The coffee is consistently great here and there's always seating. I paid $9 for an oat latte and couldn't understand why. The 15 % gratuity is included but then the screen to add gratuity pops up. This is deceptive and very off putting as it wasn't mentioned. When I asked, I was told it was written on the menu. Most of us know what kind of coffee we will order so who looks at a menu? AND the expectation is that cashiers are friendly-never experienced that here. Employers should pay a fare wage then the cashiers might not be so misleading. It all felt manipulative-be more transparent and write it in large font by the register and take away the tip prompt screen. April 2, 2023: I took transit from North Beach to come meet a friend who was working at Panta Queen. I planned to work on my laptop there. But I wanted to walk around Coconut Grove first. And then I wanted to sit somewhere where I wouldn't have to pay for waiter service, because I was low on cash. First I ate fajitas from across the street. I ate them at a table at the CocoWalk outdoor mall. then I discovered panther coffee. I got an iced coffee. It was tasty. I used the Wi-Fi. And I sat in the window which gave me a great view of people walking by. It's a nice place to work. There are lots of outlets to plug in your computer and phone. read more

Delicious coffee. My macadamia milk latte was definitely quality. Super appreciate that they don't upcharge for vegan milk. That said, it's expensive. $6 for a latte pre-tip. Not the best work environment. A few tables indoors and a few outside. Didn't see many (any?) outlets and the area and tables are fairly small. The wifi had full bars but didn't work for me or the guy next to me. Service is fairly typical of upscale coffee joints. Not the friendliest, but quick and not rude by any means. All told, seems a good place to grab coffee to-go, not so much to stay a while. read more

Go to coffee in Miami, predictably artisanal. Had their East Coast espresso and was really impressed by how balanced it was. Their haiti blend is also very chocolatey and I would highly recommend it for any milk drinks. Service should be pretty fast but can get slowed down a ton of people coming. This is the worst coffee place in Coconut Grove. First they sell a "Brazilian Original coffee" and it tastes bad (as if it's sour) and it's the same taste as their "original"coffee. BRAZILIAN coffee is delicious everywhere else. Second, they charge you a service fee of 15% for the baristas and then when you go pay they ask for a 18% or 20% TIP ! So what is this extra tip for ? They justify saying that there's a note about the 15% written right close to the cashier but nobody for sure can pay attention to that and most of customers for sure end up paying 33 % more in a single coffee !!! I mean my $7 dollars Nitro cold brew ended up as $12 ! And the Nitro vanilla cold foam was horrible same bad taste as their "Brazilian coffee" and no vanilla cold nitro foam... I used to be a daily patron and fan of Panther Coffee for five years. Just moved back to Miami and went there for the first time in 4 years. First of all, I ordered a nitro cold brew "for here" and was served in a flimsy plastic cup instead of a glass. Secondly, my bill for that coffee with a tip came out to $13!!! When I went to the bathroom it was absolutely filthy, with urine all over the floor, an overflowing trash can, and a giant steaming pile of in the clogged toilet. Besides the general ambiance, which ten years ago was a cool industrial look is now just dirty and tired. The first time that I tried Panther Coffee was in....Aruba. Yep, not even in America! The coffee shop that we frequented in Aruba used coffee beans from Panther Coffee so when we stayed in Miami, we definitely had to check it out in person. Sooo a few quick things: 1. Buy coffee beans = get 1 free drink I say that's a win win! My husband and I bought 2 bags to share with our family and our drinks were free. 2. A variety of milks available From oat to soy, you name it! I ended up getting an iced latte with oat milk and it was incredibly delicious - perfect for that hot and humid weather. 3. Indecisive? Before I get into why I am giving this location a poor review, let me state that I'm a fan of Panther Coffee and have been to the original Wynwood location several times. So upon my first visit to the Grove store I had high expectations. Here's the run down, 1. Entire staff were just " going through the motions". No smiles nor friendliness at all. 2. Wait time for a latte was excessively long 3. Drink was just averay. I could have done better at home 4. My buddy asked for a Cold brew, upon asking for some whole milk was given skim milk ftom thr fridge- despite the fact that there WAS whole milk on the counter. 5. Store was fairly filthy. Tables in front were left with garbage on them the entire time we were there , about 20 minutes. There is a Starbucks directly across the street. Their tipping system is misleading!! This is the reason tipping is frowned upon!! Coming from an industry worker for 12+ years. Be aware, that there is already 15% included as a service fee in the price of the coffee. When I asked why the price was different from the menu, the cashier looked at the menu and didn't have an answer. After a minute she mentioned the 15% being included with a small sign on the register. I asked for it to be removed (I always leave cash gratuity) and she said this can't be done. Legally this HAS to be done if requested. All I felt was SCAM going on. And then when the tipping option comes up on the screen, it doesn't prompt for 3% or 5% additional... it asks for 18% - 20% ON TOP of the 15% they are already getting. Again, this is what is ruining the idea for tips!!! Funny how the cashier skipped this screen VERY quickly for me not to see it. Lastly, if you ask for a copy of your receipt, you may notice an alcohol tax, even if you are only buying a coffee... WHY? I was in last week for a coffee and was a little surprised that the business is a "card and contactless" payments only place that wont accept US cash . Had been hoping to try their coffee and support a local shop. Unfortunately , I'm also the type who wont put a $3 cup of coffee on my credit card and I don't have a debit card. Had already "masked up" to comply with the stores policy tho I think its not needed, so wasn't really happy to begin with. My experience could be better. The coffee was really good and there were an okay amount of choices. The only reason that i gave a low star was because they are not loyal to their word. I had ordered a food item that showed on their counter as $4 but I was charged $5. I had also ordered 4 of this item but when I had talk to the manager she told me that this was a mistake and took the price tag off the counter and told me that she can't refund me nor can she do anything about it. This is not professional. If you made a mistake, accept it and do what is right. Also this place is charging an alcohol fee?? I had no alcohol. Great coffee. It's sad because I spend around $50-$100 a week on coffee here and I've had many many poor experiences with the staff. I come in with a big smile and ready to initiate positive interactions. I treat the staff warmly, even when they find a way to make what little interaction we have unpleasant. They can't even treat their loyal customers with kindness. I don't know, maybe I am just used to southern hospitality, but Miami is getting ridiculous with the attitude. Must be some very unhappy people working there, it's sad. Specifically the female staff. The lady with blue streaks in her hair can be very unpleasant. New Panther Coffee? You know I'm there! Nestled in the heart of Coconut Grove, this outpost has quickly found a home. On a Saturday afternoon, it was packed with people when I arrived, but traffic must ebb and flow because it was practically empty after about an hour when I was making my way out. If this is your first Panther Coffee experience, know they have a wide variety of beans for both espresso and coffee drinks and all are explained in detail on the menu. Preparation is about quality over speed so expect to wait a few minutes before your coffee is served. It's worth it. For eats, they have a small bakery case by the register with cookies, pies, quiches, and other sweet and savory pastries. I'm a fan of the packaged Om Nom Nom vegan cookies and grabbed a tasty peanut butter one on my last visit. I don't see this spot becoming as crowded as the Wynwood location so plan on adding it to my coffee shop rotation. I do wish that they had more tables, rather than a long bench and some counter seats. The setup isn't ideal for a meeting or workday with multiple people wanting to collaborate, but for a going solo or grabbing to go, it'll work! read more

