We have these doors since 2022. It's a poorly made product. The main door that opens always malfunctions and our lock has broken several times. The customer service is bad and several times I had to submit numerous request to get a response. Currently my main lock is broken and they send me an email saying it's due to bad alignment and it's my contractors fault and not theirs. The LOCK is broken! The door doesn't close, it's an urgent security issue and they are blaming the contractor for alignment problem and saying we don't maintain it well. In last 4 yrs , the door has malfunctioned 5-6 times at minimum ( I told cost at numerous complaints I have lodged). Now they want to blame others because the lock is broken ( for the 2 nd time). read more

We have had our 5 panel Panoramic door for 5 years. We live in Nor Cal and open it every day when the temp is over 70 degF. We really couldn't be happier with the product, the salesperson (Jennifer) or the service support (Cori). Every time we need support, the response is quick and the service team they have sent has been outstanding. We looked at many products before selecting Panoramic, and are very satisfied with all aspects of this product. It is truly one of the greatest features in our home. Note that when you request a bid...they will give you the deposit price in BOLD (50%) Then have you docusign your life away that you understand the price you were given doesn't include anything they talked about...then they will bill you a 2nd time to ship the doors to an installer. Then the installer will need a deposit to put you on the schedule, then will come out to install and tell you your home needs to be reframed because the Panoramic rep didn't correctly measure. When you want a non-standard product, nothing is 100% perfect. We love our choice of Panoramic Doors and how their people and company stand by the product. We had the install done in fall 2019. It is a beautiful design where each panel can move and is not attached to others. It also does not require a heavy header. We love the door placement and how it opens, and Jennifer B. helped us design it to maximum satisfaction. This is the smallest track for the screen, and we definitely needed that with the bugs in our area. Yes, there were problems, but the company stands by it every time and makes them right. I love this part about them. There were some leaks in the glass and replacement glass was ordered and installed. There were some issues with the tape, but replacement tape was installed. Don H. is definitely a great installer guy. Recently we had a break-in and one of the panels was shattered by the burglar to gain entry into our home. The speed with which Panoramic Doors team handled this replacement has us thanking our stars every day! I LOVE these doors! We originally put them in 2014 in Michigan as a sunroom opening. By 2016 I already needed replacement parts for a door hinge. I am currently requesting my second set of parts for stripped screws. The opening door often has to be tightened down and there are gouges in the metal from the opening continuing to be out of plum. A BIG Thank You to Jennifer B and Don for stopping in to make an adjustment to my Panoramic Doors today. We have had them installed at our home about six months now and they are Fabulous!!! They make it feel like we are in a tropical location with the twenty foot wide opening from inside to outside. It has helped with airflow as well, keeping our great room cooler and saving us on running the AC. Look forward to entertaining again once this pandemic is over. The doors will allow for greater guest flow and are quite the conversation topic as well. For reference, we purchased the 6 door set with left side swing out. Also ordered the screen with it. Best decision ever. Didn't think we would use it, now it's the only thing we close some nights, leaving the doors completely open to enjoy the evening cool breeze. These doors are just ok, but like the previous reviewer mentioned, the product is only as good as the service and Panoramic Doors has almost no after service care, it feels like there's more time spent responding to these yelp reviews than actual service requests smh. I really wish I went with another company that was more courteous and responsive to follow up maintenance requests - these doors need a lot of it! We purchased our doors late 2018 and we've had to call a service request twice, each time they billed us $300. The main door rubs along the bottom track probably because of sagging, more problems/damage is being created on the doors with every week that goes by without Panoramic Doors providing service, but hey, they don't care cause it'll just be more $300 visits for them in the future. Oh and when you do try and book a service request, be prepared to provide a million photos and re-send all receipts, emails and account information (that they should already have) with a nameless "customer service rep". They first asked me for the Order Number, in a separate email they asked for photos of the front, in another separate email they asked me for photos from the inside, then in another separate email asked me to send detailed photos of "an image of the entire system, showing the top/bottom tracks, jambs, all closed panels"... thinking back now... I was probably talking to a customer service robot. Anyway, if you're looking for panel doors, better look elsewhere. read more

