I came from the Hollywood District in Portland, a very liberal area. Every Papa Murphy's in that area honors a military discount and supports veterans. Not the owner of 3 locations in this predominaitly Republican area of Happy Valley. I truly don't mind being turned down for a small discount, but the way it happened is what got to me. I asked if they did and the young guy behind the register said "Yes!" As he was checking my ID, the manager making the pizza said, and I quote, "No, we don't. We never have. The owner has 3 locations and doesn't do that.". The kid looked confused. Fun. Employees not on the same page. Fine, and I didn't say one other word about it. I then had a yelp check-in offer that was $3 off a family sized pie (photos below) I checked in, hit "use now" and showed the manager. "I've never seen that before and we don't honor yelp coupons." Ordered a pizza at 6:50 and quoted 20-30 minutes, and called to double check my order. I was told at 7:20 my pizza was next to make at 7:30. I was then called at 7:36 from Grub Hub and asked to cancel my order due to their delivery person already waiting over 30 minutes and it would be another 30 min to start making my order because it was not a priority. I thought it must be a mistake I just called. I ten called Papa Murphy's for a second time and the employee answered the phone and confirmed my pizza was put on hold because her manager told her to fill orders for the truck at the park. If I could do 0 stars I would. Literally one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. We ordered a pizza at 435PM for an ASAP pick up. We got there at 510 and were told by the young blonde guy working our pizza was for pick up at 515. (Not true as it was ASAP and had already been 30 min since we ordered online). Then he proceeded to say it would probably be longer. I am so frustrated because I am a mother of twin 2 year olds and am 8 months pregnant and am trying to go out with my husband for the first time in forever! I am emotional and pregnant and he was SO RUDE! When my husband asked for our money back he said no and said he was going to make us wait so we might as well just sit there. Absolute worst! I have been going to this Papa Murphy's location, since moving to the Clackamas area back in 2001. Some years I had gone more often, some years less. EVERY time I've gone PRIOR to today, this location has ALWAYS, without ANY issue, allowed me to redeem a coupon on the pizza, as well as one to get a free cheesy bread or cookie dough. Today, July 15, 2017, at a few minutes after 5PM, I walked in to order a pizza and cookie dough. The cashier stated he didn't believe he could accept both coupons. I stated, while it's been a while since I had last been here, I've always been allowed to do this without ANY issue for years. He then proceeds to ask the manager, Mike. Mike states, "We've NEVER allowed this." While Mike didn't explicitly call me a liar, the fact that he was VERY adamant that NEVER has it been allowed, yet I have successfully without fail, been able to do this some times 3x/week, sometimes once every 3-months... I took it as a attack on my character. If he were to have stated, "Sorry sir, while it MAY have been allowed in the past, it simply is not allowed now", OK, fair enough -- things change. But again, I viewed it as (a) him calling me a liar, and (b) ridiculous as again I've been able to do this forever! Needless to say, Mike has resulted in my NEVER going to patron this Papa Murphy's, and possibly and any other Papa Murphy's in the future. read more

What a bargain! 9 bucks or so for a huge pizza with lots of toppings, and all I have to do is heat it and eat it. We like the Chicago style and the chicken garlic. There are always coupons coming in the mail, on the back of receipts; there is no reason to ever pay the listed price for a pie. The young adults who work there are always nice and helpful. I've never tried the cookie dough or salads but they look ok. It's best to call ahead and then pick up, the line can get pretty long for ordering and waiting for the pizza to be made. They never make in advance and just sell off the shelf, which keeps everything tasty and fresh. We can feed four adults with one family size pizza, which is great for when we have guests and are weary of paying for expensive meals and cooking for them. These type of places are not typically the best place for us to get our pizza, you know that "fast food" type pizza joints so to speak. But Papa Murphy's is usually our go to when we don't feel like going to sit down to have pizza anywhere. It's pretty decent price, quick and easy to cook. The quality is good and it taste pretty darn good as well. This particular location is pretty nice, very clean in the inside and the staff is nice. It's usually pretty slammed whenever we go in and pick up a pizza on a Friday night. But it's nice having the option to call in your order had of time before you pick it up so it's ready. We just bought their all meat