I just had my wedding and reception here last night. The venue is absolutely beautiful! The grounds are flawless, and there isn't a better looking ceremony set up! We were able to check in the day before the wedding and set up our wedding decorations. This was not the case for any of the other venues we checked out and it made for a much less stressful wedding day. It made us so relaxed on the day of and allowed me to hang out with the guys instead of decorating on the wedding day and allowed all the girls to get pampered and hang out together in the massive bridal suite all day. We also appreciated that we were able to wait until Sunday to get everything out so that our wedding day was just a day of being with the ones we love and celebration. We loved that the staff took care of all of the major parts of the set up and decorations. The venue took care of our flowers, which came out amazing! The bridal bouquet was better than we could have hoped for and matched the bridal party bouquets my wife created almost exactly. The cake was also an exact replica of the inspiration picture Kelsie sent to Judy. The food tasted amazing and the service was excellent. Hunter even helped last minute to secure our wedding arch as it was a windy day and we had to go get in line for the entrance walk out. Paniolo Ranch is a BEAUTIFUL location for a perfect hill country wedding! My husband and I got married at Paniolo Ranch in October 2023 and it was PERFECT! The venue has a beautiful location for stunning hill country views for the ceremony. A nice open area for an outdoor cocktail hour. A very spacious reception area that held 100+ guests and a open dance floor! Paniolo Ranch also offered us a spacial and lovely bridal suite and grooms suite. Not only was the venue perfect but what truly made it AMAZING was Hunter! We booked our venue in January of 2022. Between Jan 2022 to the day before our wedding in Oct 2023 Hunter was VERY communicative! It made our experience PERFECT! He also let us view the venue whenever we needed to! Which helps when trying to figure out decor, etc. I wish I could leave 100 stars for Paniolo Ranch! We loved it here! It made our wedding day PERFECT! read more

I recently had an elopement wedding at Paniolo Ranch, and I can't express my disappointment enough regarding my experience. Despite initial promises, the owner Judy did not uphold her commitments nor our contract by double booking another wedding over mine. Being that I was 30 minutes late to the alter Judy allowed another wedding party to rehearsal their event at the alter putting me and my wedding party on hold informing me that it was my fault because I was late. Our contract has us paying or 2 hours! This led to a cascade of issue that significantly impacted our special day. The lack of attention to detail, blame put on bride, and failure to prioritize our event left us feeling neglected and disheartened. Our wedding day should have been a joyous, and intimate occasion, but due to these issues, it turned into a stressful and hurtful experience. My hope is that future couples won't have to endure the same challenges. read more

One of my absolute favorite places now. My (now husband) and I were planning a wedding in October after our first baby arrived. But when we found our baby only had half a heart plans changed. He would need multiple surgeries and one surgery right after birth and if he survived we would be looking at months and months in the hospital. We had to relocate to Houston and our wedding plans seemed impossible to think about. We knew we wanted to marry before Noah's arrival but the thought and stress we were both under for what was to come. I didn't have the energy to even think about wedding stuff. Then I found Paniolo Ranch and they had an elopement package, found a photographer... and the next weekend Brandon and I went to the ranch and got married. It was such a beautiful day and Judy was so helpful. We had dinner on the patio after the wedding and it was so special to just be able to talk and enjoy the evening. Noah is now 9 months and we just returned home from the hospital in Houston and for our first anniversary we spent the night out at the ranch and re created our wedding photos with our little guy. It was so special! Judy (the owner) is there and so sweet and helpful for anything you need. During the wedding prep she asks what flowers you want (I just sent her photos of bouquets) and dinner, cake etc The houses are private. The first time we stayed at the Male house which was very nice and close to the main area. This last time we stayed in OHana house and it was really great for privacy! The property itself is gorgeous and well maintained. That's where the good stops for us. My brother and his now bride booked a wedding last minute which we were grateful they could accommodate. The wedding itself was a small private ceremony with 12 people including the bride and groom. When dinner was served is where the problems began. We have severe food allergies in our family, with that being said we are used to