We walked in without having ANY intention of purchasing anything until we walked over to the Cartier Tanks. As we were on my honeymoon, we realized how this would be one of the few justifiable times for us to buy something so grand. While my husband is an avid watch enthusiast, I am well satisfied with my apple watch. However, the only watch that I like/am able to identify is the Tank. And then comes Peggy. Peggy greeted us so warmly and answered all of our annoying questions. Not once did she seem like she was "pitching" or pressuring us to make a decision. I have been frequenting the Ala Moana store for almost two decades. When they carried Patek Philippe, I would send my watch to New York via Timeworks for servicing. I have had very good experiences with the staff in the past. Recently, I noticed that Patek is no longer on display, and Casio G-Shock now has a prominent display. Breitling has opened their own boutique in the mall as well. In the past, I have taken my high-end quartz watches to the duty watchmaker for battery replacement because of the reliability of their service. However, today I brought a brand new wrist watch (head only) from my collection for battery replacement before it expired. Before examining the watch, I was lectured about expired batteries causing corrosion damage - which didn't apply to my watch. The watch head was seal in a small Ziploc bag running fine. I asked the receptionist to pass onto the watchmaker to be cautious as the watch was in NOS condition. My intent was to replace it back into the NOS box after the battery was replaced. A seemingly easy task for a watchmaker. The receptionist consulted with the watchmaker, and the job was rejected because it was "uncomfortable". A simple battery replacement. I am very disappointed the way this was handled and that the watchmaker did not make him/her available to discuss the work directly with the customer instead of communicating through a receptionist. I'll be taking my business elsewhere in the future. read more

Luckily they have it for display and was able to check out the time piece, as everyone know it is very difficult to get a watch at this market especially if youre a no body. Went in today inquiring about servicing my husband's Rolex. Tatsuyo was the first person to greet us and took us to the Rolex side of the store. He was very personable and helpful. Explaining every detail, even taking it to the in-store tech to check if there was significant cost that could possibly be incurred by first examining before sending it out to Rolex in Pennsylvania for the complete service. I especially liked that "Tats" did not try to hard sell us when suggesting I browse the jewelry side of the store when he got my wedding set complimentary cleaned. When coming back with the rings he did not put doubt in my mind about the stones being loose like other jewelry stores did when asked to clean them. Tatsuyo is a fine representative of this Ben Bridge store and I feel integrity exude from his demeanor. Non-judgmental, very knowledgeable, expressive and exuberant. He reassured us every step of the way. In fact, we left the Rolex to get serviced and walked out more than satisfied, thus leading us back into the store for an opal ring that caught my eye. The ring wasn't my size but as a service he was going to check if the upsizing could be done with no extra charge. Another gal said that we could get our money back if I didn't like the extra charge after sending it out. That means normally I would have to buy it first, ring gets sent outside to check on a resize fee, then I can cancel the sale if I don't want to pay for the fee. What!!? Wait . . . No . . Give you money now?!! Tatsuyo intervened with "we'll send it out first and will contact you if there is a fee, then you can decide". You're the best Tats!! I have an old WalMart watch that people always confuse for a Rolex or something super fancy. Well the battery finally died and I happened to be wearing it while I was in Ala Moana mall and I happened to be walking past Timeworks watch store. I stopped in to see how hard they would laugh at my watch. It turns out that they also fix broken watches and replace stones. They had some tiny diamonds laying around in the back that they told me to use to replace the missing cubic zircons. So I did, and they did. This dumb Walmart watch has a lot of sentimental value to me, as it was given to me by my dad before he passed away. Watches are going the way of the dodo bird now that everyone carries cellphones that are keyed into the nations nuclear clock system. This watch is an Elgin, which is laughable, I know, but to me it's better than any Rolex. I wore this watch to the bottom of the deepest cave on planet earth (Krubera cave, Georgia, Russia). My father and I were spelunkers, stemming from the South Dakota Grotto Club (https://www.pahasapagrotto.org/). Don't be afraid of the fancy window dressing at Timeworks. Yes, like I can hand wind almost any modern automatic movement. He obviously had no idea what I was referring to even when I specified the SBGY007 reference number. He then asked me "if the watch was leaked." Once he realized I was asking about a model he didn't have for sale, he proceeded to rudely look at his phone and ignore me. I'm not coming back here. June was amazing to work with. This was my first experience buying some high end watches and June was able to guide me thru every step with fun and ease. She was able to take her time showing me watches of all sorts to ensure I got a piece I truly wanted and not some random piece that will sit in a watch case. Sizing the watch took some time, only because it was a rubber strap that had to be cut to size and if cut too short, then there was no going back. I used to frequent the location for a while with my brother during pre-COVID times and in the middle of the pandemic as it was the place for us to grab watches we wanted. Writing another review after months of dissatisfaction from the location. Previously we were given various privileges and warm hospitality from staff since we were always buying a new time piece every other week. But once we had what we wanted, it was harder for us to find the watch that clicked. That's when we started experiencing lack of attention from the staff in general. I understand shortage for different brands exist as of late, but having to build a "monetary relationship" with the boutique to get pieces we want? I feel that's just not proper business ethics to begin with. If I wanted any sought after timepieces, they want you to spend an x-amount of dollars just to get what you want. At this rate, why would I pay over $100k at the store with random things just to get a watch at MSRP of $8000? This is what drives collectors to move into the gray market since it's cheaper and faster that way as boutiques try to hook you into buying unnecessary things and don't tell you till you're deep in. Additionally, I bought a JLC master geographic back in 2020 and it was not running properly. So I claimed warranty and was sent to a service center. It was in mint condition when it was sent to the service center, but when it came back after a month and a half, it was all scratched up, they didn't even bother polishing it before sending it back to me. They threw me in a carrying case as some type of consolation for the trouble which was unacceptable. When I asked why it got scratched up, they were only able to tell me thats what happens at service centers. I was frustrated to a point where I ended up getting rid of the timepiece the following month. Now I absolutely will not get a JLC let alone anything else from this once frequented location. If you're a true collector and a firm believer in fairness and accessibility to timepieces, look elsewhere. I'm definitely taking my business elsewhere. read more

