Very cute house limited parking very unassuming neighbourhood to a out-of-town. Client service was fantastic. Everyone was so pleasant. Food selection was great. We wanted to try a little bit of everything so we got the meatballs, the Arancini balls, oysters, kids pasta and three pizzas. The meatballs came with its own pita homemade delicious. Honestly, it would come back just for that. Of course had to get the tiramisu for dessert even though we were so full and it was so good. Super comparable to pizza and food in Toronto honestly, I was so happy great way to end my two week trip

Tucked away on Frankfort Avenue, it's a little off the beaten path, and parking can be an adventure. There's a small lot by the restaurant with overflow parking further down the hill. Somehow we managed to snag the only open space right outside the front door, which felt like winning a very specific Louisville lottery. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and the place was already buzzing. It was packed with locals, which is usually a good sign. While our table was being bussed, three different employees checked to make sure we were being helped. We let them know we were just a little early and waiting on our table, but it spoke volumes about the attentiveness of the staff. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a neighbourhood pizza spot: relaxed, lively, and unpretentious. The soundtrack quietly floating through the speakers was a crate-digger's delight, full of songs that have been sampled throughout hip-hop history. Hearing Lynn Collins' Think (About It) while waiting for dinner felt particularly apt following the recent passing of Rob Base. The song's iconic break became the foundation of It Takes Two, one of hip-hop's most recognisable records, and it was a nice reminder of how deeply great music connects generations. To start, we ordered the Olives & Togarashi, a bowl of Castelvetrano olives coated in a wonderfully aromatic blend of spices with notes of fennel, sesame and citrus. My son tried his first olive and was genuinely shocked by the flavour. He'll come around eventually. For the main event, we ordered three large pizzas: the DOP Margherita, the Funghi and the Original Sting. The DOP Margherita showcases imported buffalo mozzarella from Campania alongside basil and San Marzano tomatoes. The Funghi is loaded with an incredible blend of mushrooms, taleggio, pecorino cream and mozzarella. The Original Sting combines soppressata, fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato and spicy local honey in a sweet-and-savoury combination that completely works. Now, let's talk about the crust. It is perfect. Pillowy and light, yet substantial enough to give you that satisfying chew. The wood-fired oven creates just the right amount of charred bubbling around the edges. Our server offered house-made ranch and other dipping sauces for the crust, but we politely declined. This pizza doesn't need any enhancers. The balance of flavours across all three pies was exceptional. I've eaten pizza all over the world, and Pizza Lupo belongs in that conversation. It really is that good. We had a plan: sample all three pizzas and leave just enough room to split the tiramisu. Thankfully, we stuck to it. The tiramisu was fresh, light and beautifully balanced. Not overly sweet, nicely moist, with just enough espresso flavour coming through. It was the perfect finish to an outstanding meal. The service was fast without feeling rushed, friendly without feeling scripted, and genuine throughout the evening. We left full, not bloated, and happy as spring lambs, already talking about what we'd order next time. We'll defo be back. Cheers, Sam

I remember the…read morefirst time I ever had Impellizzeri's Pizza in the late '80s or early '90s, how blown away I was by both the yumminess of the pizza (it's truly one of a kind) and the warm, friendly service. I think it may have been the owner I encountered there decades ago on Bardstown Road the first time I ever had pizza there. Fast forward to December 2025, and the pizza is still of knockout quality. The service is still great, this time near the Holiday Manor shopping center. I ordered carry out, but couldn't wait to get home before sinking my teeth into the first slice. Yes, it's tempting enough to swallow your pride and sophistication and chomp while behind the wheel (with the vehicle still parked, of course). If you know, you know; it was worth it. And yes, I had plenty of napkins. I was super delighted that Impellizzeri's participated in the WHAS 11 Crusade for Children Pizza Passport initiative, new on the list since last year. Yay for Social Responsibility at Impellizzeri's! I picked my pie up at the bar, and the nice gentleman employed there pointed out for me some napkins and utensils on the bar top. The overall atmosphere was quite nice. Did I mention how amazing that pizza tasted? I'm tempted to go back tonight for another treat. Can't get enough of that deliciousness.

Service was friendly, fast and ensured we were well taken care of. Food is always fantastic! It's not just pizza, it's truly the BEST pizza in Louisville! Whether it's thin, original or deep dish Sicilian, the dough is always baked perfectly, not overdone. Sauce is unique and compliments all the other flavors going on quite well. And of course, after the pies are topped to your liking, they're loaded with super stretchy, fresh mozzarella cheese. You get a lot of pie for your hard earned dollars here and it's the best of the best!

My MIL lives in NC, and we met up for dinner while family was visiting. We got a long table out front and were able to decide on a few pizzas to try, including a basic cheese (for the kids), pepperoni and sausage and the chicken pesto. Each was good, with the chicken pesto my favorite. The flavors worked really well together. We didn't have to wait too long for our pizzas and could also enjoy a glass of beer -- the adults, not the kids ;-) -- to round out the evening. NC boasts several restaurants now, but I would definitely come here again.

We went on a Thursday rainy night and sat in the enclosed patio which is a nice set-up that we quickly learned is where they accommodate all large parties. The noise grew very loud to the point it seemed like tables across the patio were trying to battle to be heard. We got there ahead of the six person party and the 8 person party. However the timing was very off for the restaurant this night. We chose pizza thinking it would be quick and painless. We were here for almost 3 hours, we ordered two sodas, a salad to split, one large pizza and that's it. We had to flag people down for soda refills and after placing our order for the pizza about 15 min after sitting down, we then waited about an hour and 45 min before it arrived. Everything tasted amazing and it is obviously a hot local spot! But from my experience if you want quick food with a more chill ambience I would suggest other restaurants in this area. If you have a rowdy crowd ready to have some fun drinks and an absolute need for pizza they have you covered!
