Papa's Pizzeria is a gem that my wife and I found out in Wadsworth....... Great pizza , great service and the over the top antique shop decor of the place makes it a really fun spot to have dinner and take in the super cool unique and funky (in a good way) atmosphere!! Chef Bryan was a very personable guy, loved his passion for his food , his establishment and how much of his inspiration comes from honoring his fathers legacy, you can see it and feel it just talking to him. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and it was great , loved how super thin and crispy the crust was. We also ordered the fried artichoke hearts and they were nicely seasoned and served with a marinara dipping sauce!! Gotta save some room for dessert and the house made cannoli , crisp outside with rich and creamy filling....A+ The restaurant is filled with antiques, collectibles, sports memorabilia, taxidermy, toys, photos of family and friends , along with an upstairs antique museum, a pool hall/arcade room across the courtyard and another building loaded with antiques!! The courtyard has old signage and antique lanterns everywhere, lots to see and enjoy. The cool part about all of the eye candy is that you can actually buy most of the antiques displayed throughout the property if the price is right!! Great spot with a great down home vibe, you will leave feeling like you just made a new friend in Bryan and that he just invited you over to his house for a great home made pizza dinner and let you browse his antique collection while you were waiting!!Love to see someone doing something unique because you are passionate about it and I can tell that honoring your fathers legacy is important to you and that makes Papa's extra special..... Stopped in with my son based on the ratings and realized this place was a bit... unexpected. It felt more like an old, cavernous antique shop that happened to have a pizza oven tucked inside. We were the only customers at the time, which added to the unique vibe. We ordered the "Triple Stuffed Pepperoni Crust" to-go, and honestly, that was a miss. The center of the pizza was soggy and doughy--definitely not what we were hoping for. In hindsight, we probably should have stuck with a classic pepperoni. That said, Erica, our server, was great. Super friendly, easy to talk to, and she took the time to tell us about the area, which made the stop worthwhile despite the food not hitting the mark. Appreciate the hospitality. read more

I don't think yelp can even let me add as many photos as I think this place needs to truly capture how cool it is. They have an arcade, pool table, and a museum. The food is expensive on the weekends lol, but they have great deals throughout the week. I can't believe this place isn't more popular! There was no one there when we went on a Saturday night. I've been here a handful of times over the years. It's on the pricey side so I save it for a special reason. It's always been good and high quality. I just ordered 3 pizza's for a gathering of friends at our house recently. I have always ordered the triple pepperoni but this time it was over baked by a lot yet also mushy. Not sure how that happens. It's always been a very pretty pizza to look at and eat but not this time. Disappointing since I got it to show off for a gathering of friends (all from out of town). The honey chicken bbq pizza was ok, which we had never got before. The Marguerite pizza was still very good. Just overall disappointed with the money that we spent on 3 pizzas, over $100. read more

I've worked in and around Wadsworth for many years, and to be honest, I never realized this place was actually open until this month. With my wife coming down from Idaho to visit me while working, I made it a point to come here. We were the first customer that evening 3 weeks ago, and a young man welcomed us and told us we could sit anywhere. He was too young to grab me a beer and said he called "Papa" and told him we were there. Right then I wondered what experience we were about to have. The restaurant is a plethora of memorabilia, and it kept us quite engaged while we waited for the man called Papa. If you can get there early, do so so you can take it all in before the t gets crowded inside. There we sat when a larger than life individual passed by the window. I say this with great respect, and he reminded me of Brutus from the Popeye Cartoon with the first quick glance. In came Papa and greeted us with great enthusiasm. When I asked for a Coos light, he offered a Peroni. Of course, what better to have in an Italian based place. Now, my wife asked what kind of wine he had, and he answered with "Red, White, and Pink!" I cracked up and knew then he was a no nonsense type of guy. After all, this is not your stuffy nosed place, so leave that behind and you'll thoroughly enjoy the Ranch House. I read about how large the pizza was but was blown away by the size for just the two of us. Glad the motel had a fridge to enjoy leftovers at work for two days. The prices are on the higher side, but I've come to research that Papa donated money with each sell for a cause dear to his heart. The pizza was exceptional and we enjoyed every mouth watering bite. Papa offered us to try the wings as an appetizer, but we declined and glad we did. There would be no way we could have eaten all that food. The menu offers many other choices beyond pizza, so if I get the chance to come here again, I'll try something else. Papas Ranch House, in my opinion, is well worth the stop in an unusual small town most people most likely don't know of. If you're traveling I-80, you can get on and off at two places very easily with a quick side trip. There are a ton of things to see beyond the inside of the main building, so plan on spending some time to go upstairs and outside in the back. He opens at 3:30 on Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 on Friday, and 4:30 Tuesday to Thursday. CLOSED ON MONDAYS! read more

