Pleasant experience. I'm actually very impressed with how much I liked this place! It was private, clean and beautiful inside. While dated, it shows that this property is being well maintained. We had an entire living room, fire place, outdoor balcony overlooking the lake and the beautiful heart shaped jacuzzi. I could tell they took their time to clean and thought about the layout, ambiance and activities to do within the property - there was a lot of outdoor activities such as archery, tennis, pickleball and kayaking when the weather warms up. I normally feel icky anywhere outside of my house but oddly enough, I felt very at home and comfortable here. What a romantic and cute spot. read more

I'm surprised this place has such an overall bad review. There was a mini thunderstorm that caused a power outage. There was a delay in my check-in and when I took a shower the water hadn't warmed up yet and I was forced to take a cold shower. The gift shop ended up staying closed even after the power was restored, so I didn't get to visit it. I didn't go around looking for flaws in the room. It was beautiful and spacious. Either the sauna wasn't working or maybe we couldn't figure it out, so we skipped that feature. We enjoyed listening to light music and popping a bottle of champagne in our heart shaped pool the night of check-in, then popped another in the champagne tub the next morning. There's also a couch, tv, and fireplace. The bed room had simulated star lights on the ceiling. It was easy to lose track of time; when I woke up in the morning I thought it was still dark out until I discovered it was 8 am. We took a nice nature trail walk early. We spent time at the outdoor pool, and sipped some drinks from Tan Lines outdoor bar. The margarita was weak so we got a blue Long Island bucket. Trey was our party game host. He has a great sense of humor and is naturally humorous. He was very entertaining. The pool is open 24hrs, we forgot to check out the evening vibe, we even forgot to check out the night club. We went into spooners, maybe we got there too late because there were no appetizers, just cheese and crackers and onion ring crumbs. We enjoyed a free game of pool over some cocktails from the bar. We also got to try their hot tub next door, which felt more like a warm tub, it was a bit stuffy in there for me, so we didn't stay long. The dinner and breakfast is buffet style. The food was tasty. The lamb was super tender. The chicken piccata was flavorful. And the chicken park was good too. We recommend going to breakfast early, we went late in between refills. All the servers we encountered were attentive and friendly. This also goes for the couples we interacted with through out the campus. This place has an overall great vibe and I'll definitely give them another try to earn my 5 stars. read more

