Started our cross Texas spring roadie staying the first night at Full Moon Inn. The owners called the day were to check in to confirm arrival time and I had a good impression straight away. The Full Moon Inn exceeded all expectations. I was traveling with my daughter and she needs privacy. Our cabin, original and on property since the 1850s was perfect with upstairs bedroom and downstairs bedroom with shared down bathroom. If you want the Texas settler feel about the time the Comanches still dominated the area, this is the perfect spot. We loved it. Bonus, this cabin is haunted and I did here the spirits in the middle of the night. Nope, it wasn't the tequila. Breakfast was family style and very good. Don't be late or your out of luck. Coffee service was great and started at 8:30am. They have a full bar and restaurant some nights. Music too, again some nights. Before we started our trip to big Bend on Tuesday morning, I went for a long walk up the country road in front of the property. Very nice walk along the creek road and very little traffic. Lastly, huge thanks to the owners for sending us my daughter's perfume she accidentally left in the room. She was pretty sad as it is one of her prized possessions when she discovered she left it behind when we were in Alpine TX, several hundreds miles away. The owners were nice enough to send it along. It cost them money and time. This shows the kind of folk they are. Thanks soooo much Full Moon Inn!

Rustic charm. The cabin we stayed in dated to the 1860's, was uniquely decorated with oil boom paraphernalia. Very comfortable, quiet and friendly. Live music on weekends. Friendly bar with inexpensive drinks. Real Texas.

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Fredericksburg and had a great time! My husband, 2 dogs, and one other friend all stayed together in their Grape Suite and were pretty pleased with our accommodations. Please keep in mind that Full Moon Inn is a B&B, not a five star hotel, so if you're looking for someplace homey, with no frills, and low key, then this is your place! The Grape Suite has 2 rooms- one bedroom which includes a king-sized bed and another room that includes a kitchen area (stove, fridge, and sink) and dining room table that seats 4 people. The Grape Suite accommodates up to 4 people (2 extra rollaway beds are provided) and the rollaway bed our friend slept on easily fit into the kitchen/dining room area. The king bed was extremely comfortable and there was both air conditioning and a fan available in both rooms which is much needed in the summertime. Both rooms have separate entrances, definitely convenient for privacy purposes (plus I had to get up early to take the dogs out and didn't want to wake our friend). The bathroom has a full tub/shower and walk in closet. Plenty of towels were provided for us and everything was kept clean and tidy upon our arrival. Note: there is no daily maid service so keep your place tidy and if you need any extra things (towels, soap, etc.) just let them know and they will provide it for you. The staff here is very friendly and approachable so don't be shy. What I really loved about our stay here was the large yard for my 2 dogs to run around in. It was definitely a change from their tiny, non existent yard in the city and my dogs loved running around everyday and chasing after the chickens. There are also 2 rocking chairs on the front porch that we were able to relax in and conveniently keep an eye on our dogs. Also, you will love their cute resident dog that wanders around the property all day- he is soo sweet and friendly and our pups loved him as well. Breakfast is served every morning at 9am and it was delicious! They serve a hearty American breakfast and it's goood!! During our stay we had eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, and watermelon. Sounds very simple but it was yummy!! Overall, I was pretty pleased with our stay here and would recommend it to those wanting a quiet, tranquil, quaint place to stay while in Fredericksburg. The location is amazing- the closest winery is less than 5 minutes away and downtown Fredericksburg is only about a 10 minute drive.

Beautiful evening thunder and lightning...so peaceful and calm here at The Full Moon Inn

July 2020. What a wonderful stay at the Full Moon Inn B&B. This is an immaculate, relaxing bed & breakfast with wide-open spaces and beautiful grounds to explore. The owners, Kim and Kemper, make sure guests feel welcome upon arrival and throughout the stay. The full breakfasts were outstanding with fresh ingredients, including eggs from the chickens they raise on site. The bar/lounge decor has a terrific rustic, eclectic charm with live music on the weekends. We will be returning for sure, as the experience was well worth repeat visits in the future! Loved it!

