Overall this is a super cute and unique place to stay. My family and I stayed here with our wedding party not too long ago. The house was very cute and spacious and overall had a great layout. There's a few minor details that need adjusting - first off the jacuzzi was a big factor in choosing the big house for the wedding party as we wanted our bride to be able to relax and to be able to soak our feet for pedicures...only to find out that the handle was missing to turn it on. There were even towels and soap set out on the sides as if they staged it to be used...huge disappointment. My family in the small houses also had a hard time getting ahold of the staff to get more towels- if you aren't going to pre set your house for the correct amount of nights/guests at least be at the ready to do housekeeping. We also discovered very gross "things" on the bedroom curtains when we went to let in light...and as a side not the lighting is not great for doing things like makeup and hair. Other than that the place is quaint and quiet with a modern feel right on the creek. Hopefully these issues will be resolved when you take a visit! read more

Tillman Resort - Jacuzzi handle - RV Parks Near Me - Blanco, Texas

Very nice facility but could use some attention and additions. We were there for a family reunion over the past weekend, we had about 6 cabins and "Luxury House" between our group. Tillman has done a great job with the property; everything is nice and somewhat upscale. The grounds are immaculately kept with nice pathways in stone and beautiful landscaping. There's a great pavilion complete with tables and chairs, fans, BBQ grill and the works. Two pickle ball courts border the "river" (about 4" of water in pathway called a river), but they have very low fences, so if you are not an expert player, you're going to be chasing balls all day. There's another nice sitting area along the river with tables and chairs for lounging and watching the "river". Rio Blanco Cafe is located on the property and serves an outstanding breakfast, everyone in our group raved about their breakfast. We didn't eat any other meals there so I can't speak to lunch or dinner, but if breakfast was any indicator, they should be wonderful. In addition to breakfast they have a full coffee bar serving specialty coffees, all presented by a helpful friendly staff. Now for the areas for improvement. 1. Everyone complaint about the beds, they are not very comfortable will little cushion and too firm. Enough so that several said that would probably prevent them from returning. I didn't care for the bed in our Casita (#110, the only tiny house on the property), but I don't think it would prevent me from another stay at Tillman. 2. Pickle ball courts are a great touch considering this current fad across the nation. BUT they need to do something about the height of the containment fence. 3. No swimming pool! That's really a necessity at a facility like Tillman. At first, we thought the kids could swim/play in the river, but with 3-4" of water that's not an option. 4. The Luxury House was very nice, with a well-equipped kitchen and great deck sitting area out back. However, the A/C wasn't working properly, and it was warm on the first floor. Thankfully the weather wasn't seasonable hot, and it was bearable. 5. No hair dry or hangers in the casita #110 (tiny house), also others had the same issue. 6. Casita #110 had a full-sized refrigerator with an ice maker, but the ice maker didn't work; possibly didn't have water piped to ice maker. 7. We didn't have our pugs with us, but should we had they charge $50 per dog per day for dogs. That's outrageous per day, on top of that they don't have housekeeping services daily for the casitas. Doesn't matter if you dog is there one day or five, the cleaning cost is the property is the same. So it's just a way to take advantage of patrons. THIS WILL KEEP US FROM RETURN WITH OUR PUGS. They are actually more well behaved and much less messier than most children; and they don't charge a fee for children. read more

We came here for a short stay while visiting family. We stayed in one of the cabins on the west side of the resort, opposite from the RV area. The cabins are beautiful and with scenic "backyards" along the Blanco River. The resort is conveniently located just outside of Blanco and is close to several intersections that can connect you to San Antonio or Austin quickly. There are also shared common areas for grilling, tennis, and stargazing. The customer service here is also top notch and friendly. read more

Your kindness and helping us out day or night, weekday or weekend did not go unnoticed. You made everyone to feel like family and you do not find this feeling very often anymore. I applaud you for your dedication, the many get togethers and oh the laughs we shared. Without all of this I honestly do not think we would have survived this long.  This is not a goodby but see you later as we will be back to visit but in a cabin the next time! Even with the cooler weather in January, this place is an excellent getaway for you and your honey. We rented a cabin (110) and spent most of our time walking the riverside, doing wine tasting in town, catching live music and excellent food, or just staying in. It was quaint, clean, and comfortable. We will definitely return and book more nights than just 2. It wasn't enough. Thank you for your no-contact hospitality! I came to Texas from Virginia to visit my family. My family stayed at Tillman's Resort on Memorial Day Weekend. The pictures online do not do the property justice it's absolutely gorgeous. I had the chance to meet Stephanie and Bobby, and they are so sweet and so helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed for a great weekend stay. The house was clean and welcoming with a perfect kitchen and dining room. My favorite was the back porch sitting area that had a great view. Since Blanco is putting itself on the map as the "lavender capital of Texas," AND people are starting to warm up to the fact that it's only 45 minutes from Austin and San Antonio, AND rumor is that the population will double in just a few years...it may be nice to say that you knew country before country was cool. This B & B right on the Blanco River just a mile or so from the town square features oddly small on the outside spacious on the inside rooms, tastefully done, all with patios overlooking the river. I've never been so comfortable after a long hot day, sitting inside on these comfortable beds, the ac unit humming and talking nonsense to my family before we rally to go eat. High ceilings, nice long wide plank hardwoods and beds are super comfortable. Rates are $105 for a double bed room and $135 for a room with twin beds, and there's a small fridge with essentials to hold you over. Great stay for the lavender festival weekend in late May, early June. read more

