Lionel replaced the battery and metal wrist band while I was patiently waiting. He did it so quickly that I was surprised. He only charged me for the battery replacement. Located on Pensacola Street, across from Kaiser Medical Center, Crown Time House shares a small parking lot with all of the businesses in the two-story building. It's a one-way traffic pattern for the free parking lot behind the building. Enter from Pensacola Street and exit onto Young Street. Big mistake. This Ben Bridge Jeweler (now at space #2226) is apparently a Tudor AD, so there should be no problem with them changing or adjusting OEM straps/bracelets. After waiting about 20 minutes, I was told that the watchmaker in the back was having difficulty removing the OEM strap, and for me to please wait. Huh? Another 10-20 minutes go by, and I notice several other reps being called to the back to assist. The rep assisting me looked nervous, but was repeatedly apologetic in having me wait for so long. This couldn't be standard practice for a reputable jeweler, let alone a Tudor AD. In total, I waited for about 45 minutes for them to change the bracelet and finally return my watch. I had a bad feeling, so I checked the back of the watch to see if there was any damage. Lo and behold - they scratched the crap out of my 3 day old Tudor. To their credit, Gail (Assistant Store Manager) offered to polish the watch and remove the scratch marks but I declined before they could ruin the watch any further. When I asked whether the watchmaker taped up the lugs to prevent scratching/damage while working on my watch (which should be standard practice when changing bracelets), the rep helping me said she didn't know. In any case, the damage was done and this doesn't fix the fundamental problem that the watchmaker/rep did not treat my 3 day old Tudor with care... even when they knew that I am a returning Ben Bridge customer (they checked and verified my purchase at Kalakaua). Please don't make the same mistake I did. If you value your Tudor (or any watch for that matter), take it elsewhere that handles your watch with care. Next time, I'll be bringing my Tudor to the Tudor Boutique on Kalakaua. AVOID BEN BRIDGE IN ALA MOANA.

This was until I came back to the US and learned of an AP and Swatch collaboration. If buying an AP at retail was possible, I wouldn't think too much about the Royal Pop but it's almost impossible to buy a Royal Oak at retail. Buying a Royal Oak in the grey market is possible but the cost skyrockets. Getting a Royal Pop that looks like a Royal Oak due to the collaboration with AP became a no brainer when I heard of the price. Unfortunately, many people are also trying to buy one or trying to collect every color. The SA's at the store state they don't know what's coming in, how many are coming in and when it's coming in. It'll all be dependent on luck to buy one you want. Initially I only wanted the LAN BA but after a many visits trying to buy one, I decided that getting any color would be fine. With so many replicas being sold online, it's safest to buy from the actual store. Nothing wrong with replicas but that's not my cup of tea. I would also feel disgusted buying one online and discovering it was a replica. From my attempts in trying to secure a Royal Pop, I learned Swatch means second watch and that Swatch owns a ton of other companies like Omega to name one. They have several collaborations and offer watches at a very inexpensive price point. The store itself is a good size located by center stage on the ground floor of Ala Moana Center. Customer service was consistent. Nikita, Sunny, Sean and Sam were professional and friendly. They were selling choke Royal Pops before I started coming so maybe I'm bad luck because they didn't have any deliveries for a long time after I had interest in buying one. Every watch has a story and my journey to obtain a Royal Pop is definitely a story.
