While on vacation in Blanco, we stayed at the Riverside Cottages. Loved it! There's 4 super clean, comfortable cottages that are just great! The cottages are next door to the state park, and while staying here, you get free entry to the park. The river is just gorgeous, and it's a one minute walk. There are 3 dams inside the park which keep the water constant level. It is SO nice. We stayed 3 nights and just loved it. It's a very short walk to downtown, but we drove cause I'm lazy! The room has a king bed, futon couch, large bathroom, and a kitchenette. Everything we needed for a perfect stay! Air conditioner was cold and plenty of tv channels when you get lazy. Every morning was coffee on the front porch, so relaxing. Price during the week is excellent, I don't know about the weekends. We will definitely stay here again! read more

This place is clean and awesome. Right across from the Guadalupe. The view is great. The room superb. Soo clean and quite spacious for an overnighter. We walked across the walkway to the park across to fish for a little bit. Sat outside at night to just enjoy our time. Bed was super comfortable. The room was quiet even being close to a main street that runs through Blanco. Not alot of places to choose from to eat but, I bet you can find something. read more

Stayed there for 2 nights. Place was clean and comfortable. Short walk to a restaurant (Josie's Kitchen) and a state park. If I'm ever in that part of Texas again and need a place to stay, this will be the spot. read more

We spent a weekend in one of the cottages and found it most comfortable! Although Hwy 281 runs very close to this little place and you can hear it outside your cottage, there is NO noise inside! Clean and cozy, no complaints from us! Very nice place and we will definitely stay there again when we go back to Blanco! read more

BUY the state park pass. Not much point staying here without it because you will just be looking at scenery you can't visit. Choose on foot or by car reservation either one. The park drive in entrance is the road right before the riverside cottages a stone's throw away. With regard to the Villas entry was seamless. Punch in code, turn the deadbolt and you're in. Extremely responsive owner if you have questions. Be prepared for a noisy highway heard from the balcony constantly during the day. Pick villa 2 or 4 to be slightly further away from highway and better view of park. At night the cicadas nearly drowned the highway noise out. No noise inside while sleeping on super soft scented sheets with extremely comfortable bed. Bathroom was huge and clean. Not a fan of the 2 swinging bathroom doors with gap in middle. Microwave mini fridge and kitchenette were nice! The room itself large with plenty of storage. The courtyard at the villa had cute tables and a little fountain that ran constantly so there was always the relaxing sound of running water. There's a restaurant right next door. Their outside dining is right beside villa 3 balcony. You could easily have a conversation with someone over there. Good food..Convenient! Sunrise is visible beyond the restaurant and highway. A solid 3.5 stay if you have reservations at the park. read more

First off let me say I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could but I rounded up a tad. It was clean and I had no problems being comfortable. The pics however of the cottages are a bit deceiving. They are very small. But that said, it worked and it had all that we needed for our brief stay. The river is not accessible (without paying extra) nor in great view of the cottages due to spring and summer vegetation growth. Also there is a bridge very nearby with frequent traffic so that sort of steals away the serene sensation that could be possible otherwise. That said, the sound of the traffic is not bothersome while sleeping. Overall a solid stay. I just wanted to point out the pluses and minuses of this place. read more

What a beautiful property! We stayed in the Tuscan inspired villa and it did not disappoint. Check in was as simple as punching your given code into the door and voila, welcome to your getaway.