This Panther Coffee is kind of wedged in between a wine bar and a hair salon. It is somewhat hidden, victim of in a non descriptive facade. I have been there a bunch of times and still miss the entrance. Inside, it is pretty plain, unlike the other locations. I know that comparisons are hideous, trust me, but I can't help thinking of the Wynwood location or the Beach location. Still, Panther is my source of hipster coffee... So, if you like good coffee, you have to come to Panther. Despite many coffee houses serving Panther coffee around Miami, the Panther locations still have an advantage vis-a-vis the other ones: they get freshly roasted coffee. And it makes all the difference. I normally come here to get my cortaditos, but with the year-round summer temperatures of Miami, I have been getting iced coffees. I normally get the ice mocha latte. I am pretty sure chocolate has some medicinal/health value, so I don't feel too bad having an iced coffee versus a smoothie, for instance. I can't help it, I love the cocoa taste of the mocha latte... My secret wish, which just became public, is that Panther gets one of those blenders that make frappe drinks. I would love nothing more than to have a mocha or a caramel frappe from Panther, for example. Those things are addictive like cheese puffs. I think at least the Coconut Grove location should have that blender. Panther kids, if you are reading, suggest this for a promotion or a free coffee. Are you reading? Besides the coffee, the usual suspects loom around. Croissants, muffins, cakes, empanadas, all types of pastries and bites. First and last time here. Came in and it was not busy - we were the only ones at the register. Not greeted - just looked at. We placed our simple order of a coffee with cream and hot chocolate. Waited over 20 minutes and when coffee came - had to ask for the cream. Hot chocolate was Luke warm at best so threw both those out and just the overwhelming lack of friendliness by the entire staff esp the woman waiting on us with the red tipped hair color - don't work in a customer facing job if you don't like people- plenty of better coffee places to go to. read more
