This is a great brand and store (Ala Moana location on 3rd level close to Honolulu Coffee Co.) to buy fashionable, decent quality watches! I think Fossil watches are underrated. I recently added a fourth Fossil watch to my collection and absolutely love it! It's a reddish face with silver, gold toned metal band watch and part of the Scarlett line. The price point is decent and most importantly, the quality is solid and very attractive. I have a couple of Fossil watches that I wear all the time and still in great condition with no scratches on the face or fading of the gold tone. Of course, the battery will have to be replaced once in a blue moon. They do it at the Fossil store for a fee or you can take it somewhere to fix. I never had any issues. They also sell bags, jewelry, sunglasses, etc... I have yet to purchase a Fossil bag, but will consider in future. Service has consistently been attentive, friendly, and professional at the Ala Moana store. read more

Got great selections of watches and other accessories (e.g. wallets and bags...). Price wise to me it's affordable for the quality of the products that one can spend to treat themselves. Went to this AlaMoana location today and bought a new watch. My 12th Fossil. I have to say I always get great customer service here. Today I was helped by Khara (name on my receipt) . She's very kind and helpful, and she was able to fix one of my watches while I was browsing for a new one. She had fixed a seal that wasn't fastened properly from when I got a battery replaced from a non Fossil store. I tried to tip her but Khara refused it with a great big smile. Wow....we all live here in Hawaii, and you dont think to tell me that the $165 watch I just picked out is only waterproof enough for washing my hands and taking showers??! You don't think plenty of us swim and surf....even in just shallow water?? Noticed fog & bubbles forming in my watch (only 2 months old) after playing with keikis in about waist deep water near Kualoa. Thought my watch was a dud & I could get a free replacement, but instead I found on the back it says 5 ATM which I had to figure out on my own meant that you cant even swim lightly with this on! For $165 I think we should be able to swim with it. There's nothing fancy about this watch...it's not a digital/smart watch, no stopwatch/timer, no leather.....just a plain black stainless steel watch who's paint will likely fade off the wristband (like my old one did). Anyways, the sales lady shoulda asked if I swim or not, and if I'd like to keep the watch on while swimming (most of us do). She dumb....and I'm pissed. read more

I called looking for a specific watch for my cousin. They answered their phone immediately (something I don't expect from retail shops at Ala Moana) and they had what I wanted in stock. When I walked in, one of the guys instantly recognized my voice and asked if I called in for the emerald green watch earlier. He held it for me at the register and told me I could personalize it by etching a name or phrase on the back and pick a case for it. He was very helpful and didn't hover over me or bother me while I perused through the other sections. Each time I visit, it's either Jay or another staff who helps us in finding a watch to add to my collections. I visit the store at least once a year. My spouse had a gift card to use, so we came in to check out the watches. This store is located in Ala Moana Center, 3rd level near the center of the mall. They have a nice selection of battery operated and automatic watches. I didn't realize how pricey their watches are. I was very impressed with the great customer service I received at Fossil today. I wandered into the Ala Moana store just to browse, wasn't really looking for anything in particular. Upon entering the store I was greeted immediately by one of staff members. As I looked over the men's section full of bags, watches, and sunglasses, another staff member was keen to ask if I was looking for anything in particular. I said "no, just browsing", but continued to browse their selection of sunglasses and even tried on 2 pairs. That same staff member promptly told me about the different styles they have, which styles were popular, and even gave some recommendations based on my own personal sunglasses that were sitting on top of my head. Although I didn't buy sunglasses, or any other item for that matter, I am definitely returning to this store in the future thanks to their polite, efficient, and excellent customer service. The staff here is really friendly, and will help you try on all the watches you're interested in. I actually have not tried on any watches here, but have gone with friends shopping for watches and they have tried on several. I have several watches, but only one of which is a Fossil watch. I purchased it in 2002 at the Fossil store in Brea Mall (Brea, CA) and it's been working flawlessly ever since; that's going on 8+ years! They also have other accessories, such as bags, sunglasses, and some apparel, but I have no experience with any of these items. Why am I reviewing this Fossil? In the summer of 2009, when I was shopping with a friend here (she did buy a watch), they had some sort of drawing going on. The staff must have talked us into filling out the entry slips; I usually never waste my time on such contests, knowing my luck. It turns out I won a (no-strings-attached) gift card from them, so I was pleasantly surprised. The thing I like most about Fossil is that the people here are super friendly, super chill, and all around helpful. Before my birthday, I visited this store several times. I came in so often that at any given point, there would be at least one person in the store that knew me. I was pretty indecisive and it was pretty hilarious. What color do I like? Does the small one look better? But I think I like the bigger one... Everyone had a say in it. Seriously, everyone. The people at Fossil, my friends... It was getting hilarious how emotionally invested one of my friends got. I liked one and she liked the other. Really, no one should have to overthink a decision so simple! So finally, I told my awesome friend, Kit W., what color I wanted and the situation with the watches and told her to surprise me. I always come to Fossil when I want a new wallet. I love the simplicity in the design, and the soft materials that go into crafting their many varieties of wallets. If you're more of a large wallet, small wallet, lots-of-cards wallet, or key-ring wallet kind of person, they've got you covered. They truly have so many different styles, and so many different color options, I would be stunned if you couldn't find one to suit your tastes. You can get a quality item for significantly cheaper than other brand-name shops. The leathers age nicely, and depending on the style of wallet you get, they can be quite light-weight, making them easy to tote around. I don't know if I'll ever change to a different wallet :) Also considering getting a fossil-brand watch - they're very nice and versatile! read more

