Used to come here all the time but now my wife and I are on fixed incomes. Stopped in today to get a slice of pepperoni pizza and a beer. I don't know how they can call it "pepperoni" pizza. It had one whole piece and two half pieces of pepperoni on the whole slice of pizza (picture posted). I worked at two pizza places growing up and I know but that is not how you make a pepperoni pizza. It's not worth my money to come back here when there's other places then put a lot more pepperoni on it. Taste was okay but not as good as it used to be. They do have a good bar in back and a decent selection of beer out front. The bar part is considered a sports bar. read more

I ended up getting "the predator" slice of pizza. The food was really good. A mixture of several different meats. It was more on the thin crust side. The atmosphere was that of a sports bar/restaurant. There was plenty of seating and even pinball machines against the wall. They have some happy hour specials and even sell meatball sandwiches i would recommend this place if you're looking for a quick slice of pizza to go or dine in. I believe if you want a whole pizza it would be 15-25 minute wait. read more

Very good New York style pizza by the slice. Stopped here with a friend and we each ordered two slices, five bucks a slice, and weren't disappointed. The slices were reheated and promptly served. Pretty wide selection. Roma Supreme (red sauce, pepperoni, Genoa salami, Italian sausage, mushrooms, black olives, onions, green peppers), the Gladiator (red sauce, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, Andouille sausage, onions, roasted garlic, tomatoes), the Predator (red sauce, pepperoni, Genoa salami, Italian sausage, beef, Andouille sausage), along with others. Ample toppings. Nicely sauced. Chewy dough. Overall pleasant ambiance. Decent spot for a slice or two. read more

I love this neighborhood spot. Their bundle meal with a beer or salad hits the spot every time. The predator which is all meat is tasty.

Sat morning : First walk in decently busy only one bartender, been coming to this place for a few years now and it's been a little inconsistent. The girl bartending is amazing and doing her job amazingly, however she's only one person and can only do so much. When the kitchen is messing up ticket orders for her and she's trying to serve everyone and fix ticket orders and run food and make drinks that's way to much on one person she definitely needs a barback or some help. However she was able to take a small break and the guy covering her break behind the bar should stay out of customer service jobs. First, I ordered my slice of cheese pizza when I first walked in she rang it in no issues. Later, my friends ordered food after me, but they got their food before me? After 20 minutes no pizza but they got their food I went up to the bar frustrated about where my food is and the cook just didn't make it? Sounds like a new cook was hired and was really messing orders up. Thankfully I ordered pizza because anything else we ordered was not edible, besides the salad. My friend got the pulled pork plate it came on paper and was awful. No flavor, swampy and watery, the beans were so dry there was no eating that and coleslaw was watery. Do not recommend. The happy hour prime rib sandwich looks extremely scary and not appealing. Waited an hour for a salad a slice of cheese pizza and prime rib sandwich off happy hour. If you're planning on coming only stick to the pizza. When we came to cash out u promise you the bartender took very GOOD care of us and that's the only reason I would return but what happened after we left is INSANE and UNACCEPTABLE. We cashed out, before we left I told my husband to double the tip because she was great and he might have been giving me attitude but clearly the worker who was covering her during that break earlier felt the need to miss judge the situation and think he's giving the bartender attitude? So we leave and he decides to talk shit about us as we leave not knowing half of our party is behind him and heard everything he said. What a disrespectful employee to be talking about customers like that when yall were the ones who treated US poorly. When you walk in it's kind of dark and smoky from the ovens. They sell slices or full pizzas. If you want a slice you go to their pizza case and tell them what kind of pizza you want. The service is usually pretty good, I can't say I've ever had a bad experience. The pizza is always good, sometimes they have combinations that you would never think of, but they work. April 14th 2025 at approximately 9:30pm my husband and I took our child to get a slice of pizza. The waiting room was empty 30 min away from closing. A man walks in says can I get a slice of pizza. The waiter went to charge him and the young man said oh I have no money. He was hungry. Without a fuss he left the restaurant when the waiter told him he needed to have money to pay for a slice of pizza. My husband said babe knock on that window and ask that young man to come back in and have a meal with us. We payed for his pizza and shared our wings with him. He was so appreciative and polite. A employee walks over and told Gabriel we can't have pan handlers in our establishment you need to leave. My husband said oh no no no he is a paying customer now and he is part of our dinner party now. Fast forward we are now getting ready to leave at five min to 10:00pm. My husband asked hey can Gabriel stay here and finish his meal without being treated poorly? The waiter said actually no we would prefer he leave with y'all. My husband then asked for the name of these employees and they refused. My husband got loud(angry) asking for the owner's number so he could explain how they are treating people. What a disgrace to the human race. Gabriel walked off without a fuss and we called him back to feed him. Guess what I went back inside and asked for the general managers contact info. I was given the number on a paper but was told it wouldn't do me any good to explain what happened as my husband and did get loud. We were both 86ed and told to NEVER come back. This establishment is a prime example of what humanity has turned into. I told them I will never darken their door step ever again. Don't bother. This is allegedly a 15" pizza. It only measures 13" which is 75% of the surface area of a 15" circle for TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS. No idea what happened to this place it used to be great but now it's often slow and disorganized and this 3/4 of the pizza I paid for is the last straw. It does taste good though read more

