Nightmare

I've had much better biscuits and gravy from my school cafeteria. no seasoning at all, just a flavorless and strange mystery paste on top of prepackaged tube biscuits. Some people may like it that way(old people) just not for me. the ai generated character on the menu is off putting and slightly disturbing to say the least.

Chicken fried steak!

Great diner! Pappy himself stopped at the table to say hi. Chicken fried steak steak with eggs and hash browns were excellent. The gravy was tasty but not heavily seasoned. True diner decorations rounded out breakfast nicely

Returning from a Wilsonville errand, got the hankering for a pancake and looked up my Yelp help to divert to Pappy's! It's easy to miss on the 2nd Ave as it's hidden on the side of a white building around the corner from the Jui Jitsu club. Crane your neck after that first building and eyeball the American Flag next to a built-up wall sign, Holly Street MALL that looks like only office names would appear, and it's the first door on the right. Prices can't be beat even with the $2.00 increase on Entrees and $1.00 Sides and lotsa home made goodies like the corned beef hash, pork sausage patties, biscuits, etc and lots to choose from and I overheard Pumpkin Bread is on deck! Menus are laminated so you'll see handwritten signs on the front door and inside to notify you of the price increase. THE GRUB Hubby loved loved his sirloin steak about 12oz just $12.50, rare as ordered with nice char grill marks still, sunny eggs, browns, house biscuit and just can't wait to return! Waitress sold me on the Dog Leg $11.00, 2 house sausage patties and eggs (poached soft one was little clear but didn't have to send back) and opted for red home fries which were well seasoned and grilled, so much so hubby ate many when his fork typically turns away! With English Muffin, it was food overload (winge) to add a $4 pancake that I REALLY wanted but tabled for next trip.. COFFEE $2.00 is not bad, like a Farmers Bros brew, forgot to ask..hot and plentiful and stays hot in the standard mugs they use, yes! Those other common off-white concave ones in many breakfast houses just lose heat way too quickly. DECOR is old school black & white checker floor and red diner Coca Cola all about, and the waitress blends in with her tall beehive! Service is attentive and no nonsense but nice enough :D we'll be back!

This morning my family and I were in the mood for breakfast and didn't want to go to a classic chain restaurant. I ended up finding Pappy's on Yelp and instantly knew that we had to go. From the second you walk in you get a cozy diner and old vintage decor. That right there I knew we found a winner. Staff was friendly and attentive. The food was tasty and those homemade biscuit were AMAZING. I definitely recommend Pappy's and I look forward to going back.

The food matches the restaurant name. Service was good. Pappy, the owner walked the floor and chatted with all of the patrons.

Wonderful diner where Pappy himself may greet you at your table and make sure you're happy.

Review: Legit Smashburgers and a Gem of an Atmosphere!…read moreRating: We had a fantastic Saturday night at Poundtown Smashburger! The cart is perfectly situated at the end of the pod near a cozy outdoor heater, which was exactly what we needed for a chilly January evening. As the wife of a "social media burger celebrity," I can confirm these are legit smashburgers. For those who don't know, a proper smashburger isn't just a flat patty; it's a ball of fresh beef smashed once onto a screaming-hot griddle to trigger the Maillard reaction. This creates those signature "lacey" crispy edges and a deep caramelized crust while locking all the juices in the center. Our order was spot on: Double Smash with Bacon and Jalapeño: Perfectly seasoned with that aggressive sear we look for. OG Burgers: At $4.00, these are an absolute steal in 2026. No customizations needed--they are perfect as-is. The Bun: A major standout! It was a soft, locally sourced brioche that held up beautifully to the juicy patties without getting soggy. Beyond the food, the atmosphere at The Beer Library is incredible. The renovation of the old library is stunning--it's modern and cozy with a fantastic selection of brews. It truly feels like a neighborhood gem. All in all, a great experience and great service --we will definitely be back!

It was a little messy to eat so we had to use a fork but thats OK because the flavor was outstanding. The real star of the show were the wild fries. They remained crispy despite an abundance of cheese sauce, sweet grilled onions, and Riz sauce. They were f-ing delicious!! Great spot and even better name!!

Tatter tots, salad, onion rings, etc all come with extra charges. Menu is confusing. Service: they are under staffed in dining room. The bar workers, when get a break come into dining room to take order, deliver food, deliver ticket (only when asked). Original waitress was pleasant, friendly and very nice to work with. Bartender who took payment was rude and inadequate. Asked for to go boxes, and a to go cup. She said no problem. Never received to go cup. Was dining with another person and both our tickets were over charged! I left small 10% tip which I hoped would go to my original waitress but I doubted it thus why small. Ambiance: nice neighborhood bar. If the servie would of been better would return. After over charges and attitude, we will not be back.

How have I not known about Canard? What a gem in our city!…read more First, the decor was lovely. I was in awe of the dried flower bouquet on that wall. I booked on OpenTable and added a note that my mother needed a wall to place her crutches against, and they gave us 2 options. Very kind of them, and the gentleman helped my mother get situated. Service was exceptional. Food menu seemed light but enough of a variety to choose from, and it all was absolutely delicious. Had the drink School for Ants which the taste was of perfection. For lunch we shared the pears and goat cheese which by far was my favorite dish. Also ordered the ricotta gnocchi which I thought the bourguignon was a little strong but I believe that's normal, so it's just my personal preference. The Tokyo hot chicken tenders were tender and juicy, and the honey and sauce paired well together. Shout out to the staff that brought our forgotten to go box to our car.
