We decided to stop in while using the Tesla chargers around the corner. We got a wedge salad and steak and Shrooms. We got drinks as well that were exceptional. The old fashioned is one of the best I've ever had. Food was really good. I really enjoyed the wedge salad. Pretty cool place for a nightcap. We walked in for a cold beer after dinner. There's a main bar area which also serves as a restaurant/pub. Full bar which is great. They also have dance floor in the other room for later in the evening. We grabbed a table outside to enjoy the evening and people watch. Also, they were setting up a taco cart which was great. I ordered the Cottage Pie for $30. Very pricey for quality of the food. A small amount of mashed potato on the bottom, peas, carrots, celery and onion. Seemed to be of the canned variety. Leftover prime rib as the meat. Not very lean. This was more of a soup with goopy mash covered with a large puff pastry. Doubt I would order again. I went about 3:30 and the place was an average noise level. By the time a left, just after 4:30 it was too loud to think. The service was stellar. Racist bartenders. I'm a white guy but they refused service to my Cuban American friend, who were of legal age, not intoxicated, or inappropriate in any way. I went up to the bar and made the same request as he did and the bartender immediately fulfilled the order. We're all educated professionals in our 50's, not college kids or people trying to make trouble. I made a formal complaint to the manager but I'm not sure how much impact that will have. Btw, we had already spent about $200 on dinner in the restaurant before I learned about the incident at the bar. Just had the worst experience in which the bartender was extremely rude and racist to my group. Two of the people in the group ordered seltzer and two ordered 1 drink each. He stopped serving the group for absolutely no reason. No one acted over served and there was no conflict. We had dinner here last night and it was a blast! Delicious bar food, great drinks (I love my cocktail), and the service was absolutely outstanding. We had the fish and chips in the twice baked potato skins. Vithe exceeded our expectations. Everyone we encountered the entire evening, from the host initially, to the wait staff, was incredibly friendly! Originally I was hoping for a smoking patio (vacation indulgences as they are) but they don't allow that any longer so we just opted for a quiet drink and a nice meal (though you can enjoy a cig down the way at Pine Street Saloon, the local dive bar which I highly recommend! Nice back patio). Back to the pub!! We were there early evening on a Friday and it slowly picked up. The noise was what you would expect for a bar on a weekend night. Nothing over the top. The bartender was a total professional and hawk-eyed on your drink level as well as ensuring anyone who walked in was taken care of immediately by another staffer. Went for the Prime Dip sandwich which was a delectable take on a traditional French Dip - the meat was TENDER, and then just the right amount of onion jam and cheese... My wife got a cup of clam chowder. The tacos were outstanding, the chili above average, and the chowder was solid, but a little too rich for my taste. Good beers on tap, but an automatic 20% gratuity charge (for a party of six) was a little too steep. Our waitress was great, but I'm not a big fan of any automatic gratuity charge. A good waitress/waiter could possibly get more than 20% from me, but I never add on if I'm already automatically charged. Gratuity should be an incentive, not automatic. read more

Just happened across this place when we came downtown to visit some shops. We were able to snag two seats at the bar right away around 1pm on Saturday. Classic Irish pub vibe and really nice bartenders. I asked them how their corned beef was made and it seemed safe for me (celiac). I cannot explain how AMAZING the corned beef tacos were. No cross contamination issues for me. I visit the area yearly and will be coming back for those tacos every time. My friend had the fish and chips and really liked them too. read more

Wow ! Where do I start... first come in and ask to buy a round of shots for a wedding party THAT WE CALLED AHEAD ABOUT . They act like it's a favor to serve us and sell alcohol. First off they ask if a bridesmaid has shoes on. If they spend 30 seconds watching instead of assuming they would see that the lady had flip flops on and was carrying her heels. Then when you don't think it could get worse , we have a diabetic in our group who they wouldn't serve orange juice to help her regulate blood sugar. Wow I am a big advocate for small business but this proves with the wrong captain , you ship will sink. Host was friendly and routed us thru the crowd being careful with my need as I am using a cane. Waiter was very friendly. I had the meatloaf dinner. Very tasty meatloaf on a bed of mashed potatoes. with grilled asperagas and carrots on the side. Veggies were fresh and crisp. My wife had the Pub burger with garlic fries.