What can I say about Paradise Stream?? This is our second at this location. The was not good. My husband got sick. I thought that I had to call the ambulance for my husband. Because he had something in his throat and chest. He had to drink water and a ginger ale soda to clear out what was going on in his chest. He had seafood soup and We think the soup was old. They had the same menu all week. And the food made him sick. Then the next day I got sick. The food wasn't fresh at all. What crazy it was only 17 couple at the resort. When we came home my husband had the flu and was admitted in the hospital and I had a cold. I couldn't go to work. The room was nice but the door had a big under it. I had to put a towel behind the bottom of the door so the cold air won't come in our room. They need to put more drains in the bathroom floor. Because when we took our shower the water was all over the floor. We had to use the towels that we had to mop up the water. They only gave us two bath towels, two face clothes and one bath floor towel. No pool and No Jacuzzi towels. What do they think when you get in and out the pool and the jacuzzi. How would you dry yourself off??? So me and my husband went to spooners and picked up some towels from the pool area. Everything was in walking distance. But it was so cold that we jump in the car to drive every where. The gift shop has a little of everything. When booking a room you have an option of just the room with breakfast or dinner. Or just the room and eat of the resort. They have on restaurant on the resort put its bar food like pizza, wings, burgers, nachos and tater tots. They have two bowling lanes, two pool tables, and other games, to play and also miniature golf. They have couples games that you can play and win a necklace trophy. The grounds are lovely all year around. A great place to relax. They have live music every night. Some of the rooms and different areas need up grades. Please be mindful of the food that you are serving the guest. One thing that I did forget that was very gross. Was the manager came out of nowhere with no gloves?No sanitize. Ask on his hands to stir the food for please. After that no one wanted any food. They probably had a lot of food left over. Then that wasn't all he did when it was dinner time.He was helping serve in the dinner cause it was a little busy. He touched somebody's ribs on their plate. The manager shouldn't touched the food. What a great time my woman and I had here at Paradise Stream. We had a bit of a late check-in due to a storm that passed by that knocked out the power, but they had it up and running quickly. Prior to that, we arrived early, got ourselves signed in and acquainted with the resort. The check-in was at 3:30 pm so we hung out in the pool, The hot tub, walked around for a bit and played some pool. We ate dinner that you need to have a reservation to have. The food was really good. Both breakfast and dinner. The lamb shank was fall off the bone literally. The rooms were clean and comfy. Alot todo at Paradise Stream. My husband and I stayed at the resort and had an amazing experience, thanks in large part to Meghan who ran the games and activities. She was absolutely wonderful! She was friendly, energetic, and made everyone feel welcome and included. Her enthusiasm and professionalism really stood out, and she brought so much fun and positive energy to the events. We went here as an anniversary celebration for a few days on our way back from seeing family in upstate ny. To start off when I made the reservation an address was given to me which is what we used to navigate there, and it directed us to a shopping plaza a mile or so away from the resort. After some scrambling we did find the resort which was littered with more Halloween decorations than a spirit Halloween store. For an adults only resort I thought it would have been a bit more classy in their decor. We did have to reserve all our dinner and breakfast times for our stay which felt odd. The food was just okay not great, in hindsight I would have not prepaid for meals and gone off campus for most meals. The dining room itself looked like the ballroom at the best western with fake windows lit with blue leds and fake floral window baskets. Not terribly romantic. The dining room staff were very nice and the only highlight of the restaurant. During the day there was not much to do. The recreation that was set up was lackluster and felt geriatric. on their website, they show lots of young couples doing activities but really spend your afternoon playing bingo or doing trivia Or trying to find a bunch of apple stickers around the grounds ti win a small prize. The archery range was beat up but functional. The outdoor mini golf looks about the same as the indoor mini golf and was not very difficult. We completed it in about 10 minutes. It was really sad that the indoor bowling was out of order the entire stay and nobody seemed to be trying to fix it. Be aware that the arcade is not free to play. every game cost a dollar and that was if it accepted your tokens on the first try, we had about two dollars that were eaten by the machines. The rooms were what you'd expect in looks. I was happy that the tub was clean. The bathroom in the Diana suite looked like a prison block. The shower was dark and huge but had a small spray faucet so only the small corner of it was usable. The room came with a booklet to contact the cafe, the spa etc but the numbers for the spa were out of date and later we found that the book was missing several spa offerings because the front desk said it was "out of date". This resort had no turn down or room refresh that we saw. We had to call for more towels and water bottles ( they said the water was not free). I had no conditioner only one small shampoo body wash and lotion which I mistook for conditioner. The in room pool was fine but the pool room smelled strongly of the fireplace that was in there. Overall the room was more motel ish than resort. I was looking forward to having a spa treatment and a pedicure to find out that they only have massages. To book it was a Third-party phone company instead of just going down to a desk or booking at reception or over the phone. We tried to book a couples massage but it seems they only had one person on staff so they were unable to offer a massage at the same time. Instead, I just got a massage which was nice enough. Overall, this turned out to be a mediocre vacation and I wouldn't go back anytime soon. We're the same price I would book a much more modern Airbnb and plan my own activities. read more

2 stars for retro vibe. -100 stars for service. Front desk checkin was a chaotic mess. Reports of bugs in rooms on the phone coming in as we tried to get our key. Save yourself $10 and buy the same wax log at Walmart for $3 only 5 min away. The gift shop personnel was the least friendly cashier we've met in a long time. Zero assistance. No one is going to cordially invite you or even tell you about QR code flyer events posted only for certain days/times so read everything or you'll miss out like on haunted trail Fridays. They say not to reserve your meal times at reservation but at checkin they were filled up so you can't even eat when you want to. Our 2 story champagne suite filled with smoke with the flue open. NO CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTOR and only 1 window in entire 1k sf. We had to leave the door open for 4 hours to breathe. May have something to do with the 5" HOLE of the internal brick of our fireplace. The AC works well thankfully because it was well over 80 upstairs when we arrived with temps outside in the 50s. The "stars" light in the ceiling of our champagne tub has a short so it was flashing like a strobe light - epileptics beware. The between room insulation does not - we heard moaning and music from an adjacent room until 2am. NOTE: No water pressure in suite 422. Unsure if it's the entire property or just this suite but it was DRIPPING out of the rain shower head to the point if you had the shower head angled at all there wasn't enough pressure to keep all holes dripping so only half would drip AT FULLY ON. Especially love they encourage you to drive a few hundred feet away to night activities, drink heavily and drive to your room. Definitely make sure you have uninsured driver insurance because the clientele here is pretty sus. Activities director aka CXO is spastic and not friendly old guy. Do not be 1 minute late or you can't play because "he's got another activity to get to" (next in an hour). The games didn't match the daily calendar, for example a couples game show with sweets was a billiards tournament lasting 10 minutes. Marshmallow golf for a free nights stay included completely melted marshmallows that stuck to the wedge so you couldn't even hit them to attempt the game. Want to play for fun additional marshmallows? Too bad - they're not here for your enjoyment. Overall, if you plan to stay in your suite - okay. If you plan to play outdoors, you'll have to grab gear from the gift shop requiring IDs to be left with them to borrow damaged old and broken equipment worth nothing, but still ok for kitschy. If you actually want to do activities beyond getting drunk and screwing, you may want to go elsewhere. Sad to see these treasured historical places dive so low. It was a memory to be made on a bucket list. Highly recommend staying in your room or avoiding staff. And if you have any curiosity, a black light would be fun to see what you might be exposed to in suite. Honestly would not stay here again if it was free. Maybe another location has friendlier staff and a better activities director. read more

