The renovations are almost done and we had the opportunity to stay in a brand new room that was super cute, clean, fresh but with a wifi issue. We were quickly offered another brand new room and it was smooth sailing from there. Hidden Gem! Best not a chain motel I've ever seen ! This wonderful little inn is a fabulous place to stay. The rooms are cozy and very clean and the beds very comfortable with count them, FIVE comfy pillows ! The owners live onsite and are very friendly and take pride in keeping the place up and providing excellent customer service. It is spotlessly clean & maintained daily and the grounds are well kept and beautiful. Each room is updated with AC units/Flat screen TV/micro-wave & mini-fridge as well as extra's like dishes, utensils and wine glasses. The wifi signal is good and strong and enough signal strength to stream. I had brought my Fire Stick and it ran Hulu and Netflix with no buffering. The bathroom is updated beautifully with new fixtures and plush, soft towels. They also had placed a basket of scrumptious complimentary snacks in the room for us which my grandbaby truly appreciated. The deck outside was a wonderful place for us to sit down and have dinner. There is also a fire pit onsite with a circle of chairs surrounding it. Nice ! This is not a new or chain or five star hotel but if you are looking for a nice, clean, safe place to rest and relax---do not pass this one up !!! P.S I actually work for a major highly regarded hotel chain that has very high standards for each of it's locations. That alone should tell you how very picky I am. We have been staying at Blanco County Inn for years. This place is amazing. The owners are helpful and friendly. We rented the upstairs flat this time. It has 2 bedrooms and a kitchen. It made us feel at home! The private deck with a bar bq grill was great. We sat out there and ate dinner after swimming at Blanco State Park. We can't wait to come back! read more

We enjoyed the Flat on 9th - the 2 bedroom upstairs apartment with patio very much. So comfortable, quiet and livable. We're a family of five and the water kept hot for all showers, the beds were comfortable, the couch and living area comfortable, the coffee and stocked kitchen was a nice touch. Within walking distance of the courthouse and restaurant square. We hope to visit again. Till then, we highly recommend the Blanco County Inn! read more

My stay was excellent! I was coming in from a long road trip with my pup & I was in need of a place to crash for the night. We weren't in luck with other nearby places that weren't pet friendly, but we discovered this cute place! The pet fee is a reasonable $10 and the place has some grass in the front with potty bags If needed. The room was warm on a cold night when we arrived recently and the room was very tidy. Also appreciated the complimentary snacks that night! I would definitely love to stay again if I am back in the area! The place has a nice patio and looks like a nice place to enjoy a glass of wine with friends- maybe on a nice spring or summer night! read more

Comfy beds good a/c ceiling fan and an extra if that's not enough. They even put us in a end unit that has a car port that we could park the bikes under. The owners are very accommodating. I just enjoyed my first stay at The Blanco County Inn. It certainly won't be my last. My experience there was great from check-in to check-out, and it was the same for everyone in my party. In all, we had four rooms. That was probably about a third of the capacity, but it wouldn't have mattered. Every guest was treated like family by the family that owns the inn. The rooms are all fresh and clean and the building is in great shape even though it has a charm reminiscent of a mid-century roadside motel. It should, because that's what it is, just one that has been lovingly updated with flat-panel TV, Wi-Fi, fridge, microwave, modern fixtures and enough electrical outlets. Add to that some bottled water, muffins and full-sized chocolate bars in the room and they could charge a whole lot more than their very reasonable rates. In front of the rooms is a large lawn with a grill and a fire pit or two complete with a stack of seasoned wood and a starter log for the asking. Several padded chairs, some rockers, a kid-sized table and a raised deck that would (and has) served well for weddings and family reunions and any kind of get-together you can imagine. The inn is an easy walk from the town square, where most of the restaurants are located, and Ralph will give you some help in finding the right one to meet your taste. And if his chickens are laying, he might even send you home with some fresh eggs! As a lover of the Texas Hill Country, I have found my new home away from home. read more

The Blanco County Inn(BCI) is The Only Place To Stay when you're in the Blanco area!! The Owners, Ralph and Deborah, the most accommodating and personable owners , IMHO, on this Planet! The Rooms were Clean to the point that I could stand on the tile and carpet, in bare feet, and not worry! The Rooms are Plenty adequate and Clean from Top to Bottom. As most of my motorcycling friends and I, the BCI is a Great Location to use as a Home Base, when we're going to the Hill Country area. read more