pizza the other day and it was actually really good! I usually stick to the pepperoni but I think this might be my new favorite. Tried out the mobile order app. It said it would Be ready by 7:30pm 22 minutes after I placed the order. When I walked in the place it looked like a Tornado hit it and my pizza was not started. There was just one gal behind the counter making pizza at the time I walked in. There were many people in line. I asked for my mobile order, and was told it would be another 10 minutes. After 5 minutes past, one of the customers in line asked "how do we order a Pizza here." She was told it would be a few minutes they were doing somethings in the back. Now, it is possible that they had something that took precedent over the customers waiting but it didn't look like it. So I'd like to give 3.5 stars and generously rounded up to 4 since Yelp doesn't offer that option. Staff are rude and this location loves to argue. They normally skimp on toppings, not unusual too get most of the toppings lumped on one side. They are also horrible about coupons. Is it a dollar off?- well there's no way they are letting you use a 3 dollar off coupon even from normal price. Have an "$2 off any pizza any size" sticker and want to apply it to their on-sale artichoke? Nope even though nothing on the coupon nor anything in their store forbids it (and yes, I know some coupons say "not combinable with any other discount" this one did not have anything like that)... Then nope! You're out of luck... Overall I have never had this bad of an experience at any other Papa Murphy's location (Milwaukie location seems the nicest if you like freindly employees! If I could do a negative star I would. Last night I called in an order at 5:15pm for two large pizzas. The girl on the phone was very polite and repeated my order. She said it would take 45 minutes. We arrived to pick them up and they had no record of the order. No apologies, nothing. I told the young man that I called it in at 5:15, and do I have to wait another 45 minutes. The female manager then started questioning me if I called the correct store. I told her yes as I've been going there for years. The young man that was helping me even told her that my contact information was in the computer. He proceeded to take my order, and the female manager said (with a snippy attitude) that they have walk in pizzas to take. I told her that I wanted a second kind also. The other male manager, walked over and apologized and said they will take care of it and it would take 5 minutes. I placed my order and paid. The young female manager was going through the receipts and picked up one that had my name on it and it was the incorrect order. I told her that was not what I ordered. She said so what did you order with a full attitude. I was so frustrated at this time, I told her not to give me an attitude, she snapped back and said she wasn't. I told her that they were the ones that messed up my order and I didn't do anything to deserve her snippy attitude. She replied by yelling, I don't have an attitude. I looked at the male manager and said, this is okay behavior? aren't you the manager? His reply was that she was a manager too and then apologized. I looked at the young female manager and said, you should learn from him. I then waited another 20 minutes for my pizzas, the rest of the staff were very polite and apologetic. When I got my pizzas, the male manager handed them to me and asked if I'd baked Papa Murphy's pizzas before, and I told him yes, but this will probably be the last time. I then said that I couldn't believe the female manager's attitude when they messed up or missed placed my entire order. The female manager then yelled from the back of the store 'oh my god'. I have never been treated like this. NThe female manager never apologized. She gave me a full attitude by being extremely rude and turning the blame on me. How she became a manager, I don't know, but she is an awful example for the other staff. read more

Worst customer service ever! We tried ordering online, but after getting an error three times we called in our order. After being put on hold, we spoke to Ryan and explained that we are trying to order online but we kept receiving an error message. Our order or discount would not go through. Ryan pretty much told us tough luck and that they would not honor the discount. Feeling a bit shocked, we asked to speak to the manager. Andrea (we think) came on the phone and pretty much told us that they would not be honoring the online deal because they had received other online orders, AND we could do it via their app if we wanted. Pretty much telling us we were not telling the truth! We said we would go else where and asked her to confirm her name again, she said she would not be giving us her name, she had already told us what her name was! She went on to say that, we were escalating the situation AND she would go ahead and honor the deal! Nooooo, we really would rather NOT order through you guys.
