We love Abby's Pizza! We've been to all locations along the Oregon coast, but this is our first visit to the Gresham location. They have a huge private parking lot. The outside esthetic is traditionally Abby's. We know their pizzas take about 25-30 minutes to prepare and bake, so we decided to order online, via their website, so it would be ready to eat when we arrived. We walked in and the interior screamed Abby's. They had the long tables with chairs and even a couple fireplaces. They also have a small arcade area. My husband really enjoyed seeing all the old photos on the walls. We walked up to the counter to get our pizza. The employees were friendly, helpful and accommodating. We let them know we were going to dine in, so they gave us plates and water cups. The pizza was exactly what we were hoping for...thin, crispy crust with just the right amount of fresh, delicious toppings. We ordered the giant (16") half Hawaiian, half Abby's Special for $45. Prices are a little high comparatively, but we love their pizzas so much, we don't mind paying a little more on occasion. If they were a little cheaper, we may come more often. I think they have coupons as well, so we may look for a coupon next time. read more

Love this Pizza ! The best anywhere, however, we have cut way way back. The price increase on the pizza is a bit much to handle for most pocket books. I voted 5 stars for each experience but not for the pricing. $50 for a Philly Cheese steak pizza is very outrageous and $45 for for the Abby's special is out of hand on pricing. Abby's have made it difficult to enjoy one of our favorite spots to eat but we need to let this place go until pricing gets back to normal. We are not willing to pay for their increases, especially after the remodel. Remodel was not the customers doing, it was Abby's. Cannot allow spending high dollar here to have customers pay for it. read more

5 pm on a Friday, this place is well packed. I think this place looks the same as it did in 1980, and most of the customers ate here as teens when it opened . This order at the counter name over the loud speaker style service place went out of vogue forever ago, but this place endures. We had a pepperoni pizza, extra pepperoni, extra cheese, extra sauce, it was good. It's not the best pizza I've had in Portland, but the crust was truly amazing. Super thin, crisp, the perfect platform for the pepperoni and the cheese and the sauce. Overall worth the trip if you haven't been, or if you're in the area. read more

Ok, so walking in I was... underwhelmed, it was old school pizzeria from the 80's vibes, where you order at the counter and then sit down to have your naked called out loudly on a speaker. However, the pizza, the pepperoni was crispy, the crust managed to be crispy and brown on the bottom with a soft pillowy top, covered in cheese, and the sauce was delicious. I kept wanting to say this was just a regular pizza, but I just kept coming back for more, and ate even more when I got home. Great pizza, old school place, we will definitely go again. read more

It's really hit or miss at this location. I feel like Abby's usually has a good standard, but with that many younger employees, quality and care just isn't there. I ordered two pizzas one was way over cooked. The other just didn't have the amount toppings they usually do. Unfortunately ~ we won't be back to this location. Clearly, at some point in the last year or so, ownership or management of this location has changed: no more booths, big open tables only (not quite cafeteria but close), and the food quality has hit bottom. My previous visit was stellar, great pizza. pleasant atmosphere. This time... 2 Ceasars both limp, and soggy, small double pepperoni dry, more cardboard than cracker and sub par flavor, the medium Shrimp and Artichoke (which I must say I was really looking forward to as an all time fave elsewhere) was virtually tasteless (bland would be an understatement), insufficient cheese to hold ingredients to crust (also bad). HUGE disappointment. Have really enjoyed Abby's in the past, but my rec would have to be give this location a hard pass until changes are made. read more

Their pizza is alright. I don't think the dough is very good and the pizzas are often over or under cooked. But their selection of beer and ciders is great! I definitely recommend the garlic knots and potato spuds. The portions of the appetizers are perfect and always taste cooked to perfection. Their pizza is overpriced though. read more

