Showed up at 7:45 and they had no record of order then when confronted with confirmation they realized they just never looked at their own app and never made the pizza . Papas pizza is consistent. The pizza is fresh (obviously since you cook it at home) and the cheese bread is always a hit. I appreciate the service each time I make an order. We have picky eaters in our family - so every time I order online, I make a call right after to add a request - 1/2 Cowboy, 1/4 pep and pineapple and 1/4 cheese. They don't offer the 1/4 online - but the have ZERO issues accommodating our family's needs. Love the service. This is the best service for pizza we can count on in south Salem. Papa Murphys has gone downhill in the past three years. The sauce has lost all kick and doesn't have a tomato flavor at all. Toppings are minimal. I see half of the quantity of black olives, for example, and the pineappl e has been reduced to a reduced portion of poor quality, tiny bits compared to what was offered three years ago. Now, all I taste is salt. The crust is still good, but with a below standard pizza sitting on top.....what's the point? read more

Disappointed. Ordered a garlic chicken pizza on a thin crust. When I went to pick it up, they discovered it was made on the original crust & would re-make it. Very little time later, it was ready. I thought there was not enough time to re- make the pizza. But took it home anyway. After cooking, we discovered that it was on the original al crust, not a thin crust. I suspect they just mashed down the crustalong the edge on the original pizza that had made to look like a thin crust. It was definitely NOT a thin crust! I'm so disappointed. This is my go-to location in Salem! I typically order a Chicken Bacon Delite, with artichokes sprinkled in rather generously, and pepperoni, to please the simpler pizza flavor fans as well as those relative who prefer some nuanced flavors on their dough. I only go for thin crust because of the carbs and I can say this is the best thin crust that I have ever tried. You can pick up a large carbonated soft beverage or a salad at the check-out and the employees will always check on your pizza readiness status right away once you tell them your name (if you called in your order) even if it's really busy in here. read more

This branch REALLY doesn't have the 'social distancing' thing working. My usual Papa Murphy's was closed for a few weeks so I tried this 'next closest' location. Sent in an on-line order just like usually works so well at my branch -- where I walk in, grab pizza, drop a tip, and stroll out. That ain't how it was working at this branch. The lobby was crowded, and phone orders were available on one side and on-line orders on the other side of the shop. Confused people pushing past each other to get between the two pick-ups and people trying to order forming a line in the middle. They couldn't find my order. Four different people asked me for my name and confirmation number while I was jostled by other customers. I handed my phone to one of them so they could read the confirmation email off the screen. Frustrated, I worked my way to the manager at the cash register who once again asked my name and number. I'd been there for eight minutes at this point. While the manager scratched his head somebody over at the pizza rack yelled, "hey, whdja say yer name was?" I shouted back (sixth time) my name. "Yah, I gotithere." There were many crackheads outside the establishment which was unsettling, but when I went inside it was a welcoming environment. The employee (Gabe) welcomed me in with a smile. IMHO, Papa Murphy's Pizza take-and-bake is the best. For me, it's the combination of fresh ingredients, fast and courteous service, value for the dollar and the take away to bake. Seriously, hot pizza from this Papa Murphy's is the standard we measure other pizza against. I love the delite crust, and baking the pizza correctly is the key. A clean oven, large enough so the pizza can lay flat on it's tray, and holds the temperature is a given. I usually bake the pizza (at 450 degrees) for seven minutes, rotate it in the oven180 degrees, bake another seven minutes, slide the pizza directly onto the wire shelf, bake another two minutes (this dries out and crisps the bottom), take the pizza out, cut (with a wheel pizza cutter) and serve. The light crispness of the toasted delite crust is phenomenal, and the proportion of crust to toppings is dead on. Four stars for the pizza, and one extra star for, what, 18-plus years of excellent customer service, never getting my order wrong, having patience with me as I stutter out on order on the phone and always smiling when I come in to pick my pizza up. I love Papa Murphy's Pizza and desperately wish there was one in San Diego, where I live. I heard from my native San Diegan friends that there used to be but now the closest is over an hour away. So when my boyfriend and I visited his mom in Salem, we knew right away that we wanted Papa Murphy's Pizza for dinner. We ordered a large chicken garlic, cheese bread and s'mores dessert pizza...if we can't have it again for awhile, we were going to go all out. Everything was delicious! I am in love with the chicken garlic (and have been for quite some time) and it was just as wonderful as I remembered it. The s'mores dessert pizza was awesome and a wonderful sweet treat! As far as take and bake pizzas (and really most pizzas in general), Papa Murphy's is top notch. Plus, we got all three pizzas for $16...can't beat that! read more