I always wanted to come to this place with the champagne jacuzzi, pool in the room, sauna, fireplace, all sounded like a great place to spend a few days even if the weather wasn't that good. I arrived late around 9pm, nice person at front desk, got checked in. Got to my room and thought what a great moment to dip in a pool and go to jacuzzi. First off the pool is like 2 feet deep - hardly would call it a pool, the jets in a pool didn't work, the sauna didn't work, there is paint peeling off the walls of the pool. Ok, I figured there's jacuzzi - great. Filled it up with water and - surprise, the jets don't work there either. Wanted to call front desk - the phone in my room is dead. I ended up going to sleep because the room is a distance from the front desk, have to drive like 2 minutes. The next morning we went for breakfast - it was ok, I went to front desk, first the front desk woman was really rude. I told her that the jacuzzi, pool, sauna, phone don't work in my room, she told me that she will get someone to look at it today - like she was doing me a big favor... I got back to the room at night asked front desk if everything was fixed and they told me that phone can't be fixed and the rest is working. I get to my room pool, jacuzzi were working. I go to take a shower and there is no pressure - it took like 10 seconds to get my palms full of water from the dripping shower - needless to say taking shower was not fun. Jacuzzi worked though ;-) The next night was really cold and I had the heat running at 80 degrees all night and it did not get warm at all - good thing it was our last night there. We decided to make some coffee in the room - don't think so... the coffee maker did not work - what a surprise!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! read more

Overall I prefer this location to Cove Haven as it has a lot more around it. Breakfast had nice variety and was really good. My main complaints are the bed is on wheels which makes no sense and even locking the bed did not stop it from moving fully. Our room had ants in it which was not wonderful and the pool area is not super clean. Also the cable does not work right and the wifi sucks. However, they have fun activities to do both on property and off. Most on property activities are included in the price. They also have fun stuff to do near by and some good restaurants. Overall a few complaints but I would likely do it again someday or maybe try Pocono Place as I haven't tried their third property yet read more

We bought a day pass. $25 gets you a wristband and access to certain amenities. We had low expectations. The few hours we spent there together, in the land of love, were memorable. We had drinks at Spooners and ordered food. The drink (watermelon sangria) gave me such a bad stomach ache and heartburn, I had to leave to lay down in the car for a few minutes. When I returned, my food was there. Wings and fries. Definitely recommend. There isn't a changing room for the pool, so we used the restrooms, that were not the cleanest- but got the job done. They provided towels for the indoor pool and hot tub. Hot tub was nice. Lots of chlorine. My blond hair is green now There was a wall that displayed broken tiles that were found by previous lovers. We also found a tile with our toes and added it to the collection. Of course I was going back into the bar to get more drinks (decently priced for a resort) so after a few hours of swimming and playing, I'm drunkenly ready to leave. We had a good time because we always do together. Keep your expectations low and you probably will, too. read more