Love this place! The new owners have gone above and beyond to make this place a memorable one! We loved it

My husband and I have been to various B&B's around Texas and the US and by far this one was one of our favorites. The owners were wonderful; friendly, helpful and very hospitable. They mentioned they had just acquired the B&B in September 2016. The Texas Oil Boom Room was quaint, clean and private. They have 5 other rooms on the property. The food was delicious, the patio and area was nice to "hang out" while at the B&B. The owner gave us a tour of the farm which was fun. It's walking distance to Luckenbach Dance hall and close to downtown Fredricksberg, Stonewall and Albert, TX. We had a wonderful time st this place and look forward to coming back.

Absolute must for a romantic getaway! Convenient to all attractions and the inn keepers are very accommodating. We will definitely be back!

I rented this cabin to celebrate & surprise my husband for his 40th birthday and not to toot my own horn but.....TOOT TOOT because my hubby was so surprised & really enjoyed himself!! :))) This wifey did good!! ;)) We rode my hubby's motorcycle to Luckenbach and the ride itself is so peaceful, very scenic, & it's guaranteed that you'll see lots of deer on your ride to Luckenbach Lodge so be careful & keep an eye out. The cabin itself was super cute and very clean! I chose cabin #1 because of the tub and I am so glad I did! Once you figure out how to turn on all of the features for this awesome tub it is sooooo relaxing! I'm talking "Calgon Take Me Away" relaxation!! ;)) My husband and I really took advantage of taking our "spa-like" baths together during our stay! :))) We also really enjoyed lounging on the back patio and listening to the live music playing at the Luckenbach music stage, which is literally across the creek from the cabin. The cabin did have a mini fridge stocked with complimentary waters & sodas (thanks Paul), a microwave, Keurig coffee machine, plenty of towels, a portable small grill, and tv. Just an FYI, the cabin only had a small wall barrier that didn't go all the way up to the ceiling separating the bathroom area from the bed area & no door so having privacy while in the bathroom really wasn't a thing so for those of you who are newbies in your relationship, my advice to you is to tell your honey to wait out on the patio ;)) while you have your one to one time w/ the bathroom or you can just take care of business over at the Luckenbach stage area where there are plenty of clean restrooms for use :)). We truly enjoyed our stay at the Luckenbach Lodge and for sure we will be returning very soon but next time we are going to be staying more than just 1 night! -Rebecca out

It was Heaven and we enjoyed it so much that we decided to return for our 21st wedding anniversary this past February 2022. This stay was for longer and we didn't think it could be any better than our 1st visit and yet it was. The weather was very cold but the days were beautiful and cabin 3 had a wonderful heater that warmed the cabin perfectly. Our 1st morning we woke up to find the Keurig coffee maker was not working. My husband sent Paul an email to make him aware of this just as an FYI knowing we would need to drive to the nearest store for our morning fix. We left that morning as we had a full day planned ahead of us and to our surprise when we returned at the end of the day there was a brand new Keurig awaiting us at the door!! That's when we knew we would be regular visitors! Thank you Paul for your gracious hospitality! The Tice's

Upon first walking into the cabin, it had a strong odor of perfume or room spray. We had to air it out for an hour as the scent was heavy. We paid for a $90 dollar add on romance package. It included a standard bottle of an Oak Leaf Vineyard Chardonnay and a few Hershey's chocolates. This particular cabin included a loft. Our teen slept up there during our stay. It was fairly dusty and the floor wasn't clean. The cabin is fine if you plan on constant and consistent excursions in nearby Fredericksburg or local wineries. The cabin itself is charming but it could really use a deep cleaning. My allergies were triggered due to the dust inside. The first night we stayed, I turned down the bed and there was hair on the sheets that didn't belong to me or my spouse. Also, a previous guest left a claw clip on the floor next to the bed. Morning breakfast was no frills but much appreciated. Assorted yoghurts, bread, meats, cheese, boiled eggs, a few grape tomatoes and some fresh berries were delivered to the cabin at 8 am every morning. Internet is made available to guests but the signal was poor where we were at. We were unable to get online via WiFi and had to leave a bit away to get a good cellular signal. FYI, Verizon is terrible in this location. The kitchen has a mini refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. Those are nice conveniences. One of the owners works at Der Lindenbaum and recommended it. The food is good German fare. Fredericksburg has several German restaurants to choose from. What is interesting to note is that right now the majority of our state is in a drought. So the grounds here were sandlike/dusty or have dried out grass. There is an area outside the cabins that has a small fire pit with chairs circled around. We didn't utilize that as we were exhausted by the time we got back from being out all day. Overall, if you like fairy tale themes and privacy, this is a place to consider. It is tucked into a neighborhood; the neighbors are spread far apart and it's a quiet area.