I like my pizza to be as hot and fresh as possible, but I don't care much for dining in when it comes to pizza. Sometimes I like to have a whole bunch of beers and then have fresh, hot pizza, making a trip to Walerys or Padingtons a stupid idea. The best alternative? Papa Murphys. For what it is (take n' bake) it can't be beat. It really cooks perfectly in the oven, and although the crust is not how I would prefer it (thin and crunchy) it is not too thick for an anti-cruster like me. Their toppings are pretty dang good for how cheap it is. The best pizza there? The gourmet vegetarian. Very similar to Round Table without the RT price tag. You won't find green peppers on this veggie! Coupons are readily available online, in the mail, and they always have in-store specials. read more

The staff here makes the pizza taste that much better! The group here is amazing because they are always smiling, are always willing to tell you about their pizzas, will make accommodations for your allergic kids and do so without complaining or giving you attitude. The place gets crowded really quickly and can be claustrophobia-inducing during peak hour. The wait is worth it though because I have never had a bad pizza from here in two years. Wow - very good as always! I had a coupon for that half pepperoni and half Hawaiian and somehow lost it from the car to the counter...but the lady at the counter asked what the coupon was for and she just happened to have one right there! So I put my order in and had a seat - the place started to pack-up - I will order ahead next time ;) I did try using the online ordering but the coupon code didn't work...small glitches they still have to work out. About 5 min later my name was called and I got the familiar plastic wrapped take and bake in the nice baking tray. Stuck it in the oven and wala- fresh pizza. One of the best perks of baking your own is the whole house smells like pizza ;) With the discount the pizza is a real steal! Never did get our pizza's- they "ran" out of GF crusts and called us but we had prepaid and they couldn't refund our money. Called the corporate 800 number. Had an AMAZING experience at this location! I bought a pizza tonight and brought it home, turned on my oven to preheat, and then set my pizza on the counter while I unloaded the rest of my car. When I came back in from grabbing the rest of my belongings I was frustrated to see my dog had knocked my pizza off the counter and literally ate half of my pizza. I called the store and asked if they could remake my order after explaining what had happened and asked if they could take payment over the phone so my boyfriend could pick up the pizza on his way home. We have bought pizzas from Papa Murphy's on a monthly, if not weekly, basis. They've provided decent pizza at a good price. But recently they've moved to a web model where you must order online to receive offered discounts. Their website is glitchy and doesn't offer you the ability to order a half-and-half pizza. Recently I ordered a pizza on "$10 Tuesday" and when I hit "Order," I got a message on my screen, "Were having trouble contacting this store. Please try again." And my order was erased. I checked my bank account online and hadn't been charged so I went through the steps and tried again, as instructed, with success. When my husband came home from the store he had two pizzas, and yes, I'd been charged twice. I contacted corporate via email and their response was I should have called the store to see if my order went through. I don't know about you but the whole point of ordering online is to make it easier for the customer, me, to order their product. Sadly, I cannot recommend their online ordering. I go to the Papa Murphy's on Commercial by Boone road at least once a week. The food is great and ready will quick. I called in my order like always after work and headed over to pick up my dinner. When I got there I was informed that they couldn't take my $100 bill. Now I get that it's a real 1st world problem but that's all I had. Mind you there was no sign saying they didn't accept large bills. The girl at the register informed me with out even opening up the register that she wouldn't have change for this. I find it hard to believe that with 2 registers on a Tuesday evening they didn't have change to cover it. Some nasty girl with hickey's on her neck tells me to go next door and get change from Circle K and come back. Are you kidding me? it was the worst treatment in front of a shop full of people. I advised them I wouldn't go to a mini mart to get change for my order and to just cancel my dinner. The HICKEY girl said to me "are you sure you want to cancel your order?" I replied with yes, I can't pay for it since you won't take my money. I was treated with a shrug of who cares, later and don't let the door hit you in the butt when you leave. I guess if I had an EBT card I wouldn't of been turned away. Me and My boyfriend went to Papa Murphys tonight to get salads like we always do. We walk in and there is a huge line, the employees are being extremely rude to every customer. We get to the front, buy our salads, get home, and the salads are COMPLETELY rotten. We call to complain and they said "come back, we will refund you and give you new salads." So we went back, and they were even more slammed than before, we waited in line for TWENTY MINUTES. When we got to the front of the line the lady was again extremely rude and went on to tell us that they didn't have any fresh lettuce so they couldn't make us new ones but would refund us. The only reason I drove back was to get new salads and we didn't even get them. I suggested they throw away there other salads since they were all made the same day. The lady rolled her eyes and did NOTHING. In other words, do not eat at Papa Murphys because they have the absolute WORST service I have seen!!!! NOT TO MENTION ROTTON LETTUCE! read more