I really enjoyed this hidden gem. It was about a 3 hour drive away from baltimore but it was so worth it. I went during a week day and stayed overnight. It was in a nice quiet area. From the outside the room Didn't look that big but once you enter it was huge. The room had 3 floors. The room was clean and quiet. The hot tub was nice and spacious and by it being the shape of a glass made it even more special. The pool wasn't to deep but deep enough and big enough to move around. The sauna was pretty nice also. The room also had a massage table which was nice also. We even had free breakfast made to order. They had things to do on the campus but the room was so nice we didn't make it to the club. They have a club and a spa on site. You can even do the dinner if you don't want to Leave the resort. The property is seriously dated, half of the activities are out of order, the bartender hates her job, and the hot water doesn't work. One of the MAIN things we chose this property for was the in room tub. How disappointing when we attempted to use it and the water was ice cold. Of course that meant we couldn't shower either which was even worse. We called the desk and the man working the front desk was obviously annoyed by our concern. They sent someone out an hour later and then called us an hour after that to let us know it was broken. Well duh. Also they called us to inform us well after 12AM.. Breakfast was rotten, and they were out of half of what they needed. Their customer service is a JOKE too. We've been trying to contact them for weeks regarding our stay in October but we continually get voicemails and promises to "get back to us" with nothing in return. Also in attempts to call the resort I found that their phones go "out of service" pretty often. What a waste of almost $1000 for 2 nights in a glorified motel. Not exactly the most ideal romantic experience. I waited to make this review until we had given it enough time and I can't believe that they have yet to give us any response. read more

The water was still cold the next morning. We stayed only one night, so we couldn't enjoy the indoor pool. The location was nice and breakfast was good. The one star I give for front desk allowing us to leave and attempt to salvage the few hours left of my birthday by finding a new hotel to stay at. Serious ant issues. 11/15/21 me and my wife visited for my birthday. We had the Garden of Eden Apple suite. We settled into the room and was so excited. Didn't notice anything the first night. When we woke up the next day, i noticed something crawling on me. I noticed an ant infestation over the top of the bed, at least 40-50 of them. The bed could come off from the wall, but they were already on the sheets and bed. The full colony was trooping in that area, enjoying their squatter stay for free. We complained at the front desk and they moved us to an ant free room. The pain was having to pack everything back up, then move to another room. No compensation from Paradise stream. The rest of the visit was fine. 5/15/2022 My wife's birthday. I treated her to the Champagne towers. We were in room 403. She was so excited. I video taped entering the room, going up stairs and into the bathroom. Again! Ant colony by the sink. About 15-20 around the bathroom sink area, enjoying their stay (see photos). The good thing is we didn't settle into room yet. We called the front desk, they told us to come back to main office so they could change our room. The older lady at the desk did this quick and was very courteous. Since i can't upload video here, Later, I tried to snap photos from the video. So it's hard to see all the ants. Now we are in room 407, new cards and i inspected the entire place like an health inspector. Didn't see any ant friends. 5-16-2022 at around 12:30pm, i get a phone call from the manager lady. I'm half asleep. Shes telling me on the phone i'm not suppose to be in this room. I can barely understand her. I told her i had ants in my other room 403 and i was transferred to this room yesterday, the older lady put me in here by the front desk. She repeated you were suppose to check out already. Finally after a bunch of going back and forth, i verified my name again. Then she said I wasn't in the computer. How is that possible? What kind of organization is this? Then she apologizes, then i go back to sleep. BUT WAIT! IT GETS WORST! We are about to leave the room to head to dinner, i forgot my cell phone in the room. We try both keys and none of them worked. Obviously the manager deactivated the card keys since i wasnt suppose to be in the room. Didn't bother to reactivate the same keys, because she assumed i was someone else. Bad organization, bad communications, bad updating customer information, plus bad training for staff of not having correct in room. So i had to wait for a maintenance guy, didn't take long, just 5 minutes. He opened the door, so i could get my phone. Then i had to go back to the front desk, where older lady (forgot her name), was upset at the manager. She went on and on, that she put our correct information in the computer for that room. I don't know what to believe. So we have new keys to the room. WHITE POWDER STUFF FALLING FROM CEILING IN LIVING ROOM (SEE PHOTOS) 5-16-22 in the evening. We are using the pool in the