Not one of my usual pizza spots but the in-laws were over and this is what they like. It was solid pizza. Crispy crust and plenty of toppings. I actually like that they cut the slices kind of thin. You can always have more but sometimes it's nice just to have a small slice. I can see why they come here. read more

So I just ordered a pizza tonight from pizza Baron we ordered a pepperoni pizza and for some reason there was barely any pepperoni on it. I called Pizza Baron and the girl that answered told me that they were cutting back on pepperoni so literally they cut the pepperoni in half barely put any on it and then cover it with cheese so you can't tell. I don't know if I'll be buying pizza from here ever again. I know that economy is bad but for the price we're paying for a pizza. It is not worth buying pizza from here anymore. I am 50 years old. I have been going to Pizza Baron since I was a kid always the best pizza there is hadn't been there in probably 2 1/2 years went back recently, and it was worse than pizza Smizza. I was so disappointed. I was so excited to go back and have that great pizza that I remember and instead there was a couple immature servers that didn't know what they were doing. They were rude. Acted like I was an inconvenience by ordering . Brought my family there and it was just terrible. Place looks the same still like the atmosphere lotta great memories there but....That pizza was nothing like it used to be. I don't know if there's a new owner different cooks different recipe whatever but they lost their way. I will likely never be back. :( maybe somebody can tell me it was just a one off bad day That's been going there for as long as I have. 07-08-25 not a bad pizza parlor. Reminds me of a Shakey's Pizza. The pizzas are thin crust. The all meat and pepperoni pizza are good and not too greasy. The seating / dining area is mixed with family style tables and benches. There is also some booths along the wall. The arcade was cool with some 80s and 90s games. They also have real slot machines too. You order at the entrance and they give you a number then bring it to your table. Don't forget to order your pitcher of beer and soda. Tap water is free. This place is reasonably priced. The front parking lot is weird due to the small / narrow painted spaces. Overall the place was fun. The employees are nice. I would come back. Well, this is my second review as of recently. I used to really like this place when I was a kid growing up the pizza was cheap and excellent good flavor but this place is just went downhill. I called in an order for a pizza when I got there, I waited in line when I got up to the counter I told him I had a phone in order to go. The girl asked my name and then went back and tried to find my ticket. They were looking at different tickets. She kept coming back-and-forth like everybody back there was confused and then she comes back and tells me that they put bacon on my pizza instead of Canadian bacon doesn't apologize or anything and just looks at me and asked me if I still want it no I don't want it. This is not what I asked for so they tell me they'll have to remake it. I ask them how long it will take. I think it was the Cook from bat came out around from the back looks at me looks out into the people that were there looks back at me and tells me about 10 to 15 minutes, more closer to the 15 minute mark, he didn't apologize either their mess up and I don't get any apology. No nothing when I got asked if I still wanted the pizza why would I want a pizza that I didn't order and if you're going to ask me if I still want it maybe you should say that you can give it to me at a discounted price since you guys screwed up there was not any of that. There was no customer service no care in the world so I looked at them all said I was done. I don't want it now and walked out the door. I'm pretty much done with this establishment. They have went downhill. They do not care about anybody. You just lost a sale today and a customer so I hope to manager or the owner reads this because if this is how you run your establishment, you should just close the doors. read more