having to make adjustments or just not being able to eat the meal that is served. (That's our choice and not a problem) We sent an email stating the food allergies and being very specific as these are very serious health issues. We were told it would not be a problem to accommodate this which was an amazing relief, however Judy claimed she was never made aware of the allergies (even though we know the email had been opened) and had already seasoned the steaks and other items. She then offered to scrape the steak clean or wash it off for us. Mom decoded to just not eat dinner as the risk is too high. The steaks were brought out and covered in mushrooms (which was not listed on the menu) my wife has a severe allergy to mushrooms. They again offered to scrape it clean or wash it. They clearly have no understanding of food allergies and could have caused a trip to the emergency room. I have been in restaurants for 20 years and understand that sometimes allergies cannot be accommodated but to say you can and then say you were never made aware and worst of all offer to wash the food is just blatant disregard for people's safety. We figured we'll just chalk it up to inexperience and let it go. The reception had been booked a month after the wedding to allow for family and friends to travel in for the celebration, and this is when the real problems began. 10 days before the wedding my brother was informed that another party would like to book the venue for the same night, no big deal just say it's already booked right? Not so much pricing at the venue has gone up and they were going to charge the new couple a last minute booking fee so they stood to make several thousand more on the new party. When my brother stood his ground he was then informed that flowers, the DJ, table linens, table decorations would no longer be included at that price point. We'll this isn't our first rodeo so we got together all the decorations and bought flowers for the table, setup a stereo system to play music for the event and were going to celebrate anyways. Frustrating yes but then the man that helps run the venue (I didn't catch his name) while he was friendly enough made several of the women uncomfortable with his constant presence and staring he also wandered through and grabbed several cupcakes from the table before finally asking for one. The icing on the cake though came towards the end of the night, I had brought my food truck up to serve food for the event. After serving all of the guests as we were shutting down Judy approached and asked for a burger stating she was the owner. I told her everything was cooling down and it would take a few extra minutes to cook the burger but I would accommodate (just trying to be the bigger person even though I really didn't want to) from the time it rang in until she had her burger in 8 minutes to which she didn't respond with thank you or have a good night. She instead told my teenage son "this is ridiculous it took way too long, We will never be using you again" She didn't hire me to begin with, she got free food from the wedding event and it took less than 10 minutes to cook her a fresh burger. I have catered hundreds of weddings in my years in the industry ranging from 10-20 people to several hundred. I have never and would never behave like this towards people celebrating their day. I may have thought nasty things or said them behind closed doors but never never to the wedding party themselves. Bottom line beware of the customer service and food if you have any allergies. Hopefully they learn before they kill someone. They have even acknowledged that they were made aware of my brothers shellfish allergy and still served him a shrimp cocktail. They have also now threatened legal action for leaving negative reviews. The Google profile has now received 10 new 5 star reviews today alone after our negative reviews had been posted. They average 1 a month maybe but today they now have 10 new ones.....​ read more

Paniolo Ranch was the PERFECT location for our wedding. Our entire bridal party & immediate family was able to stay in the rental homes the whole weekend. No worries about the drive out there, driving drunk etc. With everyone in the same place, we were able to celebrate the whole weekend which was very unique & everyone had a blast. We had the rehearsal dinner the night before & everything was perfect & tasty. I felt like a guest even my own event! Hunter made the planning process so easy & was always available for any questions we had. The views are breathtaking. The bridal suite is spacious & had plenty of room for us to get ready in. We should have known something was up when all of the rooms had signs offering free wine in exchange for a 5 star review. The wedding I attended was about a month ago, I decided to cool down and not leave a bad review when I was mad.... but I'm still so offended and upset with what my best friend and her groom had to deal with from these people. The one star can account for the beautiful venue! Unfortunately the staff wasn't as nice as the