While on a road trip last night we checked under Yelp to find a one night stay. The rating's where amazing. So we made a reservations. WOW The cutest motel I've ever seen. Colored linens, plush colored towels. Upgraded bathroom with designer fixtures and cabinets, microwave/refrigerator. Complimentary water and snacks. Great hi-definition tv. Easy to operate!!! This is the quintessential place to stay in central TX. The rooms are remodeled, quaint, comfortable, and clean with all the amenities one would need from the complimentary snacks right down to the wine glasses and wine opener. The owners are friendly and responsive to your needs. If you want to kick back under the night sky, round up some new friends and sit around their firepit. There is plenty of firewood to burn the night away. It is refreshing to see owners who take pride in their establishment. It's a quaint and lovely place. The cozy rooms are filled with cheezy signs about living a happy life, which will instantly make you happier when you read them. There is a communal firepit where you can enjoy Texas friendship. The rooms have mini fridges and are stocked daily with water, as well as other small treats to delight the soul (and the tummy). The rooms also have silverware and plates. And wine glasses. Let me repeat that. They have wine glasses. There is also a grill on site for the enjoyment of patrons. We cooked a rack of ribs last night at 5 in the morning because we were hungry. This inn is quiet, picturesque, and all around worth every cent. read more

We just got back from staying here for the weekend- we live in Austin but we had a family wedding in Fischer and I needed somewhere to call my homebase for the weekend amidst all of the festivities. I stayed in the Flat on 9th Guesthouse and it was absolutely perfect! I have two boys, 3.5 yrs and 18 months. They had plenty of room to play in the living area (I hope no one was staying below us, otherwise I'm not sure they would appreciate the driving of cars and trucks and bouncing of balls starting around 6:30 or 7am), and they loved being out on the deck, which has a gate at the top, so they couldn't go down the stairs. They loved watching all the cars and trucks go by on the road! Also, the two bedrooms worked out perfectly to keep them separated for naps and nighttime sleep. I also really appreciated that there weren't a ton of little decorations and knickknacks down low that I had to remove from little hands constantly. Despite this, the guesthouse is very pleasantly decorated and very home-like. The only thing I wished for while we were there was an extra chair or two for while we were eating. Other than that, it was just perfect! Deborah, the owner, even allowed me to check in early so that I could get things to work with our afternoon nap schedule- I am so thankful for her being so accommodating! The weekend really could've been rough but this little guesthouse stay made it go so smoothly for this tired and pregnant mom of two toddlers! Highly recommend! read more

Whenever I feel a need to hop on my motorcycle and travel the Texas Hill Country, I always make it a point to pull into Blanco Texas The town is small but very "Texas Friendly". I've had the opportunity to stay at the Blanco County Inn on 2 separate occasions. The motel reminds me of something you would see off of Route 66. The motel must have seen its heyday back in the sixties with its typical "park your car" in front of your room design. The front of the hotel has spacious oak trees and shade with Adirondack chairs for the guests. The young family that owns and runs the Inn lives on the second floor above the office. Ralph, the owner is a genuinely friendly hipster gentleman. Never seen him without a Hawaiian shirt and a Panama hat. Invited me to sit down with his family and friends under and old oak and "chew the fat". They have done a great deal of renovation since the last time I was there. The rooms themselves are not large, but are clean and homey. They include flat screen TV WiFi, coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. The queen bed remind me of my grandmothers bed with about 6 different old timey pillows to squeeze up too. The bathroom includes all your shampoos/conditioners, sweet soaps, skin creams and mouthwash. For my motorcycle friends, he has an overhang portico for parking your bikes. The Blanco Inn's environment is quiet , harmonious with a great deal of "good vibes". Slept like a baby. Would stay they again and recommend it to my friends. read more

I met the owners, Deborah and Ralph upon checking in and they accommodated my special request with a smile. The room was SPOTLESS and smelled that way too. I just had to write a review for this inn. I have never taken the time to do this for a business but the amazing kindness and hospitality shown to myself and my friend here were unlike any experience I have ever had at any other hotel or motel. We checked into the room and fell in love with the beautiful quilts and clean, fresh rooms. It had wonderful sheets on the bed, an absolutely charming shower with a mirror and mosaic on the wall, a fridge and plenty of coffee and condiments, and a wonderful t.v. The grounds were immaculately maintained and had beautiful landscaping and flowers. Everywhere there are large comfy overstuffed chairs with umbrellas, and a patio. I can't say enough about the inn and the grounds. Next is the hospitality that made me write this review. I checked in and had to bother the front desk quite a few times for an iron and other little things, which they graciously and happily supplied for me. After all of that locked my keys in the car and had to go back to see if they could help me find a locksmith and they immediately found someone for me. I ended up having to wait until morning, which was Easter, to get into my car because of an engagement I had to be at. My car keys were on the drivers seat and I was worried about leaving it. Not only did they keep an eye on the car for me, but when I was finally able to get a locksmith it was after checkout. They were so gracious that after we checked out they allowed us access to the room in case we needed a restroom or something, and told us to please make ourselves comfortable and let them know if there was anything else they could do. It was actually a pleasant wait in their little park area with the birds and flowers. Even after I got into my car they thanked us for coming even though I know I was a pain, and asked if I needed anything else. The owners are a wonderful, friendly, and so very gracious a couple that it is now my favorite little inn!!!!! You have got to stay there if you are ever in Blanco! I like it so much better than the luxury inn...you can't beat the beautiful charm and personal kindness of The Blanco Inn, even with all the flashiness of the "luxury inn" down the road.
