We tried their wraps here and it was decent. They had a long line but it moved quickly. It seems popular The wraps was good and it came with a side of potato salad. Its a good place to stop by if you're in the farmers market as they have other food options like sandwiches. read more

After 30 years, still making the coffee and morning experience tons of fun! They also serve Dancing Goats coffee but if you're heading to the Olympia Farmers Market anyway, then save your Dancing Goats experience for another day and come and support this fun coffee kiosk at the market. LOTS of food options, too, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle inspired entrees. They may not have a creative coffee menu but they cover are the basic espresso drinks and have lots of flavor choices. read more

I noticed Heyday Cafe at the Olympia Farmer's Market with a bit of a line so I joined to check out the menu. The "More Than A Filling" waffle sounded good to me so I went ahead and ordered that. Customer service was great and the waffle came out within 5 or so minutes. There's a self serve utensil/condiment/water area. They accept cash and card (70 cent service fee for cards though). I didn't order coffee, but they have a nice coffee menu along with $2 drip coffee that is self serve. The waffle itself was pretty average.. the toppings saved it and made it delicious though. I would love to come back to try more of their huge menu out one day. read more

Overpriced for the quality of the food--moved here from Philly a couple of months ago and have been craving a corner store breakfast sandwich. I paid $8 for a Thomas' bagel (grocery store) with a craft single cheese, bacon, and egg sandwich. Absolutely absurd. read more

A cute, yummy cafe that's right beside the Olympia farmers market entrance. On an absolutely pouring day, having a warm breakfast hit the spot. For a to go box, there is a charge for them, but the items are packaged very nicely. As seen in the pictures, the paper underneath kept the box from getting soggy and the cream is packaged individually to keep the Belgian waffle nice and tidy. Syrup is packaged by yourself in a separate small condiment container. Each order was made fresh (about a 3-5 minute wait) and definitely showed in the taste! The Hot Mess had perfectly crispy hash browns that as complemented by the slightly melted cheese and creamy country gravy. The sausage patty helped add a nice salty flavor too! Overall was very tasty and made wonderfully. It wasn't that oily or salty, yet the items were fried to a delightful crispiness and the gravy was the perfect texture. As seen, it did not drain through the paper and held its shape. Oh wow, the Belgian waffle was great too. At first, I wasn't a fan of the cream underneath the strawberries, but the waffle had a salty kick to it! I was surprised by the saltiness and realized the tartness of the strawberries, the sweet cream, and the condiment toppings are really what balanced the salty Belgian waffle into a very heartwarming dish. The waffle was dense, crispy, and chewy! It's filling in its own right but it's manageable to try another entree eat along with it. Price wise it's pretty affordable! Two dishes for about $15 with the packaging expenses included. For people that are in the farmers market looking for a filling meal, I definitely recommend trying HeyDay. Unfortunately, the folks working here are pretty mean-spirited. We visited, excited to enjoy their breakfast, and were met with our breakfast choice (from their menu) being questioned multiple times (we wanted a side in addition to the menu item and I'm not sure why that posed such a problem) and when we decided to just change our order and needed a moment to decide what else to choose, were immediately met with a harsh "Well, what do you want?" from the order-taker and the barista glaring at us. We've eaten there before and were met with general ambivalence, which was fine, but the way we were treated this last time makes this a no return place for us. read more

The cashier was friendly, that's why they got two stars. Ordered a sandwich that was supposed to have turkey and bacon on it. There was no turkey. They fixed. It without too much trouble but how do you forget one of the main ingredients on a sandwich? The bread was also very dry and stale. The potato salad tasted nice, but my stomach started hurting about ten minutes after eating. This was my first meal of the day so this is the only thing that could have caused it. I ordered a latte and a chai tea, both with almond milk substitutes. The chai tea is on the sweet side but is very pleasant. They have food and drinks for everybody, and they were happy to make my orders dairy free! This is a great way to start adventuring in the Olympia farmer's market- their menu is both informative and entertaining-we loved the names they had for their foods. I was very happy with our food from this little farmer's market spot! We also ordered the peach milkshake, some smoothies, a lox bagel, waffles, and my Jumpin Jack Hash (see photo). The peach milkshake was OK, nothing to shout about, but worth a try if you really wanted it. I was very happy with my caramel latte. The hash and lox bagel apparently looked so good, during our meal, a few different people interrupted us to ask where we got our food and which items they were. HIGHLY recommend this spot. I can understand that during their BUSY hours, things might be different and service may not be as great (based on other reviews), but this was a great spot. We felt really happy with the customer service and super satisfied with our meals. DEFINITE spot to hit up when you're looking for something a little different. :) read more