views. I was the MoH in a wedding here recently, and though the bride and groom expressed difficulties dealing with these people months before the wedding even happened, I will leave out their horror story and only speak about what I witnessed first hand. First of all, they charged everyone's credit cards a week earlier than the wedding. They assured everyone no one would be charged until check in. They also racked on a surprise "service charge" that was never mentioned before, apparently since they have to type out all of the cards they gotta charge for that burden? Lol. Non-refundable by the way. My card declined (thankfully) when they tried to pull this stunt, and when I arrived the lady working there had no issue announcing it in front of other people that I do not know. Embarrassing, but not the worst moment of the weekend. Also, when you arrive the gates will be locked and you'll have to call this lady in order to get in. Every. Single. Person. Will have to go through this process. Imagine how annoying it is to get a call from every single car asking if they're at the right place/how to get in. The lady interrupted us setting up for the wedding to have us move beer off the bar, because it "wasn't build to hold heavy stuff"- would've been nice to know that in advance. They said candles were fine before hand, and $300 of candles later they tell us the DAY OF the wedding "no open flames." The breakfast was a joke, no bride or groom should EVER have to eat the gas station quality, plastic wrapped, frozen kolaches they provided. We had to make an emergency 6am run to a grocery store to prepare our own breakfast. The closest grocery store is a solid 30 minute drive. We were constantly locked out of the main venue & bridal suite. The day before AND the day of the wedding we had to call repeatedly to get someone to answer the phone, and when they finally did they were rude and obviously annoyed. She said they'll send someone to unlock it. And then 20 minutes later we had to call again to see why we were still locked out. This lady is rude with zero apologies! Speaking of being locked out, when we came back from the rehersal dinner we were locked out of the premises, stuck at the gate for 20 minutes. Called and called and called before she finally answered, and gave us the gate code. She was not polite or apologetic for locking us out, she was mad and questioning who we were and why we were there. The bridal suite, where the groom & bride sleep the night of the wedding had the water turned off all night and morning. No way to wash your face, flush the toilet, or to take a bath in the BEAUTIFUL bathtub that is literally the centerpiece of the room. No way to get a cup of water. They also locked them in, and they couldn't get out until the mother of the bride had to call them to unlock the doors, THE NEXT MORNING. At the very least this is a MAJOR fire code violation and dangerous. Why??? The cherry on top, is that they booked another wedding our day of departure, failed to tell anyone until that morning, and told us we all had to be cleaned up and off the site 2 HOURS before what was originally stated. So, we all had to get up and rush to pack all of our belongings, the entirety of the wedding, and clean up with zero notice. All the while this lady is giving a tour to another bride while barking at us to get rid of stuff. My car was filled to the brim and as I was driving off she yelled at me telling me I needed to finish cleaning up. Our game plan was to kill her with kindness, maybe she'll perk up? It didn't work. If we took another route, I'm absolutely positive she would have ruined the wedding. Expect to be treated like dirt, lied to, and locked out of every door that closes behind you. This woman goes above and beyond to make everything impossible, and then gets pissed when you need help. No apologies, no kindness, just an evil lady who clearly hates people. Such a shame that we spent so much time dealing with the issues this last gave us instead of celebrating. read more

We visited my Paniolo Ranch for my mother's wedding back in June. She chose Paniolo Ranch because she wanted a laid back, stress free wedding with no worries. That was not what we received from Paniolo Ranch. The staff was involved very little, didn't work with vendors upon arrival, non-responsive & Judy specifically had an attitude with multiple wedding guests when we brought up our disappointment to her. They refused to turn on the A/C in the wedding hall, until they had future guests touring the facility. In which they turned on music and had people walking through where we were paying to sleep. They didn't consult or warn us there would be people walking through the places we were staying. We thought it was very unprofessional the way the staff acted. We had a beautiful scenery to the wedding that was hosted, but we had to work extra hard & out of our way to make the day extra special since Judy was uncooperative to our simple requests. read more