room. Guess what we see? More ANTS!! They are back, but this time just the scout ants are here (I studied ants for my house and business. Learned how they send out scouts for food, then leave an invisible trail for the colony to follow so everyone can bring food back to the queen). So these ants were around the outside of the pool, looking for food. About 10-15 of them maybe. They were just running around looking for anything. We just squished them with our fingers (like aliens would do to humans one day), and splashed water on the rest. Wife left a small piece of hot ghost pepper nacho chip for them. We told the front desk later, and they offered to move us, but, We just stayed put. PARADISE STREAM NEED TO FIRE THEIR PEST CONTROL COMPANY OR CONTRACTOR. Whoever is doing their pest control is using out dated methods from the 1970s and 1980s. Spraying on the floors of rooms isn't the way to do things anymore, that's primitive! Thats what the lady at the front desk told me they could do. I don't want that in my lungs. Why would you spray something with all those chemicals that will hurt the guest more than the ant? There are smarter ways to deal with ants, i figured out the secrets. "GETTING RID OF ANTS FOR DUMMIES" 3 steps (I would do this for them if they were paying me). FIRST you setup a 6-8 feet ant spray perimeter around each hotel room block. You take out the ant colony outside of the 4 room apartments. This stuff on amazon can help with that: "Amdro Ant Block Home Perimeter Ant Bait, 1LB" SECOND set up these traps outside the apartments and in the area under the room (maintenance area): "Terro 1806 Outdoor Liquid Ant Baits" Search on amazon. I really, really wanted to like this place. I really did. My fiancee and I booked the Diana's Oasis room for a night, which is the second tier below the champagne rooms. It wasn't an inexpensive booking: by the time we paid all the various fees and such, we could have stayed a week in a more modest hotel. I'm going to mention the price because the problems with the room are exacerbated by the pricing. If you order a medium rare steak at the Awful Waffle, and it comes out well done, you shrug, eat it, and move on with your life; if you order medium rare at Chez Fancy Pants and it comes out medium well, it matters. On first impression, the room looked like a lot of fun, and nice. There's a small foyer, with the bathroom off of it. The bathroom sports a good sized walk-in shower, with multiple shower heads. The bedroom has a heart shaped jacuzzi, a round bed, a couple of chairs, and behind it, the "pool" room. The room is a little 70's tacky, but ... hey, we knew that going in, and that was part of the fun. The problem is... it doesn't look like anything has been touched up since 1974. On closer look, several of the sconces were broken and cracked, or missing chips. The furniture all had scratches, chips, dents, and such on it. Lightbulbs were burnt out and hadn't been replaced. The mirrors all had large black spots on them, and in one place, the mirror had been hastily repaired using duct tape! Yowch: for the price, they can keep up with the repairs on the place. Cleanliness was similarly lax -- it looked "clean enough," but a better look around showed footprints in the pool area, smudges and grease on a chair (given the atmosphere of the hotel, you know what that was from), etc. Worse, I woke up late at night to use the restroom, and discovered a large roach in the bathroom. YUCK! Given the atmosphere of the place, as a "couple's retreat," it really makes me wonder just what other things weren't cleaned and how they may have been used... :-X Having spent the day hiking, our first stop was the shower. One of the three shower heads was poorly attached and fell out of its holder, spraying water everywhere. Okay, that was actually pretty funny. There was a little tiny bath mat, which didn't serve to keep the floors dry under the best of circumstances, and definitely not then. The jets in the hot tub were poor, as well, and a couple of them barely put out any water (some were fine, some just didn't work well). The indoor swimming pool, by the way, is about 5-feet deep, maybe 3' wide, and 7' long (I'm guestimating, I didn't measure). Its more of a soaking pool than a swimming pool. The ladder wasn't well attached, rather rickety, and had a large wire obvious underneath it. Perhaps the most frustrating part was the way the room's shape effected the air conditioner. The foyer area bottlenecks with the bathroom into the main room. The AC is in the foyer - and you can set it at 60° if you want, and still have the rest of the room be hot, muggy, and uncomfortable: its hard for the cool air to get out of the foyer. This is especially true if you've used the pool or hot tub, or ... well, let's just say "used the bed." The round bed's novelty quickly wore off when it came time to sleep: I'm just 5'9, but even at the very centre, my feet stuck over. Also, one final word of warning. If you've seen their marketing materials, and are expecting to see anyone like the models in the ads, forget about it. I'm in my 30s, my fiancee in her 20s, and if you add our age together, you'll still be below the average age of the guests at the hotel: like the furniture, it seems like they've been there since the 70s. read more