I've been here twice with my dad. It's located within the farmer's market and serves a wide variety of food but they're probably best known for their breakfast items. I had their biscuits and gravy and although I thought this was going to be little, it left me stuffed. There are benches along the side and in front of the stage and you can hear them call your name as you're waiting for your food. It's a nice little spot for entertainment with the family. read more

I think the earlier you come to the Farmer's Market the better the food is. Once the lines start up, you are doomed to hurried workers trying to sling food as fast as they can in hot cramped booths. So with that in mind, I came early and had a waffle. Yes, the smiley waffle plate picture was my breakfast on a Sunday around 9am. Everything was good, the ends tender, and the bacon hard and crispy like I like it, rather like a giant bacon jerky. My waffle was crispy and tender inside. The butter was buttery. The ice tea was fresh. My only thoughts as I sat and thoughtfully waited for breakfast was they have WAYYYY too many choices of entree for a small food booth. Just the sheer amount of switching and foods they have to have on hand must be insane to manage. But on the upside, must be great for picky people who are afraid of ethnic food or seafood. This is about customer service not the product. Went on a busy Sunday morning. They lady taking orders and the guy making coffee were super nice, no complaints there. The lady handing out food at the pick up window is a different story - she was super rude. She called my name to pick up my order. Prior to reaching in the window to get my order I asked for napkins. She continued working so naturally I thought maybe she didn't hear me so asked again, which prompted the response "ITS RIGHT THERE UNDER YOUR NAPKIN". The tone of her statement wasn't one of "I am speaking loudly so you can hear me" it was more demeaning than anything. This was very off putting thus making me have a negative experience. I get that you're busy doing your job but customer service doesn't stop after you've made the food. I wasn't the only person she was rude to. One order they called a few times didn't come to pick up their food immediately so she proceeded to yell loudly to pick up and that their food was getting cold - which to some of the people in line it was funny but others just looked at each other with raised eyebrows. I also later learned from my significant other (who was eating in the dining area next to the shop at the time) that all the people that were eating stopped and looked around when she yelled trying to figure out if there was an altercation in the market, no one was amused. Terrible service and very disorganized. They claimed 5-10 minutes to make my sandwich; it turned out to be almost 30. ( and this was after waiting 15 min in line to order). Their process for orders is terrible, and most of their items they were having to cut slices because they ran out of pre peeped items. The potato salad comes out of a box. The one guy then got pissy with a woman after she told them the time she had been waiting and would have to come back. I even saw a guy scooping a sauce with a teaspoon to add into a bottle. There is no way this place should be rated high on Yelp. They were sold out of a few items I wanted, so I settled for the pork and coleslaw. The pork also clearly came from a pre-packaged bag. I don't make it to the Farmer's Market in Olympia nearly as often as I'd like, but every time I do I find myself at Hey Day for several reasons. The food is delicious and filling. I have tried most of their awesome sand wiches or wraps with fun names like Wrapper's Delight or Heart of Gold (my personal favorite with grilled pineapple, bacon and ham with cream cheese served on your choice of a bagle or bread) and they also have great vegan/vegetarian options. They are without a doubt the best at making my weird iced Chai requests or great B&B coffee when I need a boost. All of the staff there is really fun and friendly to everyone, and the prices are super reasonable! I ( not to mention I am weird about food prep, and so appreciate that you can see they are very clean.) I absolutely LOVE Hey Day Café and highly recommend any Farmer's Market enthusiast to go and enjoy their treats! read more