Horrible. We booked Paniolo ranch for our girls getaway. The house and the ranch were nice but service was not. The day of check in, the owner gave me her phone number to contact her. I called her when we were there and she was a little rude but I blew it off. We booked the girls getaway package $175 per person. The owner, Judy, told all of us the wrong times for our massages. After the massage we were booked for lunch and Judy made us feel like a bother because she had to meet with a bride even though we booked months in advance. She was not professional in any way. The first night we got there we were told we could not talk AT ALL or walk around the pool area because there was a wedding. Keep in mind we stayed for 2 nights and paid $1364.94. A movie night was included in our package and I had been texting/calling her asking several questions but I was constantly being ignored. Our movie night was scheduled for night 1 but that did not happen. On the second evening, she was also ignoring all of our calls & texts but answered the business phone and we asked if we could have our movie night. She said that she was already in bed and we could not have it so to watch Netflix or anything else on tv. She was EXTREMELY RUDE & again unprofessional. She basically ruined our girls trip with no apologies or refunds. We also paid for a house with a private hot tub THAT DID NOT WORK! Paniolo Ranch was the perfect place to have our wedding. On our first visit we fell in love with the place, and knew we had to have our wedding there. The view, garden, ceremony, and reception area are all to die for. The team at Paniolo is incredibly professional and accommodating. I was planning my wedding on my own from a different city. Each time I emailed with questions I got a speedy response back with the answers I needed. At the last minute we decided to add the photo booth and WOW! It was sooooo worth it!! People were lined up all night, and the booth ran smoothly. We received the best pictures complete with funny props to help us remember the night. We stayed the night in the gorgeous bridal suite, and many of our guests booked rooms on the Ranch. Everyone commented on how nice the rooms were, and how impressed they were with the service. I got married at Paniolo Ranch on 10/1/16. We fell in love with this venue after looking at tons of pictures online. We actually didn't see the venue in person before booking it. (We saw it for the first time on our wedding day!) I had a lot of conversations with Judy (the venue owner) and had my MOH tour it, since she lives in TX. She loved it, so we booked it. Still...I had so many reservations and spent a lot of time worrying about this, since I was leaving so much in their hands. Luckily all of my worries were COMPLETELY unnecessary. I cannot recommend this venue enough. Of course, the venue itself is absolutely perfect. It's breathtaking, serene, and has stunning views. The landscaping is impeccable. We went with a "modified" Aloha Package - the venue was kind enough to work with us since we had such a small group. As part of the package, they provided the reception dinner and a hosted breakfast the next morning. Both were delicious and the service was great. They even kindly accommodated some last minute dietary preferences. All of our guests stayed in the on-site rooms and they were all very happy with their accommodations. All of the rooms were luxurious and well maintained - a couple of the guesthouses even had hot tubs! The Paniolo staff constantly checked in and made sure to take care of our every need. Everyone that works there is awesome and SO on top of it - they thought of things I missed, pretty much took care of all of the decor (with only vague instructions from me), and kept us stress-free and on time the day of. My friends, Bridget and Craig Ferguson got married here on Friday November 4, 2016. It was the most amazing, peaceful and accommodating places I've ever been to!! Even the rain couldn't take the sunshine away from this place, it was still gorgeous and super comfy! I felt so relaxed and the wedding was just absolutely beautiful. I'm so glad I got to see my two friends who are madly in love, tie the knot here. The entire staff was so helpful and kind. I love how it's a quite little retreat, buried in the trees where you can get away and feel stress-free. I definitely want to come back and show others how amazing this place is!! My boyfriend and I stayed at the Paniolo Ranch this past weekend and CANNOT stop talking about it to our friends back in Houston. The views are breathtaking and the accommodations were even better. I want to start with the ONLY thing we were disappointed with (just to get it out of the way): by the time we arrived, the lake had dried up, which huge was a bummer. BUT, as Judy explained, they were in a 3-year drought so there was little to be done. So, we just decided to spend most of our time in the pool which faced the rolling hillside anyway and was a nice relief from the August heat. There were plenty of places to explore. We even found a few spots on the land to look for fossils. Neither of us found any but Judy