OMG!!, What better way to end a year than with a Pizza & a Canoli, or start the year, or for that matter anytime of the year. My GF and I were in Fernley and had seen this place before but didn't try it before(huge mistake). Well we tried it this time. We ordered a Pepperoni, Sausage, Jalapeño and Onion thin crust Pizza and it absolutely delicious. The sauce was really tasty and Papa knows his stuff. Ample and tasty toppings too! We also ordered a canoli and my GF is still raving about how good it was and saying she would go there just for the canoli. The Ranch House is an Americana Museum the really has to be seen. We walked around for about 20 minutes and marveled at Papa's collection. Our timing was perfect as the Pizza was just coming out of the oven. We drove back to the Hotel room and devoured half the Pizza with a beer each and then split the canoli. If you haven't been there yet. Go ASAP, you will not be disappointed. First time here, and so sad it took so long to get here! The ambiance, staff is so inviting and makes you feel like family, the outdoor cats that are as friendly as the staff. If you have the time, learn the rich history, or just take a look through all the rooms filled with artifacts, and you might even get some shopping done for that 'hard to find something for' person. Finally stopped at this place. We had seen the place and their signs on ocasional drives thru the are for over 2 years. At first glance it seems like an antique store, rare finds yard kinda place. We were not sure if the "pizza" sign was for real an indication that they had food inside or just another antique sign maybe up for sale. We ventured inside and yes, there was a bar and a waiter with some menus for pizza available. The place is in inundated with old finds, antiques, random stuff on the walls and so on. Definitely a lot of everything. We order a pepperoni and jalapeño pizza, for appetizer I had the garlic knots and cheese curds for my other party. Cannoli for dessert, the owner spoke very very highly of it. While we waited for the food, we walked around and got to take in a little of all the antiques they have all over the place. We even found the refrigerator where they keep the frozen pretzels next to the batteries, I guess they still believe the batteries should be kept in the refrigerator. Time for the food, the garlic knots were disappointing and definitely not even average amongst garlic knots. The cheese curds were....ok. The pizza was really good, good crust, good flavor and a real very enjoyable. We didn't finish the whole pizza so we had the rest to go. Cannoli was barely ok, the crust was flaky but rubbery at some spots and the cream didn't feel ricotta-ish enough for me. A little bland maybe. Service was friendly and warm, engaging us in conversation and talking us about most of the history about the place. I would come back and gave it a second try. read more

We stopped in again yesterday for the anti-pasta salad (which was beyond good the last time we were there) and our old favorite pizza, a garlic pizza. The pizza was good, but a little bit under cooked. I'd prefer a more cooked crust, and my wife reminded me that the last pizza we had there was the same. Wow.. we just randomly found this place by accident while desperately looking for food. This happened to be right off the freeway. Upon entering we were warmly greeted by the gal at the bar and the owner came out to have a nice little chit chat with our small group. We had a tour of the entire place. It is pretty magical!! My family decided to try "that pizza place in Wadsworth" for the first time tonight. My husband doesn't really like pizza so I thought I'd force him to eat it just for fun. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by the owner and his son, telling us to have a seat wherever we felt comfortable, suggesting beers to my husband while my son and I picked canned drinks from the cooler. The atmosphere is romantic meets comfortable. Looking at the menu I thought to myself okay, kinda pricy. Bryan went over all of the off menu items and talked about his specials. He described everything with passion and detail. When he told us how big the pizzas are, my mind instantly changed about the price. These things are huge. He described his thin crust that he lets rise a little so it's the perfect thickness without being thick or paper thin. He brought our 4 year old crayons and a coloring book to entertain himself. He spoke to us like he'd known us forever. He told us about himself and trying to perfect his dads recipes. The mozzarella pucks were delicious and the Margherita pizza was phenomenal. We can't wait to try all of the other items on the menu. Thanks again Bryan for a great dinner.
