The service was quick and efficient, the staff was friendly and had a nice area to wait if you decided to stick around while they worked. The service only costed me about 20$ and took just around 15 mins to complete. When I returned the staff had me try my watch on and it was just a little too tight, so he took it back and made a quick adjustment then and there and gave it back; just like that it was the perfect fit. These guys are very smart and know a lot about jewelry and watches, they are definitely worth the quick stop by if you need any of their services! The only criticism I could think of is when both of the workers are busy at their work benches it may take a while to get their attention, and you might wait a while till they can get to you. I will for sure be back though!

The other shop gave me weird vibes, so I decided to give Elson's a try since everyone in the reviews had nothing but positive things to say. I emailed them in the morning and decided to call as well to check if they take walk-in repairs. The person I spoke with happened to be the owner's brother and they said yes, just come on down--so I did just that! I was welcomed in by Elson Jr., the owner's brother and person I spoke with on the phone, and he told me they could repair the chain for $50 and get it done in about 30 minutes. Good deal in my opinion! So I waited in the store and not even 15 minutes later, the chain was repaired *AND* Elson said they cleaned it! Highly, highly recommend these guys for jewelry repairs if you live near ʻAiea or even if you can drive in from elsewhere on Oʻahu. Mahalo again to Elson and Calin, both of whom provided excellent customer service and attention to my request!

Ample parking. It is right next to where Toys R Us used to be, and to get to the parking you will need to turn in at the light by Big City Diner. The new store is a definite upgrade to the old location! It was a little confusing for me to find as you can't see Elson's from the parking lot. You will have to walk out through a pathway to get to Pali Momi Street and walk to where the store faces the street. You will need to get buzzed in for security reasons. They have a small jewelry selection available that is ready to purchase, but it seems they do a lot of custom work. I primarily come here for repairs! I've replaced missing pave diamonds and just had a repair done today for a bracelet I had where a pear shaped diamond fell out. I unfortunately did not have the diamond, but they had a similar natural diamond on hand and were able to repair it in about 20 minutes! Repair cost was about $100 less than I was quoted to mail it back to the jewelry company that I purchased it from in the mainland. Saved money and got it back right away. I will always come here for jewelry repair needs!

She casually said "oh ok" staring at her computer screen and said "I'll try and find someone to help you" without looking up. I declined and left the store. I've done business with them a few times over the last 15 years and this was absolutely the worst I've been treated. It's service like this that makes me not want to support local businesses and just go with a bigger company.

I was just in Waikiki for the first time and by chance, ended up at the Alohilani Resort. I walked into this little shop on the first floor of the resort and was greeted by the owner, Rose, the sweetest young woman. She taught me how to make earrings and bracelets and she was such a joy. Her jewelry is beautiful and could only have been designed by an artist. Her sisters work with her, promoting and selling eco-friendly items at very reasonable prices.