was nice enough to show us some that she and her family had collected from their adventures out to those areas. They were really incredible! There was a wedding going on while we were there. While we tried to stay out of the way, the staff never made us feel unwelcome and there were still several places to go on the grounds to enjoy the views or some alone time of our own while they celebrated. We sneaked quick a peek though and everything really looked perfect for the couple's big day! Our room was very nice and the bed was more comfortable than our own at home! We loved the entire room even though I hit my shin on one of a bench a few times while wandering in the dark... I should have moved it after the first time instead of the third. Haha! We definitely want to return to Paniolo Ranch for the simple fact that there is so much to see, so many ways to relax, and the staff is the friendliest we've ever experienced at a B&B! read more

My now wife and I had a great wedding experience this past weekend at Paniolo Ranch in Boerne, TX. Eight months ago we were trying to decide where to have our ceremony. We live in Houston and most of our family is here. We originally thought we would only consider local options, but, a friend from church suggested we look outside of Houston for a more original venue. Our friends mentioned that they stayed at the Bed and Breakfast portion of Paniolo Ranch and informed us that there was a gorgeous out door chapel. We checked out the web site and contacted the ranch to schedule an appointment. In addition to the chapel, they also have a reception hall on site that was perfect for our party. We drove through Boerne on the way to the ranch and was impressed with the hills and surroundings. The atmosphere was very inviting. The venue was perfect! We instantly knew we wanted to have the wedding there. We had plenty of space and seating for the venue and reception hall. There was also enough space for parking. We had our wedding last Sunday on June 8th. Everything was perfect and the facility looked great. My wife loved the bridal suite and I had just enough plenty of space in the grooms room. All the bathrooms were clean and it was like we were in a 4 star resort. This place has beautiful views but Rudeness was the order for the weekend. I wrote a Google review and for some reason it isn't showing for anyone but me, so the review has been hidden by Judy. Here it is again It started out with them messing up the Bride's bouquet and when the Bride told her the colors were wrong she threw the bouquet at her face. The make-up Artist and Hair stylist canceled the day of the rehearsal dinner. No trash can available to throw away disposable dishes from rehearsal dinner. It is a horrible long walk from parking to the area of the outside wedding and where they set-up the rehearsal dinner tables. We were using the golf cart. My Grandson was shuttling everyone and coolers and dishes back and forth. Owner came out and told him to "Get the fuck off of the golf cart." Mosquitos were kinda bad. They should have sprayed. Since the rehearsal dinner was held at 6:30 pm it became dark fairly quick. No one came to turn on any outside lights. We spent a long time playing with many light switches trying to light up the area so people could see to eat. Honestly, this couldn't have been much more of a worse experience if they tried any harder. An expensive cowboy hat was stolen after the wedding, it was left at the pool at midnight. Someone rifled through the Groom's console and stole medication. During the wedding the owner was intoxicated. In the end, the Owner of the Paniolo is rude and unprofessional. I do not recommend this place for a wedding, ever. Not unless you want a half-assed job and to be treated very rudely. read more

My wife and I used Paniolo Ranch as our wedding ceremony/party venue in February of this year. I had a wonderful time, and even with a couple cold patches throughout the day, it was a scenic, beautiful venue. The stone amphitheater where we held our ceremony was awesome! And the vine tunnel was used as a great walk out point. The party ranch, and the honeymoon suite in particular were both lovey and badass. I just got married at Paniolo Ranch 10/22/16 and wanted to make sure to write this review while it was still fresh in my mind!! I may be partial, but I truly believe Paniolo is the prettiest venue in the Hill Country. Judy and C'ne came through and helped create the most memorable and beautiful ceremony for my husband, family, friends and I. There was no shortage of compliments from everyone who attended. After reading the reviews here, I was slightly shocked, and in hindsight, I wish I head read the reviews before I booked my most recent trip there this last labor day weekend. Although I was totally displeased with our accommodations, I should have done more research. Don't get me wrong. The place was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and it was just the "off the beaten path" kind of place that I was looking for. Me and my boyfriend decided to