    Hamburger and curly fries

This unassuming 50's diner in Hubbard is a must stop. They're serving up great burgers, fries, and shakes. Inside you're surrounded by 50's decor. Been here a few times now and they've never disappointed. The service here is always great. If you find yourself in Hubbard or just wanting to go for a drive, this is a must stop.

Probably one of the worst Burgers we've ever had, and it was supposed to be the Deluxe.. unbelievably thin burger, overcooked and more lettuce on the bun than anything else.. fries were just okay, nothing special. BUT...absolutely the most amazing waitress, who never stopped moving.. (blonde, highlight in the front). Clam chowder was okay, but couldn't find any clams.

We had heard great things about the burgers here so we made the trek to try them out. We were not disappointed! We love local diner style restaurants! Be patient when you arrive here. You have to wait your turn to order and the food is made to order. Yes, you'll have to wait a bit but it's totally worth it. The burgers and fries are very simple but full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Traditional toppings of lettuce, tomatoes, relish and sauces are added. FYI: If you're not a sweet pickle fan skip the relish. I'm a dill pickle lover but not a huge fan of the sweet pickles so I would have left that off if I had known. Even with the relish it was still delicious! Do NOT skip the fry sauce though. It's a must have to go with those old school tots to give them that throw back flavor. We loved the hand written "Thank you" on the brown bags and the candies added to the bag too. This place is totally worth the trip for a great burger and we'll be stopping in again when we cruise through town.

Double burger with tots and potato salad - bicyclists love the carb loading!

Route 99E travels through the towns of the fertile Willamette Valley. Some have grown up into Portland bedroom communities since. About 10 years ago someone went crazy on an old roadside diner theme. They have probably every Betty Boop item, metal car models, old license plates, reproduction gas pumps and an old juke box. That lands them a place on my Museum of Oddities List. The food is classic diner: breakfast all day, burgers, sandwiches, shakes. They have tater tots, which were invented in Oregon. The burger with tots and potato salad is very inexpensive. It's not really spiced - so it also is added to my bland list. The staff was nice. They have a carry out window under an awning. We saw many bicyclists using it on a Summer day.

I love little burger places like this and this one certainly didn't disappoint. I got the burger basket and it came with fries (or tots) and cole slaw (or I think salad). Fries were good, and I enjoyed the cole slaw. Burger was just what I expected. Staff was super friendly. Definitely worth the stop!

I will never understand New Math.

Cute 1960 cafe. A little high in price but the food is good. Parking can be tight as the parking lot is not very big

Locally owned favorite. Every time we come to the area to visit family, I like to stop in for great food, especially a malt.

Review: Legit Smashburgers and a Gem of an Atmosphere!…read moreRating: We had a fantastic Saturday night at Poundtown Smashburger! The cart is perfectly situated at the end of the pod near a cozy outdoor heater, which was exactly what we needed for a chilly January evening. As the wife of a "social media burger celebrity," I can confirm these are legit smashburgers. For those who don't know, a proper smashburger isn't just a flat patty; it's a ball of fresh beef smashed once onto a screaming-hot griddle to trigger the Maillard reaction. This creates those signature "lacey" crispy edges and a deep caramelized crust while locking all the juices in the center. Our order was spot on: Double Smash with Bacon and Jalapeño: Perfectly seasoned with that aggressive sear we look for. OG Burgers: At $4.00, these are an absolute steal in 2026. No customizations needed--they are perfect as-is. The Bun: A major standout! It was a soft, locally sourced brioche that held up beautifully to the juicy patties without getting soggy. Beyond the food, the atmosphere at The Beer Library is incredible. The renovation of the old library is stunning--it's modern and cozy with a fantastic selection of brews. It truly feels like a neighborhood gem. All in all, a great experience and great service --we will definitely be back!

It was a little messy to eat so we had to use a fork but thats OK because the flavor was outstanding. The real star of the show were the wild fries. They remained crispy despite an abundance of cheese sauce, sweet grilled onions, and Riz sauce. They were f-ing delicious!! Great spot and even better name!!
