We ordered pizza through the online app and delivery driver explained they messed up on sizing and that he would only charge us for a medium, however when I brought the pizza inside it was missing chicken. Nothing to remember other then undercooked pizza with a million kids running around. It's a old pizza joint, very popular, but the pizza stinks. It needs a good 5-7 minutes more in the oven, I swear the cheese was barely melted and the dough was still raw"ish" and no this wasn't a off day. The olives were barely cooked on multiple pizza orders. And the prices, it's a big pizza but seriously 28$ + for a large crappy pizza. I'm always surprised that places like this still crank in customers. I would want sh that the owners would realize how mediocre it is, but they probably won't. I am so disappointed in this restaurant chain. I attended a fundraising event in March and the counter person was clueless as to how it worked. I tried asking questions about the fundraiser and about the menu and the person at the counter didn't have answers and seemed incapable of helping. I finally ordered a take out order, making sure they knew I had to go. The pizza was sent for dine in. I filled out the customer comment card and left it at the counter in hopes that they could maybe explain the fundraising protocol and improve guest experience. A few weeks later a letter arrived in my mailbox with a gift card stating that my comment card was drawn for the month and I won the monthly prize of the enclosed gift card. I thought that maybe I was too hasty in my judgement and someone was just having an off day. I figured I would use the gift card and give them another try. Nice one, Papa's Pizza, the gift card was blank. I can see that this place is all about misinformation and playing games. I supported this fundraiser to help a family friend raise funds for a funeral...in the future I will gift the money directly. This has been the worst experience I have had with a business since moving here 10 years ago. If you wanted to add insult to injury, well you succeeded. I can not believe a business could be so thoughtless and deliberately malicious. Please train your counter people to answer questions, know the promotions as well as the menu, to make orders carry out and dine in appropriate and to accept constructive criticism (per your own provided comment card, so it can be addressed privately to avoid confrontation and embarrassment to your obviously uninformed counter person). I've been a Papa's customer since 1975 so believe me when I say I've eaten a whole lot of their pizza & salad. Prices have gone up, up, up & quality & service has gone down, down, down. Delivery works ok but even that has gotten really sketchy. Most recently we went to this Papa's on W 11th last night & will not be back to this location, ever! My family and I eat here regularly and are consistently pleased. tonight they were busy. after wating 40 minutes for a pizza that was supposed to take 20, we were told it would take 30 more. the manager lady on duty was extremely rude and snappy when we explained our upsetedness. furthermore she wouldnt give her name, why? guess what? This is by far the worst value for the price of any restaurant I have ever eaten at. The pizza crust tastes like cardboard, you could not make sauce more bland even if you simply opened a can, the salad bar is $4 for a plate the size of a teacup saucer. And the drinks are $2 for a 10 cent child's cup (the kind most places give away for free). The children's play area has that detestable bacteria/pee smell you all parents are acquainted with if you have frequented a large daycare or nursery. This is also compounded by the fact many parents turn their hooligan like kids to run roughshod over any mild-mannered child who is taught to have a minimal amount of self control. I love coming here when they have their lunch buffet special! I have gone to this papas pizza and the one in Springfield and this one seems to be a lot more clean and for the lunch buffet it seems to have better pizza out. This review is based solely on delivery service - I have never been in any of the stores. I was very excited they had a gluten-free crust! So that was fine. I wouldn't say it was delicious, but what gluten-free crust is?! At least I could have pizza with friends when we all order in. I would have much preferred almost any pizza compared to this, but again - they do have the gluten-free option. The thing that was most astonishing was that for two pizzas it was $46 - I'm sure there were delivery charges in there, but I do not like to be surprised at the door! That was ah-mazing. My husband and I drive by this restaurant numerous times and we always say we want to try it. We went in for their lunch buffet. This was probably the worst pizza buffet I've ever had. The crust was tasteless, the sauce was like tomato paste, and that salad bar lettuce was super brown and wilted. We got there as soon as they opened for lunch so everything should have been fresh and delicious. Sadly, it was not. It took 30 minutes in an empty restaurant to get 2 small pizzas made , they called me up to the counter, where they had left my food unattended, and there were two metal pans too hot to touch and no way to carry them . I ordered online and was very satisfied with the process of the website. They had many categories for each individual thing and had many options for different ingredients. The check out process for ordering online and delivery was very easy, as well and even had the option to have it made and delivered at a future time, which was very helpful, especially if someone works certain times of the day. I ended up ordering incorrectly, (having a migraine will mess with you!), and received a courtesy phone call from a worker from the pizza parlor and explained how it worked and I thanked her. Wish I had gotten her name. When my order was correct to what I wanted, she fixed the order and we ended the call. I originally ordered for the order to be delivered where I work by 1:55 PM and it arrived exactly on time from a nice gentleman, who handed me everything with a smile on his face. Papa's pizza is the best I've ever had! try the taco pizza or the bbq pizza for something different. (they don't use the bottled bbq sauce). Crispy Crust just perfect.
