol or ibuprofen, only to discover they carried neither. For a family-focused resort catering primarily to children, I found it surprising and concerning that basic over-the-counter children's fever medication was not available for purchase. When I asked for assistance, I was handed a first-aid packet containing aspirin, which is not something I would ever give to a child. Because my daughter's fever continued to rise, we made the difficult decision to cut our vacation short and return home that evening. Before leaving, we arranged for bell services to assist with our luggage from Room 529. I personally packed all of our belongings and helped Evan, our bell boy, load everything onto the luggage cart. Once home, while unpacking after tending to my daughter, I realized a mesh bag containing several items was missing, including my husband's Burberry swim trunks, my daughter's RuffleButts swimsuit, and her water shoes. The following day, I contacted the front desk, Lost & Found, and asked to speak to Evan at the bell services department. My information was taken, and I was told someone would call me back. No one ever did. I followed up again several days later and received the same response. No manager was available, no Evan, no answers were provided, and none of our belongings were ever recovered. While losing personal items is frustrating enough, what was most disappointing was the complete lack of follow-up, accountability, or customer service. Not one person contacted me as promised. Not one manager reached out to address the situation. Between the delayed check-in, lack of basic children's medication availability, and the disappearance of our belongings followed by zero communication from management, this was not the family vacation experience we expected. I can overlook mistakes. I cannot overlook poor customer service and a complete failure to address a guest's concerns. Sadly, after this experience, I would not return to Camelback Resort.

I stayed in the Concierge King room with a pool view, and the whole vibe was amazing. Outside by the pool it really gives spa-like relaxation vibes. Everyone was just chilling, relaxing in the sun, and sipping drinks. If you're looking for a place where you can unwind, hang out in the pool, and just enjoy a peaceful atmosphere, this is definitely a great spot, especially if you prefer a more modern, upscale feel rather than the traditional Poconos resorts. My only complaint was the food. They do have a restaurant on-site, but the food was just average in my opinion. Nothing terrible, but nothing that really stood out either. That being said, the overall look, atmosphere, and experience of the property definitely outweigh the food, and you can always head somewhere nearby for a better meal. Overall, it's a great place for a relaxing getaway with a modern vibe.

Check in was fast and smooth. Parking is plentiful and there's a covered area designated for smokers. I stayed in the Travelers Queen which I loved. It included a small sofa, lots of space, comfortable bed, single bathroom vanity, mini fridge, and coffee/tea maker. I stayed in room 420 which is around the corner from the elevator and faces the parking lot so it gets a lot of natural light. Our room also included an eye mask on the night stand. Note: the heated pool closes at 10pm. Outside food and beverages are not allowed anywhere outside your room. We did have plastic cups with a beverage of our choosing in it that were accepted but nothing that can be visibly seen. I would stay here again. Hopefully at a discount. One night is very expensive.

This is a great place for beginners! LOTS of green beginner slopes to try out. However, it's a…read morepopular spot and tends to be VERY crowded... That said, I recommend you get here as early as possible if you plan to rent equipment!! It's also very helpful to reserve your gear and lift tickets ahead of time. That will make the gear check out process a bit easier/faster. We arrived around 1pm, and stood in a ridiculously long line to get our gear... All in all, we spent a little over an hour and a half just waiting for our gear. We were pretty annoyed by this, so if you're looking to spend more time on the slopes, get here EARLY!!! Parking is free, but also very difficult to find the later you get here... So keep that in mind as well. They have lockers all over the premises to lock up your things. You'll have to pay to rent them and I believe the only option is to pay for the whole day. Regarding crowdedness... There were really long wait times at the ski lifts, which was very annoying and often frustrating. I get that they have upgraded systems that scan our lift tickets each time we ride, however it created a lot of chaos regarding the lines. I was not a fan. Also, the number of people who were just SITTING in the middle of the slopes, blocking the way was incredibly annoying and also dangerous. There were a LOT of people doing this... I get that it can be scary going down the slopes, especially if it's your first time, however MOVE TO THE SIDE if you're not planning on going anywhere. To end on a brighter note, we were surprised to discover that they offer night skiing here! So arriving later in the day didn't affect us too much as we continued skiing until after 7pm. As beginners, we only needed about 3-4 hours of ski time so it worked out great for us! Not sure if we would come back here or not, but we're definitely glad we tried it out at least once!

There is trash everywhere. Truly everywhere. Many people don't bother using the trash bins and instead leave their garbage behind for someone else to deal with. Public spaces and facilities aren't treated with much care; we saw gum, trash, and random items tossed into the gas fire pits, and people taking selfies often seemed to take priority over respecting others' personal space. We were fortunate to have rented a condo outside the resort, but the behavior we encountered at the resort itself was very similar, plus a few additional moments we could have done without, including someone blowing their nose into their bare hand and whipping it onto the floor. My family and I are doing the 50‑state challenge, and we chose Camelback Mountain as our Pennsylvania destination. Had we realized how close it was to NYC, we likely would have picked somewhere else. The mountain is beautiful, and the resort has a lot of potential, but they were out of almost everything across the property. On‑site restaurants had limited availability, and the posted hours weren't accurate. There's also very little to do outside the resort at this time of year. I'd recommend skipping the "largest general store in the country", the condition of their petting zoo alone will have you wanting to start an animal rescue.
