I've heard constant praise of this spot so we came for lunch yesterday. The pizza is yummy. You can get a slice/individual size/family size. I went with a full size of Caesar salad, slice of pep and a Diet Coke and my partner got two slices of pep. I completely understand it was a very busy day for them (from the waitress's response to customers), but the wait was a bit unbearable. I got my Caesar salad relatively quickly but finished it with no pizza in sight. The Caesar salad was medium. We hoped because we got slices, that it would be fairly quick. We even asked the waitress how long a customized whole pizza would take and she said approx 30 mins. It took 30 mins to get our slices of pepperoni pizza... Now I understand the pep could have been out but a warning to say "hey it's busier than usual, our slices will also take a while to come out" would be nice. Others had their order taken before us despite arriving a few mins before them. It was chaotic. Almost all tables were full, so I get it. But I just wish there could have been communication. After 30 mins, I finally got up and asked her at the register, "any ETA on the Diet Coke and slices of pizza" to which she finally got me my drink and the slices of pizza followed. I'm not thrilled about waiting on something as simple as a canned soda. Would I visit again for a sit-down lunch? Maybe if I had extra time. Pizza is good and I don't think her service was poor. Went here for my partners birthday with her whole family and they were super kind and able to put us in the back room for a private party. The service was super quick and the staff was kind. Lucky lady owned. I was craving pizza and we stumbled upon this place. 110% glad we did. The house pizza selection is limited and typical staples you find at a pizza joint weren't on the menu. No fried calamari or BBQ wings. That was a disappointment but I got this appetizer of a grilled peach wrapped with prosciutto and cheese with balsamic vinegar. Well, it worked as crazy as it sounded. We also got two pizzas a Crown point and Bigfoot. Both were good. They forgot the arugula at first for the crown point but no one cared. The Bigfoot was good but if you add spicy sausage it becomes great ;) Both pizzas had a chewy crust and the right amount of sauce. Dining area was nice and clean and service was the bomb. Our server, Taylor constantly checked on us and made light conversation when it wasn't too busy. Overall five stars. I like this cozy place. I just tried the meatball sub yesterday for lunch and it was amazing!!! I am happy they are keeping this on the menu instead of just the special. The sandwich was filling and delicious. It was loaded with cheese and they didn't skimp on the meatballs, which were moist and flavorful. The marinara sauce and bacon jam added a nice flavor to the sandwich, and the bread was crispy on the outside and chewed on the inside. Seriously one of the best meatballs subs I have had from a resturant in a long time. I already liked this place for their pizza,and I am glad they have grinders now as well and can't wait to try more of them. For the month of October, they featured Melanie T's homemade baklava. We wanted to go there and check to see how the baklava was selling. Melanie ended up getting a small 10" pizza. I am on a diet and it wasn't time for me to eat so I just sat there suffering. I could not get that pizza out of my mind though. We came back on a Sunday after my pickleball tournament. We did get the same pizza but in size large. It was worth the wait. It tasted very good and the crust was perfect. We tried one of their other Desserts by a local bakery which I can't remember the name. That did not disappoint either. Of course, I had to try one of melanie T's Baklava. I just wanted to make sure they are still good. They were, and I made the face that other people make when they take one bite out of her baklava at her booth at the Original Gresham Farmers market. The service was excellent and atmosphere and decorao were Italy-like... They also have few Italian items to sell including wines from italy. It's just a unique experience being here. Very disappointing experience overall. We came in as a family of 5 and spent $123 before tip for 3 large pizzas, 1 individual pizza, and 4 canned sodas, so we definitely expected a much better experience and food quality for that price point. Right from the start there was confusion when we walked in because nobody greeted us or explained whether we should seat ourselves or order at the counter. One of our pizzas had to be completely remade because it stuck to the cooking plate. Mistakes happen, but what was frustrating was that the owner was there at the time and never came out to apologize or acknowledge the delay. Because of the remake, the rest of our pizzas were cold by the time the replacement pizza finally made it to the table. The pizzas themselves were underwhelming. The toppings were very light and the pizzas were surprisingly thin overall considering the cost. Paying $2 per canned soda also added to the feeling that the value simply was not there. What disappointed us most was the lack of customer service after the issue happened. Even when we checked out, about 20 minutes after the replacement pizza arrived, there was still no manager or owner available to speak with us. We really wanted to like this place, but between the service, communication, pricing, and food quality, we left very dissatisfied. read more

We stopped in to Lolo's after running some errands in Gresham. We were greeted by Taylor who was friendly and accommodating. We sat down and ordered a couple of beers...the Porter and the IPA...both were refreshing without being overpowering. No dessert flavors in my dark beer, thank-you! We ordered a small pizza and some salads. When Taylor brought out our pizza, I was a little surprised...it didn't look like the pizza we had ordered. She was busy so we didn't say anything. The one she brought us was very, very tasty! She came back a little later and apologized for the mixup AND offered to box up the pizza we did order and give it to us free! That is customer service... I've been here two times because of the proximity and we like to support small businesses. I have dined here one of those times. The ambience and service is alright. It takes like 30 min to receive your pizza. I understand this, but it's not a quick stop. Seating is awkward and I wish it was more homey, like the cafe next door. The pizza is above average. I can't speak on the quality of pizza since I've only had the pepperoni pizza, twice. The take out pizza was cold, but the dine-in pizza was super hot so I guess, that's that. This is a hidden gem of a place. Yes, the general ambiance leaves much to be desired, but the quality of the food and the great selection of wine and beer more than make up for it. They make everything in-house, including the desserts - so eating at Lolo's supports a local small business . . . and not a Sysco pizzeria that 'prepares' their food by opening plastic bags. First time at this location. Ordered the 'farm to pizza' pizza and salad. Salad was a chicory Caesar salad Tried the chicory Caesar at the other location, was fine. This salad was not good. Badly prepped, low quality lettuce mixed in and underdressed. I'm gluten sensitive so I require a gf crust, which is more expensive and oddly I've noted they often also skimp on toppings compared to regular crust. The farm to pizza sounded delicious, see description. Farm to pizza.....Featuring locally-grown Organic Mushrooms & Bacon atop Caramelized Onion Jam & an aged Gruyere/Mozzarella cheese blend. Local grower Irie Farm is once again supplying us with beautiful Organic Mushrooms including varieties such as Blue Oyster, Pink Oyster, Black King Trumpet, Lions Mane, Chestnut and Shiitake. Sounds great. What arrived was one of the poorest pizza I've had in recent memory Almost none of the before mentioned toppings were noticeable. Not more than the equal of one mushroom on top. Little bacon or onion jam. See pic. Sadly, as a gf pizza water you generally get screwed three ways. You pay more, you get a premade lower quality crust and they skimp on toppings.