The outlet didn't work in the room, I had to plug it up to the lamp. The vent timer knob was inoperable. The swimming pool was dirty, the white was filthy whereas, the water was clear/clean. This was my 3rd and last time staying here and I will not recommend anyone to stay here my room was leaking water from outside the shower water was turning from burning hot to freezing cold and the front desk women have a nasty attitude when I told the one about it she gave me a mean look amd said what you want another room I said no cause I had unpack everything so she said she'd send some more towels and they left them outside under the rain and when I open the door there was more water all over so I called the front desk and they gave me another room no water was coming in but the floors was so dirty and the musty smell was strong never again I had reservation for next yr and I canceled it so disappointed never again and I don't recommend this place overpriced for a place that's falling apart read more

I've never experienced anything like this before, never been to a romantic resort. This was an exciting experience. I stayed at the Lakeside suite which has a heart shaped Jacuzzi inside. Both the Jacuzzi and the view were amazing. The bed was very comfortable and had no stains surprisingly given what this establishment is all about LOL. Unfortunately, because of Covid, the lake activities were closed but there are many activities to play on the compound like mini golf, volleyball, and archery. But I think those things are better with multiple people not just a partner. During Covid time, you need a reservation for dinner and breakfast. Breakfast had a great selection it was very tasty. Dinner honestly wasn't as impressive. The service wasn't very good and the food was just ok. The cocktails were subpar, really tasted like syrup was used to make them. Also need a reservation for the spa. The spa is from a different company than the resort so I won't review them here but it's an option that you should call for ahead of time. So after staying inside our homes due to the pandemic, my fiancé and I decided we needed a quick getaway. For the longest time I have been dying to come here and finally we had our chance. Of course we had to go all in or just stay home so we decided to stay in the champagne tower suit. Due to everything happening the resort had to change a few things. Food would be delivered to the room, no indoor activities would be available and only select outdoor activities would be available. Lucky for us the one thing we really wanted to do was Archery which was still available (which I must say was a ton of fun)! We were able to go to the bar and grab a drink but we had to immediately leave after purchase. The room cleanliness I felt could have been much better- places like this are usually not the cleanest to begin with so I felt comfortable brining my own cleaning supplies with me which I was very happy I did. I just feel with covid, they could have went out of their way and done much more to provide their clients a cleaner, sanitized room. We LOVED the layout of the room. The heart shaped pool was a ton of fun to swim in and I loved how our bedroom overlooked it. The jacuzzi was dirty, you can see pieces of skin when staring at it from underneath- so I ran the tub a few times and cleaned it out with my own supplies before we were comfortable enough to go inside it. Once we did it was really nice. The dinner was really good- we enjoyed the entire meal! Breakfast on the other hand I would have preferred to just skip it all together because it was horrible. I also would have preferred for us to have an ice machine near the room. We had to call the bar constantly to get new ice delivered for our drinks. Overall you need to take this place for what it is. Don't get me wrong, having a room like that seemed to be in the middle of the woods was a lot of fun! I have always wanted to go to the Poconos finally got there this place we were very disappointed! Cottage or army barracks whatever you want to call them was not what I expected. Walked in door smelled moldy, old! Furniture not comfortable downstairs TV did not work had to call maintenance guy could not fix problem,well tv did not get all station on tv sheet either to cheap! Well romantic it was suppose to be we had to go down to the bar to get a bag of ice for our champagne and drank out of paper coffee cups. Bedding was old and discolored Twinkling lighting upstairs half worked the other half did not and made loud buzzing sound. Bad ballast, black paint running off ceiling on walls. Only plus was food! This place sucks. As you open the door it smells mold.The floor was never cleaned. Linen were not washed well or not changed. The water on the pool wasn't warm. As you fill the jacuzzi with water the dust says on the top of water because jacuzzi was never cleaned before. So disappointed form my Garden of Eden room. Great place! Great location! I gave it 2 stars because I must of chose the wrong date to stay at the location. There was plumbing issues like brown water as soon as I checked in,which I'm sure doesn't happen often but the day I decided to stay it did. The next day the the toilet would not stop flushing which was Weird and of course the water was brown too as well as the water in the jacuzzi, we notified the front desk and their response time was quick but right after I called the toilet started to leak we called back they sent a maintenance man who literally had to change the whole toilet. After the toilet change the toilet took a total of 13 flush just to allow tissue to go down which was really strange. Other than that it's a great place and the issues that occurred I'm show doesn't happen often or I would at least hope not. *honorable mention - Door doesn't lock from the outside. - The shower puddles after 3 minutes. read more