Service depends what you wear. I wore designer clothes and received excellent service, but came in the next day for a Rolex and received garbage service. The 6foot, chubby Chinese service personnel is as snobby as they get. He pretends to be classy, but just a pretentious dick. We don't go into a store looking for a Rolex without knowing what it will cost. I know what I want, and if you're judging me by my clothes, then I will also. Learn to tailor your crappy suit, wear a tie bar at the very least, and hit the gym. You work for customers, and that's how you make your living. My recommendation, go to the Real Rolex store on the other side of the mall. This occurred at 11:45am on January 14, 2019. read more

I don't know what they are doing here in terms of servicing/troubleshooting. Took a 1 year old automatic watch to be looked at, the "Watch doctor" said it needed servicing, would take 3-4 months to do the service and cost $75.00 for shipping. Took same watch to another authorized dealer, they WOUND the watch and declared it -2 seconds per day accurate. What the heck is going on Ben Bridge!? Total loss of faith in the store here at Ala Moana. This "Watch Doctor" should be ashamed. read more

Called yesterday to get an estimate for my watch battery replacement and was quoted $25-$60. That sounds about right so I went at 11am since they opened at 9:30am. When arriving there, I was about to open the door when the employee motion to Stop and Wait. OK, so I waited and waited while the employee and then security person inside continued to "talk stories." Minutes later, the security guard looked outside to see if I was still there, and motioned to continue waiting.... FOR WHAT??!! They weren't doing anything!! Then the employees walked away from the door and headed towards the back of the store, so I waited until the employee looked again to see if I was still waiting, then I turned and left. What a waste of time that was!!!!! In Yelp, I read that Hawaii Watch Service Center had great reviews, so I headed there. Parking was a little difficult in Chinatown but when I got to the store, my watch battery was replaced within 3 minutes!!! When I looked over the counter, he was already wiping my watch with a cloth, handed it over to me and said, "that's 8 dollars." Whoa!!! Larger stores in Ala Moana are air conditioned and really nice, but there's a lot to be said about the excellent service and cost from the little mom and pop stores!!!!!!!!! read more

After the fiasco with Tourneau, called Ben Bridge and was assisted by Yuki, who asked their watchmaker if he could change the battery on my specific brand of watch. He could! She also told me up front that if I was coming in, to do so before 11 a.m. because the watchmaker would be moving to their other store at 11 a.m. Now THAT'S customer service! Got into the store before 11 a.m. and had my battery changed in less than 10 minutes! And for only $25, what a deal! If you are a tourist, do not bother going to Ben Bridge for watches. Sales guy outright told me they only sell desirable watches to locals. I clarified that as a tourist, I have a 0% chance of getting a desirable watch and he confirmed yes - the only time you MAY get a watch is if you get "extremely lucky" and they happen to have a watch that no one else wants... what a joke. I had a great experience in Waikiki when I met Ed Bridge when he was in charge, and told him in the future I'd always support the store. Not the case anymore. Salesperson Kelly was such a wonderful, sweet and PATIENT individual towards me and my hemming & hawing over whether or not I should get a certain watch. I think I was in there well over an hour (after having originally just walked in to window shop) and she showed my at least 5 pieces, answering my detailed and specific questions about each one of them.