I had a TERRIBLE situation with a watch repair. I didn't feel like anyone really cared about the watch my parents got for me when I turned 18. It was mailed back to me in WAY worst condition than how I sent it, in pieces. After exlpaining my frustration to the store manager, she originally couldn't really help me, it was out of her hands. I was stern about getting it either looked at again to get it fixed or replace it. Wasn't her call, she was very apologetic but it was her manager's call. Called me back the next day, apologized for the situation again and told me that they were going to send the watch in again to a specific person to take a second look. She then told me that she wanted to compensate me with another watch. I really didn't want to take it but she insisted on me coming over. She told me what day would be best for me to come in because she personally wanted to help me. I replied Saturday. Expecting me to get some store showcase watch that was out of style, I arrived that Saturday. The manager met me and told me to pick one. I asked her from where and she said,"which ever one you want..." I told her I really don't want to do that but again, she insisted. "Your parents got you that watch and your situation was very frustrating. I feel good about this." She pointed out a beautiful color and style, "Black Gun Metal." Not flashy or anything, just the way I like. She AGAIN apologized and thanked me for allowing her to help me. AMAZING! But what happened to my 18th Birthday watch....I received it in fully functioning condition a couple of weeks ago. Her name is Heather and I am eternally greatful. Not only do I have my watch that I've had since I became an adult that holds many fond memories, but I left with a new watch that will always remind me of Heather's Tremendous Above and Beyond out of this WORLD service. One noticed that I was holding an empty water bottle and offered to throw it away for me. I said I was just waiting to refill it at a water fountain. Pretty easy to find even if you don't know your way around the shopping center. The staff was friendly and knew their stock. Went in to buy a new watch and they helped me pick one in under 20 minutes. They also did the rebranding for free. If you don't know what type of watch you want, just tell them what you are looking for and they will help you pick one you like and within your budget. I called the Waikiki Fossil (because that was the first number that appeared on yelp) and asked if they did watch strap change/battery change. The lady in Waikiki said that they do the above and said the strap change would be free but the battery change would cost X amount of $ ( I don't remember how much). I asked if the Ala moana store provides same service. She said yes. I go into the Ala Moana fossil. Was greeted by a kind Asian worker. Told her what I was told by fossil Waikiki. She said she'd call the manager. Which the manager came out soon after. Local girl with tattoos serves me with bad attitude. Says that they can't switch the straps on my cheap armani watch. And that they can only do fossil watches. I understand that they are a fossil watch maker, but they have the tools for it, why can't they do a simple strap change? (I would have done it, even if they charged me of course). Isn't fossil a large watch making company? Also I told the manager that Waikiki fossil said I could get my strap done. So she calls the Waikiki store to find out who told me that. I'm not sure why she had to call Waikiki store in front of me at the time and keep me waiting. She hangs the phone up and tells me that I never told the lady at Waikiki Fossil that I was bringing in an Armani watch. But I can say the same and say, the Waikiki Fossil never told me that they only did fossil watches. Touche. Right? So in the end, she made me wait while she talked on the phone with Waikiki even though she wasn't going to do anything for me. Usually professional businesses, when one of their employee misinforms a customer, they respect their misinformation and provide the service. In this case, the Waikiki fossil didn't inform me that only fossil watch work could be done. So they should have done the service because I was informed I could. I feel bad for the Asian worker because she seemed nice and respectful when I saw her serve other customers while I waited for the manager on the phone. But the manager has no skill for handling professional business. Especially when it comes to this kind of miscommunication/dispute. Poor managing skills. read more

We went into Fossil looking for a classic style woman's watch. Most of their stuff is pretty fake jewel encrusted stuff. It's not going to be premium brand, but they did have some nice looking watches. I used to use their wallets because they were one of the only ones who made a "checkbook style" men's wallet. I'd probably be still using one if it weren't for getting a nicer wallet as a gift. The young guy helping us out was really helpful, friendly, and talkative. We came out of there empty handed because the girlfriend really didn't find what she was looking for, but overall we had a really good customer service experience. Do not buy a Fossil wristwatch unless you want to keep it in your dawer or pocket. The bands and stems fall apart on there own. We have purchased 4 Fossil watches for $150.00-$250.00 each for gifts and myself. None of them are in service. All of them needed multiple trips to get repaired. I believe shopping at Fossil online is the best way to buy functional and stylish quartz watches. However, I have heard only bad reviews for their battery hungry Smart watches. But that is not why I don't give them 5 stars. Don't expect an heirloom or a collectors item, still not the reason why they don't get 5 stars. With the discounts promos that are often 40%, free shipping on already marked down prices and the free engraving coupled with pretty quick delivery stateside, I think it is really the better alternative then to buy something on Aliexpress which has had a horrible track record of delivery for me-- although they do offer some wonderful real values. Buying something off Wish is a gamble as they are not authentic pieces. My only gripe was that a mock diver submariner when I called up the Fossil customer service insisted that the bezel moved when in fact it did not, If they brought back the breaker diver that would be awesome as it was a an excellent diver.That is why they get 4 stars. But, I really believe that this is a great easy click way to send people graduation gifts and special occasion gifts with engraving for only about $30 if you shop and seek out promos. They have a really good niche market, good performance. This should be on anyone's virtual registry for gifts( because of the engraving) for reliable and decent quality products. The only other problem is that when they give you free engraving they don't offer free returns, in itself understandable-- yet it is a bit of a velvet trap even though they advertise on the same ad free returns and free engraving. I recommend this to friends and would buy stock in the company if public. read more