My fiance and I booked an overnight stay to check the place out as a possible location for our wedding. I'll admit I was quite skeptical and didn't know what to expect after reading reviews. The room was spotless and absolutely beautiful, the pool was clean and warm, and the crown Jewel of a heart shaped whirlpool tub awaited me. The staff is awesome, those in the nightclub and dining room were wonderful especially Felice and Colby. The grounds though barren from the season are really beautiful. We did all inclusive which meant dinner and breakfast, everything was well prepared. The drinks in the nightclub are really good and affordable. My husband and I were given a weekend stay at paradise stream all inclusive from my sisters as a gift. They bought it on a charity website. We had a huge hassle transferring it to us and making the reservation since my sister bought it. This was in June 2019. We were told we were all set, even received a confirmation call and email. When we arrived at paradise stream we were told we needed a print out of the "certificate" (which was an email to my sister from the site she bought it on) otherwise we wouldn't be able to stay. The front desk women didn't want to deal with us, even told us that it was near the end of her shift. They have no computer there to print the email and the reception there was horrible. We tried sending it to her email and to the Corp offices email. I finally ended up calling my sister and having her email them instead. The women kept stating that she never received the email even from my sister. I finally noticed she handed the person whom just started their shift a paper and then left. So I stood in line a 3rd time to ask them what was going on. When we finally got up to the desk, they had our paper work, but never told us as we sat there waiting. (The main office sent it over) as we checked in I got a call from the main resort cove haven stating they got my emails! The women gave me someone else's email to send the "certificate" to. After an hour of trying to check in we were finally able to. At this point we were both annoyed. We went to our room 407 the champagne towers. The room smelled of wood fire place, which is to be expected. We checked for bugs and there were none thankfully. The cleaning crew obviously does not do a good job as we had coffee spills all over the back of couch and on the chairs behind it. Also water bottles left in the Sauna on the floor (which the sauna also did not work). We decided to stay since there was no horrific smell and no bugs. I ended up wiping everything down including the couches with Clorox wipes. The rest of the stay was good. The food was ok, Usual buffet food. The rest of the staff was friendly. We didn't end up going to any music or comedians since they started after 9 and we get up around 6. We went on a haunted hayride and played bingo which both were fun. Rooms say they have been updated, but definitely need more care and attention. Especially from the cleaning crew. Overall, after the first initial check in I would say our stay was ok. I wouldn't choose to go back. But it was exactly what I expected from other reviews and pictures. read more

I really appreciated this couples get away but it's definitely with a grain of salt. If they really took time to upgrade their rooms and hotel this place could be a 10/10. We booked the garden of Eden apple room, with a nice indoor pool area, which was clean. The sauna is electric and a little on the old side but did the job of heating up. The room itself smelt old, we had to buy a plug in which helped tremendously. The hot tub was good no complaints. The bed is in the shape of a circle could be hard for tall people to sleep on and moves doesn't stay in place. Now we got the package with the food. Don't even bother. Food was horrible in the restaurant they have, but the dessert was fantastic. The restaurant they have that you can order for room service was actually great, would recommend, otherwise eat outside. Our outside area was just sad lots of broken vent areas on the ceiling. We were next to a little water area which was nice but the area looks cheap, with old seats in front of the room and not really clean to be honest. They need to really work on the area and clean up. The cleaning people walk around in a cheap wagon with towels in bags to clean up the room and to be honest as much as they are charging they could step it up 10000%. However, indoor pool was good, the area has everything in close distance ( supermarket, gas station). And some good food places, definitely try out Mi Casa about 10 min away food was 10/10. Whoever owns this needs to invest into it because this could be a gem but you can prob find an Airbnb that's cheaper with better quality IMO. read more

Very disappointed with this place. We stayed in the champagne towers suite. On our first day we began experiencing problems with the water from the moment we arrived. At first the hot water was only luke warm at best. A few hours later we had no water at all. We called the front desk and they sent someone to fix it. But after the fix all we had was hot water. Even out of the cold water faucet it was hot. After another call to the desk and another attempt to fix it we ended up with only cold water. So we placed another call and requested we be moved to another room. In addition to the water issue in our room the in suite pool room was extremely hot we were not able to use the pool comfortably. Even all the railings in the pool room were hot to the touch. We did get moved to a different room but that was not much better. The hot water again was barely warm and made it unpleasant to try to enjoy the champagne whirlpool bath. And to make matters worse we ended up with no water again. After yet another call to the front desk they said they were working on a water issue. We were not given any advanced notice of the outage and had to check out without being able to shower. We had to trek down to the lobby to use the rest room since the toilet in our room had no water. Dinner service during our stay was terrible. Both nights we were there the dining room was short staffed and probably short on cooks in the kitchen. We had a 6:30 seating for dinner and even though we placed our order quickly we did not get our food until 7:25. Our waitress was waiting on 4 tables at the same time. She would take our orders then she disappeared for a while. Eventually she came back with drinks for all 4 tables. By the time the drinks arrived everyone had already finished their salad bar food. It then took 20 more minutes for those who ordered soup to get the soup and she disappeared again for a half hour with no signs of her anywhere. Not once did she check to see if anyone needed drink refills during the long wait for the entrees. At one point we thought she might also be cooking the food back in the kitchen. When she finally emerged with a tray of 8 entrees for the 4 table she was covering the food we were served was cold. During the whole meal it appeared that all 4 tables had to wait until the food for all 4 tables was ready before she would serve anyone. The mashed potatoes were the worst I ever tasted. They tasted like they were repurposed from leftover hash browns from breakfast. Everyone seated around the same time as we were had similar wait time for their food too. We noticed many guests didn't finish their meals because the food wasn't worth the wait. By the time we finally finished dinner there was a long backup of guest waiting to be seated. We had stayed in these properties multiple times in the past but with this visit it was very obvious that who ever is running these resorts ow are cutting corners everywhere. The property is in need of major tlc everywhere. The rooms are dated and dingy. Many lights in the room did not work and the furnishings are old and in need of cleaning. The public spaces are nothing special. And many items were broken and not in service. Such as sinks in the public bathrooms, the ice machine for guests, one of the bowling machines was out of order, the ping pong table is falling apart and one of the ping pong paddles was taped together with scotch tape., one of the hot tubs in the indoor pool area was out of service, etc. there are other items but too many to list here At $600 per night I feel Like we were robbed. Not only of our time and what should have been an enjoyable experience but our hard earned money too. We will NEVER stay here again read more