We included Blanco Tx in our RV trip this past week. And we couldn't have asked for a more quaint spot to spend our 2 nights. From check-in until the morning we left, it was the most comfortable and relaxing stay! In our "backyard" was the Blanco River, just up the gravel road by foot was the coffee shop/restaurant, and by a short walk were the cabins. I could tell that someone had a dream of making this "settlement", with so many little Texas details, come to fruition. I definitely would recommend a visit! read more

Great Texas Hill Country. Situated on the banks of the river, it's just perfect for restful and relaxing while taking in the rustic beauty of the Texas outdoors. I recommend this place to anyone on a trip thru this region of vineyards, small farms, winding Texas back roads, and friendly people. The Blanco Settlement is much like a "tourist court" which dotted Texas highways in days before the 1960's with Holiday Inn and the like being host to travelers. But unlike those tourist courts along dusty roads, Blanco Settlement cottages spare no conveniences or expected amenities for you. DEFINITELY A 5 STAR operation. Super people too! Give it a try you will be as happy as we are--how happy? We already have plans to go back. One final thing my lovely wife loved was a great gift shop right on the site. BTW: If y'all (or all y'all) RV'ers are looking for a spot. It's right there. read more

Stayed here since we were having some activities in blanco and didn't feel like driving back and forth from Austin. There are a lot of positives: -great for families -areas for kids to play and run -pavilion with sink, bathrooms, fire pit -fire pits and nice outdoor furniture all over -Right on the water and huge oak trees shading everything. -a short trip from Austin or San Antonio, but a nice quite small town feeling. -the nicest camp host and family running the place. They are the epitome of small town America community and hospitality. I have heard that after the floods in the area in 2015, they used every cabin they had to House first responders free of charge...pretty cool. A few things we didn't like (but leaving at 5 stars because this is just personal taste): -dated rooms furnished with mostly antiques...but if this is neat to you this could be a positive. -lavender capital...I hate lavender again, suppose this could be a positive if you like it, just be aware the linens smell like lavender, the rooms are scented with lavender, and everything you bring with you will smell like lavender when you leave. read more

During a hill country cycling trip, our small group stayed at the Blanco Settlement. It is further outside of Blanco than I imagined but on a picturesque spot. It was super convenient to head out to the LBJ Ranch/Texas White House spot which was our lunch and tour spot. The property has a little convenience store on site which is nice since town is a bit further than a quick walk. It is quiet and there are individual little structures for lodging. My cabin had a nice porch with a view, a little kitchen/bar within the bedroom and a bathroom. There is a nice common area with a covered dining area and our group did a cookout and used the covered area for our musicians to play for us. That was super nice. Management was friendly and accommodating. The property was more rustic than most that we stayed at in our hill country tour but had a really nice vibe. If you want a place that is walkable into Blanco, it won't be your best option. If you want a nice, clean country experience, this is a group choice! read more

Great great place to visit for a girls weekend! Addis Is very attentive, conscientious and returns your calls. The cabins are immaculately clean. So peaceful and quiet, a great place to get your relax on. Have visited twice now and will be back next year for lavender festival! Not a lot of water in the river. The Blanco is historically shallow in this stretch but the State Park is a 5 minute drive away. When the river is up, it is a great place for kids but when the river is low, not such a great idea. We two, 40- something ladies Needed a break from adulting and this is an awesome place for that. Chilling out under the trees can't be beat. 10 stars for an exceptional experience. read more

We have been coming here for several years and have always loved it! This weekend we brought family and friends. We rented 9 cabins and 3 RV spots and couldn't have had a better weekend! Cabins are spacious, clean and have great beds. The grounds are always clean and manicured with wonderful oak trees to sit and enjoy the view. All together 5 stars. There are very good points and few negatives. It's a perfect family spot with a good balance of fun for everyone. Nice place good rv hook-ups and excellent service. The park host is very helpful. After calling everywhere for a 30' rv spot, last minute Memorial Weekend. Got a call back because someone cancelled, thank you. We had several different guest visit and they were treated good as well. Too many amenities to mention. The pot luck was awesome and the live music was a good touch. There's also a store that has very unique products. The kayaks, hiking and wildlife are cool but, mainly for the kids as they are more adventurous at this point. The perfect balance over all.