spend our long weekend touring the hill country. We chose this place last minute on a holiday weekend but after seeing the pictures and the fact that they offered massage and they called it a "resort", I was sold. We ended up booking 2 ahead of time, and then the day before our reservation, we had a family emergency and tried to call and cancel. We were told no. Which is alright, we did reserve a room at the very last minute. But it was kind of frustrating. We decided to make it down there anyways after we handled our business at home. We showed up, and the property really was beautiful. The scenery was incredible! We never met the owner of the property, Judy, I think her name was, but we were escorted to our room, which was really just the old garage that they had converted. The furnishings were nice and the A/C was ICE cold. But it was still a garage, with ugly, gray/navy carpet that they use in high schools and office buildings. Basically, we were directed towards the mini fridge and the microwave and told that "our breakfast was in there". For as much as we paid for a 2 night stay, I was definitely disappointed in the "bed and breakfast" aspect of our stay. Inside our fridge, there were 2 breakfast hot pocket-like rolls, 2 cups of yogurt, a bottle of milk and a bottle of apple juice. Oh and some fruit. Keep in mind that you are AT LEAST 30 minutes from any sort of town or grocery store, and all that we had in our room was a wine cooler and a microwave. So we couldn't bring back frozen food, and we couldn't cook any groceries that we picked up during the day. Now, that is not too terrible, I didn't pick this place for its choice in food options. They do prove you with dinner, if you want to pay $75 a person. Or for room service, a pizza can be delivered to your door for $25 a person. This may just be me, but $50 for a pizza is a little excessive. When we asked if we could use the grill, we were told that it was the owners private grill. And the one by the pool was broken. The only time we ever spent on the property besides sleeping is when we decided to unwind in the pool after a long day of sightseeing and traveling. It was around dinner time, and there was a family eating a few feet away from us on the owners back porch. I am assuming it was her family there visiting for the holiday, but it was kind of awkward none the less to be swimming in her pool while they ate an elegant dinner on the patio. But that isn't too much of a complaint of mine, we were guests at someone else's home, so we didn't mind keeping to ourselves and kept out of the way. My only real complaint is the price. I find it utterly ridiculous that we paid $625 for 2 nights in someone's repurposed garage with window A/C units. We didn't even have the option to order a hot breakfast, nor were we given the means or any option to feed ourselves for lunch or dinner. Unless we felt like paying $25 (for a pizza) $55 (for a pasta meal) $75 (for a steak dinner) PER PERSON. And yes, I realize that we agreed on the price. I was totally ok with paying the rate that we agreed on, but I was somewhat mislead as to what that rate would include. I did really love the property, it was MAGICAL and so relaxing being able to sit outside in the morning and listen to the birds, but I could have had the same experience somewhere else with the same amenities for a third of the price. Ultimately, I did leave there with a bad taste in my mouth. I would love to be able to say that I would want to return in the future, but I feel like I could have received much better service at one of the MANY bed and breakfasts in the hill country. A little bit of customer service goes a long way. If I pay high dollar for place to stay, I at least expect A LITTLE more than what I received. Truly disappointed! I would love to stay there again otherwise! read more

Very accommodating ! Great views. Nice accommodations. Wonderful food. Am returning again this June!

The place is beautiful for a wedding and it is nice that you choose your own catering and bring in your own alcohol, but the bartender provided was not able to make drinks and last call was made before the bride and groom left, so the place was being cleared too early. Also, the bartender would not follow the requests of the groom's family. read more

Paniolo ranch is a beautiful wedding venue and the staff is friendly and professional. This wedding venue is an excellent and unique choice for any couple! To say scenery is peaceful and breathtaking is an understatement. I especially liked the gardens near the ceremony area as there is a canopy of flowers that forms a tunnel which makes one of many beautiful photo opportunities. This place is great! I was a guest at a wedding there and was able to stay at the B&B. This was good because I had a little too much to drink to have been driving on those rural roads at night. This place is lovely, a little gem in the middle of a beautiful part of Texas. The facilities are great and everyone there was A+. My wife and I are planning to go and stay on a quiet fall weekend.