When I spoke to the owner, Amy, I told her that we had canceled last week and asked why our card was still charged. I was told that the cancellation policy is 10 days in advance. I informed her that we were not told that at the time of cancellation nor did we receive a cancellation email. Descriptions of the home and property, while technically accurate, are a bit incomplete. The log cabin is a smartly converted dog-run to include a functional bathroom in the center. Interesting primative elements have been saved, which makes the experience cool. What was missed in all descriptions was the low clearance doorways and beaming between rooms and in bathroom area. At 5'10", I was 5" too tall. Hubby at 6'4"... you get the picture. We lost count of head bumps. For safety reasons alone, this should be mentioned. There is mention of both a loft and fireplace in description, but those should now only be considered decorative original examples and not on the amenity list as something a guest would ever safely use. The local owner has chosen corporate management. While this insures marketing and more passive ownership, I feel it sacrifices the pride and upkeep that are found in personal hands-on management. Although the fresh fluffy towels are nice, the uniformed bed linens fall short. The white on white sheets and duvet are grossly out of character and sleep very hot due to the synthetic material blend. The shower curtain and liner are too long for the low height bathing area and should be hemmed up. (Liner is a bit yuk from being just too long.) A make-ready employee did not appear to have been utilized as dead bugs were in tub and sink. Home was also dark without porch light or interior light left on. The 35 whole property is showing signs of needing a grounds keeper. The free roaming sheep are doing their best and are very friendly, but are limited in their ability to be complete. I'm hoping that a capital investment of hiring a human crew is scheduled soon to address maintenance issues. This is a special property that should be saved for future generations to enjoy.

Check-in was a breeze--we received a text with the door code and clear instructions. The cabin itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and the perfect size for two. What really stood out were all the thoughtful extras. The fridge and freezer were stocked with eggs, milk, juice, frittatas, egg sandwiches, cinnamon buns, and even frozen waffles. There were cereals, snacks, a variety of coffees for the Keurig, a complimentary bottle of wine, and even a bag of treats for the animals on the property. The bathroom was just as well prepared, with essentials like toothpaste, Advil, band-aids, and bubble bath items. We've stayed in many places, but never one with so many considerate touches. Driving back late after dinner in Fredericksburg was a little adventure of its own. With the rain and light fog, we spotted plenty of wildlife--deer, raccoons, armadillos, possums, even a cat. Just outside the property, the resident llama decided to block the road until a gentle tap of the horn convinced him to move, while the mini-donkeys looked on. As if that wasn't magical enough, our headlights lit up a beautiful owl taking flight. After a wonderfully quiet night's sleep (a big plus for us!), we enjoyed coffee and fresh cinnamon buns, followed by egg sandwiches. Later, we took the bag of animal treats to meet the llama and donkeys. The llama happily munched away until he didn't want anymore, while the donkeys were a little more polite--though one would give a gentle nudge if we weren't handing out snacks quickly enough. They were absolutely delightful and made our stay even more memorable. This was such a relaxing, unique getaway. The cabin has internet, TV, and Roku for Netflix, though we never even turned it on--this place was simply too peaceful to want any distractions. We'll definitely be back to enjoy this little slice of Hill Country paradise again.