grabbing a gift for a friend, the girls at this Fossil store (on Sunday 07/18/11) were great. they were friendly, super helpful, patient and liked joking around as much as my friends did. i forgot her name, but whoever helped us the other day was one of the best girls ever - she had flower tattoos on her arm..... super helpful and nice, but then again, all of them were! Fossil watches in general are my favorite b/c they have a pretty good selection, their watches are sturdy, and they are affordable if you're looking for something that will last you a while, but cannot afford something like a TAG Heuer, Rolex, or a Tourbillon..... also, their leather items (like bags, wallets, etc.) are generally good quality too. people these days depend on their phone too much for the time - there is nothing like a nice watch! read more

Walked in early in the morning to drop off my watch to have the battery changed. Only 1 person working so she let me know it may be awhile since she had to watch the floor until someone else came in. No problem at least she gave me a heads up instead of leaving me hanging and waiting. I was with the girlfriend so I knew I had more then enough time to wait. Bad thing was the girlfriend wanted to go to Macy's so off to the other end of the mall we went. Got the call 5 minutes after we got to Macy's following stops at Michael Kors and Kate Spade that they didn't have the battery in stock so I could get one from Longs and they'd change it. Back across the mall to get the battery by myself. After dropping off the battery at Fossil went over a couple stores to the coffee place and played candy crush and had a coffee. Much better then standing around Macy's. Fossil finished up changing my battery before I ran out of lives so back to Macy's I had to go. Crossed the mall 3 times. Don't need a trip to the gym today. Service was quick and great. The two women working were friendly and helpful. Gotta stay with the budget watches that look good and function so I can pay for the stuff the girlfriend wants and she doesn't say anything about bringing home new surfboards. Will be back alone to Christmas shop so I don't get stuck at the mall for 5 hours after doing what I needed to do in 40 or 45 minutes. LOL read more

Not to mention, I'm not a fan of metal-wristed watches which seems to permeate the watch market in recent memory. I have to say that Ala Moana's Fossil Store provided me with exceptional service and quality attention to my questions. This store's employee, named Lee, was absolutely remarkable and very attentive to my many inquiries, even giving me some welcoming refresher points in watch-wearing, what other accessories Fossil offers, and suggesting other potential watches for future purchases. He presented me with various watches that matched up with my specifications (something between casual and formal, preferably chunky in appearance with a leather wristband) where I finally picked the Nate Chronograph Leather Watch in black. He also shared with me about their 11-year warranty and the details of what it does and does not cover, all which seemed reasonable to me. I did not expect to walk-out of Fossil with a purchase, but I'm very happy with my new chunky, gorgeous watch I am enjoying sporting around. I visited the Ala Moana Fossil store a few weeks back cause I knocked the 1 o'clock bar out of place when I accidentally slammed my watch into a corner of the table. The battery had also died too so I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone and get it all fixed at once. When I first got there the whole staff was very friendly and welcoming, and I was helped by a nice young man named Chris. Initially he offered to take my watch in on a trade in and get me a great deal on a new one, but this watch was purchased for me by my girlfriend while on our vacation in California, amd it was an all white model which is no longer made, so I explained to him that I really wanted to keep it. He was very understanding and helped me set up a repair order immediately. The watch was sent out from the store and it was just a waiting game now. I was very relieved knowing warranty covered the repairs too. About a week and a half goes by, and my watch is back home, safe and sound, and looks like new!! YAY........then the next day it stopped working.....OH NAY! So I was finally able to go back to Fossil Ala Moana today, and low and behold - Chris is working! He remembered me too.....I showed him the watch and how they did a great job on the repair, and perhaps the battery they put in was just a bad one, so I just needed them to replace it. After taking a closer look at my watch Chris (and another female assistant) opened it up and they discovered that one of the arms was too low so it was getting stuck on the second arm. Chris managed to get inside the frontside of the watch case with some tweezers and bend the arm back just enough so they wouldn't rub each other. He tested it by rolling the arms past each other and it worked!!! I was blown away by his amazing service. He went above and beyond my expectations! I'm so glad I didn't have to send it back out again. Thank you so much Chris!! Amd congratulations on your new Samsung Galaxy S6!!