Spent thousands and thousands of dollars getting three doors and one window installed in 2017. They were defective from the moment they were installed (the company verified they were installed correctly though they tried to have that be the problem initially) and they are still defective. They sent the parts but no one to actually put them in and fix the doors, each month it seems, another one fogs up or doesn't slide or almost falls off the slide. Weatherstripping is torn and ripped from simple use (we are only at the house 6 month of the year) and they whistle and leak constantly. Do yourself a favor and look for a better product and certainly one that has good customer service because that sure isn't this one. read more

Long story short - their doors tilt down as it opens after the initial installation and did not open fully because it could not clear the floor. Jennifer from Panoramic door blamed the installer, whom she recommended, and our floor which was proven to not have issues. After weeks of chasing, they still didn't want to take responsibility whatsoever although there was 10 year warranty on the door regardless who installed it. A technician who came out also saw the door tilting and agreed to that fact but reported internally that the door was fine. Because Panoramic door did not want to take any responsibility, only possibly solution was to raise the floor track. The installer came back and helped. The door still tilts down as it opens up. It really is not worth any time talking about Panoramic door and Jennifer from the Company, but I wanted to post this so others are aware before making decision they will regret. We had a four panel and a three-panel Panoramic Door installed. Both have leaked from the start. We've had the techs out many times, contractors inspecting, changing, taking the doors out and re-installing,etc. Still, the doors leak air and water. As a reference our total door cost was $17,724.21. Install is, of course, separately billed by a contractor. So total job was probably around $25,000 or so. But its still going on almost two years later. Want Panoramic doors that don't seal to one another? Call Panoramic Doors. There is no way to adjust the gap between the doors lengthwise. So if your house settles, or your doors get hot in the sun and heat up and expand, then you'll get some gaps between the doors. So you get to enjoy the whistling of the wind and worse, the rain will drip between the doors onto your hardwood floors.. Product Selection: While very nice to talk with, the local rep clearly does not understand the limitations of the product. She confirmed that the lower track would "be fine" in our application of a transition from a second-floor kitchen out to a deck. It has leaked in every rain storm and ruined a section of our hardwood floors. See photos attached. Want to wait weeks or months, for a tech to come out and take a look? Call Panoramic Doors. Yes, they schedule a tech visit 3-8 weeks out based upon when the techs will come up from Southern CA. Enjoy watching your floor swell up from the rain while waiting for their techs to come out. Ants - As a result of the leaks in the doors and the water flowing under the hardwood floors we had a colony of ants move in. So add in many exterminator visits, cutting back the hardwood floor, vacuuming out thousands of ants, and re-doing the floor to your potential expense list. Want rude, curt and insensitive emails sent to you when you have problems with the doors? Call Panoramic Doors. I have copies of them if you'd like to read them. They will tell you to call your contractor as if the design is not flawed. After going around with them a few times we agreed to pay additional to purchase a new lower track (the higher track) that should have been recommended in the first place. Add in the $550 for the track, $400 for labor to change the windows around so they face the right way, and $300 for some obscene "Service Fee" and you get another $1500 bill. Do you want a retractable screen that you cannot open all the way or gets stuck along the track? Call Panoramic Doors. They didn't spec the screen correctly either so it interferes with the door handles. Installation instructions are horrid & design has obvious leak points. They expect your 3rd party installer to install the frame pieces square and then silicone the corners. Really? Does a $17,000 door prevent water intrusion based solely on a $3.50 tube of silicone? Better door designs are welded frames. Want your door company to point their finger at your contractor for every design flaw? Call Panoramic Doors. The install instructions briefly mention consulting your contractor about installing a Sill Pan under the door. This should be bold and highlighted and they should provide a proper Sill Pan design that is compatible with their leaking doors. This, along with a detailed pictorial description of what applications each track is designed for, should be provided to the customer, designer, and contractor. With water coming across the top of their tracks, out the corner where it' not welded, and down the length of the top of the track you should have one hell of a sill pan to avoid water intrusion. Want to wait months for parts? Call Panoramic Doors. I had to call back, followup, nag, email, voicemail, and almost threaten to get my parts. Horrible customer service. Want the technicians that come out to work on your door to bad mouth the company and the design? Call Panoramic Doors. Yes, just about all the techs that came out had nothing but bad stories about the Pano doors. From lousy installation design to cracks, loose pieces, etc. One of the techs told me he would never install one in his house. Nice. Real nice. Want cracked plastic adjustment blocks after only a month of use? Call Panoramic Doors. The tech told us they crack all the time. Just back the Allen screw out a bit. Door won't be level, but at least the plastic will stop cracking. Want a panoramic door that comes from the factory out of square? You know who to call. They came out twice to true up the same door, no luck. Still out by 1/4 inch. So we now have a large gap in the weather seal at the top than the bottom. Want doors that bind and have metal on metal at the door jam? Pano door again. Doors grind against one another until the metal shaves away. Techs used a black sharpie pen to cover it up. Do the doors allow amazing sunlight in? Yes. Too bad they allow water, ants, wind noise, etc in as well. Stay away unless you enjoy this sort of thing.... read more

