Slice of combo pizza from this place was okay. Loved the crust and cheese. But the toppings were not very generous. 4 stars because I am @ Ax and happy I am flying back home and needed a bite before boarding!

OMG. I have met the best and the BIGGEST lobster roll of all time. I. Am. So. HAPPY! Gracious staff, truly exceptional meal. The bun was soft and fresh and toasty and the filling was heavenly. Huge chunks of tasty delectable lobster and virtually nothing else. As it should be, the lobster was the star of the show. Today is my 70th birthday. I travelled from my home in Northern California to do two things: shop the Brimfield flea market...and find the best lobster roll EVER! Two bucket items DONE!!! Thank youLobster Roll

Ahhh Papa GIno's ( now serving d'Angelo's brand grinder also ) Long gone are the days of caldor and the east brook malls glory days. Grabbing a slice of pie and heading to the back to play videos games while your mom and dad shopped at radio shack and puppy love. 30/40 years gone now ... yet this papa ginos remains In a landscape literally littered with pizza shops This place remains.. Every other papa ginos in Connecticut has closed due to downsizing - see citation below ! Yet ... this one remains Giving back ? Yes - hundreds of high school and college kids made a good living working here during summers Locally owned ? Yes this is a franchised establishment ( I've been told ) To sum up I hope I die before something happens to this place On September 18, 2018, Bunker Hill Capital Partners ended their investment with PGHC Holdings.[8] On November 4, 2018, dozens of Papa Gino's locations closed abruptly, including their only location in Maine, at the Auburn Mall. Bringing the chain from over 150 locations to 97. And yet .. this one survived

Maybe some better lighting but a very nice interior with vintage grade school chairs!! Food: presented well and very tasty, pizza was good but had to ask for some crushed red pepper and seasonings. The beet gnocchi was excellent and the hummus was great too. The meatballs were in a skillet and were great but possibly needs more sauce Overall: 100% if in the area it's a revisit for me!!!

If you're on a pizza tour or just have a hankering for great pizza and good beer, Trigo needs to be your destination. This was my second visit in the last 12 months, and both times they delivered consistently delicious food and excellent service. You're greeted warmly with a smile, and the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The pizza here is wood fired with a thin, crispy crust with just a bit of char. Don't be surprised if you see a small burnt spot or two--that's intentional and part of the style. If you enjoy the artisan-style pizzas from places like Pepe's, Sally's, Krust, or Otto, you'll feel right at home here. Located in the somewhat unassuming (and occasionally gritty) downtown Willimantic area, Trigo is truly a hidden gem. Street parking is available, or you can park in the rear lots and walk up the alley to the front entrance. We ordered the classic red cheese pizza, which was savory, crispy, and exactly what you want from a great pie. The real standout, though, was the Lemon White pizza. It was fantastic--unique, bright, and seriously delicious. Thin slices of whole lemon are baked right into it, and they're completely edible. A drizzle of honey and a touch of chili pepper bring everything together in a really memorable way. The beer selection is solid as well. We enjoyed the Keeper's Irish Red and the Mountain Magic cider. Honestly, give Trigo a shot--you won't regret it. My only complaint? They're closed on Sundays... which is a bit of a tragedy.

LOL Tony's is a Greek Style, neighborhood pizza spot. I ordered a large red pizza with "Grinder Meatball", peppers and onions when I was about 15 minutes out. I arrived. I took some pics from the parking lot, and by the time I walked inside, they had just pulled my pizza out of the oven and boxed it. The transaction was easy since I had paid online. If you order this Grinder Meatball topping, which seems to be somewhat of a signature, DO NOT, freak out when you open the box and don't see meatballs. The onions and peppers are on top of the cheese. And they mix up the thin sliced meatballs with the sauce, and put them under the cheese. Given how they work the Grinder Meatball topping, my comments may not apply to all of Tony's Pizzas. First of all, I like this style of thin cut , almost wiry, white onion and green peppers. Good appearance. Good flavor. The crust was medium thick and pan-crisped. Fairly standard Greek Style crust. Also, I liked the cheese, but it could have been a bit more well done for my tastes. It was well melted. But there was minimal marbling on top, which I like. I liked the meatball topping and Tony's gave you a lot of meatball pieces. Here's the only thing I didn't love about this pizza. Because the meatball slices were mixed into the sauce and they were so generous with the meatballs, the flavor of the sauce got lost. I couldn't tell if the sauce was average, good or very good. It just wasn't noticeable in relation to the meatball flavor. I would recommend asking for a side of sauce and dip pizza into the sauce, or maybe add extra sauce to the pizza. I think the crust would hold up to that. This probably wouldn't be an issue if you got a cheese pizza or a pepperoni pizza. Tony's has a bunch of inside seating. I suspect families eat hear regularly. I was there early. So I'm not sure how busy it gets. If I lived in the area, I could see regularly ordering from Tony's. I bet they have good meatball grinders too. 4.25 Stars
