Additional reasons why they are awesome include: (1) You don't need an appointment to see the optometrist but you should call ahead because she is not there every day. (2) They accept my insurance (Davis Vision) and a bunch of other ones. (3) They stay open until late (9:30 PM) during the week which allows me swing by after work. (4) They understand that random things happen. For example, I lost my last pair of contacts down the drain a couple hours before I was headed out to see a play in the city. An hour later I got an eye exam, they contacted the insurance and I was walking out with a new pair of contact lens. I have also gotten an old pair of designer sunglasses fixed here when other places couldn't because they weren't be made anymore. I am definitely a loyal customer and will keep coming back!

The front desk was very nice, and making an appointment as a new patient at this location was super simple. During the appointment, Dr. Tao was actively listening to my concerns - I wear OrthoK (or night lenses) and had some concerns for possible eye infection which I have had in the past. Dr. Tao was extremely thorough during check-up to verify it wasn't an eye infection, answered all my questions, and explained everything to help make me feel at ease. Definitely one of the better experiences I've had at an eye doctor's!

I ended up buying a pair of sunglasses with a script for distance with polarization as well. I don't get an eye check up here so I cannot comment on that. I have to go to an Ophthalmologist for other reasons. On my recent visit, I wanted the lens changed but keeping frame. I didn't realize that polarization was so expensive and not covered by my union. So every year, I am entitled to get new glasses or replace lenses but will have to pay for polar again. The downfalls are some of the prices for frames can get expensive. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I will continue to come here.
