I think they were either in shift change or just really short staffed?!? Unsure. We got a water and a Diet Coke. The Diet Coke was horrible. No taste, literally looked like brown water. No carbonation, no coke flavor. We did tell them so they could check there machine. She did check and brought be another one with less ice in it to help with the flavor?! Said the machine was fine. Second one tasted just as nothing like, but it's not a big deal, I didn't want to make it a bigger deal than it was. The gal did come back and ask if it was better and said I wasn't the first person to bring this up. We ordered the Mary's chicken sandwich and the Italian sandwich. SO GOOD! The fries were also very good. 8/10 overall. The chicken sandy could've used pickles but other than that amazing! Will we definitely be back for breakfast, that side of the menu looked insane! So really my only issues were we could smell the people smoking outside in the back area which really sucked. The bathroom was gross AF. I'm sorry but I don't think I've seen a more tore up bathroom at a restaurant before. Loved Pat's Café for Years -- It's Not the Same Under New Owners…read more Pat's Café was one of my absolute go-to spots for years -- I've been going since around 2005-2006. My mom, grandmother, and I all had our favorites there, especially the stir-fry beef dish and the classic corned beef hash the original owners served straight from the can (cooked just right). It felt like a reliable neighborhood restaurant with solid, consistent American-style dishes. Since the new owners took over, the consistency and quality have slipped badly. Dishes now come out differently almost every time. The Pad Thai toppings are sometimes mixed on top, sometimes served on the side like an afterthought, and extras appear or disappear randomly. It was noticeable but not a deal-breaker on its own. On one visit I ordered the country fried steak. There was a fairly large, hard piece of plastic in the meat. I bit down on it hard enough that it could have easily cut my gums or mouth if I hadn't noticed. I showed it to the server, and the only response I got was that they buy the country fried steaks from a vendor, so it wasn't something they made in-house. No apology, no offer to remake the dish, no discount -- nothing. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and returned for another meal. That next visit (or the one shortly after) became the final straw. I ordered the green curry. Eggplant is a major ingredient that adds essential flavor and texture to every bite -- right alongside your choice of protein (chicken, beef, etc.). I ate several bites before realizing there was none in the entire dish. When I mentioned it, the waitress simply said they had run out. They never disclosed the missing ingredient when I ordered or before serving the dish, and they didn't offer any adjustment, remake, discount, or comp. They just served an incomplete meal and charged full price. The lack of basic customer service on both visits was shocking and felt disrespectful. Finding a foreign object in your food should at minimum get a sincere apology and an offer to make it right. When a key ingredient is missing, the restaurant should let you know upfront so you can decide whether to order something else. On top of that, beloved items have disappeared or changed for the worse. The stir-fry beef my family loved is gone from the menu. The original corned beef hash was replaced with an in-house shredded version that just isn't as good. The place even seems to be going by a second name now (Phuket Thai) alongside Pat's Café, which adds to the confusion. I'm really sad about this because I genuinely loved the old Pat's. The new version just doesn't feel like the same welcoming neighborhood spot anymore. If you never knew the original, you might still find some decent meals, but for longtime fans, the changes -- and especially how both of these situations were handled -- make it hard to recommend. I've stopped going and am now looking for a new regular place. Hope the owners read this and consider bringing back more consistency, better food safety practices, and better communication when ingredients run out.

Huge parking lot since this looks to be an up and coming event center considering the business also does catering. We were quickly greeted by a very friendly and informative lady. We chose to try both of the Chef's Specials, Taco Salad and Thai Noodles. We also opted for dessert, Meyer Lemon Cheesecake with Rhubarb Apple Compote and Bourbon Pecan Balls. After checkout we were given some buzzer and picked a table to sit down at. There is indoor seating and outdoor seating. Being that the weather was being bipolar we sat inside near the window, which was beautiful after the clouds cleared. Our food was ready after not too long. Although we chose to eat there our food was still packaged in to go containers. It is nice to have the to go containers as most people might have leftovers, but we would have liked to seen reusable tableware. The Taco Salad was different than most others I have had. The chicken was nicely grilled. The tortilla strips were very thin and appeared to be hand cut then fried, making for a nice crunch. The cheese was grated farmhouse style. I did kind of expect that the housemade salsa would be served with this, but it had a cream lime dressing. The salad was a good size. Addition of avocado would have been divine. The Thai noodles were non traditional. The lemon grass was a bit on the heavy side. The overall flavor could use a little more adjusting and the noodles were a little chewy, but over all--fresh tasting. The cheesecake was good. The crust was okay. What really made it was the Meyer Lemon. The Rhubarb Apple Compote was good, not much Rhubarb flavor--but it was sweet and spicy. The Bourbon Pecan Balls seemed a little dry--or maybe it was trying to cut into them with disposable forks, not sure. There wasn't much of a bourbon flavor, but the pecans were there. Not bad. Would go well with coffee. They also sell housemade items to take home like salsa, vinaigrette, dips, etc. Lots of yummy looking bakery items, like small cakes and cookies. They have some alcoholic beverages that are sold by the can. We did notice that the way the tables are made that food crumbs gets stuck in the crevices--which overtime could become pretty gross...hoping they can find a way to keep the tables cleaner. There wasn't a designated spot for the restaurant, but there was a huge gravel/dirt lot just on the outskirts of the main lot. We parked there since we had a trailer with a car on it. Its maybe about a minute walk to the main building where the restaurant was at. AMBIANCE/SERVICE It was 4th of July and the front had maybe 8-10 salesmen all lined up to greet customers. It was a little intimidating when we walked up since we weren't looking to buy a car, but the one closest to us understood we weren't interested and he helped direct us to the restaurant. Not much for ambiance. It is just like any other dealership. No special decor. Just a few lounge chairs, massage chairs, TV, and a brand new 2026 Toyota Tacoma parked next to the dining area for you to look at. The counter where you order at is fairly small. You just walk up, order, they give you a number, then you just grab a seat somewhere. There have limited seating near the counter, but you can opt out to sit at the tables by the front window where the display vehicles are. The staff was friendly and the food didn't take long to arrive. FOOD I ordered the breakfast pizza. I've had breakfast pizzas before, but this one is a little different. It comes with a biscuit crust instead of a typical pizza dough. Then it's topped with normal breakfast toppings like bacon, sausage, ham, cheese, and 2 fried eggs. The eggs aren't scrambled and mixed into all the fixings like others I've had, but I didn't mind this. This also had sausage gravy which I don't typically see on a breakfast pizza, but I enjoyed it. The gravy and the eggs helped balance out the saltiness of everything else. I enjoyed this version of a breakfast pizza with the biscuit crust, but it was a little too heavy for one person. I ended up sharing about half of it. I can definitely finish it, but I won't be moving for a while. The coffee was pretty standard. I also wasn't wanting anything too fancy, so it was exactly what I needed. OVERALL I enjoyed this place and I would come back. At the time, I didn't realize it was the same business as the location in Lakewood, which I've ordered from in the past on DoorDash. I've been meaning to check it out in person.