09/28/2023: 3.0 out 5 - Did Pizza Roma go under new ownership? The pizza was okay...not like in the past times when it was REALLY GOOD. On top of that, the order was messed up, and the website pricing and the brick-n-mortar prices doesn't match along with line items for pizza boxes. Line items for pizza boxes now?! Really?! This is just horrible business practice for any type of eatery or restaurant. Price goes up, line items for everything nowadays, AND the quality and customer service goes down, as well. My buddy comes here a lot. I have been here a couple of times. I had the $13.00 lasagna today with salad. The meal was good. The salad was pretty basic but the lasagna was huge and delicious. Once again just working in the area. Was craving a pizza by the slice and I'm glad I found this place. For me it really hit the spot. For 10 bucks I got two huge slices of pizza along with a salad which was nothing special but I didn't come there for that. I ordered the predator and the Maui wowi. They asked if I wanted it a little bit crispier and I said yes. I sat down and they brought the basket to me with two beautiful hot pieces of pizza. Honestly I loved them both. I'm not sure why there are low reviews for this. Sure it may not be the "best" pizza in Portland. It made my tastebuds happy. I work in the area all next week. I'm sure I'll be back. Owner hasn't updated the menu price in months and tells employees to not say the price over the phone, so when you show up for your food the price is 7-10$ more.. Pizza itself has also fallen heavily in quality. Sad to say I think I'm done here. Just like Delta down the street and their microwaved food. Woodstock area restaurants in general have fallen off big-time. Hope they get it together or make space for businesses that care about their customers and their establishments beyond profit. read more

I walked in here just famished and everything looked amazing. They have a great lunch deal for $9. You get a slice and a small salad, and they have & or so options for slices. I went with a margarita slice and small Greek salad. I also added 3 breadsticks so I could try them out as well. The staff were so welcoming and friendly when I asked questions, and brought the food right out. I tried the breadsticks first, and honestly wasn't that impressed. They are thin and just lacked some flavor, however the marinara I was dipping them in was on point! It was so good! And it was warm which I also appreciated. I dig into the salad next and it was great. Not much to say about it, it is a typical Greek salad with romaine, Kalamata olives, red onion and feta with a feta vinaigrette. The pizza was really solid. They add goat cheese to their Marg and it was so perfectly creamy and added a little tanginess that goes so well with the sauce and basil. I just want to say that their quality is back up to a five star level. I love their deep dish "square-cut" slices. Their flavors are inventive and unique to anywhere. They have really improved. If you don't see your favorite pizza, they will often order to make it for you! And Prime rib Night is Back! For $20 it includes a salad and a baked potato and it's a huge feast! We called in an order to Pizza Roma - a "Mugatu" a couple of days ago. We were given a pick-up time (I'm avoiding delivery services) of 35 minutes - quite reasonable. I headed up there, got there about 30 minutes in. They've got a well-delineated outside seating area with both covered and uncovered socially-distanced seating. On this nicely sunny day, day, most of those tables were taken up. Inside, there were maybe 10 people ordering slices or whole pies. I stepped up to the payment window, paid the bill, and was told that our order would come up shortly. Which it did, maybe five minutes later. The "Mugatu" is a white (garlic) sauce pie with chicken, sweet peppers, and bacon. Certainly tasty, ours, however, was lacking much bacon. Lots of chicken and peppers, but you wouldn't have known that bacon was included unless you looked carefully. Regardless, it was a good pie. $30 plus tip (a tad spendy). There's some exceptional pizza on Woodstock so while we may not rush back here, we'll certainly consider it when we're thinking pizza for dinner. read more

I came here for the first time and felt right at home. I got escorted to the bar in the back and even shown to my table. The bar staff was friendly, outgoing, and had great banter which is something I cant help but spew off lol. The drinks were strong, the beer cold, the pizza melty and hot, and we even got a free round for it taking a little longer than normal. The place was packed and even the guests were friendly as some came over and chatted us up based on the teams clothing we had on. We were here for a good few hours and never felt rushed or pushed. Not very thrilled we figured we'd give them a go again since me and my wife don't come to this side of town very often . The barbecue wings were surprisingly spicy we took some sauce off and the sauce was barbecue but the wings were breaded in something very spicy . We eat takis no problem but apparently barbecue wings are where it gets too spicy . And what's up with the celery that's like a half circle . The "side salad" we expected was like a Caesar but This is what we got a salad that doesn't fit on the plate , you can't stir it or even take a bite without it falling off the plate . Last time I ate here a found a nail in my marinara sauce. Seriously. An f'ng nail. This was about 8 months ago. Because of the manager's "oh well" attitude and not even an offer to refund my meal, I stayed away. And yes, I did call the health department the next day and they visited the restaurant. Some of the best pizza in Portland, both slices and pies. Nice crust, creative ingredients as well as traditional toppings. Good salads too. Haven't tried the prime rib but my neighbor says it's very good. Seating inside and outside. Good for large or small groups. Open for lunch until around 10 pm. The bar serves decent wines, beer and cocktails. Like a lot of restaurants, new employees need training for lack of experience. Very clean, family style ambiance. read more

Very disappointed. My husband and I moved to the Woodstock area about a year ago. WE LOVE PIZZA ROMA. They are always very nice and the food is on point! We generally get a pizza by the slice and add roasted garlic to it. We go about 2 to 3 times a month. Yesterday, Hannah very rudely stated it is their policy to not add anything to pizza by the slice. Again, been eating here 2/3 times a month for over a year and never once has anyone said that. It's extremely disheartening to be rude to patrons who are in your establishment quit often. I offered to pay extra and stated that no one has ever said that before and had never had an issue adding garlic to a slice before heating it up. She rolled her eyes at me and didn't respond and just walked away. Still served me a plain slice with no additives. At this point it's easier to order delivery from somewhere further to avoid interaction with that employee. So sad as I prefer supporting my local establishments, but that interaction was extremely off putting. read more
