Absolutely delicious! Temecula doesn't have a wide variety of options outside of your typical American fare and chain restaurants which is disappointing and leaves me skeptical of restaurants outside of these norms as they really haven't been very good compared to other more diverse areas. Papafeta however is so good! The hummus is some of the best I've ever had, the Greek salad was perfectly balanced between cheese, lettuce, onions, dressing etc, the chicken was perfectly cooked, the rice was on point and the gyros were sliced perfectly. Ambiance is okay - kind of feels like outdated farmhouse which doesn't fit the cuisine and their chairs are sooo uncomfortable. This is on the pricier side and the service is so-so and a bit slow in terms of getting anything more than a small glass of water or the check but otherwise this place is great! read more

This might just be our new favorite Mediterranean spot in Temecula. The baba ganoush and hummus were the best I've had. Moist and full of flavor. The pita bread was freshly made. Our plates were huge - they're over $20 a plate but they definitely don't skimp on the portion sizes. You get your money's worth. My wife had the filet kabob and it was tender and seasoned well. I had the big plate that came with a variety of meats, but the best out of the bunch was the gyro meat IMO. I honestly wasn't expecting much but it blew me away with its flavor. My first visit and I will definitely go back! My friend and I are both vegetarians and easily found and ordered 4 things on the menu and shared them; all were really good. We tried the Greek salad, hummus, spanakopita and falafel. The server asked if we wanted to try the bread and cucumbers with the hummus and it was the perfect addition to our shared lunch. Papafeta is one of my favorite eats in Temecula. Anything you order from here is delicious. If you order the bureg, my favorite was cheese and potato (very similar taste to a samosa). We have gotten their catering trays numerous times and they never disappoint. I do wish they had a family salad option that was a reasonable addition to the tray, but not a huge problem. Seymour was amazing, the staff is so hospitable and make you feel like family. The food was cooked to perfection, so many flavors and the presentation was amazing. The aesthetic of the restaurant is modern and the food is authentic. The restaurant is very clean, you can see a little into the kitchen and it looks clean, the bathroom and dining area is too! Was looking for some lunch and stumbled upon this gem, initially we walked in & sat down.. the female server waiting tables this day ignored us for about 10 minutes, I'm not sure what the issue was but she served everyone that came after us ... After a while we were getting ready to leave and a male server finally came to to us very friendly and willing to serve us! He explained the menu to us and made a few suggestions on what to get. The food was very fresh and hot ! I have no complaints over the food! Very good!! First time there. Easy to find in center near Sees Candy. Impressive amount of food being prepared and everything looked delicious. Got takeout of Gyros sandwich. Got it home and still hot. Unwrapped it and the meat started falling out there was so much. Took a little bite and oh my, I was transported back to Crete having my first bite ever of a gyros. Definitely brought a smile. The seasonings was pure Greek! It was wonderful. And the onion and tomatoes were cooked also. The provided 3 small containers of sauce. Two tzatziki and one I don't know what but loved it. The sandwich comes with a choice of side and I opted for the Greek salad. Romaine lettuce, a thick cucumber, olive, onion. Sorry but the dressing was not a win for me. Too much vinegar that made me cough and eyes water. Will see if they have another one, if not use my own. Oh, service was great. Nice nice people! Would I go back again? You better believe it! The fries were the cheaper batter type rather than a real potato fry. The sauces were very good. The bread was absolutely fantastic.
