I can't believe there are no reviews for this place yet! My husband and I went to see a movie at the Drexel Theater in Grandview and then decided to take a walk to find some food. This place was just a few minutes down the road and had a nice outdoor patio. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. We got a medium pizza with half mushrooms and half cheese. The pizza came out pretty fast and it was nice and hot. The crust was thin, but chewy. The sauce was tasty and I like that they sprinkled some Italian herbs on top. There were a few too many mushrooms, but the amount of cheese was just right in my opinion (not too much). They also cut the pieces really small, which to me is kind of like short chapters in a book. It makes it easier to enjoy. I love cheap, informal restaurants and this place was awesome! read more

Great Pizza and probably one of the best Italian subs I have ever had. I have ordered here numerous times and the quality is always great. I wish I would have found this place when I first moved to Grandview. I guess there is a reason why Panzera's has been in business since the 60's. read more

grabbed a couple of slices here around 2pm one day. it was not fresh, it was barely warm. they didn't heat it up for us?! I don't know. Why not put a little effort into winning over new customers? well, whatever. I will say that despite its lukewarm nature, the pizza has potential. good potential. it could be delicious hot and fresh. so I'll give Panzera's another chance, possibly someday soon. read more

I really wanted to love this place but there was too many other good joints to say this was fantasic. I will say this pizza had a nice thin/crispy crust and very cheesy. Again - only in Grandview- the pizza had a smokey flavor going on. Again, I want to love it but not a huge fan. read more

Not sure about the bad reviews on here. A lot of emotional drama that has nothing to do with the pizza. I went this week for the first time in years. The pizza is very good. Had a few meatballs as appetizers. They were the bomb as well. The marina sauce was tasty enough to pick up the bowl, tilt the head posterior and slurp down the rest of the sauce. Which, of course, is appropriate since this is a plastic chair and plastic table cloth joint. If you really like pizza and don't get caught up on the type of chairs you sit on to eat it, you will not be disappointed. This is one of the best pizza places in Columbus. Oh, and the owners is a really nice guy. Who doesn't want to support a local business that cares about the quality of their product and treats their customers with respect?. read more

We decided to go back to Panzera's in UA, a favorite of ours from the past after getting awful pizzas from two other established UA places. We had a perfect pizza tonight from Panzera's, served by a friendly guy who cares about customer service and serving great pizza. If you are looking for delicious pizza and like to support small businesses instead of those huge pizza chains, Panzera's of UA is the place to go. Many pizza shops have tried to make it in Grandview, but Panzeras is a survivor from the 1960's. Many have gone up against them and failed. We seem to maintain about 5 great, stand alone, family shops in our little area. Panzeras has been in the mix all these years and has set a standard us old guys like. We know the family, the old stone floor gas Blodgett Oven, the way they pull the pans out from under dem pies for the last moment. When I moved here in 1965, that's how it was done and it's cool to see the old process now. read more

Great thin crust pick up pizza! Similar to Donatos. The pepperoni is very crusty and delicious.

Best pizza in Grandview and one of few true local pizza places left in Columbus. Classic thin crust pizza, cooked just right.

This place makes some extremely delicious pizza. If I could define the "type", it'd be most closely similar to Donatos, however 100 times better, less greasy, and just more yummy. :-) read more

We arrived at Panzera's pizza because the other places to eat around it had no parking or needed to park valet. They have their own medium-sized parking lot. We had the 13" "Crowd Pleaser" pizza and two cold bottles of coke for $20.00. The pizza sauce and the cheese were somewhat bland but lots of banana peppers gave it zing. It could have benefited from more pepperoni. We ate outdoors under a roof and inside a fenced area with ceiling fans making a nice breeze. There was no indoor dining. I was glad they used cardboard under the pizza to soak up the extra grease pizzas always produce. They had a ballgame playing on speakers but it wasn't too loud that we could not talk over the noise. read more

I'm from new york so, im very picky about pizza. I've tried several pizza places here in columbus, from figlios to dominos. On a whim i decided to go to panzera's pizza with a couple of friends. There was no seating inside, just a patio with plastic chairs and metal tables. We ordered from menu's printed from a home printer as we admired the family photos plastered all over the walls. The menu was short and sweet and to the point. Pizza, salads, pasta. We ordered a large pizza with fresh roasted garlic and mushrooms. The staff was very friendly and the service was fast. If your looking for pizza thats simple yet delicious without any fancy atmosphere. This is the place for you. read more

Their pizza is pretty good (lot better than most of the chains). My only grip is I ordered delivery and when the driver got there I paid with a $20 (for a $10 pizza). He told me he only had $4 change. After he left I called the shop and he returned with the rest of my change. But I thought it was pretty shady. I get tired of the eating the same pizza all the time. I usually order from Papa Johns, but I had a coupon for Panzera's & decided to try it out. Thirty minutes later it was ready to be picked up. Thinner crust than I'm used to, but you can get a thicker crust for an additional price. The herb seasoning on top was unexpected, yet delicious. Theres better pizza to be had. Panzara's is pretty expensive for run of the mill Cbus style pizza (not saying all "columbus style" pizza is run of the mill, it isn't - many are VERY good, Panzera's is just "Meh".) The past few times I picked up pizza from there its been more and more expensive. Im not saying never raise prices, but not every 3 mos. When I lived in Grandview, this was my go to pizza place. It's a round pie, but cut into smaller squares and was great. The sauce was great and the cheese was nice and hot. Too bad they don't deliver downtown. I wouldn't go here for a sit down meal but it's perfect for takeout. read more