We installed 3 doors in our lodge in Oregon. They open up our views to the outdoors and allow us to have indoor outdoor living. They are so easy to open and close. Our contractor had never installed them before and everyone who visits the house is amazed how easy they move and swing. Jennifer was terrific and patient in working with us and our architect. We regret bragging about how amazing their service and products to our friends in the beginning of our purchase because they were so on top of it to sell and ship their products but little did we know, we received some items that were defective. When we installed, we filed the claim of the defective products and that's when we're being tossed around between the retailer to the manufacturer. Whenever we asked for an update of the replacement, either no response, or we're being forwarded to different people, and lastly the answer is "we don't know when" Let's see how this ends up, we will definitely update the review. read more

We had an issue with our Panoramic Door rubbing the bottom jam and some latching problems. Don Hamilton came out and took the time to do the right fix (took apart the door and reshimmed it). The product is ok, but a product is only as good as service. I had to call 7 times to book a service visit and that was after emailing dozens of time. Right now I've been waiting for a reply from this company about an issue with the screen for almost a month. I am not sure why it is so hard to reply to email. We spent 12.3k on two door systems as well as 8.5k in installation. As others have mentioned, the concept is great but the execution/quality is lacking, for the cost. We faced issues with missing parts and conflicting stories from different technicians, but in the end, after several months, everything was sorted out. Kathy Kuza handled our order and has been the redeeming factor in the inconveniences we experienced. If this was a review of Kathy, I would give 5 stars, but factoring in the lack of quality control on the door systems, I can't give beyond a 3 star review. I still believe that this company is making strides to produce a better product and I give it at least another couple more years before things are ironed out. We wanted to purchase a third set of doors, but will wait a bit to see how the long term reliability and service is with our current doors. Panormamic, if you're monitoring these reviews, Kathy is a true asset and should be promoted to COO or given a raise. She went above and beyond her job description and made things right. Part 1:We ordered panoramic doors from them in 2020, the doors arrived late and delivery was horrible. They promised to send to guys but sent just one person and he asked us to help to unload (in order to save labour cost which we had already paid). Part 2 MAJOR: They don't have an in-house installer ie is a big red flag. They force you to hire one person (Im not going to mention his name, who is absolutely unreliable) He also wants cash payments and will not give you an invoice. I recently went to the Burlingame showroom and the woman working was so friendly and helpful- NOT pushy at all. She made me feel comfortable and very confident in the products. Panoramic Doors has completely changed the way our condo feels. Our living space has doubled and we love the indoor/outdoor feel when we open our doors. The doors are gorgeous and easy to use. The interior of our house is white and the exterior is beige so we were able to custom colors to match the inside and the outside - very cool! And we had custom doors for our living room which is a four panel and custom for the kitchen which is a 3 panel system. I wish I could say I love our doors and window but I can't. Spent hours discussing which to get for our oceanfront home and ended up with the vinyl ones as they would "not warp" or "swell" in the heat and humidity. Total nonsense, of course they do and then they don't slide, don't close and don't work. I agree with the reviewer who said they let in rain and ants and bugs. I agree with the reviewer who said the screens were lousy. What is the point of the screen if you have to leave it open when you are operating the doors as it doesn't pass the handle. I agree with the reviewer who said the plastic cracks but in my case it is the handles. I agree with the reviewer who says their customer service is lousy, it is. You place a service request, get an email saying they will respond in 24-48 hours and weeks later you still hear nothing. Great concept, lousy construction, lousy customer service and overall lousy company to deal with. Others are making similar products, find another company and save yourself the aggravation. read more

