We've been regulars here, but after our experience this afternoon (4/19), we won't be back. Service was terrible. My fiancé was already at the register ordering when I walked in to ask for our cortado in a proper Gibraltar glass (as we've always had it before at this establishment). The staff member heard me and blatantly ignored me, helping others instead. It was clear he didn't want to deal with the request. He even kept telling other customers (loud enough for me to hear) that everything was to-go only. Instead of addressing me, he eventually had his coworker step in to take my order. When I repeated my request, they both looked bothered and declined it stating that the OWNER told them to serve in to-go cups only due to the "event," despite no signs or anything indicating a change from any other busy weekend we've seen previously. The whole situation felt dismissive and poorly handled. What's even more frustrating is the complete disregard for both quality and environment. Any regular coffee drinker knows a cortado doesn't taste the same in a paper cup versus a proper Gibraltar glass--the ratio and experience are completely off. On top of that, serving everything in paper cups lined with plastic isn't exactly a healthy or environmentally conscious choice. It felt like pure convenience for the staff rather than any real reason. Really disappointing, and not a place we'll be recommending. If you are looking for a quality coffee and good service, look elsewhere. read more

If you're looking for quality coffee in Miami, Finca is the place to visit. The beans and artistry behind the drinks is magical. Finca's is also nestled in this outdoor shared park with greenery. Don't go here if you like the taste of espresso, you will be served a glass of milk. Here's a photo example of a latte with an extra espresso shot that was an additions $3.50. It's one thing to have an expensive coffee shop that ACTUALLY tastes great, but it's a whole other thing to have one that's not only expensive, but a rip off. I have been to Buena Vista so many times but it has always been for happy hours or dinners so never had the opportunity to have Finca's coffee because of I rarely drink coffee that late. This time I made it up there only for the coffee. I wanted to finally give it a try. Their coffee is certainly of good quality. It checked all, or pretty much all, boxes, such as strength, acidity, balance, etc. Service was friendly and ambiance was nice. While the space inside the store is limited, it has a beautiful seating area outside should you want to have your caffeine al fresco. During my visit, I had two main issues though. The first one, kind of linked to the second one, had to do with coffee presentation (no leaf, no heart, just straight from the machine over milk) which is not a big deal but kind of a given when you are charging such high prices. How did they miss the mark here? By now you know what the second problem is. I understand coffee prices reached a historic peak early in the year and they have been slowly coming down since then, but I would expect Finca is less exposed to these market price fluctuations when they are vertically integrated. Either way, their prices (for any given coffee drink) are about $$1.5-$2 higher than the competition for the same quality. All in all, I would come back if I'm in the area, maybe next time I get lucky with some leaf/heart decoration :) read more

Loved this coffee shop. Very unique setting in a little community in the trees randomly off side of street. Ambiance alone for this community (several stores, restaurants, bars-including Michelin star Turkish restaurant) is worth the trip. The service was stellar. Being first time in shop, the barista gave me samples and smells of beans. The cold brew super smooth and on chocolate forward side. They also do espresso flights featuring their roasts in espresso form to sample vs one another. They do a great job of educating, however, that some of the roasts will taste better as espresso while others better in pour over or cold brew. Finca's became my favorite coffee place in Miami. The thing is that not only the coffee is insanely delicious, but the atmosphere is enchanting and the service is perfect. Upper Buena Vista is an island of paradise that transports you somewhere in the beachside village with meditative music under the huge tree shadow.  The service is wonderful and so friendly! I forgot to ask for my coffee in a ceramic cup, but they still remade it for me. The coffee itself is 10/10; the beans, roast, foam--perfect. Pastries are 6/10--solid good--and can satisfy your sweet tooth needs, but since it's not the bakery, the freshness is lacking. Parking in Buena Vista can be tricky, but you won't regret coming to Finca's. And there are many cool food places around, so you can combine brunch and a coffee stop to have the ultimate weekend morning. read more

I ordered a simple latte with vanilla and I could feel the happiness run down to my core with each sip. The barista was kind and patient, and even though I was the first customer of the day, it felt like they were a well-oiled machine. Not an ounce of morning stress. The spinach croissant was sooooo good. 10/10. Perfectly flaky with the right amount of filling. I got an oat milk latte with an extra shot and it was good but the espresso did have a burnt taste to it that happens sometimes. A croissant and a latte came out to $19 so def on the more expensive side but a cute coffee shop nonetheless. I stopped by Finca's for a pick me up. It's a cute coffee shop located in the Buena Vista area. There's a couple of seats inside and some outside. There's merch, pan de jamon (ham bread) and a variety of coffee and non coffee drinks. The employee was pretty nice. I ordered a cortadito and was given a cortado. This tiny drink was $5.00 and with tip came out to $6.00. Which felt very expensive for such a small amount of coffee and milk. The coffee was pretty good and strong at least so it's a plus with the quality. I'll definitely order a latte next time to get the full coffee experience. The area is also nice and walkable to enjoy your beverage. read more