Nothing but problems when coming to this resort. I got stuck in traffic on my way to the resort so I called to let them know my arrival time. They assured me as long as I checked in before 6pm there would be no issue. An hour later, 20 minutes after my originally scheduled check in time I received a call notifying me that my room I booked 3 weeks in advance and put a $250 deposit on was no longer available. They would be downgrading me. Once I arrived after being stuck in 2 1/2 hours of stand still traffic they told me my room I put a deposit down on was closed due to a water main break. After the check in process and my disappointment in not getting the room I was told the new downgraded room WAS NOT AVAILABLE due to housekeeping still cleaning the room. At this point I was beyond frustration. If check in time was 330 pm. How is a room not available at 5pm? When I inquired about availability time I wasn't told it's unknown and hopefully my room will be ready before dinner. At my wits end, having driven hours for my HONEYMOON I left the building and was called minutes later by the front desk employee stating that the room was now ready. Being a pregnant newly wed I was exhausted and upset. The stay was fine however when leaving I was hit was an additional $260 despite my already putting down $250 deposit and paying $250 upon arrival. When I showed the receptionist the pending transaction for the original charge she explained that charge would be dropped pending acceptance of the new charge. I would not recommend going here for honeymoons especially or for any hope for a relaxing get away. I would give 0/10 stars if I could. Nothing but a complete was of my time and a huge headache. Ruined my honeymoon and made me cry on my wedding day. I do not recommend booking with this resort. Don't waste your time or money. read more

My husband and I stayed this past weekend June 16 to the 19 and really enjoyed ourselves. We stayed in a Lakeside Villa Room. Chef was extremely accommodating to our dietary needs. Activities were great just wished more couples took advantage in participating. Bingo and trivia definitely drew a crowd. We checked out Callie's Homade Candy shop and House of Candles in the local area. Left a deposit at Mount Airy Casino. We will definitely return. We did have an issue with room but then received room upgrade. read more

This was our first visit to this resort. We found certain lack of attention to detail. To start with, there was what looked like cigarette burns on the bathroom vanity. The lights above the bed did not work. The toilet also seemed to work sluggishly. The lights and toilet were mentioned and we were told that maintenance would look into it but they never came. We also found the bathroom sink was also somewhat clogged as the water took a long time to drain. Nothing a little draino wouldn't clear up. Another point of lack of attention to detail was the rail/fence outside our room was missing a cap on top of the post. The shower was a big however was a safety issue as no grab bar installed. The risk of someone falling was definitely there. In addition, this was an open shower with no shower door. This was a bit unnerving as this is a new "design" which we've never seen. My husband has been recovering from a broken hip and so safety was a big concern. With regard to the dining room service, we observed a definite lack of attention. For example: Spoons for coffee, etc were missing more often than not. Also when looking to request a simple second cup of coffee the server either took a long time to come or didn't come at all. Another instance was upon opening the napkin to remove the utensils there were 2 forks and no knife. In addition, with regard to menu itself, we'd suggest a wider variety such as turkey, burgers, or pot roast with potatoes and vegetables for those guests that cannot tolerate a spiced up/fancier menu. The room was nice. However, it had a drop down livingroom which would be fine except there was nothing "marker" to indicate the drop. My husband and I put the two white wastebaskets at either end so as to be sure not to fall. Lastly, there was no in house cafe to sit and order/have lunch which is not included. While we were advised we could order food to be delivered to our room, there would be an additional charge. We have now been to all three resorts, Cove Have, Pocono Palace and Paradise Stream.