I loved this place for years. We had my son's 2nd birthday at this place,we had his 8th birthday party and several after the basketball ball games, This was a great place. They have 1/2 with games and seating, and the other 1/2 seating and a salad bar. But I called in an order and there prices on line are not what they honored and the coupon I had from the last time I ordered they did not honor. The coupon was less than a month old and had no expiration date on it. They charged extra for to go orders even if you pick it up. Usually the crust is thin and crispy and they put a good amount of toppings but the pizza tasted like chemicals. I told my 22 year old son to taste it. The son that we had his 2nd birthday and 8th. He said to me don't eat that. It's not good. I paid a lot for this pizza. Over $35 dollars for a pizza I had to put in the trash for fear it would make me sick. DO NOT BUY!!! I don't know what happened to my favorite pizza place but over priced and not good. I will not be going back. The pizza I ordered was a medium size, because they would not honor the coupon for the family size. They tape the coupons to the top of the box. Big sad disappointment. Well... took an out of town guest here and we were doing the traditional after game stop for pizza. I had an entertainment guide 20% off purchase coupon. It's the electronic version- not out of the book. The girl right away says, if it's not paper we won't take it. We need something for the til. Really? Most people write the code down. I have seen it done many times. She was not nice AT ALL. I said I have never had issues. Nope didn't care- just said print it out next time and we ordered three pizzas and after each one - okay that's it? Lord let us get your whole $78 order you are taking out before cutting us off. So we got there right when they opened at 11 am. They were not ready. No salad bar. Their prices are ridiculous for the quality you get now. We waited a long time- and we watched one of our pizzas hit The floor back there- and they picked up pan and threw the entire metal pan and pizza in trash. Finally almost AN HOUR later and one other person in there besides us eating, the pizza comes out- except for the dropped one they said didn't look good enough to serve so they did us a solid and remade it. At least 10 minutes later after the other two were sitting there on our table. Of course it was the kid's pizza that hit floor. Our family size pizza didn't come close to filling the pan and we thought it was a medium- nope- they confirmed it was in fact a family sized and price to match. A few months ago that same Pizza touches edges of pan. I am so disappointed in the direction they have gone now. We are done. Was searching around for something small and just so happened to find a coupon on diningadvantage for a BOGO: Enjoy one free menu item when a second menu item is purchased. I browsed their website and found out the 7" personal pizza (one topping) are $5.00, additional toppings are $0.50. I called to confirm a few things: - able to place a phone order? YES! - confirmed price? New price is $5.25, website pricing is outdated - accept coupon? Must see coupon. I placed an order on the phone for two personal pizzas (one topping each) and was told it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. When we arrived, we were told they charge $0.25 per to-go boxes - that's fine. (We were not informed on the phone). When I showed them the coupon, they said it does not work on personal pizzas - but will honor it this time only (heard her mumble "stupid coupon"). I read it twice; the coupon does not exclude personal pizzas... it said BOGO free menu item. I suppose their 7" personal pizza is not part of their menu item. She was clearly upset that I used a coupon. It was our first time here and I have to say that my experience was not a good one. We were hoping the pizza will make up for the bad experience, but the pizza was mediocre at best. We have had better. We were not thrilled by the taste or appearance. Excellent NW style pizza, which is thin cracker crust cooked on corn meal - a style that is not for everyone. Having grown up in SE Portland, it's the pizza we ate. The atmosphere and pizza hasn't changed much since it opened in the early '70s as the second in a small local chain. I generally prefer NY style pizza, but when I get a hankering for NW style pizza I go to Pizza Baron or Stark Street Pizza which was the original Pizza Baron. read more

Even for Oregon Style Pizza (http://www.yelp.com/list/oregon-style-pizza-ore-keizer) standards, Pizza Baron's version might be the thinnest I've seen yet. As one of the more obscure pizza joints in Southeast Portland, it is one of few that specializes in Oregon style. Each time I've been here it seems to be empty and gets little to no love. Through and through, Pizza Baron is the definition of a local pizzeria. From the outside, the strip mall laden Pizza Baron is reminiscent of Oregon pizza joints stuck in the 70s/80s. The bubbly orange font, along with a lot of the signage almost scream for a makeover that has probably not happend for at least two decades. There is a part of me that likes this, what better way to stay hip by embracing the retro roots? Just a thought. Coming in during one summer afternoon where it was bright and sunny (yay Oregon summers!), I was surprised to see how dark the interior was. Low wattage bulbs lined the ceilings, with only a couple of windows for any semblance of sunlight. It was like eating in a rustic Irish pub, complete with the long bar counter and intimate booths. If I was on a date in high school, I think I'd be coming here. As previously noted, the pizza here is thin. It's definitely not the classic Oregon pizza look, lacking the bubbly hollow crust, and baked to appear a little more flat and limp. The cornmeal (?) / cracker bottom makes for a nice crunch and the pizza is light yet tasty. When it comes to this style of pizza, I love a good pepperoni topping. The meatier kind of pepperoni that curves upward after some bake time in the oven, it's the kind of stuff I miss in pizza form whenever I'm out of state. I found Pizza Baron on a whim and I am holding out on the hope there are more old school pizza joints in Portland serving Oregon Style Pizza. Pizza Baron gets my thumbs up for many future returns and one heck of a thin crust pizza. read more

How rude!!! Had a baby shower here. Reserved a table for 2-4. At 3:25 they came and told us that a party had reserved they space we were in starting at 3:30 so we had to move. We spent a good amount of time moving to the place we were instructed to move to. Then got on with the party games. At 3:58 we were again approached by staff and told that the tables we were now at were booked for 4pm. Would have been done by 4 if we hadn't have had to move in the first place!!!