We enjoyed our coffees. Fincas is off an outdoor shared "courtyard" with restaurants and little shops, many of which having a new age bend. I believe it's called the Upper Buena Vista shopping mall which an enclave of shops surrounding an outdoor area with a mammoth banyan tree as its focal point. This is unique to Miami. read more

Finca's is in a beautiful location, in this small court area where you can walk around. It's quite warm but not hot, and the place itself is rather charming. We tried a hot vanilla latte, an iced mocha one, an almond croissant, and the guava chocolates they sell. The sizes are pretty small for what you're getting. Honestly, I can't really recommend this place for the coffee-- it tasted average. I expected a bit more from the coffee due to the price. The mocha was also flat and rather uninspired. As for the croissant, it was pretty good, although nothing amazing. The guava chocolate was good. The service was nice. The first drink I had tasted sour, so they remade it for me free of charge which was rather kind. Overall, I think if you're in this area and just want to sit down and have a cup of joe, then go for it. I wouldn't really go out of my way for this coffee. read more

Stopped by to get a quick lunch after yoga. I ordered a cold brew (which is actually good) but the main reason I'm writing this is because of the ham and cheese bread I ordered...... it's easily one of the worst things I've ever had. It's basically a giant rock solid piece of Cuban bread with the worlds thinnest slice of ham inside. It's literally inedible. So incredibly dry and very tough. Worst part was this coffee and horrible croissant thing cost $18. I could've had a whole meal literally anywhere. Definitely do not recommend. read more

Lovely coffee shop inside the Upper Buena Vista shops. I went with a latte and croissant to go. The barista was super friendly and made us feel very welcomed. The latte was the perfect temperature and I got the almond croissant. It was flaky with a blot of almond paste in the center. I would prefer more almond paste but that's just me. My first stop in Miami and of course it had to be coffee! Finca's Coffee was the same direction as my hotel from the airport and the black coffee options seemed promising so I knew I had to make a stop. The barista was friendly and knowledgeable about the coffee they offer (all beans are grown in Honduras), so we had a nice conversation about our coffee preferences. They seem to roast beans every week and currently have three offerings (I believe a 12 oz. bag starts at $18)? V60 POUR OVER - 7 There's lots of black coffee options here - they have the Chemex, V60, French Press, and Aeropress. My preference is the Chemex, but sadly they were out of filters so the V60 is always a good alternative. The barista recommended the CATUAI-LEMPIRA beans (tasting notes: cane sugar, green apple, apricot) which had a bright initial taste with a mild sweet after taste of fruit. Not too acidic. I'd recommend waiting for the coffee to cool down before drinking too much of it. When it's hot, it's hard to taste much of the notes and comes off more watery. Give it five or so minutes and you will taste more of it! It's a pleasant and light, perfect on a hot and lazy Sunday afternoon. It's a bit expensive but you're also paying for the presentation and vibes. Definitely enjoy your drink outside for the nice weather and vibes. I'd probably cop a bag of coffee in a bit. read more

What a cute little coffee shop in Upper Buena Vista. I popped in there this weekend and enjoyed a cardamom cold brew. The barista let me know they make the syrup in house. It was such a not too sweet added smoothness to the cold brew I ordered. They top their cold brew with mint which made it both refreshing and a hint of comforting all at once. They have a bunch of coffee drinks and some bags of coffee for you to purchase as well. I enjoyed it and would definitely be back for an afternoon pick me up to stroll around the shops. read more

Hanging out in Miami this afternoon and wanted a REAL cup of coffee. ¡OHMAIGAH! Finca's is everything my heart and soul long for. First of all...they have an incredible story! The company is family owned. Literally different family members grew this company from the soil up! Second...they grow their own beans in Honduras after YEARS of perfection. Third...they roast their own perfected beans. Fourth...the customer service we just experienced was top notch. The owners should be very proud of how Dieter represents their business. He clearly takes amazing pride in his work. Dieter took the time to tell us the story of the owners and chat about coffee beans. No one else was in the store at the time and I was nerding out over all of it! Fifth...he made each of us the most amazing lattes! Hands down THE best one that ever touched my lips. Sixth...(I don't think I have ever gotten this far in a numbered list! I'm committed now!) Lots of pastry options. We ordered two croissants, strawberry and Nutella, which he warmed in the oven for us. These are the real deal kind of croissants. The strawberry one is a homemade jam/jelly of spectacular ooey-gooey-goodness. Seventh...the coffee shop is a cute, small, quaint place. It has this industrial vibe that just...VIBES. It feels homey and inviting to me. Eighth...(oh yeah, I'm still committed!) the area/shopping center that Finca's is in is like no other. Multiple business fronts face each other with massive shade trees and tables for enjoying coffee or dessert (from other businesses). Very doggie friendly with fresh water bowls in different spots. This is the best coffee in Miami, hands-down. My husband and I go here multiple times a week because it is truly the best coffee around. We recently learned the story of the owner, who sources all of the coffee beans from his own farm in Honduras. He roasts all the beans himself locally in Miami. It truly is a hidden gem. Not to mention the area it is located in is beautiful and a great spot to grab a cuppa coffee with a friend or do some work on a gorgeous day. The space inside is pretty small with only two seats, but there is plenty of beautiful outdoor seating.