I sought out Abby's when I was near Gresham today. Abby's was my most memorable pizza growing up (ahem...40 years ago, ouch). It was what I remembered, as much as possible . I ordered my child hood favorite, a linguica pizza. The linguica was slightly charred on the top. That caramelization was what I remembered. I just ordered a large Hawaiian through DoorDash and could not figure out how to add pepperoni to my pizza. By the time I figured out how to do it (new to DoorDash) the app said it was too late to make any changes. As it was half an hour before delivery I called and asked if it was possible to add it to my order. The super friendly girl on the phone said she would check with the manager and get back to me. And she did! The manager said it would not be ANY problem at all and they would take care of me. She even wished me the rest of a great day! Decided to try out another new pizza place. Obviously with "Legendary" in the name expectations were high. Looking at the pictures on Yelp I decided to go with the thin crust as it seemed more of what I like in my pizza. Since I ordered this through a delivery service the pizza was cooked and dropped off fairly fast. So the verdict, was the pizza Legendary??? It was a good pie, definitely one of the better places in the area. Price point is around what I'd expect to pay at Round Table possibly a few dollars cheaper so it is on the higher priced end of the pizza world. While I did like the place I feel like it would be a splurge type pizza because of the cost. It might be the delivery company doing the mark up on the items because I've seen them do it with other restaurants. So one of these days when dine-in happens again I would like to dine in to get the real feel of everything. read more

Abby's "Legendary" Pizza is just OK, pretty average at best. The bottom is crispy, sort of, it's like a thin cracker. The cheese tasted weird and plasticky. Overall, there was an odd flavor I'd not tasted elsewhere, and this was a bit concerning. The chicken wings fared better, but they weren't super good. I ordered them extra crispy, and the counter person asked the kitchen to put them in right away to make them "well-done". Despite this, they were quite soggy, but were juicy and had a good flavor, better than expected. It also came with two containers of decidedly mediocre ranch dressing, and one was more than enough. Abby's is also rather on the expensive side for what you get. They physical sizes of their "small", "medium", "large", and "giant" are exaggerated as their real sizes are 7", 10", 13", and 16". My single four-topping 10" pizza, wings, and glass of water came to almost $22. The restaurant itself is large and clean, and has lots of seating. If you're in the neighborhood and just HAVE to get some pizza, it may fit the bill. I wouldn't go out of my way visit, though. read more

Ordered tonight specifically to try the Sicilian pizza. I don't know what we received, but it was definitely not the Sicilian. Ingredients were all wrong. Also, not a speck of garlic on the garlic knots. We only recently tried Abby's for the first time. The first experience was good. This experience makes me reluctant to order from them anymore. 3/1/23. Another disappointing experience with Abby's. Ordered delivery. I'm only minutes away, but both pizzas were cold on arrival. They actually resembled a reheated frozen pizza than a freshly made pizza. The sauce was almost nonexistent. No tomato taste whatsoever. Shakey's Pizza is one of the things that I miss the most from childhood, and knowing that many Abby's locations are in old Shakey's buildings was a driving force behind my desire for a Portland pizza crawl. The whole setup, of the kitchen and feel of the place made me feel back home like a kid again. One of the window posters that said "Proudly Ignoring Arugula For 55 Years" brought a smile -- not that I have anything against arugula, but resistance to change adds to nostalgic warmth. They even have a three cheese blend, which also spurred some hope. The pie was crisp, and I could see why people who grew up with it would love it. After trying over a dozen local pizzerias in a short amount of time, Portland has edged out New Haven Ct. as my favorite American pizza city outside of NYC. Abby's my not be in the league with Portland's finest, but it is a great reminder of the "parlor" style pizzas of the 60's and 70's. read more

The quality of pizza at this location has gone downhill. We have been customers for almost 15 years and the last several orders have been sadly disappointing. The recent changes in management have made a palpable different in the product. We never had issues when Michelle, Alisha, and Sierra were on the team. I've wanted to try Abby's for longer than I can remember. I'm always driving past one on the road when I'm working and can't stop or they're closed, then I get home and forget about it. Well tonight, we decided to to go out of our way to try it and we weren't disappointed. We got the Sicilian which was loaded to the edge and had great flavor with their garlic cream sauce, roasted garlic, canadian bacon, sausage, tomato, spinach, onion, shrooms, and olives. Of course cheese too. Very good with a decent crust that wasn't too thick. And very filling. We also got the cinnamon knots which were ok but not really our cup of tea though it was nice to try them. Haven't had Abby's in years so we decided to give them a shot. We ordered an Ultimate Meat and The Sicilian. Added on an order of wings since no where in Gresham has good wings. The Ultimate Meat was perfection. The Sicilian was good but I wouldn't order it again. The wings were atrocious. If you're going to charge $14.20 for 8 wings, the least you could do is provide actual chicken wings. Not some over processed and undercooked mess. 4 stars because the pizza is good and worth the money but when you have fried chicken on your menu, you can serve actual chicken wings. read more
