Tortillas were fine, but the seasoning on the fillings felt off. All the salsas were pretty subpar and didn't add much. We ordered the al pastor fish taco, which was probably the best of the bunch (still nothing special). The regular pork al pastor tacos were cut into cubes instead of the traditional shaved style, and that made the meat overcooked and tough to chew. Overall it was an average experience. I am a fried shrimp and okra fan so this is my order. The shrimp was good but the crust came off easily when I dipped in the sauce and made me wonder if this was frozen shrimp. Either way it tasted GOODE. Love the okra and the serving size was huge and really GOODE. I also ordered iced tea which was refreshing and clean tasting. Once sat, our waitress acknowledged us about 3-5 minutes later. We ordered 2 waters, a coke and cheese sticks. The coke came first. The cheese sticks about 5 minutes later, then the water about 10 minutes later. Our waitress stopped by before the water got there to see if we were ready to order. We didn't even have water yet! The place was pretty busy. Our waitress just struggled to keep up with her tables. There was another waitress who was more experienced that jumped in and helped us. We finally were able to order our dinner. The cook, or someone, came out to tell us they were out of the cut of meat we ordered. This was a disappointment because we were here to celebrate my other half's birthday. So it wasn't off to a great start. We picked something else and by the time we got our food, it was cold. (Can you hear the heavy sigh?) The manager offered to take care of my meal, but I'm not about getting a free meal. I ended up letting him give us a discount. He was very nice and really tried to make things right. So, with all the things that went wrong, I am willing to give this place a try again.