We have had the worst experience, and I don't normally write reviews but I feel I should now. It's been over two years since we've been trying to get our doors installed correctly. The glass is wavy and they have been to our home at least six times to replace them. They bring more wavy glass or scratched glass or there is some other issue so they can't install. In addition, we have screens from them and believe it or not, they sent the wrong size screens, which they measured, a couple of times. This whole process has been incredibly frustrating. A year ago I requested that they refund us our money and said we will live with the imperfect windows so they put us out of my misery. They said no and keep trying to put in new bad glass. In addition to the costs, I have to take the day off and be there every time they come and don't install. I have spoken to at least 13 people at the company so that has been fun too. read more

Turns out most of the issues were a result of our contractor. Tech came and pointed out all the contractor errors for free. Couldn't fix em though. So I had to find another contractor to come in and uninstall and reinstall these doors. 5 thousand dollars later ... They are now done and installed. Only issue I can see with these doors is that there are screws placed on the bottom track which have to be well sealed and you need to make sure you have a good contractor. Which we really thought we did! The company may do well to have some referrals for contractors who can do a good job for different states. I'll post pictures later. read more

I have owned a Panoramic Door (8' x 13', four doors) for the past three years and couldn't be happier. It was a good value (40% less) than other other options, my contractor found it easy to install, and I can now report after several years of use that it slides and opens great, just like new. I also like that they are made in CA. The one small issue I had was handled promptly by Jennifer with a quick onsite visit to remedy. read more

We had our doors installed over a year ago in a new house. LOVE them, and being able to open up a whole wall out onto our screened in porch. When we had some problems due to damage by another contractor after installation, Panoramic Doors flew technicians in from Texas to fix. We would call and get transferred from someone very pleasant who answered the phone to a sales person's voicemail. It would often take 3, 4 or 5 calls to get a call back, only to be told that they have to go look something up and they will get back to us. No return call ever comes, and we would start the process over again. After 7 weeks of this, we became concerned that even if we could pull off buying the doors, how could we ever have confidence that they would be there from a service point of view. The teamwork was excellent down to the delivery by Andrew on an afternoon of unusually demanding traffic. Adam and his crew accommodated our timeframe (guests were arriving from afar) and our new doors were the hit of the last outdoor/indoor evening event possible this season! The doors have expanded the possibilities of more outdoor/indoor living and the convenience is amazing. We used to keep the old slider hidden by drapery most of the time. I have purchased both Nana door systems and Panoramic door systems. (for separate houses). My experience with customer service was good with both companies. But, the Panoramic door systems operate with much greater ease. And, the cost of Panoramic is substantially less than Nana. The Nana systems are extremely solid and well made. The Panoramic systems are slightly less solid than Nana. But, the ease of use and the cost differential makes me prefer the Panoramic system. If I ever purchase a similar system in the future, it will be Panoramic again. read more
